I can only speak on my experience, I was having a dental emergency on a Saturday and not only did they expect me as a new patient in record time they got me an appointment and truly made me feel understood and helped me with the tremendous amount of pain I was in the staff was amazing and caring, I will definitely be making this my permanent dentist.

I had been going to west coast in baldwin park staff and dental dr rude only wants your money so I tried pico rivera different atmosphere big difference very nice with emphpty always great nice especially jessica but today visit was super great started with Joseph xray,than the dr who was super nice didn't try to sell or up any services not needed, than gabby who came in to tell me what my insurance would cover and and work with me very friendly nice, and jessica again who helped with the deep cleaning explaining the procedure super friendly that young lady very knowledgeable answering all my questions with no hesitation while waiting for dr kudos to jessica than I was done and Erica helped with schedule my appointment for a follow up she was very nice friendly taking her time with me making sure my file was current so I ended up schedule appointment for my husband who never wanted to go back cause he did have a horrible experience in baldwin park west coast dental office with Brenda and dr jorge they wanted to give him dentures for 20,000 he went to another dental office on hacienda all they did was give him a partul that ended up costing $140.00 thank god because they would have pulled out all his teeth this was back in 2022 fyi always get a second opinion so now we will see how his first visit goes in pico rivera I'll keep you all posted

I use to come here for years but they just regressed over the years. It’s ridiculously insane how long the wait time is just for a regular check up, cleaning. Even when arriving early the wait time is from 3-4 hours they will have you waiting in the lobby before even getting a chair. Then when you go in you are still waiting another hour for a doctor. On top of that I felt like the doctor here was already telling me I needed work done and always wanted to put crowns on me. I went somewhere else and no crowns were needed. So that tells me enough. So unless you want to wait 3-4 plus hours of your time don’t come here. They over book people and seems like they will always tell you “sorry we’re a little behind today” but you’ll hear them tell you that all the time and they will never have a room available.

The scheduling in this office is so bad. My son went in last week and we waited 2 hours for an x-ray and he was scheduled for today at 9 am and was told not to eat anything and been waiting almost 2 hours and every time we ask for an update they say there’s one patient before him. He is a kid, how are you going to schedule a kid to go in at a certain without eating and have them wait hours. This is really bad.

Expect 3 hours of waiting time. Enough said. Find something else to do with your precious time. And I'm not even the patient. And a couple years later, nothing has changed. They take pride in wasting people's live 4-5 hours at a time. Painful.

They really expect you to wait over two hours every single time you come here. Even if its just for a cleaning. And best believe while you wait they try to sell you every item and procedure they offer. Do your research and find a private office i stead of coming to the wal mart of dental offices. At least they have face painting and animal balloons while you wait ! ?

Waiting time needs to be reduced at this location. It is ridiculous how every time my daughter has an appointment, we still have to wait 1 to 1 1/2 hours to see a hygienist. And if x-rays are needed, your visit will be extended for more than 2 hours long to then be scheduled to come back another day to receive a regular cleaning. From experience, other offices perform x-rays and teeth cleaning withing the same day and in less than an hour. Either increase staff or stop over scheduling patients.

Very bad experience, I had an appointment at 2 in the afternoon, I arrived 10 minutes early, I even filled out the online forms so that the appointment would go faster but inexplicably after having had the x-rays done they left me waiting for more than 2 hours until I got tired of wait until I get up and I left. They even asked me to wait longer. I lost almost 4 hours of work because of these stupid people who don't care about other people's time.

I had worse experience with this location, we had asked them to make both upper and lower Dentures in March 2020 and they made Dentures after 6 weeks that were not correctly made and want fit. So when we called next day they claimed we did not you that paste to secure the dentures. However when we explained that it’s too big Dentist started to adjust with grinding out the higher spots and then without cleaning she was putting it in the mouth. Finally after 45 minutes she agreed that was not going to work so they took another impression and asked us to come in 6 weeks. But then they kept canceling the appointment so I requested the refund of $3950 and after 4 years I and still getting running around and they are refusing to refund the money. Even though I told them I have moved out of California and they are giving me all kinds of excuses. So if you want to get reaped of then use them

I called this dental office because it is open on Saturdays. The appt was for my 88 year old mother who had a tooth ache. The dental office did a complete checkup, but didn't really focus on the main reason we were there, which was the tooth ache.The original cost for the dental treatment plan was over $15k, but with the discount was over $9k. The wait time was over 2 hours and we were the only patients in the waiting room. By the time the dentist came to talk to us it was 3:45 pm and the office closes at 4 pm. No treatment was performed on this day. We won't be going back.

This is by far the worst dentist I’ve ever been too. I have a list of reasons; 1. There was a lot of fooling around between the assistant, so not very professional. 2. Told me everything I needed done on my teeth and continued to work on a tooth that didn’t need immediate work like the two chipped teeth that are causing me severe pain. Now I have three teeth with holes instead of two because they also messed up my unneeded inlay twice. 3. The Dr injected the numbing needle incorrectly and now I have tingling in my bottom lip… not normal. I do not recommend going here. They took my money ($700) and only caused me more pain.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. I’m somewhat of a special patient that normally declines X-rays or specific procedures if it prevents me from pain or saves me some time if not medically necessary. The staff wasn’t rude or disrespectful, no change in service, no attitude or anything was applied to make me feel uncomfortable or unwelcomed due to my preference and I liked that a lot. Stefanny helped with my cleaning, did an excellent job assuring my comfort, and asked me keep her updated with my pain level or if I need a break, she even gave me these power rangers type of orange glasses that helped keep that bright light that’s usually blinding at a comfortable setting. Overall great experience. Appointment was at 3 pm, left at 5:57 pm which isn’t too bad considering it a busy Monday afternoon and being scheduled in for same day. The service provided was worth the wait.

Dr Khan was excellent. But the center struggled to manage appointments, had to wait for 1 hr more than booked appointment time to see the doctor, which is not acceptable.

The dentist are great. But the wait time and customer service lacks! Waited an hour to even be seen for my little one. Then another 40 mins for the dentist to come in do the exam only to wait again for one of the assistants to do the rest. I saw so many people go in and out before my little was seen.

Takes a bit to long to see the dentist. I am aware it is a saturday and it gets busy. The wait in the lobby is an hour long. Then u wait approx 35 to 40 mints to actually get service. Ive been coming here for the past 2 years and the only thing that has change is the Dentist and staff. They need to change the waiting time. It is very upsetting to have to wait almost two hours to get work done.

The front staff is kind, but limited because they ARE constantly overbooked. Expect to wait a long time for an apppintment. They lost my retainers, delaying my appointment to remove my braces for 2 month, then my following appointment they canceled it without notifying me, delaying me another 2 months. I just read a comment from someone who said they will never return to that place. It is very bad service. They made me wait so long and they didn't serve me. I told someone I was going to pay cash. They told me no, to wait for the insurance. The only kind person is the glasses person. Too bad for the others. Right now I moved my 2 children to another clinic. Please learn to treat people. Don't judge by what you see. Don't discriminate. I think that woman thought I didn't have the money to pay cash, but I will never return to that place ever again.

It was a typical dentist wait. Waiting room was full. Appointment was at 10am for my 2 kids. Left at 11:30am. One of my kids had a special cleaning done too. Positive experience.

Everytime I go I always wait about 2 hours only to get a room its usually another hour to be seen by the doctor. Today as soon as I got there I noticed the lobby was full, I asked if it will take longer than an hour or 2 to be seen I don't mind changing my appointment for another day. They assured me it will take no longer than about 30 minutes and there was only one patient ahead of me, so I waited. After 40 minutes and two patients later I asked again about the wait time. They again assured me it will be soon because again only one patient ahead of me. An hour later and four patients including a walk in are called in before me, I asked again about wait time this time they told me 3 patients ahead of me and I will be seen in about another hour. I asked multiple times about wait times and queue as to not waste my time and theirs. I didn't mind changing my appointment as I had told them as soon as I walked in. Horrible service.

STAY AWAY from this place! Very unprofessional dentist and horrible service. I went in for a routine check up and standard clean and they ended up popping off a filling. They tried to hide it and refused to take responsibility. The dentist was talking to me like I was stupid and walked away when he knew I was right. Communication between receptionist and patient should always be respectful, your staff should accommodate patient needs and concerns especially if it's an emergency due to patients Healthcare needs also if we as the patient have spoken to the physician prior visit, also your staff should not lie on stating they will reach out to Dr to get his approval to accommodate and when us the patients see the doctor we ask him if he got the message he states he was never aware of the situation that's not okay... Staff should not tell patient " that sounds like a personal problem and we can't accommodate you because your pregnant." I felt my last visit was EXTREMELY unprofessional. I had to endure extreme pain and discomfort prepping my tooth for a crown, and as the Dr. Has my mouth fully numbed, including extra anesthesia that had ran out, they also ran out of cement mid procedure. I am feeling horribly anxious to have to go back and be subjected to the same traumatic prepping again a week later.

This office runs their patients through like cattle. They are too busy rushing they don’t pay attention to what they are doing. I needed two fillings and the woman conducting the filling put the numbing medicine on the wrong side, I had to reminder her what teeth needed filling. Then she jabbed the anesthetic needle immediately in my cheek without giving the numbing a chance to work. She rushed through the drilling not being thorough if the cavity was completely drilled out then smeared the silver filling and sent me on my way all within 10 minutes. I’m still spitting out remnants of the silver filling chunks because they didn’t bother to rinse out my mouth properly. Not only a poor job but also they were rude and inconsiderate of their patient in general comfort and checking in with me. The head dentist was scolding the interns right infront of me. Never going back here again.

I’m not sure exactly why we had a check up/consultation at one location but then was redirected to a different location for treatment. Once we arrived at the next location we were told we would only have a consultation after we had already spent 2 hours at the initial location for the same thing. My child has a dental emergency that needs treatment right away but his treatment is being pushed back because the way this business is ran is not efficient enough.

Back in January I started an ortho treatment plan…with 3M Clear Aligners. Fast Forward to 4/22 - still no retainers & they’ve gotten their money for them. I have had 3 Ortho appointments since and when I went in for the 2nd - staff had to redo my impressions because lab needed more records. okay I understand, things happen & if we need more records so be it - thats the whole point of this plan. Yesterday 4/21 I received a confirmation call AND email to confirm my appointment- nobody told me on the phone that my retainers had NOT arrived. My appointment today was a mess…I arrived at 10:50 for my 11am appointment..I waited An HOUR until I finally approached the front desk to ask when I’d be getting seen, “you havent been seen yet?” I respond no i’ve been here for about an hour now and i’m still waiting. the staff talks among themselves, then to the ortho doc & finally over an hour later notify me that my trays still had not been received from the Lab so i’d have to come back in another 3 weeks when ortho doc is back in. nobody communicated to me in that entire hour to let me know i’d been sitting there waiting for nothing. I understand that things are out of our control - but it’s bad customer service when you’re A. calling to confirm appointments but not aware of what your patients needs / services are & confirming that their things have been received and B. they’re (patients) are sitting there not being acknowledged / communicated with and wasting their time & money. I’m a very patient and understanding person but I take time off of work to come to these appointments & this is the THIRD time now with something going wrong and no aligners to start my treatment, another rescheduled appointment and me having to cop an attitude with office management and asking what is taking this process so long in order to get clarity on my treatment plan. The retainers apparently have shipped but won’t be received until 5/3, doc isn’t back in until 5/13. I guess we’ll see then if I’ll finally be able to start my plan - 4 months later. Please, do better.

One of my wisdom teeth started coming out and then it got infected and half my face was swollen. I couldn't get into a dentist for a few days. I Walked in and called three different drs and couldn't get in Monday morning. Well I found West Coast Dental in Pico Rivera. They got me in fast and the Oral Surgeon was there working on his last patient but he saw me and did an emergency extraction so I didn't have to wait to get it approved by The insurance. Im so thankful I've never experienced teeth pain like this. Im doing so much better and it's only been one day! Will definitely keep coming back for all my dental needs!

Well it's the team that do extractions for which are the best as for office I was going to transfer from ela office to pico office e but I wasn't impressed with there good faith policy had a bone graph in 2019 with two extractions paid $1,000 and paid 55.00 for another extractions Nov 2021 the office mgr was telling me it would cost 450.00 I said will you take 200.00 now and the balance with in 30 days she wanted a credit card and I said you mean you won't take my trust and she said she needed a credit card so I just had tooth extracted and didn't get bone graph plus I just had x-rays in ela office e and the dentist there never mentioned that I needed a bone graph but they said he said I did which is a lie i was a little dispointed.. plus I'm still waiting for there regional mgr to call me his name is David.. so as for the office of pico ruvera u really can't rate them but second questing I'd I will transfer to them and just leave western dental depends whst I'm told from regional mgr David but ela offi e has had 3 turn overs since 2019 hired all new staff and dentist so I know I won't go back there

This has place ruined me. Last 2 years I've been dealing with a tooth infection from a filling that cracked from eating a peanut butter jelly sandwich. A year later they do a partial root canal and I just had to wait for the authorization. Authorization goes through but they give me the run around until it literally expires. The crown was already paid for too. Now no one wants to touch it because they don't know what was done! This infection has weakened my immune system so much that I can't even get a fever... I vomit almost daily in the mornings for years now. The spread has affected my ears, sinuses, heart, blood pressure, and last week it was in my kidneys which lead to an enlarged spleen. At this rate I am going to die and no one is willing to do anything unless I pay thousands of dollars which I don't have. I just want it taken care of so my daughter doesn't have to grow up without a mother like I did. The fact that it was a peanut butter jelly that cracked the filling is also suspicious. This place is money hungry so if you are low income go somewhere else before something like this happens to you. I just want to be healthy and live my life the way I should. Oh yeah and the infection is in my bone so I might lose part of my jaw too. Overall the way this office works is bs. Almost everyone is rude, they make random and unrelated appointments without your consent. DON'T COME HERE!

Rude receptionists can't explain or provide clear information. Had to ask for details on the contracts and forms signed which they had to make copies of the policies for me to take home and read AFTER all was signed and done. After the first visit, I was billed for the treatment because they submitted to the insurance a charge from a provider that was not in the network and was not who I was supposed to see. Then I was approved to get a deep cleaning treatment by the insurance and they gave me a very regular treatment that didn't take 5 min to be done. No numbness nothing deep. I was wondering if they charge the insurance for a more difficult type and just give an easy one so they get the big bucks and pocket them aside. Let me not forget that the wait is over 1 hour after the appointment time. They also want to charge me for another treatment saying that the insurance wouldn't cover without even requesting it. Needless to say that I changed provider as soon as I could. Never going back there!

This place is all about money the dentist came in she didn't even sat down to talk to me she checked my mouth standing up didn't asked me any questions n right away all she was saying she needs 3 crowns 2 implants etc etc wasnt friendly or polite when I told her I had no money due till im not working she just walked out of the room n didn't see her again I walked out very dissapointed I asked if they could do a teeth cleaning n I was told no not today i wouldn't recommend anybody there is all about the MONEY the staff is not polite either I would definitely contact my INS.

If only I could give Dr.Martínez a negative 10 that would work. I took my sons 3 weeks ago. Never in my life have I witnessed a person let alone a profesional talk to their staff and stare them down like she was ready to fight because of a small mistake.. now the way she talked to me is a disgrace to that office, she insulted me by say they need high end work that I acan’t get. They need too much work, if they can’t stay still I can’t do any work. My son said wow when he saw the dental pick an she walked out of room with out a word. She talked down on me and my sons and she was actually lucky the son I was with does not like confrontations and I respect that, other wise I would probably would of been arrested. I cried of anger and unbelief a “profesional” had an office. Now the park was not being done for free. I have double coverage. I WOULD SAY STAY CLEAR OF OFFICE- but the office staff is great they explain any questions tu have the dental assistant is fenomenal and great with question and concerns.Office manager did apologize foe the dentist behavior. I have taken my business else where.

Communicating about the wait time after checking-in is really poor. Waited in the lobby for almost 3 hours(arrived 15 mins before the appt time) just to get the xrays and needed to come back for cleaning. I have been asking them how many more minutes every after 30 mins of just sitting,...they only said, they'll check. Communication and Service for people who has appointment must be improved.

West Coast Dental surpassed my expectations! My scheduled appointment was met with a very reasonable waiting period. My exam and X-rays were completed by a very experienced technician who was also warm and kind. One individual that stood out , Francisco, provided exemplary care! He was patient and calming during my procedure as he explained his progress. My dentist showed kindness and professionalism and swiftness in correcting my dental issue. The team that checked me out in the payment process were efficient and stood my their offer in providing me a whitening home kit. Thank you ALL!!

Friendly staff members but very unorganized. Go here if you want to have your precious time wasted more than once. No, not because there's long wait times after you arrive for your appointment, although it has happened which is understandable now and then. My sister made an appointment on two separate occasions for the same teeth. Why the same teeth, you may ask? Well the first appointment dated for May 24th at 10am wasn't very successful. We head to the location and I was her designated driver, both called a day off work and she called some recovery days on top of that. I arrive at the location with her only to be told that the appointment has been cancelled 30 minutes before her appointment time (the drive is roughly 25 minutes with no traffic) both work day were left unpaid and we drove a total of 50 minutes to and back for no reason. That's fine, my sister rescheduled with the receptionist and verifies the date and time on her phone (June 14th at 9:00am) clicks save and off we go. It is now June 14th! It's time to brush your teeth extra clean this time to please the Dentist! Lol. It's a nervous day, we got her soft foods the day before and her wisdom teeth removal process is about to begin. Time of arrival is 8:50am and we see them unlocking the door and opening up. My sister walks in and there's around 6 people. Seems like a busy day! Glad we have an appointment! The person in front of her wasn't very happy though, saying something about how "Why would you call me to come today if I don't have an appointment" It's my sister's turn in line now, she goes up to the counter and she's asked if she has an appointment. Yep! 9:00am! She's told that there's no appointments available under her name and has been refused yet again! More gas money wasted and more unpaid work days that were called off (calling off that often isn't an easy task) she politely left but was extremely frustrated and more sad than anything at the fact that it happened to her again. She's not the type to complain about that so she felt like she was taken advantage of. If it's an issue with staffing or unavailability of a person, tell us that. Don't go around canceling customers appointments making them go back and forth all over the place, it's extremely unprofessional. Honesty goes a long way and today she doesn't know if she lost trust in West Coast Dental of Pico Rivera or simply two consecutive employee errors. They were nice enough to offer to reschedule for next week but no more days could be called off that close to each other and she didn't want to be let down yet again.

This is a terrible dentist, they say they have Saturday appts, they schedule you and a day before and sometimes the day of, call you to reschedule you. Reasons vary from dr had an emergency, funeral or diff dentist can see you however it’s not covered under your dental plan and you will get billed for it. They have done this over 5x to me and I’m not exaggerating. Other times you show up on time for your appt and they tell u they are short staffed and you will wait an hr before being seen. Don’t go here! Find a different dentist, I chose this one cus it’s the closest to my house but for my children’s ortho I will being going else where.

I had an appointment at 9 AM, apparently the first appointment for the day on February 23, 2021. I was the first person to sign up on the sign-up sheet. But, waited for at least 6 patients to be called into the treatment area. I waited in the reception area for about one hour. I waited another hour and 15 minutes to have x-rays, check up and cleaning. For the first person in the office, I don’t think it should take more than one hour to complete this minimal service. Very poor service. Each portion of the treatment were excellently done, But not the front office.

I don’t write bad reviews but this office definitely deserved one. You shouldn’t have to have some dental background before coming Into this office so they don’t take advantage of you, they should treat you for your needs not try to sell you things you don’t need so they make money off you. First visit, they started setting up for two procedures but after I decline a service I would pay out of pocket for they asked me to reschedule for the other procedure the insurance covered when they could have easily done it that same day. I gave the office another chance and went back for an oral surgery consultation and the procedure i had rescheduled for. When taking x rays, the assistant didn’t use the protective shield on me and she didn’t have anything to say other than “sorry”. After, Brenda Debora sat me down in a room that I later realized was dirty and found blood on the suctions. Then, office manager Yessenia Gomez didn’t apologize but rather said they could clean it and sit me back to get the procedure done. After seeing how their infection control was so bad I left. Both Brenda and Yesenia have a bad attitude and shouldn’t be in management positions. Giving two stars because the general practice doctor was gentle and informative. If you care about the cleanliness especially during a pandemic and radiation safety you should avoid this office

I absolutely loved my experience. I haven’t had great experiences at the dentist so I was nervous. I really liked how Dr. Martinez explained a few things to me, even though she didn’t spend much time with me she still answered my questions. However, I truly enjoyed my time with Gloria, the registered dental assistant. She real spent time with me to educated me, more than any other dentist has. She taught me things that I never knew before and showed me how to properly floss my teeth. You can tell she really enjoys the work that she does! Plus she did an awesome job cleaning my teeth! I would 100% recommended this location.

Good place and good practice but they waiting is horrible. They take forever to treat you. Had me waiting an hour outside when my appt was at 4pm I get called in at 4:55pm and then wait till 5:30pm while inside waiting on the chair they treat you. Only to tell me the specialist comes on specific days. Waste of time.

Stay away from this place. I had my apt at 4pm. They took my X-rays around 5pm. Around 5:25pn Yesenia Gomez tells me, all of a sudden, my insurance will not cover me at 100 percent. My copay was $60. Why did they even take XRays? How come they wasted my time. They should have told me as soon as they checked my insurance before taking Xrays. I know my insurance would pay 100 perfect. Yesenia Gomez you don’t know how to operate an office . You don’t do this to people. I wonder how many people you’ve done this to. I’ve been here before and have never paid a copay. Why did they wasted my time?

I am a new patient to this facility, the person who took my ex rays was very rough when taking the pictures, she did change after I asked if she was having a bad day and was a little more gentle . The doctor -I think her name is Dr. Martinez seemed to take it as a personal insult that I did not want to consent to paying for a root canal and crown or pull my tooth. She told me she would give me no medication ( i assume pain since I was already taking antibiotics} because I would not consent to any extensive dental work. If I had regular insurance I would not use this dental facility at all, I don't think they have good bedside manner and I don't think they truly care about their patients. I actually wanted to give 0 stars but I could not post this without giving them at least 1 star.

I did not like the service that was given to me by the Doctor. I think her name is Victoria not sure because she went in and did not say a word to me. Didn't even introduce herself, rude! Said I had cavities didn't even show me where I had them. Didn't explain anything to me, assistant came in and said she was only doing 2 fill ins and I would have to come back. Doctor came in numbed me did the fill ins then walked out with out even doing my cleaning assistant came in and said I was good to go I said but she hasn't even done my cleaning and she said oh she didn't so she walked out and told the doctor. The assistant ended up doing my cleaning.

I was told to come for an emergency appointment. I informed them I had just been out of the ER from how severe the pain was on this tooth so they were aware. I came and I checked in and was told to wait in my car and they'll call, cool. After almost 1.5 hours I decided to call just to know the wait time to which they said "oh uh, just come in now" which was strange. They got me straight back and upon taking x-rays she couldn't get the angle and I was in excruciating pain. I have a sensory processing order, which I made sure to list. For my pain I began to shake and cry and tap my hands, legs to cope with the pain. A worker passed by and loudly asked "is that a child" to which the lady with me scoffed no and laughed. Another worker informed me that I am older than her. After a grand total of 3-4 minutes of trying and me beginning to cry more they informed me they have other patients to see and I need to leave, my insurance probably wouldn't cover it anyways even though they confirmed it would cover prior to me even coming into office. I will be filing with corporate and BBB for the treatment and discrimination I received. I hope nobody ever experiences this. If you have any kind of mental health or processing disorder, run.

This was my first time at the office and the staff was so nice!! From the front desk to the X-ray tech and the hygienist. They were all amazing and answered any questions that I had. The dentist though was unfortunately not as great as them, I don’t know, maybe I caught her at a bad time but my experience wasn’t that pleasant with her. Other than that the office was great :)

Waited 2 over two hours to be seen even though I had an appointment. I made an appointment for fillings and it seemed like none of the staff knew what was going on. Dentist was was very rough and poked my lip with instructions by accidents 3 times. Extremely disorganized.

So unhappy, because I couldn't afford bridges, root canals etc Dr Karen walked out on me. Never finished telling me what was happening with my mouth. No game plan, no cleaning, no nothing. The Oral surgeon was very nice but don't plan on going back to the Pico Rivera location!!!!!!!

Terrible. Front staff is short with you. Nurse was nice but rough on the hands. The dentist, Karen Martinez, is extremely cold, short, rough with her hands and stand offish rather than making me feel at ease for a First time patient here. Would never recommend coming here if you want to treated as a cared for patient and be surrounded by understanding staff with no judgment, especially from the Dentist.

SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT COME HERE I was told I needed 4 crowns on my top front teeth. I was told Medi-cal DOES NOT cover this and I would have to pay almost 4000$ out of pocket. They ran my credit and everything!!!! Thank goodness I went for a second opinion because I was told Medi-Cal indeed does cover crowns for the front teeth. After calling the insurance to complain I was informed they never even put in an authorization for coverage for my crowns. This is something they probably get away with often! Save your money people!!

Very nice staff but super long wait time. I was asked to make a decision about my teeth and procedures based on insurance without speaking to a dentist first which I requested before I made a decision. The young ladies at the front desk and the young lady who did my xrays were very pleasant. The dentist seemed very stand offish and wasn’t the best at communicating she seemed like she was rushing they were very busy but a patient should never feel like they aren’t important or having to ask tons of questions to get answers out of you. My assessment was very quick, I got a second opinion from a trusted old dentist and they had a lot more to say when it came to my dental exam. This is my second trip to a West Coast dental office in 2 days. Yesterday I arrived for an appointment at the Gage office. I was utterly shocked when the finance coordinator advised me that based on my dental needs and insurance plan (Anthem Dental Net HMO) my co-payment would be $9,900. When I advised I could not afford this was then asked my salary and to apply for a payment plan- but this was after I explained I was unemployed due to COVID-19 and lost my premium dental benefits and dentist a few months prior. A loan is the last thing I need. I was there because a front crown was loose. I was trying to avoid the humiliation of being in public and interviewing with a missing front tooth! When I asked for an alternative was them given the option of paying $3,000 which included the removal of the front tooth- which by the way, their general dentist don’t perform extractions. The patient is referred internally to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon travels between offices and next time surgeon was due at the Gage office was on 7/17. (This most likely is done so they can bill at a higher rate). While the extraction co-pay was only $115.00. The difference was the co-pay for a new partial. West Coast dental doesn’t work - at all with your existing partial; dentist advised they on work with partials created by their lab. My private dentist had made adjustments to my partial multiple times (and the partial wasn’t made by their lab) I thought I was doing the prudent thing and asked if the oral surgeon was available at another office. The financial coordinator made a few calls and found that the oral surgeon would be in the Pico Rivera office the next day. The out of pocket expense of a new partial was doable so I booked the appointment in Pico Rivera. When I arrived I was advised my file information had not been sent over and the office puzzled why I was there. They duplicated X-rays (I advised already had panoramic x/rays done yesterday) stating Gage office never sent and common. Will this office try to bill for a set of x-rays as well or better still bill me after the insurance company sends the denial? I was escorted to a room only to leave 15 minutes later. An office coordinator advised me that they obtained the referral from Gage and it was to do extractions only. However this office stated they sometimes work with an existing partial created from an outside lab (contradictory to information received at Gage) but they could not discuss or provide any alternatives for replacement with me since the eval was done at another sister office. When I asked if the two offices could coordinate services she advised this was not possible and that they were to merely extract the teeth and discussion regarding replacing teeth was between myself and Gage. Again I sit in a chair pleading for a viable solution to not be in public with a missing front tooth, again to be told not their problem. It’s clear that in the midst of a pandemic, and civil unrest the West Coast dental offices have zero concern for the dignity of their patients. Or perhaps just their African American patients? As a black woman I strive to look my best, from hair up dress to a smile. I took the necessary measures to seek treatment before my front crown fell out completely. But it’s clear there is little help for those now on partially state funded benefits. For a dental practice to extract a tooth- a front tooth and not even provide a temporary alternative is disgraceful. In addition to poor quality of care, refusal to coordinate care their offices are in significant breach of HIPPA laws. The office coordinators screen are visible to those standing waiting to be checked out or inquiring about questions. They also conducted insurance verification stating policy numbers and patient names in the open. Again, are these lack processes due to the fact these offices cater to minorities with state funded benefits and it’s assumed our privacy isn’t valued? In the meantime I will start all over again.

I had treatment done and they told me how much my insurance would cover and how much I would have to pay. I dropped almost $900 in my own money and months later they're demanding me to pay about $500 because my insurance said I didn't need a certain procedure. It's been 9 months since my treatment and I'm still dealing with the dental office that keeps saying they're sending appeals but my insurance says otherwise. My suggestion go somewhere else

We are often told that insurance will pay a certain amount, but then the same insurance will deny payment after services have been rendered. This often leaves the patient with a large bill. I went in for an emergency and all they did was take x-rays and give a consultation on what I would need done. The end result is they told me I needed extractions and bridges. And it would cost around $12k for everything, that was with insurance. I shared this info with my mom and she thought that was outrageous, so I went to her dentist and their results were far better and saved me thousands. All Western Dental truly cares about is money and will give you results that end in you owing them thousands. I would recommend not seeing them and see if anyone you know could recommend a dentist they trust.

They don't explain what they are going to do so you can understand and they don't tell you the prices for each thing they are going to do. When get ready to leave guess what you now have a bill for 160.00 when the cleaning was just 40.dollers now your in for 160.00!!!!!!!!

This facility lacks organization. Too many patients serve in a time frame. Their either too busy or their forgetting orders as well as confusing names when there are several family members. Too many patience in the same times, requires more wait before and during treatment. Their too busy to ask what kind or a choice of treatment and orders you want. We had to return one order due to lack of choices in our orders. They also have so much orders that they forget to order or loose them. We spend coming back for future times or time during the day to get orders fixed.In addition, my sons have been called the other sibling’s name. I’ve confronted them several times about this to be careful because I don’t want them to confuse their treatments. Too much wait and too much confusion to serve patients. I am just waiting for ortho treatments to finish and I done with this facility. Besides, the facility is too small for the number of patients they serve especially during ortho days. Some ortho assistance have even been irritated and bossy when you go in due to lack of space.

What a scam...I’ve been to the sister office in east la and transferred to the Pico Rivera office because it was closer to work. First off, do not come on Monday’s because you will wait. Thanks to the staff who informed me, I now know that the orthodontists offer services on Monday and that can cause a setback. I forgot the name of the dentist who saw me but she was a Latina woman with curly hair; anyway, she was very rude to the dental assistant who was helping her and it made me feel uncomfortable. I visited the east la office in February and was told I only had one cavity that was fixed that same day. I also have teeth abrasions and the dentist from ela told me that I should not worry about it until after I got braces and did not pressure me to get a fill. This lady at Pico told me that I needed to re-fill 2 old cavities AND THE ONE I JUST HAD FILLED IN FEBRUARY because they’re “all old.” I told her that I found it amazing how in 7 months I now have 3 cavities and 9 teeth to fill...everything piling up to a grand total of over $1000 that my insurance would not cover. I explained to her that a previous dentist advised me to get braces first and then fix the abrasions because the braces would cause them to fall..she advised the opposite which only solidified my belief that they’re trying to milk as much money from u. Do your research and go elsewhere

5 stars for the dentists - esp orthosurg dentist. Very nice and friendly. Also for the dental assistant who was so nice! 0 star for the lady at the desk who gave my appointment to come back. No smiles, blank face, looks so irritated when I interrupted her from whatever she is doing to ask for an appointment to come back. She did not bother to ask my name or what procedure I’ve been through. And goes “when do you wanna come back?” In a very unfriendly way. I did not wanna come back because of her. And I went on telling her what procedure I went through and my name. This lady totally ruined my good experience in this clinic. Such a bummer.

Went in to the office with a sharp pain; I arrived at the office filled out paperwork and was taken to a room to take X-rays, transferred me to another room to wait for the dentist, and after sitting in a dentist’s chair for over 1 hour, the dentist came in and went over my options- granted my teeth are in bad shape, and the doctor made sure to let me know that, lol...after discussing how bad my teeth were, he proceeded to give me a rough estimate of the possible treatment I would need, implants and such...about $40K...lol...he then went on to the next patient. Not even recommended or prescribed any medication for the pain, just made me an appointment to see a specialist a whole week later, so what do I do with the pain meanwhile?? Also, there is no privacy at all so everyone hears your dental issues...lol...needless to say I am not going back.

Please avoid this place. They will charge you for services you never recieve and make excuses for 6 months as they promise to refund you until they finally stop responding. Straight fraud here. They use the excuse that they need to charge you for everything the dentist might possibly need to do and then put you off every time you ask where your refund is. I even got the dentist herself to admit i never receiver those services but 6 months later still no refund.

Front desk is friendly. But organization always tried to take advantage of your insurance plan. For the six month regular check up they send my son to 3 different specialist arguing they cannot do cleaning and flour until he was seen by a specialist; and the end they did nothing. On the 2nd regular check I arrived on time to my appointment (kid) and last minute the dentists decide not to see him because he was very nervios and she is not a ver patience doctor. Beside they do not let you be with the minor during the appointment. Don't loose your time they are not specialize on minors, and always are looking for extra charges. I was very wrong to give them a second chance

Went in to get a tooth pulled that was very loose.Sat and got my X-rays done after waiting45 mins to get service.Waiting another20mins on the chair for the dentist to tell me that i really needed that tooth pull and she would tell her assistant to set the tools in room to do work .She left and 15mins later a finance female came in to tell me the Dentist will not be avle to do her job cuz she is going home in a bit and to come back in 3 days.I never went back.They are the WORST!!

I went here based on a recommendation, the first few visits i had here were not so great over booking, small sitting area and the front office staff was not so friendly. On a recent visit, the office told me my dental insurance did not cover the full amount of the work that needed to be done. I was quoted $625... I agreed, the office offered me a finance option, they told me the name of the company I was going to be financed with... well I started having issues 1. The office set me up for e-bills without telling me 2. The used 2 different companies to finance my amount, which meant I had to different Bill's with out my knowledge. When I went to ask the office for help, since it was THEIR mistake.. the OFFICE MANAGER told me it wasnt there problem anymore, they got paid and I should have done more research before making a payment in full to one of the creditors!! I am now on my own trying to fix Their mistake! Horrible service!!! No customer service skills what so ever!!

I had made the choice to come here instead of my regular dentist because I know someone who goes here. My dentist retired ? I needed cleaning but also broke a tooth so I made an appointment. First time was not very pleasant it was standing room only and people outside as well, way over booked! Mind you I only got X-rays the first time and it was 2 hours! The second time I was early by 30 mins and it was 1 1/2 hours and I was still in the waiting room! I ended up leaving because I had a 4 month old at home and couldn’t wait any longer! Oh and the broken tooth is still broken, that was scheduled until April 6th! Way too long since the tooth broke March 3rd! Don’t want my business then I will go someplace else I’m sure someone will take my money!!

I came in with sinus problems causing pain in my upper front teeth and jaw to see if there could be a problem, hadn't been to the dentist in a long time and needed a cleaning anyways. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable, the dentist told me to get a new ENT, the pain/sensitivity is most likely a sinus infection. The hygienist who did my cleaning was as sweet as pie and did a terrific job! I would highly recommend this place!

My experience was great for a dentist visit. I don't feel the prices are very competitive. The personal and very professional attention I received means everything. Everyone from the receptionist who's name I didn't catch to Mary whom I believe is the office manager the X-ray technician ,Michelle the oral hygienists was very gentle and helpful with some important tips and recommendations. Overall you could find less expensive dental work but like everything "you get what you pay for " thanks for everything West Coast Dental. ?

I used to have issues with the wait time here when I would bring my kids. The wait time was ridiculous. I was told by the staff they had brought in a new pedo (a male) for the kids and everyone seems to be really fond of him, gave this office another chance and I am glad I did. The new pedo is GREAT and wait time wasn't bad. I love how inviting he is. Since our experience was so much better now, I decided to bring myself in for a checkout.

Everyone is super friendly and nice. Good service and reasonable with prices. They don't try to sell you things you don't need. However, the waiting times are brutal. Sometimes up to 1 to 1.5 hours just to be seen.

One of the most professional pleasant experience I've have ever had at any doctor's visit. From Miguel Hernandez taking my ex -rays with a great attitude to my Dr. Martinez. She is a special person who from what I can tell works with her professional techniques but add her heart into what she does. The while staff made a scary experince one of comfort.
