Warning do not go here for any dental work. I had a post put in by an oral surgeon who does not make implants. I came here and was told since they do not make implants for the type of post I had surgically implanted and that they wanted to remove the implant and put one of theirs in. This is crazy I got up and just about ran out of that office. If your mechanic tried to do that with your car you would call that fraud. But the fact that this “doctor “ wanted to do this to me is incredibly dangerous. Apparently the oath of do no wrong does not apply to this dentist. It’s one this to provide poor service but to suggest an unnecessary surgery is criminal

I been going here for many years, and for every appointment I visited, wait times were always long (approx 3 hours each visit), so I thought that was the norm. But it took me to realized after many years it wasn't. (my new dentist have me check-in and out within an hour...) The last straw I had was when I waited for over 2 hours and half, and I still haven't seen the doctor or get my teeth checked when visiting this dental clinic. After they finally called me in, took my x-ray and sat me down, literally neglected for another hour, I just left. Because If I had wait any longer, it would of been another hour+ wait or process. Goodbye, West Coast Dental of Torrance, and hope this place would stop overbooking with just one doctor on the clock... The extra star is for the friendly staff and dental assistants.

MONEY HUNGRY. Horrible. Dr. Audi is a joke. She kept dropping her tools on my chest, as if the tray wasnt right next to her. She hooked my tongue with her sharp tools cus she was distracted by something then pulled it out and said sorry Not once, but twice she hooked me. After that she handed ME the suction tool and told me to follow her where she goes in my mouth, then proceed to give me a treatment plan of 9k. Then grabbed the water tool that sprays and ended up soaking the front collar of my shirt. Please if you have medi cal find another place. Also the front desk is a joke. I witnessed them place a customer on speaker so everyone can hear. After they hung up they talked so much crap saying he should go to Mexico and get the job done if he's gunna complain, but he was just trying to get info. Sad these are the People in health care. Do better little girls. Act like professional women.

Don’t go here if you want to be treated with respect or let’s face it, treated in general. My daughter had an appointment last month, they called me to reschedule because the children’s specialist was gonna be a no-show. Fine, we can reschedule. They rescheduled me for today at 8am- the office does not open till 9 officially but the specialist begins taking appointments at 7am they assured me. I am pregnant and on bed rest so my husband took my daughter this morning. They get there at 7:50 and nobody is in the office. I call the customer service number and they can’t get a hold of the front desk (because they’re not in) but say that the 7am appts were never checked in either. My daughter is in pain from the crowns this place installed and needs to be seen today so customer service tells me she can be seen at 9 and that if the specialist does not show up, the general dentist will take care of her and do her review and cleaning. Anyway, the receptionist gets there at 8:50 and looks annoyed at my husband for coming in before 9 so he tells her they had an 8am appt, there are notes on her chart from when I called. She says the specialist is not in and asked if he would like to reschedule for next month. I speak to her myself on the phone and she has an attitude with me as well- I let her know this WAS the reschedule appt as the children’s specialist canceled on her last time and my daughter is in pain and needs her care today like her appt was scheduled for. She says she’s not sure if my insurance covers a regular dentist seeing her since the specialist isn’t in, even though she was scheduled for the specialist and it’s their screw up yet again. She says she will check what they can do once the dentist is in. It’s after 9:20 and the general dentist still hasn’t shown up, my husband and daughter are still waiting with a room full of people. He is missing work And she is missing school and not to mention IN PAIN and we still don’t even know if they’ll see her. They also just asked for her insurance info AGAIN even though I sent it to them when they rescheduled her last month and they confirmed receipt. This is hands down the worst experience we’ve had with any company ever and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB if something does not change.

Didn't listen to my step dad when he said he was in pain during a procedure and continued with the same velocity. When I got my wisdom teeth removed here I told them I could feel pain. They told me it was just tugging as if I could not tell the difference between pain and tugging. I insisted several more times that it was painful and they (begrudgingly) gave me multiple injections in addiction to the few they gave me beforehand. After the procedure I was vomiting from all the anesthetic with a horrible migraine. No tooth pain though. Hooray?

The office staff is great at the West Coast located on Sepulveda Blvd. Just make sure they don't forget you are waiting and have an appointment after you sign in. My biggest complaint is with the doctor who gave me a laundry list of things that she said "needed" to be done to my teeth. After a second opinion from a trusted dentist, I discovered none of these supposed "necessary" things with the exception of fixing a chipped tooth. Thanks West Coast for showing your true colors. Never going back.

First time I was here I had a great experience. However I thought it was weird that they encouraged me too much to leave a good review online. They even gave me a business card with instructions for leaving a review. I wanted to leave a good review but it felt too weird cause of how they asked. Well apparently they will service some clients well on accident and then ask those clients to leave good reviews online. I know this because on my second visit it was a nightmare. Why schedule an appointment when they make you wait 3 1/2 hours. If I knew I was going to wait this long I would have not come. And on my second visit they kept saying I needed so many procedures. Sad to see corporations tapping into the health industry like this. I know this because my dentist buddy who has his own practice said my teeth are fine.

The worst dental experience I have ever had. I made an appointment for a standard cleaning at 9am, and I did not get called in until 10:30am. They took X-rays and brought me into another room. The insurance lady came over and told me the Doctor recommends getting a deep clean and liquid antibiotics, and it would cost me $1200. I let her know I would just like to proceed with my standard cleaning as my insurance covers this. She responded by saying "the doctor can't clean your teeth until you pay for the deep clean and antibiotics." I asked why, and she said the doctor needs to protect themselves as my teeth can get infected unless I pay for a deep clean. I then asked her if I could have the doctor just do a short floss and polish. She responded "why would the dentist floss your teeth, I just told you they are not going to work on you." I responded maybe they would clean my teeth since that is what dentists do and that's what my appointment was for, and told her I would no longer speak to her, and asked for the Doctor. She said the doctor was with another patient and I would have to wait. The doctor finally came over and gave me a 5 minute cleaning. The only bright spot was the hygienist. I don't understand how the woman who tells you the cost still has a job..... She is losing this business customers for sure.

Shorten the length of time for any visit. I spent more than 3 hours (exactly 3 1/2 hours) when I went for annual exam. This was my 2nd time visiting that location, the first one being last year. One of the personnel, who was explaining to me about the insurance, said that they were understaffed. I would have understood the situation, but my 1st visit (2hrs) was similar to the 2nd one I had recently… the waiting took so loooong. I didn’t even have any procedure nor cleaning done, it was only an exam. (Waited 45mins at the lobby. 15mins for Xray. They sat me down at the dentist chair, waiting for 1 1/2 hours. Examined by dentist 20-30mins. Waited again 20-30mins before I finally spoke to someone at billing) The staff was nice. But it would not rectify the distressing experience of waiting for that long… 3 1/2 hours! Going to the dentist already is an anxiety-laden trip, for most people. Typical visit time should be, 1-2 hours….. 2 1/2 hrs still bearable. But when it becomes 3 hours and more, that’s horrible!

*** don’t do it*** Horrible service !! It’s taken them since June to get my daughters fills done! We are now in the end of September. Really ? This is crazy. They move appointments without even calling. Cancel appointments morning of. And on top of that the lady’s in the office are rude! And got some funky attitude. But this to be expected at a medi-cal office. After this last service never coming back and will not recommend. We are going to a private GD like the office lady recommended. Come at your own risk . Let’s see if the WCD (owner) will respond to this comment. Cuz it seems they only respond to the good comments.

This place is not recommended at all. On first appearance, its a mess. Full garbage cans, chipped paint, etc. Second, not a comfortable environment nor did some staff seem trustworthy. awful experience where I went in, was called in after 10 minutes, sat in exam chair, took one look around and said No thank you. Then left without anything at all being done, thank goodness. This is an direct reflection of poor ownership and poor upper management. Will not recommend nor be back to any WCD location.

I made an appointment for myself and my daughter through Zocdoc, and the dentist office changed the date and time of both of them on their own. When I went in for my appointment they took x-rays, then made me sit and wait for 20 minutes for the doctor to come and examine me, and then made to wait for another 10 minutes before someone came and told me that my insurance actually wasn't covering everything and that I would have to pay a couple hundred dollars out of pocket. I can not recommend enough that you DO NOT use the dental office.

My son went in to have an extraction. He has a mental disability and when the procedure started and the numbing shot was given to him it hurt obviously. He made a noise out of pain and the dental assistant decided she was going to laugh at him. This was very insensitive and unprofessional. For anyone to be laughed at is wrong but for a person with a disability. My son has been traumatized by dentists in the past and they know this. They know he has a disability and they allowed this to happen. He once again is terrified of the dentist and in tears. I would not recommend this place at all.

The last two times I’ve been here the place has been understaffed. I know that this is not how dentist offices are supposed to be run. Defiantly a waste of time i got sent here for my child thru work insurance and i came because the issue my son STILL has needs immediate care when we first seeked help back in the last week of April I was told come in everything is good to go I came in and they had to confirm with the insurance even though they had confirmed before my appointment which is why I went In the first place because I live about 9 miles from there and I do not drive so had to make sure everything was good to go my appointment was at 12 I left at 4 and all they took was x Rey’s and the pediatric dentist was not there so they rescheduled for JUNE 4 I was angry because so much time for nothing and I had to wait a whole mounth …mid may they call me to confirm an appointment I never scheduled to see if my son qualifies for braces but I wasn’t told when I confirmed what it was for I just assumed it was for the work he desperately NEEDS so mid may I make a trip witch only lasted 1 minute because it was for the braces and I was so upset I didn’t have time or money to be coming and going and so I let it go…. About two week before my appointment I get a call saying that they will have to reschedule me for another week witch was today so I show up and they again took creta and I’m told I have to wait another three weeks for his actual appointment and they want to pull baby teeth out witch is unnecessary they are meant to call on their own in conclusion I have never wasted so much time in my life just for one thing to get my son the attention he so desperately needs and if I go else where it’s the same amount of time it will take to start a whole new process it’s just frustrating and this place gives me anxiety I will definitely never ever be coming back here again after my sons treatment I will switch everything it’s just the waste of time I can’t deal with also I have to pay every time I come in and I want told before my initial appointment as if they just came up with it four weeks later doesn’t the insurance pay for the visit already

The facility is extremely unprofessional. The wait is always so long. No communication while waiting 2 hours to see the dentist for just check up. Had to take time off from work to see the dentist and first few times couldn’t because of the wait (saying they had a lot of emergencies). For my ortho appt, also didn’t tell me that ortho was at a different location which made me late to my appt, and wasted my pto hours.

We took our 2-year-old daughter here three years ago and it was a horrible experience. First, they refused to allow a parent in the room with her, even though she had NEVER been alone with a stranger in her entire life and was only two years old, and they were very rude about it too. Second, they told us she had a cavity and they needed to do an expensive procedure to fix it, even though she'd never had sugar in her life and we were very careful about tooth care. We didn't trust them, so we got a second opinion from another dentist, and they didn't see any cavity at all. We've taken her to dentist appointments annually since then, and none of them have ever found a cavity. So we feel like they were either incompetent or trying to scam us.

This is, by far, the worst orthodontic office I've been to. Had to file a grievance with my insurance company to get my money back for negligent care, misplacement of brackets that caused the wires to break and brackets to fall off, poor customer service and lack.of availability. To top it off, they also tried to rip me off by charging me more than my copay. My insurance company sided with me and I got every penny back. If you're ever in doubt about this office's intentions, please contact your insurance company and file a complaint.

Took my son for his check up and cleaning. We were second on the sign up sheet but they took other patients in that signed in after us. We were there for over two hours before they told us they were unstaffed and didn’t have anyone to do the cleaning. Also, the time before that the dentist called in so we had to wait for an available dentist to show up. Not the best experiences here.

Most of the time I come for my check-up, I am at the office for over an hour. Today was one of the smoothest check ups I’ve had in a long time. Everyone in the staff was very welcoming and informative. Everyone communicated what was happening and checked on me frequently. West Coast dental is making improvement and it is not going unnoticed. Yes. you might have to wait, Yes. Things cost money, but your teeth are worth it. If you are looking for a Dentist office that really takes time to get to know you and you are the kind of person that wants to see smiles when you come in despite everyone wearing a mask then this is it. It's a community where you can laugh and joke and get appointments that work for your schedule. I've been coming since Feb and having had a bad experience at another office this one was really welcoming and transparent. It doesn't hurt that they gave me this cute little kit! They also accept Medical which is great.

Worse dental office! I brought my mom here to see if we can get her dentures done . The wait to see a dentist took over two hours to only get speak to the dentist for 15 minutes?! They also failed to send paperwork to Dentical to get the initial process for dentures after waiting for months and refuse to take any accountability. After that horrible experience, we never plan to go back but yet for some strange reason they went ahead and book my mom a dental check up without neither of our consent?! I don’t trust the way they practice and I see a lot of negative reviews for the same reason so I suggest you save your time and find another

Both dentists I saw were incredibly rude. Unfortunately I do not remember their names. One offered unsolicited medical advice regarding something decidedly not dentistry, something I find unprofessional at best. The other dentist was dismissive and rude while I was having a panic attack. I understand that witnessing a panic attack can be uncomfortable and there's no one-size-fits-all solution as every individual will have their own preferences. That said, "why are you crying?" is absolutely never a productive, helpful thing to say to someone who is crying! I can not think of a single instance in which it would help a situation. I was furious while leaving the office, but still I the midst of my attack so I couldn't articulate it. Those could have been one off instances, but there's more. I had my exam in March and had to get some authorizations approved. When I called back in May to find out what was going on, they said they would resend the authorization request and it really sounded like it had never been sent in the first place. It wasn't until August that I was contacted to make an appointment. Right before I got the call, I had gotten a letter from my insurance asking why I hadn't gotten the work done because they had approved it *50 days prior*. Frankly that alone was enough to make me lose trust in the practice. I am also intensely uncomfortable with signing papers in which I am certifying that I have had XYZ explained to me BEFORE the appointment has even started. I'm not convinced that I did in fact have everything explained to me because I was never sure what was going to happen in a given appointment and left each one confused. Most of the staff and aids were lovely people and very kind and I do not mean to lump them into this review. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get specific names and I'm sorry for that. I don't think that this practice was going to be a good fit for me regardless - I stated multiple times during each appointment that I had anxiety, so it should not have been such a surprise when I had an anxiety attack about it. I've spoken to my insurance and they would have approved nitrous so long as it was explained why it was necessary. But I was only told that it would be $300, hate it for you. Since I had to end the appointment and am now being sent to a different practice because you don't do sedation (even though the website says you do and it does not indicate that this location is exempt), it's obvious that it's necessary. I was just already incredibly anxious to be at the dentist in the first place, and all of the unsurety did not help whatsoever.

Here are three reviews, I’ll start with the best ones first. These first 5 star reviews are ONLY for YOLANDA and for the Regional Manager , Cristina Ricalday. I think Mrs Ricalday and Yolanda ( the front end clerical staff ) have really made up for the current Managers piss poor performance in more ways than I can explain. The current manager has treated me bad, and has openly admitted to blaming the owner and corporate for a numerous amount of things, like the bad reviews on here and the service she is able to provide to the community (patients). My first 5 Star Review goes to ———— Yolanda! Yolanda really has showed her patients a great deal of care, and SHOULD IMMEDIATELY REPLACE THE CURRENT MANAGER AT THE TORRANCE LOCATION, if you don’t believe me, please see for yourself. She is my favorite person to deal with, because unlike the manager at that office, Yolanda has went out of her way to ensure I was happy and satisfied every time. I put all the blame n the current manager of that office, who openly admitted to me in front of her staff that there won’t be a change in the office do to Corporate! Yolanda is the MVP of that office, and she should be rewarded for that alone. Now, my other 5 star Review goes to Regional Manager Cristina Ricalday. She has turned my frown upside down from dealing with the current manager at her location in Torrance. Yolanda is the back bone of that office, and I hope she gets promoted soon to the manager at that office. She would represent Mrs Ricalday a whole lot better than the current manager has done per the reviews on google and Yelp. I gave Mrs Ricalday another opportunity to have me and my child come back and try out their services one more time before leaving for good , and I was totally IMPRESSED! Luckily, the current manager wasn’t working, and that office seemed to run SOOOOO SMOOTHLY! Mrs Ricalday has turns me into a happy customer, and taken care of me. Due to her excellent service as a regional manager, I hope that she gets recognized by her board for going out of her way to please one customer , when she probably oversees thousands of customers. Bravo to you ma’am. Sadly… my last Review has to go to the Manager at Torrance . YOU GET ABSOLUTELY NO STARS AT ALL. I can’t even give up a nice comment on anything. You’re not a leader, rather you’re a poor excuse of a leader. You’re willing to plateaus your whole office and then lead them to failure. You have had almost nothing but horrible reviews from your patients, and that’s sad. You blame everyone else but yourself for the way your office is recognized on reviews. You blame corporate for being over booked, and you haven’t spoken up about change, because you told me in front of everyone in your office” nothing will change , and this is the way it is here”. What a joke! Because of your lackluster performance, I have had to reach out to your boss, and she ensure me a change would happen, and a change has happened. I have came in twice when u were not there , and Yolanda and the fill in manager were so much nice and easier to deal with. The manager treated me poorly, and that isn’t a way to keep revenue for a million dollar company, that’s a way to hurt a million dollar company. If this was Undercover Boss, I would legit fire her , or demote her to a lower position. With this current manager , this ship ?️ will crash at sea, given she doesn’t improve her knowledge on basic forms, scheduling , following up with clients , and EVERYTHING OFFICE RELATED TO A DENTAL OFFICE. Closing, I do recommend coming here. If u come here, please talk with Yolanda for the best service, because from my experience… you CANNOT trust or communicate with the current manager, and expect good results .

I would never ever comeback or go to ANY WESTCOST DENTAL CLINIC anymore. And WILL CONVINCE ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT GO THIS clinic. Thats how DISAPPOINTED I am. My appt was at 8 but didn’t get seen until after 9 while multiple people who signed in after me were taken. Didn’t leave the office until after 10:30am for a cleaning, which they charged me $280 for when I have dental insurance.. When I left I asked for a print out of what was done in the office and they would not provide it, just a receipt of my payment.

UPDATE: Downgrading my initial review because of disappointing hygiene care. The first cleaning I had by Kasha was excellent! Since then there was a different person every 6 months whose skill level appeared to be fresh out of a dental program with no practical experience. I canceled an appointment because of a sore jaw issue, and they kept bugging me to reschedule. Now I'm back to the hunt for a decent HMO dentist... sigh. VERY pleased with my first time here! Everyone was very pleasant & professional during my long appointment time for x-rays, cleaning & crown prep. Dr. Val was great in explaining all that needed to be done. No upsell for whitening or any other services which I really appreciate! Kasha was especially delightful while doing hygiene & temporary crown work. Everything was smooth sailing, from making the appointment & filling out new patient forms online, to getting my insurance coverage & billing set up with ease by Abby and the other young lady in the front office. They are completely COVID-19 compliant and I waited in my car for only about 15 minutes after check-in. In a sea of what seems like an HMO dentist clinic on every corner, I'm sure glad I did my research and settled on this one!

Avoid this high turnover dental office. The dentist I loved left a long time ago. Now there’s Dr Audi, she’s the dentist and the hygienist. She attempts to render unnecessary services and if you refuse, she won’t do anything. I was there yesterday for 2hrs. I will let my insurance company know and then I’ll be moving on.

Unprofessional staff from the front desk to the dentist technicians. My first visit I waited over 1 hour after my appointment before I went up to the front desk and to see what the issue was. They said it would still be another hour to complete X-rays… I left. Unfortunately I had to reschedule a second time for a teeth cleaning. Upon arriving for the second time, I waited over 1 hour again, to be brought back for X-rays and then was notified that the suction system was down so they could not finish cleaning my teeth. I was forces to schedule a third appointment for my teeth cleaning. The third visit was a 30 min wait to be seen. They told me I had “spots where cavities were starting.” I was dumb enough and listen to them. Spend a few hundred dollars to fix that and another $250 to fix a small chip in my tooth. The glue they used to fix the chip is still rough when I run my tongue over it and left a foul chemical smell in my mouth for over a month. Complete rip off. Communication between the staff is unorganized. I was required to come back 3 separate times to get my teeth cleaned and had to pay office visit fee every time. Best advice, go somewhere else! Save yourself the stress, time and money.

Everything can be improved about a person’s visit at this location. I have been coming here since I was a child and I have never experienced such a negative visit like today. I waited almost three hours and was not seen by the dentist. I had an appointment at 10:00 am. My x-rays were taken at 11:00 am an hour after arrival. At 11:30 am I was finally seated. At 12:30 pm I had been given no updates about how much longer I would be waiting. So I went to the front office myself to see how much more I would need to wait. At this point in time I was told approximately 10 more minutes. I waited 20 more minutes before leaving. This type of service is ridiculous, I do not ever plan on coming back. I am extremely unhappy and disappointed with my visit today. No one should ever have to experience such a long wait time. Not once was I given an apology. What I experienced today is unacceptable.

Had an appointment for a routine checkup. After sitting there for 2 hours and 10 minutes with only X-rays having been done I was told it would be at least another 30 minutes before a review or cleaning would begin. I was asked to either continue waiting on the chance they might actually do something or make a future appointment where I could begin the waiting all over again. I left. My record for a cleaning at this location is 3 hours. The staff does pretty good work but they could not care less about wasting their customer's time.

The worst Experience I had with Dentist clinic, the made two big mistakes ,they were going to remove my wisdom tooth,after they give me nom ,they realised its not wisdom teeth . They mad me wit 3 months to got approval from the insurance ,and after the approval cam and I had app to treat it, The front office unhelpful and so aggressive and they not respect the patients and their times . very bad and not professional place .

I had to come in to get rid of an excruciating pain in one of my molars. Dr Amal Audi and her assistant Jake helped get rid of the pain and fly through half a root canal until I could come back to finish it. The proceedure took 45 minutes and the pain from the surgery didn’t last long. She is a very passionate and sincere DDS. I would recommend her to take care of your dental needs.

Good dental work but appointments are never on time. If you get there on time you will be sitting in the lobby for at least an hour, maybe an hour and a half before you are called. I notice this happening consistently at every appointment. Finally had enough and moved to a dentist who respects my time. Would not recommend.

Office staff lied to me for over 2.5 months regarding getting my wisdom teeth extracted, they had me sitting in the dental chair for over 5 hours on my last visit for absolutely no reason. I was not seen even one time in the whole 5+ hours I sat in that chair. I went in for my 9 am appointment today 5/17/2023 and was not taken back till 9:45 am, and was refused service by the dentist because as she stated “there was to much confusion” around what procedure was to be done. So they told me to leave and no procedure would be done. The staff is very unprofessional, all the staff from the front desk to the dentist and specialist themselves. They overbook their appointments WAY to much and just have everyone sitting around doing nothing other then waiting. They must enjoy wasting other people’s time because that is all that is done at this dental office. I will never recommend this dentist to ANYONE, nor will I ever be doing business here again. I will also be reporting this business to the BBB for their lack of communication, organization, and I highly believe they are scamming the government of money.

2hrs and 45 mins I waited for a cleaning, and it didn’t even happen because their suction machine wasn’t working. They tried to sell me for periodontal whitening for $1k. They told me I only had pediatric insurance. I called them and they corrected the office. What a mess.

Very rude office employee who I dealt with, a very overweight lady, possibly Melisa Licerio. She was argumentative with me and, with her back turned toward me, said something about me to the person who cleaned my teeth. I got the left side of my mouth deep cleaned and the hygienist didn’t spend very much time at all - at most 15 minutes - cleaning my teeth and gums. When I returned to the office later in the day to get a more detailed statement of services rendered to make it easier to get reimbursed by AFLAC, the same very overweight lady refused to enter the information on the computer and instead wrote it in. Also, after I came back and asked for help with the statement, the overweight lady took out her food and took her time before helping me. Very unfriendly and mean. To do better - retrain or fire the very overweight lady and have the hygienist properly do his job or get one who will.

I had not been seen in 18 months when I came into the office Jan 27th for my 9 AM appointment. The young girl with the long dark hair said she searched my name through the data base and that I had no insurance, which I KNEW was incorrect. So I missed my 9 am appointment. I called back to the office and spoke to Roger. He researched my file and found my insurance then scheduled me to return the same day at 3 PM. Dr. Ali examined me and said my teeth are in great condition and just needed a simple cleaning. The dental assistant ONLY BUFFED my teeth. Carlous assured me if I needed any plaque removed that the technician buffing my teeth will alert him to come to remove. The technician never summoned Carlous so I was surprised that after 18 months my teeth had no build up,so when I got home, which is across the street, I checked my teeth and was LIVID when I saw OBVIOUS BUILD UP of plaque! That young man sent me away KNOWING my teeth had build up which he could not remove with buffing!! If I did not check my teeth and return to arrange a solution, I could have developed worse symptoms. Well the hygienist, Carlous promised to personally clean my teeth today February 3rd. Today, Carlous saw that my teeth needed a deeper cleaning than a basic simple cleaning than what Dr. Ali recommended after his exam. Carlous scraped the plaque from my teeth, the plaque was not in my gums, Carlous told me I have periodontist. That is not "great condition" as Dr. Ali claimed. I am very grateful to Carlos. I don't understand how Dr. Ali's examination resulted in my merely needing simple buffing. That is unprofessional and unethical, or either he's just a bad dentist, or a criminal, because if he is not a bad dentist then he committed fraud. I would like to reiterate that Roger was awesome and Carlos super awesome!! I doubt if I will return because I don't trust Dr. Ali Will give me an honest diagnosis that will not jeopardize the future health of my teeth.

This was my 1st time here...it was so busy and I had to come back but it was so worth it! Elaine & Rodger at the front desk was so nice and helpful. They even charged my phone, I really appreciate them taking the extra steps to call to assign myself to the facility. The X-Ray tech Greg was so gentle with me because my teeth hurt so bad. He kept talking to me so I wouldn't focus on the pain. Super nice!!! I had 2 interns named Joseph & Raquel. They were so patient with me and very informative. They will make amazing dentist!!! They grad in June I heard, happy for them! The actual doctor was straight to the point and made some jokes, I appreciate it! And the office manager Zolia was straight to the point. I loved it! Never. Not once, have I ever been seen anywhere close to my appointment time. Everyone always has an excuse as to why they can't show up for work on time. They double and triple book times, and regularly I've had to sit in a chair for 1-2 hours. Not sure if other offices are better. But, to the Torrance office, serial lateness is a character flaw. You should work on that.

Absolutely the worst experience me & my wife had at any place of business. At first we both got appointments just under 3 days of the call to make the appointment. I even said to the receptionist that I expected a much longer waiting time for the appointment. We both found out why they wanted to see us in so rapidly. Upon after getting both our x-rays and exams they quoted us for unnecessary dental work that would cost multiple of thousands of dollars. Both me and my wife were unemployed and had Medical Insurance. It seems to me that they only wanted people's monies and not provide the proper and professional care for their patients regardless of their incomes. Medical covers x-rays, exams, cleanings, tooth extractions and basic dental work. We both were supposed to be scheduled for an appointment to have the necessary work done. Mine was just deep cleaning on a few teeth. After not receiving any calls for over 2 weeks, my wife decided to call them. They asked her to come in the next day and she ended waiting for nearly 4 hours. After watching a few patients that came in after her and was being seen before her, decided to speak up and ended refusing any services the office had to offer (which was none at all). I never got any phone calls for anything at all. We both figured out that our insurance claims were denied without any follow up phone calls to either one of us. How could they be denied when we just wanted the basic dental work done and our insurance covered what we needed? Sorry we didn't want your ridiculous false examinations for work we didn't need to fit your financial quotas or pocketbooks. One thing to add, when my wife went back in the office, one of the receptionist informed my wife that the "Dentists" that saw her that day, were not the usual Dentists that operate in this office. So go figure. Yeah, I strongly suggest that you make sure you know what you're getting into by choosing this dental office. Me and my wife chose to go elsewhere. This place of business sucks!!!

Went in with my twins. We were all scheduled for a cleaning by "corporate" said the dental insurance lady at the front. We were there for FOUR hours to be told at the very end they had to reschedule us because the "hygienist" is only there on Friday. I could have left at the very beginning had she told me that but she assured me they "might" be able to do the cleaning one hour in of our wait time(THAT'S THE REASON WE STAYED). Honestly this has been done a couple of times prior. There is always a new receptionist, assistants and EVEN the dentist. The only one that has remained through these 3 or 4 past years is the insurance lady that always suggests "she'll submit for payment" from the insurance. In the mean time, reschedule.?♀️ Does the dentistry bill for the office visit???? If so, this would completely make sense.

The dentist never even looked at the problem I was there for. He looked in my mouth and gaves some numbers to his assistant and walked out. Then she came in telling me what I needed to do. I told her I here to just get my denture repaired. She looked at it and said it can't be repaired. I took my denture back and went and bought denture repair temporary fix and did it myself and still using it today. I'll never go back there again.

After dealing with toothache I came here and was recommended a crown. During the procedure Dr. Hankins was very accommodating and very experienced on his skill. The procedure went smooth and hardly felt any pain. My xray technician with the tattoo on his hand was the best! He was very sweet and patient and also extremely knowledgeable. However, the dentist Mr. Hankins was a real jerk. He was mean rushed me and yelled at me about my teeth. This is why I avoid dentists I always have to deal with the embarrassment and discomfort of asking for help. I would not recommend Dr. Hankins to my family and friends I hope to change my dentist soon

I had to contact you guys more than 4 times to make sure my insurance was up to date. I went a few weeks ago after calling to give my insurance and was told it was not updated… I rescheduled my appointment to today. When I went in for my 1100 appointment, there were two other patients there also for their 1100. We all came in around the same time and I ended up waiting over 30 min. Then I was only seen for X rays and consultation and was told I needed to wait 1 hr for the cleaning because of the 2 patients ahead of me. I’ve never made a dentist appointment just for X-rays. The manager said it was because they don’t know if patients will receive deep cleaning or regular cleaning. They schedule multiple patients at the same time and expect people to wait. On their sign in sheet, it was 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t schedule it in 30 min intervals so they can get to all the patients. I definitely would not recommend this facility.

Everyone is super nice, my son had a regular check up but didn't like the fact that the dentist doesn't take the time to explain and show you the problem. The dentist said my son had a deep groove. I stayed quite for a few seconds to see if he would explain what that was. He didn't, until I asked him he explained and told me he pulled food out of it, which he didn't show me. He was literally in the room with my son and I for what it seemed 5 mins. Then he said he recommended sealants to prevent any damage on the tooth and someone will come to talk to us. Since you are asking my feedback ....I think you should explain and show the patient/parents the problem and if they pulled food show them as well to gain the patient's trust because you definitely didn't gain my trust by not showing me the problem.

Wish I would have read the reviews before scheduling here, everyone is right! I waited over 1 hour for a 6 months cleaning that my kids needed, they did a 10 min cleaning for my son and my daughter now has te be rescheduled because even though we made an appointment 6 months ago go for the cleaning they don’t guarantee that they will do the job. Most likely you will have to schedule another appointment for a wait over an hour for an10 min cleaning. It’s so disappointing they don’t care about peoples time all they want is your money. I was told my son needed a some kind of gel that would prevent him from getting cavities that was $60 a tooth and was not covered by the insurance. Of course I said no and they were upset. Then they told me my daughter had a cavity and it would take about $800 to get it fixed and of course insurance company didn’t cover it. I told them that I would need a second opinion. Didn’t even do her cleaning because they didn’t have time and had to reschedule! Don’t come here I will not come back again! Why why why is it sooo hard to find a good dentist these days, that doesn’t see you as a piggy bank. So disappointing!!!!!! DON’T COME HERE!!!!!

Urgency without details: I was told I needed to perioprotect, a tube of 1.7% hydrogen peroxide gel that comes with a fitted dental tray. I let the manager know that I was unemployed and my insurance couldn't cover the product, paying eight-hundred dollars would be too much to pay. I felt very pressured and was not given any alternative options for treatment. I went home and did research and found that there are less costly products with similar ingredients that can be easily found at a drugstore. The active and inactive ingredients are very similar to over the counter mouth wash. I advise future clients to do their research on this product. Failing to comply with medical record request: I requested copies for my past visits in early January of 2022, I was told that they would be emailed end-of-day, but to this day I have not received them. In addition, in my experience with the office scheduler, receptionist, and manger, they will tell you your request or questions will be handled at the "end-of-day" but this has not been true in 3 instances nor is an explanation supplied. Denying copies of a patients medical records is a violation of patient rights. Failure to provide all relevant information needed to give informed consent to dental care: I called the front-desk to ask about my deep cleaning appointment. I asked who would be cleaning my teeth, her response was I can't give you that information. I also asked about the procedure and anesthetics and she said "ill get back to you end-of-day." Again, I didn't receive answers about my procedure nor was I given an explanation. This is a major red flag. And again a violation of patient rights. WCDT have yet to recognize the importance of using clients preferred name and pronoun in all situations: The label says LGBT friendly however their intake paperwork has yet to reflect transgender or gender non-conforming inclusiveness. Providers should have a space for preferred name and pronouns on all forms, and use this when talking to or about any client. The patient consent to treatment does not include gender identity in their non-discrimination policy. Studies show that filling out forms, to the language used in a medical office maybe an obstacle that can make obtaining healthcare more difficult for clients who self-identify as transgender or gender non-conforming. For these reasons I have lost trust in West Coast Dental Torrance to prioritize my needs as a patient. If you're a future patient, make sure you know your rights, do your research and watch out for these red flags.

By keeping up with appointments scheduled. Each time I’ve come in I’ve waited 30+ minutes in the waiting room even though I have appointments scheduled and show up on time. Then had to wait again in the chair. This time I showed up at 10:03 for a 10am appointment. Was called to get X-rays around 10:30. Taken to the chair around 10:45, not seen by a dentist till around 11:10. Told they wanted to do a teeth cleaning on me same day but that they needed to see about scheduling it. I let the lady know that I needed to leave soon for work and she insisted she’d try to get me in and schedule the appointment. I waited till exactly 11:30 and then left as I still hadn’t had anyone come to start cleaning my teeth and I still had to drive back to work! I don’t have 2 hours for a 6 month dentist checkup when I made an appointment.

it was extremely thoughtful and kind ! But , its unfurtanetly when they see I have abrations and its a money maker for them ! To assume that I brush with hard toothbrush or I'm brushing the wrong way" brushing tiles of the floor" really. Did you ask me how was i brushing or even ask what kind of toothbrush I use. there are so many variables , it just boggles the mind! never coming back to this clinic. be careful with there suggestions and get a second opinion !!!!!

Will not return made me wait 54 minutes for a prophy, freezing cold in facility and finally after I complained a person came in to clean my teeth. No one ever identified themselves to me If the person was a Hygienist, she drowned me with water and then polished and flossed my teeth. Dentist and X-ray tech was great. However, not happy with the way this facility operates. This facility has a new staff every 3-6 months. No consistency, also I feel scammed every visit. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I felt as if I was being Up- sold on services. My total cost came up to $589 plus $189 for my daughter. At Dentist Dr. Ma’s in Lomita her staff is very professional and runs your insurance before your visit letting you know what’s not covered; therefore you have no surprises. If you schedule a six months cleaning and your insurance doesn’t cover this service twice a year please disclose beforehand preventing unnecessary mishaps. In addition, this is a place you go to when your unable to go to the good facilities elsewhere.

I think the doctor is experienced but he has not time time to pay attention to a patient. There were many patients waiting for single doctor.. I would avoid this place.

Everything was straight forward and understanding. Just like always I enjoy going with Dr.Miguel who’s the one who always does my cleaning . This dentistry is located between a COVID testing center and a 7 Eleven. As I was waiting over 1 hour and 30 minutes to be seen, a homeless guy walked by the window which was covered in graffiti. If that isn't enough for you not to come here, please keep reading. I walked in with no greeting and asked to fill out 7 different sheets of paperwork. There were no clean pens and no hand sanitizer left. Went to get an X-ray and the guy threw the X-ray vest on top of me with no hello, how are you doing, nothing. I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes and heard that same guy pathetically trying to flirt with the other coworker at the front desk. No apology for the waiting. Nothing.

I've waited for several appointments here for 2+ hours to get called back. It's always packed and not enough seating. Today we waited from 10am to 11am, an hour just to be told they needed to reschedule us. They said there were 2 employee call outs which they could have called me in the morning to reschedule before I came in. Using the call center is pointless. They always schedule way too many patients for the time slots. I'm pretty irritated about today.

I would recommend going anywhere but here, unless you like wasting your time. I live on an island in AK so I decided to get my teeth cleaned while visiting family in LA. I called multiple dentist offices to get an appointment and most of them told me they were booked on the day I was hoping to come in, which is perfectly understandable. I was really glad and surprised when West Coast Dental of Torrance told me they could take me just a couple hours after I called. It turns out the reason they were able to book me was because they didn't care about having me sit for 3.5 hours in the waiting room to get my teeth cleaned. They took my x-rays within 15 minutes of my 10 am. arrival (I showed up at 9:50, 10 min before my scheduled appointment), but after that I did not get my teeth cleaned until 1:30 pm. A guy sitting next to me had also showed up on time for his 10 am appointment and was seen around 1:30, like me. The staff kept saying they were short staffed. I understand being short staffed, but if that is the case, stop booking people for appointments when you know you can't service them in a timely fashion. I asked the receptionist about the wait about an hour and a half in--I wasn't angry and addressed her very calmly. I just wanted to know if the wait was going to be a good while longer so that I could perhaps go and run another errand during the wait. She said she would check--got up from her desk, and then never returned to update me. I was also quoted a very inaccurate price on the phone for the teeth cleaning. When I told the manager this she said she always tells her girls not to quote people because they don't really know. I think it is more than reasonable for a receptionist to know the base price for a basic service like a regular cleaning. The quote was several hundred dollars off because she told me the price of 1/4 of my mouth cleaning instead of the full thing. I thought it was a lame excuse and is probably something a dentist office does because they know you are unlikely to decline the work after waiting 3 hours to be seen. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else. One more thing: you might be thinking these complaints only apply to the receptionist, and if the services themselves are decent, it doesn't matter. Since neither the manager nor the dentist expressed very much understanding of the disrespect of my time, I felt the place lacked integrity as a whole

Unfortunately several issues it’s been happening since day one I should follow my instincts then. A) sending me to another clinic, make an appointment and for them to tell me the day of the appointment that they don’t do this type or treatment. B) no respond from a supervisor o manager from this location after leave a message to contact me. I call corporate or main office they couldn’t contact the supervisor at the moment she told me that she will be sending her email for her to contact me to help me to get another clinic where they could do the treatment that I need… but that never happened nobody call me or E Mail me or text me from this location… if you look on my files you should be able to see when I call corporate.. C) the main reason why I look for a dentist in the first place was for an issue that I have on my lower front tooth, on the fist visit they just clean my teeth. That was more then a year ago, they are focus on treatment that I need with more cost.? d) I know that business are business, but they should show more compassion… not only for money. My last visit as soon I set on the chair a person on charge of finanzas (manager) she approached me to talk about the most expensive treatment again that need to be done, I have to mentioned her that if we could talk about what brought me to this visit first? Finally I’ve talk about my problem with my front teeth it’s been hurting again, she said to fix this tooth is around 1,400 of course I didn’t have in my plans that kind of money, so I left again with no treatment …. It’s been more than a year and guess what? I still with the problem of my front lower teeth, which it was the main reason why I went to this place a year ago. 2 doctors were talking to me on my visits no one show any good costumer service or hospitality, the last one was a lady from Middle East, I’m sorry to describe her like that but I don’t even know her name. Don't recommend this place at all. This place has ridiculous long waiting times to be seen. If your appointment is at 9:00 a.m. get ready to be seen one hour or two hours later. Staff was late, and the case manager was not there. And staff is not friendly at all. This place is a mess, it doesn't look like they know what their doing in the front. While being there saw a lot of patients complaining that was a red flag ?for me to just find another place to go.

Horrible... receptionist are rude and dismissive. We had an appointment today at three and we had to wait two hours and a half to be seen. Specialist is there only once a month and last month she was not there so this created a bigger wait. Whenever you have a problem they can never book an appointment. This only happens on tusday when the specialist are there. After three hours they tell me they dont have the part for the appointment and i have to wait another month. Not recommended especially since they tell you will call you back and i have to ask the manager and they never seem to call you back. Very dissapointed.

The worst experience I have ever had. Incompetent staff. I was just here for a teeth cleaning! Very simple and basic. The front desk staff seem like ESL (english as a second language) students who do not know how to use computers or communicate properly. 4 primarily spanish speaking staff at the front desk and they still could not figure out which patients were in line. Very sad. I arrived on time and waited over 2 hours for routine teeth cleaning. Through the years (I have been here approximately 5 or 6 times) the front desk staff, dental assistants, dental hygienists, etc. have always seemed like they had mental disabilities BUT the dentist Dr. Mena Abraham did a fantastic job. Straight to the point and was very informative. He never pushed any procedure that was not needed. That was the reason I kept coming back. Come to find out today that he left in early 2021. That along with waiting over 2 hours for routine teeth cleaning is unacceptable and I will not be returning ever again. This place is a mess honestly. The support staff (front desk, dental assistants etc.) is ever changing probably due to them making close to minimum wage and their administration is horrible at training them. Very disappointing that they just can’t seem to get it together. For new patients hopefully it will get better but I doubt it. They need to restructure their whole payroll, fire everyone and start over.

Staff is friendly and orthodontist is awesome. However, orthodontist is only in office once a week and good luck trying to see her. They make you an appointment and call you the day before that they have to cancel because the doctor won't be in. Braces should be adjusted every month and i think they have canceled or rebooked the last 4 or 5 appointments. Very inconvenient for working parents and they get your money upfront and then can't do the work. 2 years of braces will probably turn into 3 or 4 years at this rate.

My name is Michael Rizkalla. I had an appointment today for a regular check up and regular cleaning. I went to the clinic and waited for two hours from 9 am to 11 am and I met the one in charge there, her name is Zoila, and she told me I wasn’t doing my cleaning today and that my cleaning is due only once a year. To do my cleaning today, she said I had to pay $600. I have been at this clinic for five years now and have been doing my cleaning twice a year, every six month. My question now is: why did you schedule an appointment for me from the beginning if you weren’t going to do cleaning? Why did you call me and schedule an appointment for me and leave me waiting for two hours if no service was due for me??? And when I asked Zoila to check my patient history to see that I have been regular cleaning twice a year, she said she can’t see my patient history and can’t access my information. I don’t understand how she is the manager of the place if she doesn’t know what she’s doing and the entire staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. She and all the staff are lost and she is unsuitable to be the clinic manager. I have been with this clinic for five years and the service keeps getting worse, and this current staff is the worst staff I’ve seen.

It was a terrible experience. If you want to get an extraction, then go somewhere else. They have a surgeon that only comes in once a month. ONCE A MONTH. Even if you have an appointment, you will definitely wait 2-4 hours passed your original appointment time. They blamed the call center for overbooking the patients. So do yourself a favor, and go to another dental office that is not any of the West Coast Dental clinics. I gave this a one star because I had to wait 3.5 hours passed my original appointment time to tell me that they can’t do my extractions. I was already consulted in March with this location. They evaluated my teeth, did they whole X-ray and told me they can do the extractions on my 4 wisdom teeth. I got set up for May to have them extract my wisdom teeth. May comes and 3.5 hours later, they said they can’t do it due to not having the proper equipment and that it is better to do it with a hospital. I was absolutely livid. I completely wasted my time. So incompetent. Just don’t bother with them or any of the other West Coast Dental clinics.

Went in to make sure my wisdom tooth extraction was healing properly. I was still having issues with pain and swelling. Dr was very nice and gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and ibuprofen.

This office is consistently 30 minutes-1 hour late for my appointment every single time, today I waited 2.5 hours for a 5 minute cleaning. No one ever came to explain the delay or apologize for being so behind schedule. Wont be coming back.

The dental assistant was nice, and the receptionist was also very nice... BUT the Doctor herself was absolutely unprofessional. I scheduled a cleaning for 2:30pm, I expected to wait a while because we are still in the middle of a pandemic so I understand that waiting was gonna be something I would have to bear which was okay, but I was I didn’t expect was to wait 2 whole hours and got seen at 4:30 pm to get seen by the Dr, and when she came in she literally looked at my teeth for 1 minute, said I didn’t have any cavities, left the room and proceeded to tell the receptionist something. When the receptionist came back she told me that we would have to reschedule my cleaning for another day, when I asked why she then told me it’s because the Doctor LEFT. How did the doctor who just saw me a couple minutes before just suddenly disappear and leave their patient? The receptionist apologized and said “I’m sorry I don’t know why she’s like that”. So I’m assuming this particular doctor does this often enough that this is a known characteristic. I wasted 2 hours of my time, time away from my child as well since I am A single working mother who’s time is very limited and it’s difficult to find availability to make appointments like this. I’m just so disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience.

If I have to rate it on today’s visit alone then it’s a two-star. I am a new patient so you would think they would make this first visit the best experience but NO! I was advised to show up 10-15 minutes early for my 3pm appointment. I arrived at 2:40pm to allow ample time to complete new patient paperwork prior to appointment time. Obviously over booking is an issue at this office because my daughter didn’t go back to see anyone until 3:52pm. Then in that 45 minutes waiting in the lobby 6 other patients have came in and the front office is crowded and not allowing for safe social distancing so I decided to wait for my daughter in the car. My daughter then text me and tells me they need a signature from me and left to find me....how was the missing signature not found in the 45 minutes I spent waiting past my daughter appointment time. I pre/scheduled the orthodontist consult before this experience so I’m going to give it this last shot before I look for another dentist for my daughter and myself. Finding a good dentist and an office with customer service is proving to be a challenge these days smh.

I had an appointment for 11am, got there filled out the form been waiting over 2hrs and I haven't been attended to, to think I took off a day off at work just to make this appointment. I walked up to the front desk to ask how long more to wait. No one had any idea, I stepped put only to be bombarded with text and email asking how was my service, what service exactly! The one that never happend? Definitely changing my insurance.

Wow what a difference from my experience 6 months ago..from waiting 2 hours in the waiting room until treatment then to only 10 minutes now..!! I think all the staff have been to a charm school or maybe they were riding on a bus to Damascus and got struck by lightning. From initial greeting right through to the dentist and hygenist..everyone was extremely courteous..friendly and caring..I hope they keep this standard up..my next visit maybe they have some sort of entertainment and refreshments. This is an update as I went for an implant and a crown recently after the lifting of virus restrictions. Dr. Abraham is a very skillful dentist he is very patient and spends time on detail. I am extremely happy with the results and my daughter who is 18 and very picky could not figure which was the implant as they got the shade just right. The front desk continue to be very nice and efficient. John

I was very disappointed with my visit. The Dentist did not take the time to answer my questions and concerns. I just got a list of what he wanted to do and was referred to the staff member who was to outline the costs. I felt I was in a car dealership rather then a dentist office. They lost me as a client.

Nicest people around town! Had 3 wisdom teeth removed and scaling done here. Walked in insanely nervous but the staff managed to calm me down. My teeth were a disaster and these guys/gals changed all that. Quit making excuses like me, these saints will get you looking presentable.

Run far away from this place. The front office is unorganized, incompetent, lazy, negligent and rude. I'd have to write a novel about my experiences from there. Unfortunately, Dr. Abraham and the hygienists are all amazing and have been the only reason why I've stayed there for years but the office staff is so horrible I can no longer handle it. They have caused myself and my poor daughter enough headaches and stress. All you'll ever hear from them are excuses and most certainly will not hear any apologies when they've made obvious mistakes. The pediatric specialist Dr. becker shows no compassion for children with anxiety and when you question her recommendations she gets upset and refuses to treat you. Please don't waste your time here. Do your research and find somewhere else.

Really long wait on 12/1/20... who get there at 330 and still haven't been called its now 530 and more and more ppl going ahead of me... The ortho department is really ride... and quick to ask about a payment but not giving the best customer service... they only give great customer service to they ppl in the area ... I live in long Beach I don't appreciate the time and gas spend and money wasted on West coast to get treat unfair.... bad ? Then before I even got called I got a thank you text I wasn't even in back I guess they was short stuff idk but the girls in front want nice to me... Doctor is always nice to me... love her ...

I have been with WCD for the past five years with my braces and regular check ups and cleaning. This past week, I went in for a consultation for a tooth that has been giving me aches and pain for the past 5 months or so, and as a broke college student, I was extremely worried about finances and the kind woman in the back of the front desk consulted with me for my options and completely understood my feeling about the upcoming procedure. She did her absolute best in explaining my choices and relieved me sooooo so much. I 100% recommend going here for a first, second or even third opinion on any big procedures, thew staff us wonderful even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. I am grateful to have been seen as more than just a patient.

I called to make an appointment to have my wisdom teeth extracted and I specifically asked if they used sedation prior to making the appointment, not nitrous or local Anesthesia. I drove 30 miles for the appointment and upon arriving the office manger was not only arrogant and borderline condescending prior to verifying my insurance, but come to find out that they did NOT offer sedation. Needless to sayI left the office with nothing done, still in pain and my time wasted with nothing more than a shallow apology and that they would “talk” to the scheduling service”.

The people who helped me and my son ( 4y) once we actually got behind the front desk were AMAZING. He’s a toddler so you can imagine how hyper he was with the moving and following instructions. But both people who assisted him were patience and very kind to him. Once I was seen the same treatment was extended. The front office seemed to be a little bit unorganized. The day prior my insurance called WITH ME ON THE LINE and provided all the information that they requested, I heard the whole conversation. However when we arrived they didn’t have anything on file in regards to the insurance , that they just received less than 24 hours ago. But even with that said , while the front office wasn’t the BEST experience the overall service was fantastic.

I have been going here since they first opened (since it was super close to my house in Torrance). I have moved to Orange County and I still come over here every 6 months for my appointment since the staff and dentist are all easy to to work with and they have all my records already. The cleaning technician always asks if there are any spots that are more sensitive and to let them know about the pain (I have sensitive gums). They are super gentle and make going to the dentist a LOT more pleasant. It is definitely a great place to get your teeth checked out and cleaned.

This was my first visit. The staff here, beginning with the receptionist as you are transitioned to every stop you have to make when getting a check up, are very polite and attentive. DDS. Abraham is by far the best Dentist that has EVER treated my teeth in my adult life. So happy I found them.

Very bad experience to visit this office the front desk ladies are so bad and not so friendly and very rude. There is no customer service attitude. Request for x-ray, the person said give 5 mins, will send it. But, never receive the email. After two days, I called them, the lady said I need to go there to sign the release form, why they did not say when the time I request. Then she said it will be process it on Friday which take about a week. Also, when they give out treatment plan cost there do not provide dental service code number. Do not know why? Doctor and the doctor assistant are great very nice; unfortunately the front office people can cost lose business and customers. Look at the review on Yelp is not very nice. Hope they head office should do something about it.

I was seen today by Doctor Abraham and Dentist Assistance Miguel . My experience was GREAT from start to finish! The receptionist was super friendly and even went above and beyond to call my insurance to switch to their dentist. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed today by Doctor Abraham. I was super scared but he was SUPER FUNNY AND SUPER FRIENDLY. He’s great at making you feel comfortable and just making you feel at home. He also talked me through the entire procedure. He was SUPER GREAT at calming down my nerves. The best dentist office that I’ve ever been to HANDS DOWN ! And I will keep going to this dentist and I’ll recommend this place to everyone !

This has been my local dental spot for a long time. Today, my experience was really different than its ever been. The middle aged blonde lady that was singing me in was very short and rude mannered with me. She was asking me to sign in to take my temperature and didn’t once greet or look at me in the face to acknowledge me.. I understand that it is extra stressful especially with covid happening and the precautions we need to take.. however at the end of the day we are all humans going through the same thing and you are providing a service. With saying this, the lady was wearing her mask incorrectly below her nose. This is something that should be discussed since she is greeting Everyone coming into the office. It really throws off all the positive things I have experienced there with everyone else.

Dr. Abraham is the best dentist ever had in my entire life. He is very professional good at what he does one of the best. This place deserves ZERO stars. It was my first visit to get a check up and cleaning. I completed the new patient forms online to expedite the process but still waited 30 mins to get called in. The xrays when fairly quick but then I was called in to a room to get everything else done without anticipating it I waited more than an hour in the room to get my teeth checked on. Ridiculous if I didn’t inform the front desk of me waiting for over an hour they would of never sent someone to clean my teeth. He did it in 15 min so just for that I waited in total 3 freaking hours. It was almost lunch time and I kept hearing staff saying hurry up let’s go in the background and left me there without caring that I was waiting there. That is terrible customer service and will be looking for another dentist office. “I didn’t know lunch breaks were for 2 hours in California.” If I was you look for a different place were they care just a little bit for your care because they care ZERO percent for you at this place.

Everyone was friendly! Like most people, I don’t like going to the dentist very much but check in was smooth, the x day technician was nice and walked me through what she was doing, and the doctors/dentist were awesome. I received a full break down of what I needed done both urgent and non urgent, was given a price for the services with break downs and explanations. Even the deep clean wasn’t bad! I have to go back in two weeks and I can say that I don’t mind it now. Would recommend!

My daughter ended up in the hospital and having emergency surgery to stop the bleeding because the oral surgeon they contract with rushed through her wisdom teeth extraction. He tore her bottom tooth out after nearly trying to start on the top with zero anesthetic because they hadn’t done paperwork right. She is still traumatized because there was so much blood that suction had to be used in the ER while they tried to stop the bleeding for hours. What was supposed to be a simple procedure became a literal nightmare. The dentist is dismissive and the paperwork was never processed correctly. I still was receiving calls that our insurance was approved on her other teeth even after I told them never to contact us again. They did not care about my daughters welfare whatsoever.

We came in this morning at 7am to bring our child in for a procedure. My child had to come in fasting. Dr Becker came in at 740am. We asked to have just the back molars to be worked on since we’re not allowed to be in with our 3 year old when procedure was to get done. Dr Becker came in to the room mad and demanding why we were not going to do all the procedure in one. I told her my child is already stressed out and crying because we weren’t going to be with him. She dismissed me and told my boyfriend that we should take him somewhere else where they can put him to sleep, my boyfriend told her that wouldn’t be a good thing and Dr Becker said it would be a good thing. This is where we stood up and walk out. For a dentist who works with children she shows no feelings. She didn’t acknowledge my child. It all seem she just wanted to get her money worth.

I had a traumatizing experience by the way the office staff and Dr. Mina handled my visit. When I told Dr. Mina about my experiences at my visit, he told me that it made him feel "uncomfortable" because I was telling him that "I was experiencing something traumatic" at his office. he completely dismissed me and shockingly turned into an emotionally abusive person, determined to write me off, as I shared my experience vulnerably. The staff is incompetent and the office overbooks people. I had been going there for years before my traumatizing visit and every time i have waited anywhere from 3-6 hours for just a cleaning. worst of all Dr. Mina hides under a superficial smile, so sure, if you're willing to wait for hours and be treated impersonally, he may seem "polite." But actually if you try to talk to him at all, with any kind of genuine concern, he is manipulative, mean spirited, completely apathetic to actual patient experiences and completely unprofessional. Every patient needing dental care and are in a position of trusting their care providers deserves better than this office and Mina Abraham. You deserve better. And so did I.

So far so good! The ONLY reason not a 5 star is the cost is expensive for things that insurance does not cover and they have no alternative payment plans to assist with that! However, with that said...it was not a long wait to be seen, kind and friendly staff, just had consultation but seem to be very thorough as well as having the latest equipment which I appreciated. To patients: Please Verify estimate by asking for doctor’s notes I asked for a copy of the doctor’s notes (one page copy) and they were unwilling to provide a copy until finally they were cornered and they wanted $25 for a copy of a piece of paper. Please be careful to review their estimates because they won’t give the Doctor’s notes to verify the doctor’s recommendation. All they care is about making money.

Do not go here if you are getting wisdom teeth removed. They are horribly unprofessional and don’t ask if you’re comfortable. I constantly overheard employees which are DOCTORS complain about how unorganized the facility was and how much they despised working there. I was honestly scared to even be sitting in that chair having them operate on me. Not only were they unprofessional but they were so rude and brutal when taking out my teeth I’ve never seen anything like it. The doctor I got was a young African American male who seemed in a rush to get out of there making me feel unsafe. It made me think he was going to mess up and do everything in a sloppy manner, which he did.

I'm 7 and a half months pregnant, and needed to have an extraction. Well I went in today, the staff are super friendly and professional! I was scehduled for my appointment at 7am and i left by 7:45am.... The oral surgeon came in and gave me local anesthesia, left for like 10 minutes (if that) came back and explained to me i would feel pressure as they took out my tooth. Now i barely felt anything and it was done so fast that when they said "thats it your done" I had to ask them for reassurance "im done?" Because i just couldn't believe how fast it was done with no pain and just a little bit of pressure! I will never go to another dentists office! Im now a Westcoast Dental Patient 4 LIFE!!! Thank you guys sooooo much!!! They are highly recommended

I wish I could give 0 stars. I called because I had a dental emergency. My tooth was broken an I was in pain. I was told that the oral surgeon only comes in once a month so they could see me in two weeks. I asked what I should do about the pain now. They said they do not have any openings. I asked if they could send me to another office, she said no I was only approved for this office. Then she processed to lecture me because I canceled an appointment 2 months ago. Told me they can’t help me and I should go to the emergency room. I will never go to this office again. They are very unprofessional.I found another dentist who helped me the same day.

I'm usually a very patient person..but I felt like I needed to write this review to warn anybody who was thinking about getting treatment here. I came in for my appointment at 10AM They made me wait for about 2 hours before telling me that I would have to either reschedule for another time or wait and extra 30min -1 hour. I waited for 1 more hour (3 HOURS TOTAL). I couldn't take it anymore so I asked the front desk for an update and was told that everyone was on break for lunch. I couldn't believe it. If that day was filled with patients, then don't book me for that day. They didn't respect my time/honor their commitment to my appointment. I will not be coming here again. P.S. The refund process was a nightmare. If you do get into a similar situation like me, MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how well organized and capable this neighborhood dentistry turned out to be. I have recently relocated to Torrance, CA and explained about my former treatments with previous dentists both in CA and out of state. They lost no time in taking the latest X-rays. Dental Apprentice Hubert Perez was very patient with the X-Ray process and the deep cleaning process. Chief Dentist, Dr. Mina Abraham was very gentle, caring and understanding. He studied my X-Rays dispassionately and alerted me to the pros and cons of delaying my treatment and recommended the best possible alternatives for my treatment knowing my financial situation. I appreciated his honesty, humor and candor. All in all excellent customer care, business ethics and service.

Dr. Abraham is a fantastic dentist. If there were six stars, I would rate him at that. Notwithstanding the beginning issues of care, however. I'm just not a pro-antibiotic guy, I'm not even a pro-fluoride guy (do the research) but Dr. Abraham really cares about people. If you ever need quality dental care for yourself or your family, I highly recommend Dr. Abraham and his friendly staff to guide you into a healthy solution.

A HORRIBLE experience / Una experiencia TERRIBLE. Mean dental assistant, my two year old and I were waiting in waiting room for 45 min and then we wait in the dentist chair for another 45 min for nothing. they told me to don't feed him in case any treatment were needed and he was super hungry and tired of waiting to be check. We left without the dental cleaning and the doctor or asistence didn't even notice.

We are sincerely sorry that we failed to deliver an exceptional experience. We are very surprised and at the same time sincerely sorry that any staff member that you dealt with was rude. Had an appointment today, arrived 15 min early and witnessed a very unprofessional argument between the staff, all staff members involved were at fault since it happened at the reception desk and all patients could hear it. Decided to leave instead of having to witness more drama. It is not pleasant nor does it inspire trust coming from a dentist clinic to see staff members against eachother. Very unprofessional staff.

EACH TIME WE HAVE GONE TO HER APPOINTMENTS THERE IS A LONG WAIT OR I WOULD GET A CALL AND THEY WOULD CANCEL MY DAUGHTER APPOINTMENT DUE TO “AN EMERGENCY" AND RESCHEDULE IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED 1 TOO MANY TIMES TO US. LIKE I MENTIONED EARLIER I AM A VERY UNDERSTANDING PERSON AND I HAVE A LOT OF PATIENTS. THIS PAST VISIT THAT WE HAD OR WE SHOULD HAVE HAD HAS DRAWN THE LAST STRAW FOR ME. I ARRIVED 15 MINUTES EARLY TO MY DAUGHTER DENTIST APPOINTMENT AND 15 MINUTES PASSED HER APPOINTMENT AND ABOUT 5 CUSTOMERS LATER WHO HAD HAPPENED TO ARRIVE IN THE OFFICE AFTER I DID. I WENT TO THE COUNTER AND ASKED WHAT WAS HAPPENING BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER HAD AN APPOINTMENT AT 3 PM ONE OF THE RECEPTIONIST / INSURANCE PERSON SAID SHE WILL SEE WHAT IS GOING ON THEN CAME BACK AND SAID THAT "IT'S ONLY 15 MINUTES PASS HER APPOINTMENT TIME AND THERE IS NO REASON WHY I NEED TO BE UPSET YET, THE ROOM FOR MY DAUGHTER’S APPOINTMENT ISN'T READY YET AND IT DEPENDENTS ON WHEN THE DENTIST WILL FINISH WITH HIS OTHER CLIENT." I ASKED " WHAT IS THE POINT OF SETTING UP THE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU GUYS WON'T BE READY AND THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE THAT WALK-IN AFTER ME WAS ATTENDED FIRST, PLUS YESTERDAY I RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT THAT WAS SET FOR 4 PM, I CALLED BACK AFTER LOOKING AT MY DAUGHTERS APPOINTMENT CARD THINKING I THOUGHT I SET THE APPOINTMENT EARLIER WHICH I DID IT WAS SET FOR 3 PM. I WENT BACK TO THE COUNTER AND TOLD ANOTHER RECEPTIONIST I WILL NEED TO SET ANOTHER A POINT, NO ONE HAS EVEN CALLED ME TO THE COUNTER TO EVEN SIGN ANY FORMS EITHER “THIS IS RIDICULOUS” AND IN THE MEANT TIME I AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER DENTIST OFFICE. I HAVE BEEN TO PLENTY OF DENTIST OFFICES AND NEVER RECEIVED SUCH BAD SERVICE. THE RECEPTIONIST SAID SHE UNDERSTOOD AND SCHEDULED ANOTHER APPOINTMENT, AS I WALKED OUT FRUSTRATE AND UPSET BECAUSE I FELT THAT THIS DENTIST OFFICE HAS OFFERED HORRIBLE SERVICE, CANCELLED ON ME MANY TIMES, AND HAS POOR TIME MANAGEMENT. I DEFINITELY DON’T RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST OFFICE, THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO MANAGE THEIR CLIENTS AND PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE. Horrible experience. The place was physically dirty, didn't even call my wife until more than an hour after her appointment time, then told her they couldn't do the emergency work she was there for until after performing an x-ray, which took another hour, then when she finally saw the dentist he said he didn't have time to do the work at that point and that they didn't actually need the x-rays to do that kind of work. During the middle of all this, the dentist left my wife saying "I'm going to go check if we can get you in for a deep cleaning right now, I'll be right back" - and then he disappeared, which we later saw was so that he could treat another patient. They also tried to upsell her on a series of ridiculous treatments that were not covered by our insurance. In the end, my wife left without the emergency treatment she needed and had made an appointment for, without any cleaning done... but hey, she got x-rays she didn't need, so we'll probably get billed for that.

Not happy with this dental office. ..Will have to call insurance to change this place... -I am myself a business owner and have a licence from a LA health department. And what I know and what I ve seen is that this place is violating simple health procedures. (Dirty restroom, they also talked about running out of the sterilizing solution while i was in a waiting room. The rooms could be reorganized into an easy walk around rooms with some spaces for purses and stuff. Had to keep my bag on my lap whole time during procedure,lots of un-needed storage boxes around and impossible to move around the machines) -Also the pricing is waaaay too high, since I came with insurance. - I paid before getting the procedure and its fine i guess......but the receipt of ripped from a half A4 format paper... -Took a while...Came in at 2 and left at 4:15...Wanted just a cleaning... -Dr was nice -Staff were nice -Procedure was too WET -And overall I dont think what I got was a GOOD cleaning. Still feel like its not clean or anything..... -When I was leaving already finally, the lady receptionist or whoever made an appointment talked over and over about making a future appointment that i said I don't need. -Glad I canceled my daughters appointment. P.S.We went with my almost 3 years old daughter first time at the Childrens Dental place without insurance ,paid 50 and got all the xrays, clean environment, amazing staff and whole thing was so worth it for a kid! Movies, toys etc! IF YOU ARE COMING FOR A KIDS CHECK UP or anything, BEWARE the place ISNT KID FRIENDLY. Just an ordinary dental office..... -I hoped this place was cheaper then its alright to come, or cleaner if you want patients paying these crazy money! FYI: every good dental place has toothbrushes and toothpastes available for you to come and brush your teeth prior to an appointment or take home..... (they cost SUPER CHEAP.... 50cents max per patient (not even every single one will use it) but its super cheap) ...

This place is ridiculous! I have two toddlers and the insurance sent us to this facility. I had to make two separate appointments for my boys because they couldn't fit them in together or back to back. Some how this place has needed to reschedule all our appointments not only one but three times! Every and I mean EVERY time my kids have had an appointment these people have rescheduled. I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow even after I changed facilities through the insurance and they called THIS MORNING to reschedule YET AGAIN. Surprising? I think not. Good think I change companies 3 months ago! These people are so unorganized on top of unprofessional. On one of the confirmation calls the receptionist tried confirmed an appointment completely different then what I had originally scheduled. Then 2 hours after confirming they call and reschedule because the dentist wanted to go on VACATION? Are you F'en kidding? WORST dental office I have EVER been to! Unprofessional and unorganized. Not to mention the staff is rude when you call out their F ups! One of the times I finally made it in for a dental procedure on my three year old, the dentist refused to do a treatment on him because of my son's congestion. I wasn't upset because they refused to treat my son while sick, I was livid because they could have saved me a wasted work day and trip to the dentist with asking a simple question during the confirmation call! The dentist tried to push off responsibility by telling me I'm the parent and I should be able to know what treatments my son can and can't receive while sick? Are you kidding me? I'm not a dentist I don't know what conditions are necessary for a successful procedure. I really don't know how this place has managed to get any 5 star ratings. They managed to fail time and time again on EVERY interaction I had with them!

I went to see Dr. Mina Abraham as a new patient. This was by far the worst experience with a dentist I've ever had. I had the first appointment of the day and was scheduled for a new patient/tooth cleaning. The entire appointment took 2 and a half hours. When I met Dr. Abraham, he said all of the right things, but had a terrible attitude. He seemed to be in a rush, which makes sense given he was somehow so far behind schedule already early in the morning.. I told him some of my history involving gum recession; he recommended three different treatments all at the same time-- a periodontist consult, an orthodontist consult, a night guard-- all of which were "conveniently" located within his clinic. Rather than trialing the treatments one at a time, he recommended them all. I'm 30 years old and have regularly seen a dentist. I've literally never had an recommendation to see an orthodontist... At some point he said to me, "You don't like dentists, do you?" I found the question rude and annoying. He also told me multiple times throughout the visit that I was "welcome to get a second-opinion." I found his offer to do such was a response to feeling challenged about his approach of recommending so many treatments during my first visit with him. His billing specialist came to see me to talk about the appointment and what I would be charged. She mentioned it would cost X amount to get my cavity filled. I was surprised because Dr. Abraham had not mentioned a cavity. He had recommended getting a filling replaced. When I asked him about it later, he brushed it off by saying, "Billing semantics.." His dental hygienist offered me goggles during the cleaning, warning me that it would get pretty wet. As such was cleaning my teeth, she literally had water running out of my mouth down the sides of my face onto my hair and in my nose. I literally had to stop her to ask her to reposition the suction. When I was visibly upset, she tried to defend herself by saying, "I warned you that it would get wet." She also at some point, used the ultrasonic cleaning tool on my tongue. It felt like such amateur hour. Worst experience I've ever had with a dentist and will most certainly not be coming back.

I'm very disappointed with the service my kids and I have received at this facility. I came in about a year ago with severe gum pain. The doctor recommended a $2000 treatment along with a payment plan attachment. It was like I was purchasing a car or something. I went to a different dentist that didn't accept my dental insurance at that time and got the problem taken care of for $300. When my kids were visiting this facility the wait was at least an hour every time WITH an appointment. Finally, my son's school needed a dental form filled out I dropped it off at the office and was told it would be ready for pickup by the end of the day. It wasnt. I called the following day and it still wasn't ready. I was told the dentist was very busy and they couldn't give me a pick up date. It has been a month and I still haven't received anything. When I called them about it, they claimed they called and left a message. I cancelled all future appointments and will not be bringing my kids to this facility anymore. Horrible service.

My experience from the office to finally seeing the Doctor was great!! The office has a delightful staff, all very kind but efficient! Abraham was very thorough to explaining what I needed done & sure enough took care of it there & then. I have to admit, I was frightened to have the procedure but Doctor Abraham assured me I wouldn't feel a thing & the pain I was having previous to, was MORE than the actual procedure. I didn't feel a thing & that had me at bliss! Look forward to my next appointments. I would recommend my family & friends! The service they provided to me was excellent!

I'm very happy with my visit here. It's been 3 years since my last checkup and I'm glad I came to this dentist. The whole staff was very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable during my check up. I came in to fix a broken tooth and although I have pretty good insurance they bill was still pretty high. I'm 23 with a little bit of savings and couldn't find myself cashing out so much. So my dentist helped me save a few bucks to help me afford my treatment and I was shocked. Feeling so greatful to have people like that help out when I really need it. I recommend coming here if you're looking for a promising dentist to take care of you. Thank you guys so much!!

I have a panic disorder. Dr. Abraham and the periodontist, Dr. Verdi are both very soothing AND efficient. The support staff is nice and efficient. Prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is sometimes I have to wait as long as an hour, but it's worth it to me. I would definitely recommend it.

My experience was not so nice. I came in with pain and had to keep coming back for the same pain. Got persuaded in a 3500 dental bill for a bridge. I am having more pain in the same area and feel lost because I am afraid to go back to West Coast Dental and afraid that another dentist will not want to correct other dentist's problem. The staff is nice and professional but personally feel that I have not been care for appropriately and stuck with a 3500 bill and mouth still hurting. In addition, my son still have pain from the fillings that were completed there. How can I get some of my money back. I feel jipped and lost.....

I do not want to disparage the dentist , Dr. Abraham, who based on the recent reviews is good or the dental assistant , Fernando, who I liked, but based on the older reviews that are further down when you scroll, the office doesn't seem to have changed from the way that they operated years ago which is they are more interested in money than what's best for the patient. Chains more so than private dental practices are very "pushy" in upselling, and chains run by Cohen-Sedgh, Soleyman which includes Dental Associates of Torrance are notoriously so. When I went there, a few years ago, I was on a discounted (not insurance) dental plan called Smile Saver. Fortunately that plan had a price list of procedures and when I needed a crown, they did not want to give it to me at the discounted price saying it would be "cosmetic" and gave me a large filling instead, when the tooth finally cracked, they STILL said it was "cosmetic" and the crown not necessary and I would have to pay the NON discounted rate, so I made a fuss and contacted the discount plan. The "manager" would come in and say I needed a list of procedures (I never asked to see the Xrays so if you come here despite some of the negative reviews, do ask to see them and have them show what is wrong if they say you need procedures) and since I was eligible for Care Credit, talked me into the "advantage" of paying for many procedures way before they were done, since the higher the amount you owe on Care Credit, the longer the payment period, and the longer the payment period, the lower the monthly payment (I wasn't thinking that maybe I didn't need all the procedures and just save money not doing them, period!) The bad thing about this, is when I did NOT get some procedures done, the manager said I did, and I had to hassle with her about it (fortunately it didn't turn into a months long procedure) which some reviewers had complained about. The more recent reviews have praised the Dr. Abraham, so maybe the office is different from years ago, not being overbooked with long waits but since he's just the dentist that's employed there and not the owner of the corp, he can't change their policies and they may still be pushing unnecessary expensive procedures not paid by insurance (so I won't fault him for doing that, it may be something forced on him). Don't want to put competent people out of a job, so if you like the dental staff, don't experience a long wait and are smart enough to check out that you need a procedure that they advise you to have, than go there, just "emptor caveat."

Not recommendable, they try to rip you off by putting you in a loan before they clean your teeth...I was there for three hours just x-rays. When i didn't commit to there plan the billing employee just took off the bib and let you go.

Do not recommend. This is the second time I have gone to this office and wasted my time. I was supposed to get my wisdom tooth pulled but wasn’t able to do. Something a quick peak at an X-ray would have shown and now I go in for a cleaning and waited over and hour before I just decided to walk out. I work in the dental industry as well and know how an office is supposed to be run and it’s clear they have no idea. It’s obvious they do not value their patients or their time.
