This is a Dentists office that they should only practice on Manequins. If you Need a Dentist really bad this is a Bad Dentists office. They quote you one price in one room then you go to the next room then the price goes up 50%. Then if you have a good argument the price goes back down. Then when it's time to do the prescribed 4 fillings they tell you the other dentist in the same office was wrong. Now you need 2 root Canals and crowns on Baby teeth. This place should have there license Pulled. Beware if you have to use this place. Good Luck you will need it

Terrible Front Desk Service – Wasted My Time! I had an appointment at this dental office today, but due to the awful service from the front desk staff, I couldn’t even see the dentist and ended up going home frustrated. A few days before my appointment, a staff member called me, but the call quality was terrible, and the call got disconnected. I waited for them to call me back, but they never did. I tried calling the office myself but couldn’t get in touch with the same person. Then, just one day before my appointment, they finally called again to confirm my visit. I said I would be there, and that was the end of the conversation. When I arrived today, the front desk was extremely unprofessional. There were four staff members at the reception, and one of them was adjusting another patient’s schedule. Another staff member offered to check me in, but the first one suddenly insisted on handling my check-in herself and made me wait. After more than 10 minutes, she finally came out from behind the desk—but instead of acknowledging me, she started flipping through TV channels with a remote for several minutes. Then, without even making eye contact, she told me I needed to reschedule. Apparently, the previous phone call was about an insurance issue, and because the call got disconnected, they claimed I had missed important information. However, they never bothered to call back or properly inform me. If they had given me that information, I wouldn’t have wasted my time coming in today. Instead of apologizing, the staff just asked me if I had called my insurance company—as if this was somehow my fault. If anyone asks about this dental office, I would strongly advise against going. The staff shifts responsibility onto patients instead of doing their job properly. Terrible experience!

I one hundred percent suggest that you go to another office this office has been scheduling and rescheduling my appointments 5 times already I have had a started root canal for three months they haven’t finished it. They don’t have any form of communication with in the office no one knows what’s going on with the patients. Many doctors leave the office I wonder why the dentist that helped me with my treatment is no longer there. They charged my insurance for the root canals without doing the work yet. The worst part if you start treatment and you are unsatisfied you can’t go anywhere else you have to go back to them to finish. They are not trustworthy at all. PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD LOOK FOR AN OTHER PLACE MORE TRUSTWORTHY!

I had a procedure done there and the dentist doing the procedure ended up cutting my lip and he had to put stitches on my lip. When he cut me he didn’t once tell me nor did he apologize about it. And then to top it off not once did they tell me i had to go back and get the stitches removed. I had to call to ask because they didn’t seem to be falling off. First they told me over the phone that they’d fall out and within 5 minutes they call me and say I actually had to go in and get them removed. I went in the following day to get them removed and when I was there their office manager at the time said I’d be getting a full refund. (It was $450) He told me to call back in a couple of days to check the status on the update. I called for three months straight and each time I’d call they say “it’s still getting processed” and they tell me the office manager would call me back and they never called me back. Such a bad experience.

Beware patient!!! Before you say yes to a procedure, you must check the price with your insurance. They overcharge us instead of billing our insurance. Another thing, they force patients to have x-ray every 6 months even if we just want to clean teeth only.

This place is a fraud. After making an appointment with a specific dentist, we were given a different dentist. Needed a bridge. Charged as much for a bridge as the implant I ended up getting elsewhere. Of the several thousand dollar fee, which they wanted up front, they said $20 was covered by insurance; however, they never got authorization. When we asked them to get authorization, they said it wasn't needed. When we said the insurance required it, they said they'd call the insurance company right away and get back to us. I took my 5 year old daughter on Tuesday with the kids specialist and her experience was AMAZING.! From the front desk to X-rays to the DR. Everyone was extremely friendly and that made my daughter feel very comfortable and excited to be there. Her procedure went very smoothly and she loved the goodie bag given to after she was all done. As a parent I was immediately greeted by front desk as soon as I walked in. Checking in was a breeze and the wait time was very good almost no wait time at all. The manager Hortencia was there to explain her procedure showing me her X-rays and where the cavity was. She was very informative and polite made my visit with my daughter great. Definitely going back and recommending everyone here! Thank you to everyone there you guys took the being scared of the dentist out of my daughter and that’s something I truly appreciate. Thank you!

My husband went to this office for cleaning and estimate of other possible services . “Deep cleaning “ as they call it took only 30 minutes . Obviously they did not do a good job . We have a good dental insurance . We later received a bill for $700+ and we have call numerous times yo find out why is thus much . So far no answer . Stay away from these scammers

Don't charge $1000 for a simple dental cleaning. I booked an appointment for a regular cleaning and I have medi-Cal which covers dental cleaning. I get on the cleaning chair and I'm told to pay a $1000 or else I can just leave. Terrible experience. Never going there again. Just don't book an appointment if you don't accept insurance!

I am a little bit confused on how this location or this company is even in business. They have the worst customer service ever. I used to go to the one in Hawthorne and the staff in the front including the office manager was horrible. I moved to Orange County and it went from back to worst. They had me waiting over “four months” to transfer my file. How hard is it to scan it over email. One day I had to tell the Mgr in the TUSTIN LOCATION that if I needed to I’ll go pick up the file at the Hawthorne location. And they finally transferred the file. Honestly if you can avoid coming here PLEASE do so. They have scheduled appointments for me then make me wait over an hour to be seen, last week they scheduled me but it was the wrong appt so after waiting for an hour and a half they told me they couldn’t see me. I try contacting their corporate office and nobody has called me back. The office staff is so rude. If you don’t like your job quit. I don’t understand how you are in the customer service/medical business and treat people like trash. Seriously, I am extremely dissatisfied with their service. This office has friendly staff with great customer service. I had questions about financing my treatment and all of my questions were clearly answered. As my treatment started there was a need to switch gears and the dentist did a great job of explaining everything to me, telling me what my options were, the risks, and treatment timelines. She got me out of the chair one time for me to make another appointment I had scheduled. She was fast and efficient. This is the first time I receive treatment without feeling pain. It had been years since I've trusted a dentist. So far, I can say I trust my new dentist!

I will say that the staff at Orange Coast Dental were professional and easy to talk to. They had to do more x-rays because more teeth broke off. I have several teeth needing extraction, fillings and root canals. I always need clearance from my primary Dr to give the ok to work on my teeth with some anesthesia. My dentist was also very thorough and I was very comfortable with the care plan. I will again give my opinion once the actual work has started. The wait wasn’t that bad only 30-an hour. My problem lies with the way they run business. I had to pay $300 out of pocket for nitros - that was extremely high for what it is. Didn’t feel anything at all completely coherent for the entire thing. Also, they said I had to get a bone graft, I had NO choice. Well, that made my procedure $1300 out of pocket WITH insurance. No choice. No options to go without. When I asked if there’s any way I can make payments (not everyone expects to pay $0 for a procedure turn around have to pay $1300, has that kinda money) they said I only had to put 30% down… so $300 for the bone graft I had no decision on plus $300 for the gas. THEN in the middle of my procedure the girl comes back and says sorry you didn’t qualify for 30% down you have to pay half now.. no explanation, nothing. so I spent $800 there, when I expected to pay $0-300. It ended up being the most painful experience at a dentist, completely awake and coherent for the entirety, and when I asked the surgeon for something better than ibuprofen she refused and said I don’t need it. Next day here I am at an urgent care asking for better meds because taking 800 mg of ibuprofen multiple times a day every day will literally cause liver damage, and isn’t helping AT ALL. Absolute worst experience. I’m just glad it’s over with, probably will never go back and try to find a dentist/office thats actually on the patients side rather than after their pockets.

Not recommend. If you have an ortho appointment, prepare yourself to wait in the lobby for at least 1.5 hour. Been taking my kids here and it’s always a long wait total of 3hrs. On top of that if you miss an appointment your looking for about 1 month reschedule. They only see patients every Thursday of the week. Lame!

This place is a joke! I made an appointment for my boyfriend to get a Root canal . This was back in March of 2021they told us we have to wait for Insurance approval. After the Insurance approval and waiting for 2 months they told us that don't have anyone to do root canals in this office.. They send us to the one in Buena Park we waited for another appointment we go to the dentist again!!! They can't do it now I have to call the Insurance order from the other place send them a fax to cancel to get a new order... I get all this stuff ready now they can't do it cause they don't have anyone to do root canals.. They send us to Los Angeles. We went there and not good at all nether.. A year later and in pain... Terrible Service and Terrible Communications within West Coast Dental and Me.... Never will recommend anyone to this place ever.. I'm calling Corporate office...

I had discomfort in my tooth and this dentist told me that I needed a crown because I had a cavity. I went to a different doctor to have a second opinion and the doctor told me nothing was wrong with me, only a small cavity and he already fix it. Stay away from this place they will only try to sell you dental crowns, even if you have the smallest cavity.

Waiting time is reasonable. Front office staff especially the male staff (forgo to ask his name) are nice and courteous. The female dental assistant (forgot her name I think Elsa) who assisted me, did the xray and teeth cleaning made my visit comfortable. The entire staff was “new and training “ red flag ? 35 mins for X-rays . A whole hour before we met the dr ! She saw him for 2 whole seconds and said he needed a specialist . He’s 12 and we were only there for a check up and cleaning because he is starting ortho ! She immediately said that he needed extractions , and fillings (maybe he did have a cavity ) but she was very pushy and made an appt for me when we didn’t even discuss times or if I wanted it!! Everyone was really unfriendly - and when I expressed how i felt the whole experience was , nothing was offered to fix it . Overall bad experience! Ps I have been in the dental field for 13 years so I know what I’m to expect and this just isn’t it !

My elderly mom had multiple teeth extracted by the oral surgeon 4 days ago and apparently she forgot to pull one of the tooth. I called the office to have my mom come in to verify the mistake. We waited over an hour before we were seen by the dentist, who took 1 minute to confirm the mistake. The office even tried to make excuses for their mixup and said that the tooth was intentionally not pulled and I was to make another appointment to bring her back. I talked to the oral surgeon after the procedure that day and she did not mention anything about not pulling out all of the teeth that were treatment planned. I’m not upset that they made a mistake, but they should own up to it. And to have my elderly mom, who can barely walk, wait over an hour for their mistake is UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE!!

The staff is friendly and courteous, but there are definitely issues. I came in for my routine cleaning. The nurse taking my X-rays was having problems because I have a low gag tolerance and there were no other staff members available to help her. After that it took 30-40 minutes for a doctor to come and see me. Including the time my cleaning was actually going on, my visit took two hours total. I understand that everyone is shortstaffed due to the pandemic, but if you don't have enough personnel to ensure patients are tended to quickly and efficiently, you need to reduce the number of appointments you take per day.

This was my first visit with this dentist and was set due to a cracking tooth. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment and had already filled out my medical questions electronically prior to my arrival. Check in to 45 minutes to process 3 people ahead of me. It took an additional hour to get me in to the back office, despite my appointment time. Once in, I was told there wasn’t enough time to see the dentist. X-rays and images were taken, including the cracked tooth, which I was told would need extraction. My exam was rescheduled. Why make an appointment if you can’t fill it? On my second visit (the rescheduled one), I sat for 45 minutes past my appointment time before being brought into a chair. Once in a chair, it took an additional 1 & 1/2 hours for me to actually see the dentist, who stated she couldn’t work on my teeth due to the cracked tooth. I was told this needed removal prior to a cleaning. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue. However this was a known topic from the prior visit and I should have been scheduled for the extraction, not the cleaning. Wasted 2 1/2 hours of my day to be told to come back AGAIN.

They are always very kind and attentive, it's just that the last terrible appointments were canceled due to lack of staff and today at the appointment that was at 8 am they took 2 hours to start with my 6 year old son who was hungry, if they don't have more doctors why do they combine appointments that is a lack of respect for other people's time!!

I wasn’t satisfied so I went back to my old dentist. Last visit to west Coast ,I wait an hour and a half to be seen and my knees and back was hurting. I left and then they call be a half hour later saying it was my turn. I call my dental insurance to let them know I was changing dental places and let them know they didn’t to any work. I needed a root canal and a Crown the Insurance said they put in for the root canal but not the Crown. I was upset and the dentist I am going to now said I didn’t need the root canal or crown.

I arrived early to my appointment. I wasn’t called back until 30min after my appointment time. Then I was x-rayed and sat in the dental chair waiting for the dentist for 45 min. When the dentist arrived she spent about 5 minutes with me and then told me someone would be coming over to talk to me about my insurance. I was under the impression that I would be getting the things the dentist discovered taken care of at this visit and a cleaning. After waiting an hour I stood up and walked to the front desk. They said ”oh yes your insurance will cover this visit and we need to schedule another appointment” This visit was a disappointment and a waste of time. When we have open enrollment at work to pick another dental plan we are changing dentists.

My wife was in extreme pain on the Saturday (5/29/21) of Memorial Day weekend. We had not previously used your office before, but you were able to see her, which was greatly appreciated. We were quoted "as much as $239 for an extraction", which we approved. We were then scheduled to return on 6/2/21 @ 11am. We arrived at 11am, and after standing in the hot sun for 2.5 hours, my wife was finally seen at 1:30pm. To make matters worse she was promptly turned away due to swelling. The swelling and inability to treat her was understandable... waiting outside for 2.5 hours due to poor office management, was unacceptable. After voicing my dissatisfaction with your office manager, we were told that we could have the very first appointment on Saturday (7am on 6/5/21 which we scheduled), to prevent any long wait times. We arrived before 7 and were not seen until 7:30. Again, poor management. No other patients were seen before us, and if you can’t be ready at 7 for your first appointment, schedule your first appointment for 7:30 – that’s just common sense. Once seen, they were able to perform my wife's extraction. When asked to pay, I was informed it would be $773! My wife, who speaks very little English, was coerced into paying over $500 for bone graft. She wasn't quoted a price for the bone graft, and had no understanding of what they were telling her due to the language barrier. Never in my lifetime have I heard of needing a bone graft for a simple extraction. She is only 32 years old and I find it hard to believe that a bone graft was necessary. I’m willing to bet it was a “suggestion” that was made to my limited English-speaking wife, and clearly not communicated that it was not a medical necessity. This may be your standard practice to upcharge patients, and of course, it leaves no recourse, because your office and doctors can always state that it is in the name of health care.” In summary, our $239 extraction, resulted in a $773 fee, which was not medically necessary, and preyed upon the limited English-speaking skills of my wife, your patient. We also had numerous office delays, one which was 2.5 hours in the hot sun with no seating. I failed to mention she was given antibiotics on 5/29, and when unable to perform the extraction on 6/2, she was given a “new” prescription, which was identical to the previous one. The office manager was confused when I pointed this out; however, she did her best to act as if it wasn’t an oversight. She assured me it was a “different prescription” for a stronger antibiotic, which it wasn’t. It was the same as the previous, which my wife was still in the process of completing. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. Not family, friends, strangers… heck, I wouldn’t recommend it to my enemies, as even they deserve better. Taking advantage of someone who doesn’t speak English is reprehensible. I’m hopeful others read my review and stay away from your office(s).

I only chose 1 star because NO stars wasn't an option. This dentist office is very sketchy!!! First it turned out the appointment time we were given is actually the dentist's lunch time! I took my 12yr old and they wouldn't allow me to be in the room with him... What type of medical place requires you to send your child into the back room with them unaccompanied??? Both my child and I were uncomfortable with it so we left. I would never recommend them.

We arrived at my son's appointment scheduled with the children specialist only to be told that cancelled my appointment because they don't accept my insurance and they attempted to call me 6 times and left voicemails. I confirmed that they do accept my insurance and my son was recently seen in December with no insurance changes. I confirmed I did not receive any missed calls or voicemails, but still they refused to see my son because they did not have availability. I took time off work and made arrangements for my son be picked up early from daycare all for nothing with no valid reason or apology.

I made an appointment and still had to wait 45 minutes before I got called in the back. Really nice lady x-rayed my teeth and moved me to a chair in another room. I waited for almost another 40 minutes until the dentist saw me. She recommended different procedures and then 20 minutes later I was told that my insurance company wasn’t open on Saturday and I had to come back. What a total waste of over two hours. May just contact my insurance provider and have them recommend someone.

I was sent a text requesting a review on my visit, what timing. I had an appointment today (3/8/21) to get some work done (cracked crown replacement likely due to a new partial, 2 fillings & regular cleaning) and I went in all for not, never got beyond front desk, what a waste of time! The work was scheduled & before having anything done, a manager wanted to go over what I would owe...$3171! I have insurance & I knew that was completely incorrect, I was being told that my insurance wasn't covering anything, not one cent? I knew my portion/copay was $650, a little discrepancy with the $3171 I was being told, you think so? I had my insurance Fax them a billing schedule so they can see what my insurance covers, then they could ask me for the correct amount, the copay. I figured all was resolved and can move ahead...Nope! I was told other manager (Erika, who wasn't there) had to go over the billing with me first! Initially, I was told I'd have to come in and then make an appointment to return on another day after talking to manager Erika. What an inconvenient plan that was, it was then changed to Erika would call me. I know COVID has caused some issues, but this isn't related to COVID, just dropping the ball! When money is being charged, jobs need to be done, it's that simple! Hummmm, I just realized a comment was made about HMO vs PPO. Could it be something said in office as a result of at least one prior overcharge that my insurance picked up on and now they are requesting billing records?

I had a positive experience. Usually to get a cavity filled it takes 4 shots of Novacane and even then I still feel the drill. Today I got two cavities filled with only 2 shots and felt nothing. The staff is very friendly, Good with kids and very thorough in explaining financial cost and financing options. If I had to have one negative, there was a bit of a wait but honestly they preformed very well so I felt it was worth the time.

My wife and I had an appointment on Saturday at 8am. We showed up on time and we filled out their paperwok and about 40 minutes later we were told that the female dentist (I don't know her name) had called in. This was the 2nd time we had rescheduled our appointments within the same week due to the dentist not being available after all. The receptionist apologized for the inconvenience and offered to do the Xrays and give us a new appointment for our dental cleaning. We agreed but after another 40 minutes of waitting again and no one telling us why it was taking so long to do our xrays we decided to leave. If you also want to waste a beatiful morning and go home feeling ignored this is the place to go to.

I came to West Coast Dental of Orange for my wisdom teeth extraction yesterday. I got all 4 out and they put in bone grafts for my bottom two teeth and I had nitrous oxide administered. I waited a bit to get seen even though I was one of the first people in the door (my appointment was at 7am and I left around 8:30), but once the procedure started it was pretty quick and I didn't feel much pain other than one tooth that was close to the nerve (but the oral surgeon quickly got it out before it caused me more pain). The only thing I wish could have been different is that once the procedure was over they basically just gave me my at-home care instructions and my prescription and said "okay you're good to go" without really going into any detail about how I should care for my mouth afterward. Thankfully someone I know just went through a wisdom teeth extraction so they helped me figure out what to do and not do and what foods to eat, but I kind of felt like I was being ushered out the door really quickly after the procedure was done. I think this is because they were quite busy that day, and I noticed when I came in for my preliminary appointment a month ago they were busy then too. But other than that the staff were pretty friendly and answered the questions I had before the procedure started. I would recommend this office for oral surgery but just get there early and know it could take a couple of hours because they are often busy.

Showed up for scheduled appointment a few minutes early as we had filled out paperwork online. Waited for over 35 min for my daughter to be taken back for X-rays and check. The staff who worked there (front desk, assistant , and dentist were nice). I waited over 45 Minutes to begin xrays, and then waited another 20-30 min for dentist to do his 5 min check up and send me out. Told me they can’t clean teeth due to covid 19, but I had been told by whoever scheduled my appointment that the dentist would clean as long as I didn’t need a deep cleaning (I didn’t). So after almost 2 hours in this office, I was seen for a total of 25 minutes and sent on my way. They would put me on a cleaning list and call me back. What a waste of time, so aside from them being nice, I would not recommend them, and I will not be going back. Don’t lie when making appointments.

I first heard of West Coast Dental at Orange at their booth at the Alzheimer’s Walk. I decided to come in for a consultation for a special case that I had that could not be fixed with braces. Dr. Rafaat, through the procedures has been very thorough and precise. What also sets him apart is his explanation of what he’s doing as he works. So far all staff have been very kind and accommodating. I even came in at the wrong time for my appt. and they were still able to see me.

Great experience at this office. Everyone was so kind, helpful. They let me split my payment in two. First payment with the temporary crown and second half with the permanent crown. Let's face it, I have not met a bunch of people who look forward to going to the dentist.. I've personally avoided the dentist for decades; fear, pain, cost were my big reasons. I started to go to West Coast Dental in Orange, and I have not regretted it for a second! Dr. Rafaat listened to my fears, and in return was gentle and talked me through each step. The front office staff took time to get to know me, and greet me as a person, not just a "customer". I would highly recommend this office for all my dental work. And I've had A LOT here: extractions, root canals, bridge work, caps, and crowns, and snap-in partials. (I told you I had been afraid to go to the dentist). Honestly, because of the people at this office, I'm finally coming back to get the work completed! Thank you West Coast Dental of Orange!!!

There have been 3 instances where they forgot about me for 2 hours, letting later appointment and walk-in patients go in first and ignore me. I know sometimes it gets pack but these instances had one or two people in with walk-ins literally told to go in with me sitting there. I honestly felt disrespected when they literally say "Oh my bad" like I'm some kind of inconvenience. I don't know if it's lack or organization or communication but this doesn't feel professional at all sometimes. They literally lost my damn folder for about 8 minutes then after they did the work they just left me to sit there until one of the assistants told me I could just leave. This is so stupid.

I hate going to the Dentist’s office (or Doctor or hospital). I recently had oral surgery, the doctor was diligent to make sure I was numb and stayed numb for the entire procedure, he did a great job (excellent actually) and I was healed with all sutured removed two weeks later. I went back today (another two weeks) for him to evaluate the result, he and I are very pleased at the result. I highly recommend these people for any dental/oral procedures you need, I’ve already recommended them to one of my co-workers and they also are very pleased with their experiences.

All 3 appointments I was on time but was called back to be seen 20 to 30 minutes later. My 3rd appointment I could not be seen because I was 34 minutes delayed NOT called back and had to go to work. No explanation why. I wanted to speak with someone in Authority was told by the staff person that they would let the Regional Director know and expect a call. HAVE NOT REVEIVED ANY TYPE OF RESPONSE!!!!!! I do NOT recommend this Dental office Pz

Requested a deep clean for my wedding, and o forgot to ask for the doctor’s name. He was an Asian (Indian) doctor, who helped me through out the process. He was very professional, patient, and friendly. He didn’t hurt me at all even though the procedure required to numb by lips and jaws with two shots. I’m not a big fan of needles but he ensured me that it was painless. He answered all my questions and did his best to help me. The staffs are friendly, attentive and make you feel comfortable at all time. I would definitively come back for them to work on my teeth for other procedures! Would totally recommend.

Not happy with this office. The staff is not accurate with their jobs and always change appointments after already being set up. Last visit after I waited inside about an hour and 10 minutes, the front desk manger came to apologize that the doctor will be even later than expected and asked if I wanted to stay longer for him!!! I wasn’t happy waiting one hour and 10 minutes for nothing. And when I asked her why she gave me an appointment if another patient had the same appointment time like mine, her excuse was because the appointment center who took the appointments for them ?! Isn’t the office supposed to have communication with the appointment center to adjust for the patients convenience????!!!!! If I’m calling to schedule an appointment, I’m calling the office, not an “appointment center”.

This is quite possibly the worst dentist office I've ever been to. Not only have I had to have been rescheduled multiple times for my wisdom teeth removal, the same thing has happened to my girlfriend (even more so). In fact today she got to wait over an hour from the appointment time just to be referred to another dentist. Previously she has also waited around (again, over an hour) for them just to tell her that the machines for one of the procedures wasnt working and she'd have to come back later. Just know this: dont expect your actual appointment to take place the day of your "appointment". To this place it's more of a suggestion as far as they're concerned. I've worked a long time in the customer service industry and believe me, this place has no respect for YOUR time. Avoid this place if you have the choice.

Well the staff is ok, but they make you wait at least 45 minutes after you sign in and after your name is called you have to wait another 30 to 45 min till the doctor comes, and if you are ok to wait half a day then they r ok

I've always Hated going to the Dentist, I could not get Any work done, not even a teeth cleaning unless I was numb and disoriented(nitrous gas).. But for the first time, I was able to get work done and without numbing agents or the nitrous.. That's because the staff and Dentist were Superb! I'll never go to another Dentist.. The staff is so great! Dr. Refaat is the best! So caring and gentle... He constantly makes sure you’re comfortable and won’t feel any pain. Kathy (at the front) is the sweetest. She made sure I understood all fees, insurance coverage, and helped me to setup affordable payments for what wasn’t covered! Also I brought my 2 and 4 year old to see the kids specialist and they had a great experience as well!

My experience was the worst. I made an appt. a week in advance, after 2 hours of waiting I was called in for an X Ray. My #4 & 16 were chipped and wiggling but they could not detect that on the X Ray. I appointed them out to the Oral Surgeon (?? Haorrany) who told them to prepare for extractions. To my greatest surprise a woman from the front desk walked up to me with the news that he was over booked and could not help me. Remember, I had waited for 4 hrs. The most disappointing buffoonery was the mockery from the 2 girls at the front desk. I was an object of mockery. Severe pain is a joke? I don't know how people with this kind of condescending attitude are allowed at front desk. The petite one was so degrading and belittling that I handed her a note.
We want to extend our sincerest apologies concerning all the issues that you have faced. We pride ourselves in maintaining the highest quality standards for our patients. We hope you will give us another opportunity.

I scheduled an appointment for my daughter on Sep 20th for today Oct 4th, so I had to take a day off from work to attend to this appointment, I got a call from them yesterday to confirm my appoimennt, so today when we got to their office I was told that the doctor called sick and nobody else was there to help and do the spacer that my daughter needs.. So my daughter got late to school, I lost my day of work for nothing, they didn't even took the time to call me and cancel... waste of time and money

I don't know about the quality of the dental work because I never got that far. Front office is run by amateurs and they do not respect the clients. Came in with an appointment and a referral from my insurance for consultation. After waiting an hour past my appointment time I asked what was going on, their responses was the doctor was running behind. At no time was I informed of a delay. My time is worth something to me and if the doctor is overload then they should have given me a choice of rescheduling. I informed them that I would wait another 15 minutes and then pull my referral. A few minutes I was taken into a large room with several examining chairs, first chair the headrest was set way back and not in position to support my head and technician made no attempt to fix the situation. So after I sat up on the edge of the chair another technician came over and tried to fix the headrest, she was unable to do so and direct me to a second chair. Second chair had 12" x 12" electrical box down at the feet on the floor with no cover plate. As she directed me to sit in the chair she knocked over a plastic bottle with about a quart of water in on to the floor next to open electrical box. I left the office, it was obvious they don't care about their patient for their time, comfort or safety.

I don’t know if I can speak for everyone out there that has had EXTENSIVE dental work before but this office is absolutely amazing. Dr. Refaat operate with such finesse and care that I didn’t feel anesthetia being administered. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking to get dental work done. I go in for oral surgery this weekend and I haven’t the slightest concern about my comfort level based on my experience!

I scheduled a routine appointment for my 4 year old and 6 year old. JUST. a cleaning and check up. They called a reschedule with us 3 times and then told us our CHILDREN needs to fast for 6 hours "just in case" work needed to be done. It sounded fishy. when I insisted that they just needed cleaning they told me they had my daughter's file on record showing she had "unfinished" work from a year ago. I was furious that they were so bold in trying to pull a fast one on me and drill.into my kids teeth ????✌

The girls up front are really kind and helpful. I took my daughter to get fill ins, first off they scheduled at 2pm. We arrived a couple minutes early, they took over 40min to take us in, then it took even more time for the dentist to come in. She had my daughter with the mouth piece in for over 40min because she kept going back and forth with other patients. After they began putting the fill ins, my daughter’s jaw was hurting then the dentist didn’t do a good job. After this my daughter couldn’t floss because then dentist didn’t leave enough space so the floss wouldn’t go in at all.

Don't waste your time, my husband and I had horrible experiences here. First, I got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out at this location with anesthesia. A couple of days later I started to experience numbness in my left arm/hand. I began suffering from extreme anxiety afterwards due to the numbing of my arm. I have not been the same since (meaning I sometimes still experience numbness or anxiety). Second, my husband scheduled for a deep cleaning, he went in on the scheduled day (took time off of work) just to have the dentist tell them they couldn't (or wouldn't) do it. Very irritating especially since they confirmed the appointment and he had a prior appointment before. Needless to say we will not be returning here. There are many other dentist offices we would rather go to.

Do not go here I been going here since I was 12 it was fine at first with this one guy call " Dr. Baltazar" but he ended up leaving. The people who been working on me recently age the age of 19 to 20 have mess up my teeth up. I have spent over 9 thousand dollars only to now be suffering with tooth pain. Pain I didn't even have until I went there to get my teeth fixed up. I have had a lot of pain and they be like.. "You just have a cavity". I recently had a cavity and a tooth that got turn into a deep root canal cause they wouldn't fix it when it was a cavity. Before I felt no pain in those 2 teeth. Until they decide to work on them both . Since they have worked on them I been off and off with throbbing pain, or intense pain and each time I tell them the problem they say " Oh it just a side effect or you have a cavity".. It been like 3-6 months since then and they have done nothing to help at all.. Even the numbing they use don't work on me I still feel every little poke they do to my teeth it painful. But it the only dentist near me that accepts Medi-cal. Even so I honestly want my money back. Cause this is ridiculous.

Do you want to be seen by a dentist who cares more about your money than your well being? If yes, you've found the right place. This place is worse than a used car dealer. If you are on medi-cal you should just skip this place, unless you are on medi-cal and still happen to have thousands of dollars to give this dentist for a bunch of unnecessary procedures. Another thing about this place, they backstab each other in front of the patients. The staff will talk about other staff at the front desk and then when the person they are talking about comes out from the back office they get all hush hush. This is usually not a good sign if you are looking for people that will do the best job possible. They are too concerned with office politics. This dentist is a liar, a cheat, and a nazi.

While I call this place our local dentist, the truth is we drive a bit farther to West Coast Dental than our previous dentists simply because they are worth the drive. Our previous dentist, although had an office just near our home, was very unprofessional. I was hesitant to change dentists simply because of the convenient location. But then a friend of mine told me about West Coast Dental. Our new dentist at West Coast Dental is an angel! Very professional and sooooo kind! I have never been to a dentist who is so willing to talk and explain the procedures. And I’ve never met staff members who actually remember me by my first name! And in reality it’s only a few miles out of the way. Very worth it! Thank you West Coast Dental!

Front office staff is not the best. I came in with a toothache and had to wait for my prescription for more than 4 hours. Note for the manager: if you have doctors with restrictions to send electronic Rx then they should be writing Rx slips instead of making patients wait for hours, especially the ones coming in with pain!
