My children and I have been coming here since this office opened and at the beginning the staff were so friendly. I absolutely adore Dr kaukar she is so attentive and thorough, she is the reason why we have stayed. Unfortunately, the customer service has gone down so much. The receptionist in the front and when you call are very rude and unpleasant. Gaby at the front proceeded to argue with me about something that wasent relevant to what I was asking. I then asked to speak to a manager just to be told that the manager was busy and would give me a call back. I have yet to hear from any management. The service here has gone down tremendously. If I could give this place zero stars I would not because of the Doctors but due to the unprofessional and rude staff members in the front.

I recently visited West Coast Dental in Rancho Cucamonga, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. From the moment I walked in, it seemed like everyone at the front desk and throughout the office was in a bad mood. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, and I honestly felt uncomfortable. The only highlight of my visit was my dentist. She was incredibly nice, professional, and informative during my consultation. She explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of my experience. During the consultation, I was recommended a night guard and gingivitis treatment, which totaled over $1500. I had to politely decline because I simply couldn’t afford it. Afterward, I had my teeth cleaned, but the cleaning itself was rushed and disappointing. The hygienist spent maybe 15 minutes on the entire cleaning, rinsed my mouth, scraped just my bottom two teeth, and polished them quickly. It didn’t feel thorough or professional at all. I couldn’t help but feel like I was being taken advantage of because I have Medi-Cal. It’s frustrating to feel like my care is subpar because of the type of insurance I have. To make matters worse, Medi-Cal dental only covers one teeth cleaning every 12 months, so now I have to wait another year to get my teeth properly cleaned. While my dentist was great, the rest of the experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this office to others. UPDATE 4/21/25, the customer service line given never reached back out to me and I have to wait a year for my next cleaning. I found a place local to Rancho Cucamonga that offers OUTSTANDING service and I would highly recommend Prime Smile Dental off Baseline and Victoria Park. I already got four of my friends to join as well and the dentist there is very considerate and professional.

Booked through Zocdoc for 12:30 and got a call the night before telling me that my appointment was at 12 not 12:30. They didn’t ask me if I could change just told me that was the time and I needed to show up at 12. When they started looking at my teeth they went “wow no fillings!” And I had to correct them with the amount I have. Which feels weird because shouldn’t they have looked at the X-rays they took???? They didn’t end up cleaning my teeth at all just water picking and polishing. They didn’t even floss them. Paid $200 for a non-cleaning

Wait time was a bit long but I expected that at a state funded facility the doctors office is the someway having a job and your own insurance has huge benefits that I took for granted until I lost everything and had to sign up but has been another eye opening experience it’s sad to see the state of the world like this I applaud humanity for setting up a way for people who can’t take care of themselves but I also feel that education is so important we need to show people the benefits of working and taking care of yourself and not rely on government but I applaud the men and women that choose to work at places like this I’m sure there case load is staggering so I thank you for your support in my time of hardship Thank you on a positive the doctor was extremely good at his job my injection was pain free my cleaning was fast and my temp crown was made with great speed even while talking randomly with the DA he did everything very fast and was understanding of my extreme discomfort I get anxiety attacks but I felt very good at this place will definitely go back to fix my mouth

This was the worst dental cleaning I’ve ever had. They tried to upsell me on a deep cleaning and a crown, but I didn’t think it was necessary. I only came in for a regular cleaning, which I do every six months. Once they realized I wasn’t going to spend extra money, they rushed through the cleaning in less than five minutes—it was so careless that my own toothbrush does a better job. I won’t be coming back here for a cleaning, and even if I ever need a deep cleaning, I definitely wouldn’t get it done here. Completely unprofessional.

What a horrible place to go to service wise . I had an appointment this morning at 10:00 AM I waited until 10:30 and asked the front desk representative what’s the issue she said will be with you shortly. Then an elderly woman came up and told the representative I want to cancel my appointment I been here since 9 AM this morning. She was told that they only have one doctor showed up this morning. I was kind of surprised why these people that where setting there where not told about this issue . The waiting room was packed . So I told her pls cancel my appointment. She replied you didn’t have to scream at me . Of course I didn’t scream at her I just explained to her that these people were there waiting should be informed of your situation!! These things happen but she insisted that I shouldn’t scream at her . I really feel this Dental Care really needs some shaping up . You can easily notice the obvious nonchalant treatment And the fact is they just simply don’t care. I personally will never go back there again. I’ve had several issues with this place And management never tried to correct it before so I’ve had enough.

The worst management at a healthcare facility. The office staff is disorganized, rude, and incompetent. They will cancel your appointment and reschedule you, only to call again the next day and force you to reschedule again. Once you go in, you'll have to wait an hour minimum to be seen and anther hours setting inside if ask any question someone else will jump and answer very rude and unprofessionally. One of the employees that I was not talking to her she spoke to me in a rude and abrupt tone regarding my mother’s treatment. The dentist was incredibly nice, professional, and informative during my consultation. He explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease.

Nobody go here!! The staff is chill but they rip you off here. I got my root canal here and it needed to be repaired after a couple years and want to charge me 900 dollars to be fixed. It’s not my fault they did a lousy job in the first place and I shouldn’t have to pay almost a grand for their mistake. Anyways y’all should save money and go someplace else.

So... I am 33 years old and still have a lifelong fear of the dentist. I had a tramatic experience when I was around 7 and ever since, it's been my #1 fear to do to the dentist. I finally went yesterday to WCD (after about 10years of avoiding) for pain I have had for a while now. When I tell you that the amount of panic I had from leaving my house to get to the office and actually past the x-rays and into my seat, was top notch panic... I must say, even though I was going through it mentally, the lady that took my x-rays, was the absolute sweetest soul. I kind of explained to her I was terrified, and maybe it was also seen on my face or something but she completely understood and was so kind, so helpful and communication was top tier. She gave me a sense of calmness and reassurance I needed to keep going and I'm safe. I got to the chair where I met the Dr. I did end up having to get a few fillings so that instantly made my anxiety skyrocket but he also was so so kind and communicated so well with me through the steps he was going to do. I was fighting my inner self so hard to keep calm and breathe. The second the needle to numb the area entered my mouth was when I hit the top of my anxiety, I felt like I was going to blackout. I never said anything but my mind was racing, but both the Dr and assistant continued to help me through it with their calming presence and gentle touch. The needle hit the gums and I was expecting to feel pain from that point on, but no! Just the tiny pinch and that was it. I was able to breathe a little more realizing that it's not the same place I went to all those years ago, and this will not be same experience I will have had. I couldn't believe it. I was able to sit through him working on me with absolutely no pain. Both continued to check on my and how I was doing. At this point I was just shocked that everything was all ok. I was expecting it to take a long time but Dr was so fast! I don't even think it was more that 25min? I was floored. I couldn't believe it was all over! I wanted to hug them both so bad but I didn't ? They don't realize that they were the 1st experience back at the dentist and I now have that I believe broke a ton of anxiety I have had all these years and how much gratitude I have for them. I am forever grateful for them. This is big for me. I do have to go back in 2 weeks to get a crown and I know that I'll probably have some anxiety leading up to it since I have had it for so long but I feel for the 1st time in my life, that I will have more confidence going to the appointment and the anxiety levels won't be as bad. This is a huge accomplishment for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH WCD !!! I highly, highly recommend WCD. I won't be going anywhere else!!

The worst Orthodontist sales person I have ever encountered. The lady who Is in change of the contract has no customer service skills. She treated us like she was giving us things for free, it was her way or the highway , she actually denied service after the meeting she said if we didn’t decide to get the service right there and then we wouldn’t be able to get the treatment. Train this lady to help out not kick people out of the office. Lack of professional and customer service skills which I believe for this job should be a must.

DON’T trust this place!!! I went here when my insurance changed so I wasn’t able to go to my normal family dentist. I decided to go here but I quickly realized it was a scam. There was patient and nurse arguing in here. The blood pressure machine took forever. But was the real kicked the doctor lied….said I had a ton of cavity’s, needed multiple root canals! I left in disbelief and when I went to my normal dentist when my insurance went back to normal he was like nope your teeth are perfect condition!!!

First off, insurance approval took an extra month and half because the office forgot to put in the request. I went in for my wisdom removal. On the day of, they blindsided me with a procedure not covered by my insurance, and Dr. Joseph was in a rush because he had a seminar later. Thinking it was better safe than sorry, I went ahead. It was $1800 for what in retrospect seems to not be common practice at all for the issues they told me, which were that my roots were very long, posing a risk for oroantral communication in the top molars and exposed nerves in the lower ones. They also said that it's because my age is a limiting factor in bone regrowth, except I'm only 24. I'd love to think the doctor knows best, but I was so blindsided that I didn't really get to ask any questions, so it felt like a cash grab. Also, nobody told me ahead of time that I could use general anaesthetic, which the nurse was very shocked about. They get three stars because the nurses were nice and Dr. Joseph was very much on top of adding pain meds and changing pharmacies after I realised my regular had closed early, so he clearly does care for his patients; just not as much when he's got a seminar to get to.

If there was an option for negative 5, that would be the rate for their service! The most terrible experience my mom ever experienced. The staff was friendly. However, the actual service provided was horrible! My mom was going in for a regular teeth cleaning. After the initial x-ray was done, the dentist offered various treatment plans including deep cleaning. After my mom declined the deep cleaning service, she was led back to the room. They just roughly brushed off the surface of her teeth without going through any regular teeth cleaning procedures such as cleaning each individual tooth, polishing and having the doctor do a final check. We were there for an hour and a half, and actually teeth cleaning was only 5 minutes. My mom speaks very little English. I wonder if that is the reason they think they could just fool her like this?! How they treated my mom was unprofessional and utterly disrespectful, especially given the fact that my mom is going through a difficult time after a loss of a family member. This added another layer of stress to her. It breaks my heart to see my mom going through this unnecessary unpleasant experience that could have be done so differently. I do not recommend this place!

Terrible experience, three years ago they made me a crown which now hurts and I feel like it's falling apart! And they don't want to give me a guarantee for the work, they want to do another crown on me and charge me $1,200 again. Also last year I went for a cleaning and they caused a lymph node infection that I had to have surgery on my throat to have it removed! In general very bad service and work!!!!

Customer service here is non existent. Kasandra doesn't know how to deal with clients. Due to other policies within our insurance she wants to question us like we make the rules. She then wants to waste time and have us make multiple calls and long hold times for a referral for children then are unable to see! If this is how the front office treats you I can only imagine the back.

At my first appointment they didn't inform me that my appt was cancelled because they didn't have an insurance card on file. At the second appointment which was primarily scheduled for general check up and cleaning, they took my X-rays and made me wait for an hour an 15 minutes. No updates were provided, when I complained, they sent somebody who briefly reviews my X rays and asks for re-do of X rays. So I wasted my time driving there for two appointments, waited for almost 70 minutes, was asked to expose myself to radiation to not even get a decent consultation for something simple like a cleanup. Please train your staff before exposing them to unnecessary radiation. I walked out and I am not recommending this place to anyone. They want to get X rays for anything and everything to extract as insurance money. Customer service at this location is terrible. I later called the office manager and was put on hold.

The first time I came here was when my daughter had a major tooth ache. When I called, they took my information and allow me to came that same day. They took care of the tooth ache and now my whole family will be coming here. The Dr. is super friendly and gentle. Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful. You don't get this type of friendly faces anywhere else. We now found a good office with a good Dr. and great staff.

The worst management I have ever encountered at a healthcare facility. The office staff is disorganized, rude, and incompetent. They will cancel your appointment and reschedule you, only to call again the next day and force you to reschedule again. Once you go in, you'll have to wait an hour minimum to be seen. They call my phone randomly and hang up after a second. Every single visit, I have been billed incorrectly and in the most egregious case, billed twice as much because of an imaginary deductible. If you decide to come here, make sure you know your insurance plan down to the last detail because the staff WILL make up imaginary charges. And they made me get a procedure which ended up not being covered by insurance which I didn't need. Then they will tell you that you have to speak to a manager and make you wait forever, and refuse to file proper claims with your insurance. Never going back here, and additionally, I'm filing a complaint with the Dental Board.

Changed my appointment time twice on me already. After telling me when I called to make the appt and confirmed with them twice the time in the phone , and they call to confirm 3 days before actual appt & yup you guessed it a different time that what they told me. Has happened 3 time already. Get someone who knows how to write appts in a book schedule. Then they act like I’m crazy because I tell them that isn’t the time you told me. Will be finding a new dentist.

Why I fired West Coast Dental Rancho Cucamonga - this has been a 4 year decision. 4 years ago during COVID - they would not guarantee that staff would wear masks and gloves. I cancelled my appointment. One year later I make appt. Arrive 15 minutes early - seen 1hour late. No apology and they insisted that I needed a “deep cleaning”. Come back 15 minutes before my appt, taken to a chair, sit for 1 hour then only 1/2 mouth done and asked to come back. I make the appt then ghost office for two years. Present time, make appt for x/rays and cleaning. Come 30 minutes early. Only one person ahead of me on sign/in sheet, also 2pm appt. Thought it was odd that 4 parties were seated in lobby. 2pm comes, three parties called in, I am not one of them. 2:20pm and the name of someone else that came in after me is called. I go to the front desk. I say after looking at the sheet “why was someone with a 2:30 appt called back and I had a 2pm appt? Answer? They had an appointment for a procedure! 2:45 my name is called. Going back I tell the tech “No x-rays just a cleaning today. They tell me I will have to wait some more. I tell them they are fired!

My first experience here was a nightmare and I had to return the following week, but I gave them another shot. They are beyond ridiculous, and a waste of time, literally!!!!! I had my 6 month appointment set, which they reminded me of. I confirmed. They had all my insurance information. My insurance covers x rays only once a year, but cleaning twice a year. So when she started the X-rays I let her know my insurance does not cover it twice a year. She checked and came back, and confirmed what I told her, but said they would do it as a courtesy. They then wanted to take me back to the waiting room to wait for pictures to be taken before I could get my cleaning. I opted out of the pictures, but went back and waited for my cleaning. I was then asked if I wanted to reschedule my exam. What????? I wasn't even there for anything more than a cleaning. MY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER THE XRAYS AND EXAM TWICE A YEAR. Anyways, they then told me I couldn't get my teeth cleaned either. Why was I even there????????? This place is a joke!

Save your time!! They have you waiting 4-5 hours. And they still don't do a good job.... I would suggest looking for local small dental businesses!!! They do better than here!!! Came at 11am and had me out by 4pm with appointment! Ridiculous!

Kind of not happy with them I go in for tooth pain one of the young male doctor takes a look at my tooth he says I need a root canal he says it can be saved and writes me a referral and puts me on medication the medication wore off I go in again due to the pain, he takes a look and says I need a root canal and prescribed me with medication, the medication was not helping I go in two days later my fav doc she tells me that it has to be pulled and she prescribed me with stronger medication which I’m still suffering now I have to wait and suffer I’m sick and tired of being put on medication an in pain

Racism and discrimination. Don’t come if you are Asian. Long wait time, bad attitude, poor service, don’t waste your time. It appears that my Asian background may have played a role in how I was treated. Based on one of the assistant said they never have any complain about the wait time. So my husband and I were the only ones complain the wait time which raises concerns about whether we were intentionally placed at the back of the queue due to our ethnicity? Not even one time we wait less than 1 hour for the past three years. After checking in and undergoing an X-ray, I had to wait for about 30 minutes before the doctor KaKar arrived. When she did, she hurriedly examined my teeth for just 1 minute and then left abruptly. And I had another 30-minute wait for my teeth cleaning. Dr. Kakar spent only 2-3 minutes removing tartar and plaque. The procedure felt me rushed and painful, as if she was solely focused on completing it as fast as possible, with no consideration for patient’s feeling. When I raised questions about the rapid pace, Dr. Kakar’s attitude was indifferent and terrible, and she left without addressing my concerns. I expressed my complaints with two assistants, but neither of them offered an apology or showed any respect. All they did was to pass the buck. It was only when I inquired if this could be due to racism that the second assistant immediately ask the doctor’s return to finish the cleaning. Still the same, no apology. I have been with this dental for nearly three years, today’s experience made me finally decided to switch to other dentist.

This place is the worst, terrible service. I went twice for two dental cleanings for my minor daughters and wasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. People arrived, left, and they never attended to me. Today the same thing happened. The secretary is inept, she never gave me my information, they never called me, and I wasted another hour.

Tried calling them on a sat morning at 8AM the receptionist put me on hold for 7 mins just to make me go away. Then when she finally picked up the phone, I asked if they could help with fixing my temporary crown that had fallen out, they turned me away and said no just because I hadn’t ordered the crown with them.

My insurance company had issues with my benefits but the office (along with my insurance rep) resolved the issue and I was able to be seen. If I had to cancel or reschedule I may not have gone. Great customer service.

Dont ever come here!!!! Save your time and money. This was my experience after being under their care for a year. 1.) They always overbook and you have to wait sometimes an hour to get care. 2.) The dentist and other dental staff were nice but the dentist was so rushed having so many patients to deal with. You dont have a lot of time with her. They must be working her hard. 3.) I also got my retainers done here for $3800 but my retainers were lost in transit multiple times. I was stuck with gross old retainers at one point. But my teeth is straighter and they gave me 3 extra retainers for when the old ones break. The dentist did a good job. Its not perfectly straight anymore because my teeth moves but Im ok with it right now. 4.) One of the receptionists here is not nice. She gave me an attitude on the phone for having terminated insurance right before an appointment. I told the person I booked with previously that my insurance changed but they didn't follow up until last minute. 5.) Worst offense of it all. This is what made me leave. I got a root canal from them less than a year ago and they didnt make a proper crown for it. Check photo below. I went to another dentist and got an xray and found out that I have a hole in my crown that can be prone to cavity. I have to pay $700+ to get this replaced at the other dentist with a PPO insurance. I paid almost $2000 for a root canal and this crown. This place wouldnt help get it replaced. I just have to take the loss. There's better dentistries there, and now I know the service I received was subpar compared to other ones im going to now.

Well first of all I received a call to schedule an appointment for my son. He shows up to his scheduled appointment and after an hour of just sitting waiting they apologize because they made a mistake he didn’t actually need to be seen and it was just a waste of his time, my son missed class to be there. This office needs to get it together this is not the first time, I’ve actually been scheduled on days the office is actually closed, not cool. This office and the staff need to be more considerate of our time.

I moved an hour away, but chose to stay with this location because I’ve always had a great experience with the female dentist (I believe Kavar?) that never took more than 30-45 minutes total. Today, I woke up early to drive the long commute for my 9am routine checkup. After waiting 30min, I ask why it’s taking a while and the front desk lady said they are short staffed. I’m already flustered because I didn’t get called back until 45min from my original appointment time. I had other appts after this one but spaced out 2hrs to have amble time for my next appt. The male dentist doesn’t see me until 10:15am and states that someone will come do my cleaning. I keep checking my clock to plan out when I need to leave. It wasn’t until 10:30am that I got up from my seat to leave, when the front desk lady stopped me and said the male dentist was coming back. If I didn’t get up was he ever going to come back? Would I have waited another 30min? And the cleaning barely took 10min for him to do! I didn’t leave until 10:45am so the amount of waiting for such a short service was unacceptable. If I was going to be seen at 10am, I would’ve scheduled my appt for that time, not 9am.

Went in for my 6 mo checkup. Called me for X-rays no longer than 5minutes after I got there. After X-rays, was taken to exam room Dr Kakar checked me out and was very friendly. I then had a cleaning/polishing and went home. Made another 6months appointment. All in all I was there about 1 hour and was very pleased and happy with my visit. Highly recommend this office for all your dental needs.

You can improve by being more considerate of people’s time. We waited almost 3hrs and we had to walk away. I can understand being short staffed, but you can also be more considerate and reschedule people or let them know the wait can be that long, instead of just saying 30 more minutes and almost 3 hours pass by. Worst experience I’ve ever had.. be prepared to wait at least an hour after your appt in their waiting room. Be prepared to pay out of your pocket even when they say it’s covered by your insurance. No customer service, non existent. If you have a problem and they say they’ll call you back, expect no call back. Save yourself time and energy and money!

I waited 3 Hours before I was seen. After I was in the Dentist Chair then they Re-checked my insurance. The assistant had to go out of the room Three times to get Surgical Instruments because the Oral Surgeon did not have them.. There was No sink to spit into. No water or sinks of any kind in the rooms. They did not give me any Aftercare Instructions. I ask for pain pills they gave me Motrin it did not help me at all. My new Denture were not right so they had to send them out again to be Re-made i was expecting to wear my new Dentures home. Other Patients left after 2 or 3 hour wait. If you have a lot of free time to dined waiting to not get anything done then this place is for you. My experience at this west coast dental location has been disappointing to say the least. From the front office receptionist team to the care team they run on their own time and do not really care about their patients. My first visit on a Saturday there was horrible from the start the receptionist had an attitude and her communication was horrible. By the time I was brought to the back they simply did my X-rays and the dentist Dr. karkhan did an initial review and told me the work that needed to be done. Unfortunately they overbook themselves so much that they weren’t even able to complete the treatment during that visit so they had me schedule a follow up visit. This is a big waste of time. They stated the main reason for bit being able to compete the treatment was due to their being a large volume of other parents that needed care, I guess my needs did not matter. I’m my follow up appointment I arrived early and they were able to get me in quickly which was nice. However the care that was initially spoken about during my previous visit was forgotten about and I had to remind the care team about what I needed. Clearly some type of miscommunication from the front office team to the care team. After that the hygienist was on time and very professional and did a great job on the cleaning. The next procedure I needed was to be done by the dentist Dr. karkhan, initially everything was going well, they numbed my and she stated that she would be back in 5 mins, I wait about 45 mins nowhere near the quoted time, on top of that I could hear her speaking on the phone and doing other things meanwhile I am still waiting. After all is said and done the assistant cokes in apologies for the tardiness and tells me to wait another 2 mins. By the time Dr. karkhan arrived she was now in a hurry and speed through my procedure, which as a patient I believe this is unacceptable, first off please meet the expectations you set, is you say you will be there in 5 min please do so if not please communicate more effectively, I would not have had any problem waiting 45mins if that was the quoted time. Another thing please take your time when handling a procedure for a patient, it is not my fault that you are in a hurry. During my procedure I guess the numbing started wearing off and I started feeling a bit of pain. My tooth that had procedure done is currently very sensitive to cold things where before even coming to this location I had very little pain and only went with the procedure as it was recommended. Overall there is a major lack of professionalism with this West Coast Dental location. I will be going to the previous location I visited before even though it’s an hour drive for me. If you’re looking for a dentist, steer clear of this location, avoid the receptionist team and avoid Dr. Karkhan as she does not care for her patients time or well being, she’ll rush through a procedure and leave you in more pain then you did before.

The front desk staff was friendly upon check-in. The orthodontist rushed through both of my children's exams and did not take x-rays or explain why he recommended the treatment that he did. My children's exams took less than 5 minutes. He spent more time telling my daughter how cute he thought she is. Creepy! The woman that discussed the charges said the promo for 99 down and 99 a month is not something they honor and it's a corporate promo. They had a poster in the window also promoting it! Treatment for my children differed by 6 months yet the cost of treatment was the same. That is odd to me. I felt like we were just a number and the attitude I received from the lady after I told her I don't want to finance only pay cash was very off-putting. I'll be getting my children's braces elsewhere.

Failed to notify me of the Dentist being off today. Offered another provider who could only perform a general check up. I wasn't there for a check up. Billing issues left and right. Out of pocket costs could have been covered by Health Insurance but clerk just refused to hear otherwise because, "we don't bill health insurance because we just don't." I am never coming back to this horribly run facility.

Was called to come in early once came in early and still waited until after my appointment to be seen wasting my time making me rush out the house drop off my kids and still be seen later is very unfair. Then I come in today and get told in the office that my appointment has been canceled and I need to reschedule for another day when I got the day off from work to be able to make it to my appointment that I have been waiting on for 6 weeks. I believe in common courtesy and giving me a call would have gone a long way.

Not the first or second or third that I’ve had an experience with how they mess up patients schedules… as if we have to work around their schedule to fit their own needs. Like for example I waited more than 2 hrs in the waiting room and waited one hour in the room, until they come and ask me to come back because the guy needs to take his lunch. So if I could come back later or even sat morning. They don’t put patient care first. Like I said it’s not the first time they’ve done this to me but I also hear that from other patients. I don’t recommend this place. They have a traveler ortho and it’s only there a few days every month. I’ve given this place the benefit of the doubt a lot of times. Still can’t get it organized. I have to miss work every time.

A 2.5hr session for a cleaning is unacceptable. My husband went in for a cleaning at 4pm, was in the dental chair and wasnt seen until 540pm to get a cleaning by the dentist. The dentist took until 650pm to clean and advise. Thats almost 3 hrs to be seen for a cleaning that only takes 20-30 min. My husband has patience whereas I would have reacheduled after a 45min wait. Do better West Coast. This will be our last visit.

My advice is get there at least 30 minutes early and be prepared to wait a couple of hours to get seen. The care you get makes up for it. The dentist actually listened and took the time to explain to me her reasons for treatment decisions while also taking into account what I wanted and meeting me in the middle. And she genuinely seems to care about her patients. I love the staff front and back office. One thing I think they don't get enough credit for is how great they are at returning phone calls and reaching out regularly to make sure you get the best treatment. The effort made to return phone calls and resolve insurance issues and just their communication in general really stands out to me. They make everything so easy for me and are the main reason I'm finally getting badly needed work done.

I came today to get 3 wisdom teeth taken out. So far it has been a great experience! I had went to a different dentist to get the first wisdom tooth taken out but the procedure was so painful and long that I was worried it would be the same or worse to get the other 3 taken out. At West Coast Dental they were so quick (15-20 minutes in total to remove all 3) and the surgeon numbed the area so well that it has not caused any pain whatsoever and it has already been an hour. I am grateful for the oral surgeon that worked on me today, she knows her stuff and did a great job! I would recommend relaxing and breathing through the nose as much as you can because the pressure can create a sensation of choking. I came out with my lips a bit cut up which is expected because the same thing happened at the other dentist when I got my othet wisdom tooth out. But no pain whatsoever this time. I just followed the instructions the dentist gave and rubbed Vaseline on my lips. I would definitely recommend this place for procedures like wisdom tooth extractions.

I LOVE the dentist and Orthodontist but the office staff is very rude here. And also unorganized. I was called and told that I can change my September 7th appointment to August 25th or 31st (I chose the 25th). I was called around the 23rd and told that I can’t do the 25th but I can do the 31st. I was then called a few days later (2 days before my appointment) and told that I can’t do the 31st. I then asked to be switched back to the 7th and they only had one time slot available that was later than I schedule my appointments and told that if I can’t take that one then I’ll have to go on the 28th. I also called 3 or 4 different times asking for information on pricing on cleanings and was told they can’t give me that information then finally said the manager/coordinator can but she’s busy. Took my number down and never called me back. I finally went in and was given pricing then asked for my dental plan to not be auto renewed and the manager told me it doesn’t renew and today I got an email saying it was set to auto renew!!!! So I called the office and stated that I was misinformed and she said “oh no this is set to auto renew.” The manager is definitely the rudest of the bunch! Def going to see about changing offices this one is a mess.

First visit: Had a 4pm appointment for a cleaning here as a new patient. Arrived early at 3:55pm. Waited in the lobby. Got called back for x-rays ONE HOUR and 21 MINUTES LATER! X-rays and vitals took over 10 minutes. Then sat in a chair waiting for the dentist for another 15 minutes plus. Dentist arrived. Told me I need a root canal and to come back another day for that—AND for my cleaning! Left very frustrated—without a smile, that’s for sure. Second attempted visit: Had a 1:00 PM annual check up appointment. Arrived 7 minutes early. Asked how long the wait is. "Shouldn't be long; they're back from lunch" was the response I received. THIRTY-FIVE minutes later, was called back for x-rays. Then waited for the dentist, who, I was told would be "right in." Then waited for a person to tell me what my cavity was going to cost to fill. Was told I have one cavity that they can fill for $90+ which "may" become a root canal they can do for $740+ (yes, more than seven-hundred forty dollars!). These estimates are WITH my Delta Dental insurance! Then waited for the hygienist to clean my teeth, who I was told, once again, would be "right in." By now, it's 2:30 PM, which is when I told West Coast Dental of Rancho Cucamonga that I needed to leave. Hygienist started cleaning at 2:40 PM. I was out the door by 3:00 PM. Spent over two hours at this office. If you want to waste time, and be told everything will just be a "few minutes," come here. Please either pad your estimates, or tell patients the truth as to how long something will take. Dare I make a third visit?

This is probably the worst dentist to exist. I had the worst experience with my kids here. We waited over a hour for a cleaning and was finally taken back just to have to wait on the parts for the cleaning to be cleaned so another hour and half wait. Then we had to come back for the pediatric specialist. This lady was the absolute definition of horrible!! I wouldn’t ever let her come near my kids to do anything ever again. She was very unprofessional and really didn’t seem to want to work and said my daughter needed was more work. I recently went to another dentist and had a wonderful experience there and I am going to have to pay out of pocket to get my daughters teeth cleaned bc they didn’t even to it right. Plus the work the dentist was saying was not even correct or right. She wanted to put a filling on a cap that is missing a piece!!! Not just replace it!! This place I will never go back to!!

Overall, I am pleased with this office. I do recommend Dr Kakar because she in very knowledgeable, and does a provide excellent dental services. However, the hygienist should clean more between teeth where there are permanent retainers, and/or under bridges. Also, in all of my past experiences at dental offices, I have been provided toothpaste, toothbrush and freshener after my cleaning. This was not done.

Dentist is really good but the manager and financial coordinator are both rude. First experience is with the coordinator and 2nd one is with the manager herself when we came there last saturday. She was talking to another patient on the other side of the counter and I am standing on the other side of the counter which is far away from them I think she got annoyed that I am standing and told me with her annoyed tone that I needed to sit down like she is talking to her kid. I told her I heard her and left because I couldnt stand the way she is talking to me.

I waited over 2 1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment to even go into a room for my procedure. When I ask the receptionist why was it taking so long if I had an appointment, they said that’s how long it takes all the time and that was the way it normally is. Worst dentist office ever. All the staff showed up after the costumers. The office receptionists made us wait so they could walk across the street and go buy coffee. Everything was unorganized and unprofessional. I arrived at 7:45 for my appointment at 8 and 7 people arrived after me, all were seen before me. Then they told me that my insurance wasn’t found. Even though I had just spent an hour on the phone with them the day before making sure that wouldn’t happen. I wasn’t seen till 9:16 am and at that point, the staff was just unempathetic. Refuse to return. I will rather go try to find a different clinic than deal with the lack of professionalism

I had a dental emergency and a very important meeting that I needed to attend the following day. I was in a panic and my regular dentist would not see me that day. I called West Coast Dental and they asked me to come in right away. They were busy but still worked on my issue immediately.The staff is great and their dentist was super!! I went because I had a toothache, they gave me a partial root canal, while they got the medical approval, after 15 days it was denied due to lack of x-rays, I made another appointment for the x-rays, and after 15 days they call me I was approved for the root canal, and when I got to the appointment the lady front desk told me that how I want to pay the $1,000.00 from the crown, I told her that was just the root canal, and she told me that they couldn't do it if I don't pay the crown , I explained to her that they never told me about the crown, and she said oh I'm sorry but without crown the doctor can't do root canal, so how am I want to pay the $1,000.00. If I have medical It's because I can't afford insurance and obviously I don't have $1'000.00 in my pocket.

Please, please do not go to this location. My brother (who has a mental disability) went to this location which was part of his insurance network and was given a breakdown of how much the insurance will cover. However, on the day of his procedure, the dentist that performed the work was not covered on his plan. Now there are 7, yes 7 dentist in that dental office that are covered by his insurance but the day of his procedure they decided to use a dentist that was not covered by his insurance. By the way the surgery was not an emergency and if informed my brother could have waited until a dentist in his network was available. My brother was never informed of this change until he got a bill through the mail and we called to inquire. We have called several times to get this resolved and nothing. They just say that they spoke to the manager and that she had offered us a discount, first of we have never spoke to her regarding any discount, we were just informed when contacting customer service, and secondly they don't call my brother directly to speak to him. Please do not let them scam you like this.

Your office staff is awful got there 15 minutes before my appointment and had to initial some paperwork cause of COVID used a pen noticed there was no more hand sanitizer ask the girl for some she said she would get more instead she went to Starbucks to get her breakfast,then I was told something was wrong with my crown so I needed to wait for the DR cause apparently she’s on vacation then apparently I had some teeth that needed filling so they asked if I wanted to wait and do all the work when my crown is put in, I said no do it now I’m already here.the Manager came in and said that will be $85 dollars how do you want to pay?last time I was there I put it on my Care Credit and thought everything was put together apparently Not and she made me feel so dumb saying she explained everything last time but let me tell you when it comes to money I’m on that,and she didn’t then I had to add that to my care credit cause I was not prepared for the extra charge.I also asked the Manager that I had a $100 dollar gift card that you office sent me if I could use it towards all my work she said no cause I didn’t have it with me believe me if I knew I was going to get charged more money I would of brought it with me I offered to go get it she said no we need payment now very UNPROFESSIONAL

While the general dentistry staff and dentist are courteous and provide timely appointments, the orthodontist and his staff are only available on an extremely limited basis. This makes it difficult to fix any issues or get regular appointments. Unfortunately, once you’ve entered into a contract with them, you’ll have to just wait around for weeks with broken brackets. Think twice about signing up for braces with them.

I had picked this facility on DAY Creek Blvd and Baseline in July 20 2021 in Rancho very satisfied .my HMO covered the Xrays and cleaning .I had to pay for dental cavity that wasn't covered . Today I had a old gold covered crown that was giving pain they freely took X rays of it and since it was a root canal already just need to have it redone eventually when my new PPO Policy starts up in Jan 1 2022 I wasn't charged at all for today's inspection.

My rating of 3 stars is based off of two visits. My first visit warranted 1 star and my second visit warrants 5 stars. I had an appointment for cleaning and arrived on time. I was in there for an hour and a half without having my teeth cleaned so I I ended up walking out and told them we will need to reschedule. No one should have to wait that long for their services. My appointment was rescheduled and this time I was taken right in. I told the dentist how unhappy I was about the last appointment. The dentist apologized and said that they would make it right. And they did. I'm going to write off my first visit as an anomaly as I have been going there for almost two years and this has never happened before. And hopefully it won't happen again.

Do not go here. I literally sat on speakerphone with my insurance and they explained how to put my procedure through correctly to be covered in full. After I got off the phone they said, "No were not doing that, it will still be over $300 out of pocket. I was shocked at the lack of care for customers. Carla Zimora is the office manager and she should really consider training employees to have empathy and better customer service.

Dr Linn was fast and professional easiest procedure I have ever had at dentist. If there was one thing I did not like it was the fact that I was rushed out with no alternative for pain or conversation regarding treatment other than a request for OTC drugs from CVS a sheet of paper and gauze. Mind you their lobby was full so they were VERY busy. They have top of the line equipment and a kind professional staff. If your thinking about this place I highly recommend them. If I could give them one suggestion little more after care makes people feel comfortable, comforted and cared for.

The office manager was rude and unprofessional. I waited an hour and a half before seeing the doctor and I had a schedule appointment. When the appointment was scheduled no one instructed me on what to bring or what I needed for the visit and the office manager told me in a very rude way. I would never go back to this place again or recommend it only because of the customer service and the wait time.

Very bad experience with West Coast Dental, from Rancho Cucamonga, Ca., in the department of financial orthodontics, it is like a street market, I was attended by Ana who did not want to give me her last name, she after giving different prices was held in I told her to write it to me in the budget and she said no, that the offer is only for today, that she is the only one who can make discounts that if I decide another day another person will attend me and he will not do anything to me discount. I tried to call Marcela who is the manager but she never answered me. do not go to that place, the customer service is very bad.

Dr. Kakar is wonderful. However, every time I have gone there or taken my kids (which is a total of five visits) there has always been an hour wait before you can be seen. This week I took my daughter for a check and cleaning and we left after 2 1/2 hours. Great place if you don't mind waiting.

*Updated- they ended up scheduling my daughter for her procedure and they charged my insurance for services they did not even do! I still had to pay for the copay even though they were overpaid. The surgeon who actually did the procedure was not the one that gave the consultation and did not want to proceed unless she had a a CT. He ended up doing the procedure because I told him I was not going to take her after all the running around they were making me do. The whole office is a staffing nightmare and whoever is in charge of that location should really reconsider re-staffing the whole place with better running capabilities. NEVER going back! Very poor scheduling! Came early to our 3pm appointment to be left waiting over 2hrs to even be seen for the consultation. Staff gets offensive and rude when we ask how much time was needed. If I could give negative stars I would.

The experience was okay, I had a emergency tooth pain and it had to get taken out.. I assume.. there wasn't any other options for me. I have Medi- cal and people tend to treat you less than of you have it. So I got my tooth pulled and it came out fairly fast.. but after it was pulled, I felt like I was rushed out so fast. Also I was not given ANY pain medicine or antibiotics..I had to ask for antibiotics bc I have an infection.. but NO pain medicine so I'm here days later in pain.. other than that it was an ok experience..

I took my daughter in for a check up and ortho, they told me she qualified for braces and they would send the molds to dentical (medical) they said it usually takes 2 months to recive the approval or denial. I've called the office 4 times for an update and they tell me the same thing (let me check on this and I'll have someone give you a call back) not one calm have I received back from the dentis office, I call dentical and they told me they don't even have a prior authorization send to them not even the imprints. I call the office to let them know and I get the same response from them (let me look into it and I'll have someone give you a call back) I'm still waiting for the office to get back to me. Disappointed.

Front staff is ALWAYS RUDE. Never want to honor the 15min grace period ever, even if you get there before it’s done. They try and reschedule right away, you basically have to fight to get seen here smh. Even after the front desk girl says that she “wrote a note on the chart” b.s....They also turn and start talking about you as soon as you’re out the door. Medical staff is ehh, orthodontic dr is great, DA not so much. Literally if I didn’t have to get my treatment here I wouldn’t , l already tried to call and ask if I can get it elsewhere. They said I couldn’t I had to continue here or start over. Every time I come here I feel unwelcome and an uninviting feeling.

If I could give them no stars, I would. They just lost 3 customers due to their poor customer service. I had 2 appointments at 1pm and 1 at 2pm. I was late due to my 1pm due to traffic that I have NO CONTROL of. I understand they have policy’s they have to follow, and they weren’t able to take me, but the fact that they were RUDE about it, was a no no for me. Especially because we were FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS! The receptionist was rude and so was the other girl there. I wish I would’ve gotten their names. When we told them we weren’t coming back, they were totally okay with it and didn’t care. They just shrugged their shoulders and said whatever. I hope their boss reads this. This just happened today. People, avoid the headache and find another dentist. There’s plenty of good dentist out there!

Nice location! I had a shaky first encounter with the front office. I had a bad tooth ache and needed assistance ASAP, apparently there was a provider issue that could not be confirmed. All they offered me was an X-ray and exam. Since that wouldn’t help my pain. I left. I got my hands on some Ibuprofen and called to make another appointment. That went much better. They apologized for the situation and so did I. Now I am still concerned about affordability and all the recommendations made in addition to the primary focus, a cavity! But, overall they’re ok.

The service is great here but the only downside is that they are ALWAYS overbooked. There has not been one time that I don’t wait over 40 minutes to be seen! They need to either hire more staff or schedule more accurately because I should not be waiting this long every time.

When ever I come here even with an appointment I've had to wait well over an hour to just get looked at. Its super slow and the lady at the front who does the billing gets super defensive when I told her I have little children in virtual schooling and if I can reschedule. She just gets in aggressive mode making me feel bad. This is not s good place for busy individuals especially during covid because scheduling just is awful. Also I have a new born in the intensive care and I need ri go see him so I explained that I need to be seen a little faster and I will gladly come at another time. No one seemed to care, only made me feel like I was an inconvenience m sorry waiting for over an hour to not even get stated is not something I want to do right now.

I just wanted a simple cleaning, then I was told that I needed laser treatment, & a “deep clean”. And that I would be out of pocket for over $450. Needless to say they prey on getting you to do more. When I told them I just wanted a simple clean. I got the “oh well we can’t do that because we told you, you needed a deep clean”. Just be careful with stuff like this. Extremely upsetting & sad to see the bad tactics that they practice.

I was in a lot of pain and needed my wisdom teeth removed, during COVID! My dentist stopped answering the phone, voicemail is full and there is no one at his office so even going in person was pointless. I ended up getting an infection and I was helped here immediately and am so grateful. Great service, very kind and they work quickly. They are also accommodating for people with limitations such as mine. RA has affected my jaw and from taking x-rays to everything else, they were very thoughtful and considerate of my needs, the amount of pain I was in and all of my limitations.

The dentist was very nice as well as the dental assistants. However, the wait times are horrendous! I had an appointment at 3pm. It's now 5:11 pm and the only thing completed are x-rays. I was told someone would be in to discuss pricing. 45 minutes later she walked in and gave me an overall rate for everything versus breaking down cost for each individual thing I would need done on my teeth. I was told for my root canal I would need to be referred somewhere else. I told her to complete what I could get done today. When the dental assistant came in she had no clue that I wanted my cavity filled. The woman who came in to give pricing was not thorough. She seems to just slide by. Very unorganized office. No sense of time and patient awareness. My time is just as valuable as the dentist. If you are taking my thousands of dollars, you should make time a priority. No one has to stay with you. There are other dentist available who value and respect their patients time and money.

I just went in for an exam and routine cleaning. Waited more than 30 min. Past my appointment time before I was seen. Xray tech. was quite good. Dentist did quick evaluation of my xrays said no cavities and great overall condition. However, instead of doing the cleaning, they brought in the sales/billing guy who discussed over $5300 worth of optional cosmetic procedures. When I told him I'd think it over, they said they'd run out of time and I'd have to make another appointment to return the following week for the cleaning! Really? Sales before service? Wonder how they'd feel if they brought their cars to the dealership for an oil change appointment, then never got it done because the salesman spent until closing time trying to sell them a new car? That would be the last place I'd ever buy a car.

I rushed in to west coast dental because I was in so much pain, I have a lot of anxiety with going to the dentist but the doctor was so sweet and helped calm my nerves, they worked with my schedule and helped get me out of the office as quickly as possible so I could pick up my kids from school, the front office is so amazing that when I went in for an adjustment they told me I needed some other stuff taken care of for my root canal but I had my 3 year old with me they didn’t even batt an eye they pulled up a chair for him gave him balloons and all the snacks he could consume, and when he got antsy and asked all kinds of questions the doctors and techs played along. I recommend west coast to anyone searching for a dentist.

My husband and I had a cleaning appointment today scheduled for 3& 3:30. Weren’t called in until 4 & 30. Had an X-ray then waited until I got a nurse attention at 5! Just sitting waiting in the room. Told her I was leaving and also my husband. That was way to long to sit and wait for my teeth cleaning. With no one coming to tell me what and why it was talking so long to see me and my husband...The receptionist said she would make another appointment just for teeth cleaning??? That is what I thought I was going to have. I hope this won’t happen again!!

They were very nice, but I could not get anything treated due to them not contacting my insurance company today. I was not even able to get a teeth cleaning. This dentist made me feel so much better than my old dentist. Will never go back to her. This dentist was very informative, and cares about the patient. Would come back here again.

I take my oldest here for braces and have been very happy with the orthodontist and his staff. I have also taken my 8 year old and they were very sweet with him and he felt very comfortable. I have had work done here myself as well and have been very happy with the dentist and her assistants. The staff is professional and courteous. I love that they take my insurance and send text reminders for upcoming appointments. The facility is very clean and things are very organized. For the most part, they get us in and out with minimal waiting. I'm so happy that we have found somewhere that can treat the entire family in one place and would definately recommend them to others.

I was happy to discover that West Coast Dental opened a brand new office in Rancho Cucamonga since I previously used West Coast's Los Angeles office. The facilities are first rate and modern. All of their equipment is up to date. All of their staff are patient, congenial and friendly. Their hours make it possible for most anyone to get appointments that work well with busy life schedules. This staff is not "pushy," by that I mean there isn't a hard sell to sell a laundry load of procedures. I have Dr. Kakar. She is amazing! She's very professional and takes time to explain each process and treatment that is being used. She has a very gentle touch and kind sense of humor. This is a very compassionate and understanding dentist.

I find your shakedown of the elderly a real shame. My father came in for a re-line and you told him that he would have to buy new dentures from you guys because you don's work on other dentist work. I have never in my life heard such a thing. Well then you can't refill a filling that fell out, replace a crown or bridge? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Unless your employee at the front desk didn't know what she was talking about. Shame on you and your office trying to take advantage of a elderly person.
