Today I had an appointment at 11:00 when I walked in there were two people ahead of me and they called me in first to do my x-rays then I sat in the chair waiting for the dentist till 12:15 as I got up to walk out the nurse stopped me and said that I was next mind you the two other people that were in the waiting room were already getting their teeth worked on even though I was called in first so I sat there in the chair for another 30 minutes 12:45 when the doctor said well she was in my room I need to take my lunch the nurse told me that she wasn't going to be back until 2:30 you can just imagine what I was thinking she did give me a prescription and told me I could make another appointment for Friday I think I need to call the better Business bureau on these people there has to be somebody I can complain to this is just wrong it took up my whole morning and I didn't even get work done and I'm in total pain right now thank you West Coast dental you just prove you guys are not worth going to

I came in for a filling falling out. The dentist proceeded to tell me that I needed a root canal and crown. I went to another dentist and they told me I just needed a crown no root canal. This place is a scam. They are suppose to be professionals and help people that have no clue about dentistry. Instead they scam us out of money not cool. Don’t go here

I arrived at the office 5 minutes before the appointment.Receptionist told me that your appointment is canceled because doctor has two more patients at the same time. West coast Dentals did not inform about cancellation of my appointment beforehand . This created lots of inconvenience.

The place is very clean, with friendly and bilingual staff. My only concern was the care for an elderly patient with a walker. Their cleaning/dental stations have a very crowded hall, and if you are standing there waiting for your loved ones to get x-rays, you’re pretty much watching everybody else’s procedures, so privacy is very limited. It was also difficult to maneuver my mom‘s walker, but everybody made room for her safely and appropriately. They use an ultrasonic cleaner, which is a best practice and excellent for dental health, however, my mom was in a lot of pain. I think the care for elderly patients just needs to be revisited to ensure that they are following best geriatric care practices.

I would give zero star to this clinic but there is no such option on google map. I have been customer of clinic over two years. I accepted orthodontic treatment and general treatment in this place but they provided me the services below average lot of times. I could take lots of examples. I just went to this clinic today at 4:40 pm, 20 mins before my appointment at 5 pm and they asked me to wait there until 5:30 after taking the x-ray imaging. Then someone called my name, I thought it was finally my turn but the guy told me very bad news that doctor was not available and my appointment got canceled. I was so frustrated at that moment because no one told me before. They should’ve told me early and funnier thing was that the agent from their clinic called me on the phone in the afternoon to make sure my appointment was today at 5. Just like last Friday they called me the last minute and canceled my orthodontic visit at 4:30 pm when I tried to leave for their clinic. ( At least they called me right ahead of time, sarcastically!)

I scheduled an orthodontic consultation a month in advance, specifically requesting a 5:00 PM appointment. Before booking, I repeatedly confirmed that they coordinated benefits between my two specific insurance providers. This was the only reason I chose West Coast Dental. In the days leading up to my appointment, I called three separate times to offer my insurance information and ask if there was any paperwork I needed to complete beforehand. Each time, I was told that nothing was needed. On the day of my appointment, I called at 1:00 PM to confirm, but they couldn't find my appointment at first. After a 10-minute search, they located it and told me it was at 4:30 PM. I explained that my appointment was at 5:00 PM, as I had waited a month to secure that specific time. They reluctantly agreed to see me at 5:00 PM. I arrived at 4:55 PM and signed in. The receptionist did not greet me and seemed irritated when I asked if she needed my insurance cards and ID. She claimed I should have received a form on my phone, but it turned out she had my wrong number. After an unprofessional exchange, she finally handed me the paperwork, which she rushed me to complete. It took three people to check me in, and while I was filling out the paperwork, another patient mentioned she had been waiting since 3:00 PM without being seen. Patient had still not been seen at 6:00 pm when I left !!!The receptionist then informed me that they would only be using my PPO insurance, which is my secondary insurance. I explained that my primary insurance had referred me to their office because they were contracted with them, but she rudely stated it was at their discretion which insurance to use, supposedly after consulting with her manager. The consultation with the doctor was brief but excellent—it took just five minutes. However, the checkout process dragged on for nearly another 40 minutes .The same receptionist, Anna, returned to provide me with a price quote, claiming she couldn't contact my insurance company because it was after 5:00 PM. I explained that I was already aware of my benefits and was okay with someone contacting me the following week with a finalized quote. Anna refused, saying it wasn’t her job, but she might find someone who could follow up with me. Anna’s attitude and unprofessionalism are seriously damaging this practice. Her rudeness and condescending behavior were unacceptable. The only person who showed any level of professionalism was Ashley, who almost apologized for Anna’s behavior. Ashley should be the one running the front desk. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to West Coast Dental.

Please DO NOT COME HERE!! They ruined my braces treatment. Said I needed them for 2 years ended up having them on for 5 years. My teeth were not messed up at all. I finished my treatment now. They pulled out 4 teeth and now my smile looks pushed back. They ruined my teeth/smile. DO NOT COME HERE.

This office was good when I started but as of now, I wont be returning! My appointments are always canceled. The young girl that does finacials is always rude. Waiting time is 45min to 1 hour wait to be seen. I expressed my fustration to the top manager Maria and she sound so unprofessional the way she speaks . I would not recommend this place to anyone

Your Nightmare
After almost 2 hours of being anesthetized in my mouth waiting for the doctor who never came, I had to talk to the manager to fix the problem! Apart from the fact that they took x-rays of my teeth and they didn't want to give me any information and they didn't even give me a copy or anything for me to look at! They just told me that they are going wrong and that was it! As they fixed my teeth and that was almost a month ago and I still have a tooth that bleeds! He left something stuck between my teeth that was bothering me! It took me a while to get it out and it bled a lot! After that I've been taking care of myself because food gets in and it hurts! When I clean it it bleeds! But I'm not going back to that place! Dr. Zaden is not professional at all in her work. When I told her why she left me waiting for so long, her excuse was that my job was very easy, so she went to make my job more difficult first! When it shouldn't be like that! I lost part of my rest day there with a numb mouth and these weeks have been very annoying because of the discomfort! The truth is that I do not recommend it, much less that Dr. Zaden treats them.

I can’t believe what a complete waste of time this appointment was. I shouldn’t have taken the reviews from yelp and google lightly. I had an appointment at 9:00am which I showed up for at 8:55am. Filled out the paperwork at home prior and it did not help with the process. I waited until 10:30am before my husband and I were fed up. Why are you guys overbooking like that? And the front desk person told us towards our exit that they were having a hard time with IT creating our profile because we were new patients. Why didn’t she tell us while having those issues? I’m not sure how 3 front desk people would be completely okay with letting people wait more than 1.5 hours without explanation. They could have informed us, they could’ve helped reschedule, they could’ve told us to leave and take walk and let us know when they were getting close to calling us. But instead, they just wasted our time without any remorse. I wouldn’t know if the dentist was great, because the service didn’t allow it

Avoid this dental clinic at all costs! It's the worst I've ever been to. They don't respect appointment times, leaving me waiting nearly an hour for a quick 15-minute deep cleaning treatment. The same delay occurred during my initial consultation, where my 5 p.m. appointment turned into a 5:55 p.m. visit. To top it off, they couldn't finish my x-rays because they closed at 6 p.m., forcing me to schedule another day. Save yourself the frustration and find another clinic!

Absolutely terrible service. I had to get surgery and before so I was told that I could be placed on a payment plan interest free for 2 years. Come surgery day and I pay $700 out of pocket then to be told the rest could not be put on a payment plan unless I gave $500 down payment. Liars and out for money. Now my options are come up with $500 and then go on a payment plan for 3 months (they lied about that too) or go to collections because I can't come up with $900 in 60 days. And when I was rightfully upset, I was just told that I was already told the amount I had to pay like they didn't lie to me about the payment options.

Not a good place, A waste of time. Made an appointment for a dental cleaning to use the remaining benefits at the end of the year. Upon arrival the girl at the front desk told me that they would be taking x rays But that a "cleaning could Not be guaranteed" and by her demeanor it was not likely to happen at all that day. All this after being told that they would be able to do the cleaning! It now happens that some woman called me from the clinic telling me I did not keep the appointment and then hangs up the phone all of a sudden. Lost in space and stupid . Incompetent and unprofessional staff. Go elsewhere.

Usually decent. They will bug you will emails to set up an appt but then will proceed to not pick up for phone! I was put on hold for 45 at a time when Google said they weren't super busy. This has happened to be the last few years I was with them. Definitely will be choosing a new dentist that actually makes time for their patients.

I went in for a single root canal. I went in to have the single procedure done but the dentist racked up a $3000 bill. Now, not only am i out all that money, the procedure is failing. Its been a couple months and the tooth is still loose. Needless to say, West Coast Dental left me with a bad taste in my mouth. ?

Around december 2019 i got my tooth in my gums removed i was 14 years old female and i was a bit nervous and the asian sourgeon tells me "your not a baby anymore" i think it is rude and very unhelpful and when they finished they left me laying there the staff is nice but the place is dirty and gross no one come here and you arrive on time and they make you wait 40 minuites extra

Once again, waited and waited and waited. After 55 minutes, (employees said NOTHING while myself and several other people waited long past their appointment) I asked why we were waiting so long. I was advised it was because they had some unexpected consultations. I said, but I have an appointment and this is not the first time. Appointments should receive priority over consultations. I barely got an insincere apology. I wish I could go back in time and NOT choose this place. The waits are getting ridiculous. Also, as far as recommendations, I would recommend for people to NOT use that location. My next step is YELP. Maybe if this location was held more accountable for their clients they might do better?

Lately there seems to be a breakdown in communication to patients. I recently had full mouth extraction for traditional dentures. There was very little "What to expect" leading up to the extraction and nothing sent home with me after extraction. There were no follow up "how are you doing" type calls and I had to call to schedule my first follow up appointment. Fortunately I did a years worth of research before making the decision to do this and that was very helpful but there are a lot of variables from patient to patient. More communication with me regarding my specifics would have been nice. Example: went in today for my first follow up assuming I would get my stitches taken out. It's two weeks to the day since surgery. Everything I am looking up says 3 days - two weeks to desolve. I don't have desolvables. My surgeon was not in. The Dr that saw me told me he didn't want to remove them because he didn't do the surgery and didn't know the surgeon's plans for me. He told the office admin who asked about it that my mouth was still healing and to schedule me for two weeks away. I still don't understand why it would take 4 weeks for gums to heal enough to remove stitches when everything out there says 1-2 weeks. Dental upkeep is expensive and difficult to go through. Many don't because of the expense and the extraordinary uncomfortable nature of the process. Dental offices need to work towards being more customer forward, with empathy and compassion. And communication definitely goes a long way.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 3-4 years (gross, I know?). I called West Coast dental and was able to get a same day appointment. They even helped me get assigned via my dental group. Upon being seen, they quickly did X-rays and figured out I had a deep cavity. They worked on it same day and also did a cleaning. Everything went so smooth and all my questions were answered. While I had the temp filling in, I did experience some pain. I went in as a walk in and was attended once again, same day. I did have to wait about an hour, but my issue was resolved within minutes of being seen. I didn’t quite get everyone’s name, but they were all very sweet and caring including the gals at the front desk, the dental assistant and the dentist herself! I love this dental office.

And when I came in, they asked me to pay the check up and extraction full amount coz my insurance is not covered. Like thanks for the heads up, why didn't you tell me ahead so I don't waste my time? Unfortunately you're unable to get copies of what is being done with the monthly visits for braces You pay about a $100 every 5 weeks for about 5 minutes of time they work on you.

Do not bother to come to this place. They messed up our appt all the time. I have two kids, and like other parents, you want to bring them at the same time. The appt was scheduled 6 month ago for 4pm for both kids. I found out, one of them was schedule at 9am and the other one at 4pm few days ago. I called them and they said I can bring them in together. Received a reminder with the time that hasn't been changed. I called again, this time they said to bring them together. Received another reminder few hours later, this time one of them at 3pm and the other one at 4pm. I called again. They were not able to accommodate us. This is not the first time they did that to us. They are really incompetent scheduling 6 month follow up. Instead of apologizing and tried to reschedule us for another day , they seemed fine for us to cancel the appointment and to remove us from the calling list. Bad service. Take your family member to another place that truly care about you.

Now I understand that children are hefty to deal with in these kind of situations, but as trained kid orthos you have to bare patience with children. Appointment was at 12:00. I didn’t get called back until 12:40pm. An hour after I leave I get a voicemail that I supposedly have a copay that I didn’t pay on my way out. I’ve never had a copay explained to me before for a basic cleaning that I’ve been told over and over for years that’s always been covered until now. All you guys do is syphon money from me and the finance girl is always rude and has zero people skills. Over it.

I was supposed to have a check up and cleaning,the dentist never finished my cleaning. Somehow while i was there,my other veneer broke?? This is not the first time an app did not show up on computer. Everyone is nice. My son had a temporary crown done, which fell off same day. But, I have family members assured me it happens just need to go back, kids . The dentist office called back as soon office was open, and had me chose anytime I wanted and have the temporary crown replaced.

Do not waste your time here! My appointment was at 11am for a cleaning. It took them one hour to do X-rays. After they were done with that they wanted me to come back another day because it was lunch time and they could not do my cleaning. I waited until it was after lunch to have my cleaning done stating I would be the first one. The doctor was about to start my cleaning when another patient began complaining about her wait time and began helping her while I waited which I had been waiting since 11am. This place is unprofessional. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Also, they force you to wear a mask in the mornings because it's "policy" but after lunch time somehow it is no longer policy and no one is wearing one. This place is the worse!

It was nothing for her to call and make my next appointment, when it would have been very difficult for me, in pain headachey and that kind of thing gives me crazy anxiety. She was amazing. Unfortunately there was a big mistake made regarding my insurance coverage & WCD sent me home instead of checking further, i left & got home to call them myself & there was no problem at all. My insurance called their office & NOW everything is ok. I just wanna say thank you to the staff that let my mom come in after hearing me having an anxiety attack all the way from the front BUT I just wanna say to the doctors and the dental assistants DO NOT MAKE FUN OF SOMEONE WITH MENTAL HEALTH, I just recently went there and i have told them both before they started to put anything in my mouth I suffered from severe anxiety and the assistant asked me if I took anything for it and I had said “no I refuse to take medication.” (There’s a valid reason for it btw) and both the assistant and doctor started to laugh at me saying “maybe it’s time you do take them.” Very unprofessional and my advice would be to shut your mouth in front of a patient because you are there to help the patient not laugh about their Heath

Today, February 17, 2022, I was in that clinic, terrible attention from a doctor or secretary, whatever, she treats people indifferently, I went for a tooth extraction and she wanted to get a bridge, my insurance doesn't cover that, I didn't want a bridge, I just wanted to remove my tooth when I told her no, she was rude and told me that they couldn't serve me because they were full, I don't recommend that place at all, they just want to get money, and very bad service, lady, I wish you knew me I can only say that you are very bad and that you don't know who you may need tomorrow, be kinder since you work for the public.

I have been coming here every six months for years and I am fed up with the long wait and lack of care for patients. They had me wait 3 hours to tell me that they are going on lunch so I would have to come back 3 hours later. Terrible experience every time.

I’ve been going to West Coast dental for years. It can get busy, but as long as you make it to your appointment 15 minutes early you’ll be good. Receptionists are very sweet and accommodating! I overslept for my daughter’s orthodontist appointment today (my fault) and the receptionists were still able to fit us in even though they were busy. Thank you west coast dental staff!!!

Horrible waiting time, they scheduled everyone at 2:pm, so about 10 + people waiting to be called for a 2pm appointment. It's 3:30-4pm by the time you get to a call in. Some to consider. Some receptionist specifically in the orthodontist department are so rude, they act like if they're doing you a big favor,, there's a lady that total lacks of customer service. My daughter's almost done with the treatment! I'm so excited I won't see this receptionist cranky face, No more!!!

I had a pretty terrible experience with them. I originally scheduled my appointment for 11am but they called me asking to have it changed to 1pm to account for the time to fill out paperwork and not conflict with their lunch hour which was fine by me. Knowing this, I arrived early to fill out the paperwork, but the one staff present was working pretty slow. I had to wait 45 minutes until I was finally seen by someone. Their process to explain my insurance coverage was done poorly. I'm very frustrated with their lack of ability to explain what was covered and what wasn't covered. They treated me as if I was a child and I didn't appreciate that. I recommend finding a different dental group.

I had a deep cleaning with laser treatments and the antibiotics placed in gums. One week the right side the next week the left side. Each time I had a different dentist perform the cleaning and a different assistant. Both dentists and assistants were very proficient and each time took about 30 minutes. The wait time on the first visit was a lot longer because it was my first time there and x Ray's and exam and recommendations were included. I did have to wait over 1 hour in waiting room. The second visit I waited 10 minutes in waiting room and 20 minutes in chair for cleaning.

The wait time was terrible. If I have a 10:00 appointment I expect to be seen no longer than 15min after I check in. There is no reason I should be waiting an hour and half to get seen for x-rays and another 30 min for the dentist to come. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I will not be coming back and will be changing doctors. Whoever schedules these appointments has no clue what they are doing.

Ok so I went in and it wasn't even reviewed again with me the. X-ray showing what two teeth that was going to be getting the fillings; for some reason. I thought it was the two top ones but then she did the two bottom ones so in my head I was like, ok, I guess it's the two bottom back teeth but I shouldn't have to be in guessing it should have been a review of the x-rays and then a discussion with me being that I reminded the dentist that I've gotten better, but I have anxiety over being at the dentist. Anyways I got 1 fill before on a full blown cavity. It was lovely. Yesterday 6/4/21 I felt like the dentist who seems very sweet & appears to me that way too was angry at someone, she wasn't though, & took it out on me. It definitely wasn't like when I got my 1st ever fill at this same location, but different dentist. Why is it that today the next day, all my teeth are feeling sore or tender. It felt funny while eating as well. I was shaking when I left. I had to sit in my car for a couple of minutes before leaving to home. I'm feeling a lil scared about making a appointment to get the other 2 fillings. I would have given a 2 star but I appreciate the discount that was given to me for being with them so long. Also I could have asked to see the x-ray & to reviewed it again.

Worst experience of my life!!! I was referred to West coast dental by my dentist for 3 tooth extractions. Dr Sunwood Choi is incredibly cold and uncaring orthodontist I have ever met, I was so desperate to get these teeth out I put up with a 2 1/2 hour wait and cold staff, he never approached me to explain the procedure or talk with me prior. I was already crying by the time he walked up to me, quick intro and bam shoved the needle in my mouth several times as I screamed and kicked. He never check to see if I was numb enough before he tired pulling . I left there devastated. In shock and still in so much pain.never again ! He should not be allowed to practice!

My appointment was at 3 o’clock Waited for almost 2 hours standing outside to be seen, then they tried to do some X rays on me when i told them twice I’m pregnant and if i didn't ask them if its ok to do the X-rays on me they would have done it anyway. Plus they would make you wait at least 2 to 3 hours and sometimes they don’t even see you at all after you’ve been waiting that long and they would forget about you even though you’re inside their facility. Today i visited this place for extractions. I understand the covid 19 situation and all but was very hot waiting an hour outside in direct sunlight with no shade what so ever especially seeing the elderly out there. That was my first issue. The 2nd was the girls working the front desk/paperwork, they were rude. I called 15mins ahead to let them know I'll be late due to traffic on beach blvd, and the girl had an attitude saying fine and hung up. In my opinion they should treat people kindly until they get out of hand otherwise there's no reason for it.(treat me with respect and I'll give you respect), (respect is earned not given). Upon arrival being the only one there at the time. Everyone showed up after and again in my opinion I felt like they were rude. I don't see any reason to be, these people ask simply questions about the paper work as well as their appointments. They want you to sign your paperwork and it states initial that you've been warned about your surgery ect type stuff when you weren't Really. No one spoke to me about my surgery or anything I've went in there knowing due to a previous situation with my prior dentist but for the ones who haven't they should be understanding. I think they need NEW staff for the front desk period these were my main issues. As for the actual dr. He was nice,informative, and quick.

I’m not really understanding the point of appointments if you’re going to have us wait outside for 20-45 mins without seating. Perhaps employing the checkin and call method that the Long Beach location has will bode well. Please figure out a better way to serve your customers, because this isn’t it. Response to the Company: This isn’t the first time this happened. The month prior I waited an hour to be seen. The point is if you are cleaning or setting up for the next patient, then have appointment times that account for delays, or inform your patrons that these delays are occurring. Standing outside without seating for that time period is inappropriate and poor customer service. As stated, the Long Beach location allows you to check in and wait in your car. They will telephone you once it is your turn to come in. I’m sure you will agree that this is better than what you are currently doing.

Hi, Denee. Due to COVID-19, we are practicing new measures and protocols for every patient's safety and convenience. We do ask patients to wait outside and in your car for social distancing reasons, to ensure everyone's safety. We also spend some time in between each patient's visit to properly clean and sanitize the entire room or area before allowing the next patient to come in. This might sometimes cause a setback in the wait time, but the time spent cleaning in between patients will benefit you by lowering the risk of possible infection or sickness during this time of the pandemic. Regardless, we would like to apologize for the longer than usual wait time, and understand how frustrating it can be to be seen late when you have gone out of your way to make it to our office. We try our best to ensure that these types of occurrences do not happen regularly, but as is the nature of the business, sometimes we run a little bit behind. The front desk staff is very rude and condescending UNTIL they have your credit card which they don't ask you for I.D. and when I asked if they were going to check my I.D. (as safe businesses are supposed to do) they were rudely dismissive at first and then acted catty and annoyed as if I was ordering them to do something when I explained that that is what good businesses do so that your information is not stolen. My husband and I agree that we are definitely not coming back to this place. If my credit card info was stolen; I know where it happened.

Since i can't give zero stars. By far the worst experience. First time customer, appointment set for my two daughters was not seen until a made a fuss after waiting for over two hours. I called couple times to inquire about being seen, was told 15 to 20 minutes every time, they were short staff, only one room available for consultation. Once we were seen to of 20 minutes for both consultations, with no xrays. The Office Manager, Maria (I think that was her title) she never introduced herself, informed me they need to send my information to the person responsible for insurance verification and it would take about 4 weeks as the forms need to be send via mail. One of my daughter's asked "regular mail", I was explaining to her what she was saying, Maria was overhearing the conversation and began to say she was offended I was making fun of her, over the comment of regular mail. After wasting 2.5 hours of my time, with no treatment course, she was offended by a conversation tjat had nothing to do with her. What a joke. I have called the corporate office several times, left message with the public relations person and to this day no call back. I would never go back to this place, it is a joke.

I checked on my dental insurance website and then called this company. I went into detail of my history with the representative on the phone.. I have an excruciating toothache from a wisdom tooth that needs to be extracted. I get there and a very snobby receptionist told me that she doesn't know who told me I would be seen but I'm not, they aren't even willing to look at it regardless of the office being a participating dentist. I have never been treated that way. I had brain surgery a few months ago and my doctors gave the ok to remove it. She refused to see me. Beyond disappointing ?.

Everyone there is attentive and friendly. My best dental experiences came from there. For my extractions, the surgeon was extra careful and kept me informed every step. I felt his compassion for me during the procedure... ?

Had an appointment at 12 and had to wait 40 mins just to go inside. The receptionist gave everyone paperwork to fill out except me. I had to go ask her after 30 mins.After that, they had me waiting an hour inside until they finally did the teeth cleaning. It took 15 mins to actually clean my teeth. Why not schedule only 3 or 4 people per hour instead of cramming everyone in even when there aren't enough dentists? My previous appointment went smoothly. Short time & friendly staff. I'll give them another chance in hopes that this is just a covid issue.

I’ve been coming to this dentist for 3 years. I don’t recommend having your wisdom teeth removed here without going under because I still remember wiggling in the chair during that process 3 years ago. The cleanings are very affordable but be prepared to spend time sitting in the chair. The wait is worth it though because doctor is very thorough during her examinations!

I appreciate the oral surgeon of being so calm and collective, and letting me know as a patient that everything is going to be okay. However, there’s a receptionist that I did not appreciate when they were going over bone grafts before the procedure. The way she explained it to me was very vague and didn’t seem to know what she was trying to say. For that she would need more training on how she needs to talk to patients.

I have been going to this dentist for many years. She is wonderful, but I always have to wait 45-60+ min...always. when I sign in there's always 3-4 people scheduled for the same appt time, but only one doctor. I always ask if they are running behind. One day I just left because of a very long wait, today I was told they weren't busy, so it would be on time. My appt was at 10. Didnt happen. Dentist saw me at 11:15. They do good work, but the dentist is overworked and has to jump back and forth to patients. Unfortunately, I will have to find another dentist.

I am so impressed by this place! I haven’t seen a dentist in a couple years so I was feeling nervous when I arrived. I was seen less than 15 minutes after I arrived. I quickly got some xrays and was seen by a Dentist soon after to discuss treatments. I needed some work so I was prepped for a root canal, the doctor was VERY gentle with me when giving me the shots of novacaine and the root canal was quick and painless. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations, everyone was SO friendly and the office was very clean and strictly following COVID-19 safety protocol. I know I definitely won’t be nervous for my next appointment in a few weeks!

Not a welcoming environment. Staff must be overworked to not be compassionate or considerate. One of the staff members did take the time to listen to my concerns but the majority of the staff appeared to be aggressive in their sales tactics. If you aren’t paying out of pocket, they treat you secondary. This is not reflected on dr. Chou who did a great job with my wisdom tooth extraction but his staff refused to listen to my concerns. I wasnt given the right prescription and now I’m in unbearable pain. The place also seemed to be over crowded with patients. Sharing a room with other patients too. Front desk do not wear their mask properly either. Don’t feel safe coming back to this office.

We are first time patients to this office I was assigned by Delta care insurance company so I decided to give them a try. My husband cracked his tooth and was in severe pain when I called and let them know the the lady said no problem he’s going to be very well taken care of . I made the appointment for today at 4 PM I even drove there to meet him so I could fill out the paperwork. He was called in and in less than 45 mins he came out with a prescription and no extraction he was told that there was no oral surgeon to do the extraction . I’m confused because if I made appointment with the dentist why couldn’t the dentist do the extraction and then they give him an appointment for the following Thursday for the extraction it was a big disappointment and a waste of time!

I went for my regular checkup, they checked me and told me that I had no cavities, I had no swollen gums, I have no pain, or anything serious. but that I needed a deep cleaning, I asked them that I only wanted my regular cleaning, which is what my insurance covers, they insisted that the deep cleaning that costs $200 should be made mandatory, if not, they would leave the place in a very bad way. . The attitude of both the Doctor and the assistant was very rude and contemptuous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!! THE DOCTOR'S ATTENTION IS BAD.. AND HE ASSURED ME THAT A DEEP CLEANING IS NOT MANDATORY IF I DON'T WANT IT.

Everyone is always super nice. Especially the 2 female dentists here. They always explain everything thoroughly and no question is ever dumb enough. Hard to find a great dental office. This place is horrible. Try’s to give you exams and x rays that they have already to bill you more. Customer service is atrocious, you make an appointment and they actually see you no less than an hour after your scheduled appointment. Never go to this Dentist office. If I could give them zero star’s I would.

Evey appointment we've made for the last 2 years has never been on time. We waited at least 30mins or more for my son to get called. Also, other patients were upset as well because of the wait. Worst dentist I've ever had. 9 out of 10 times my appointments run about and hour late. They never, ever take me in on time. Then they make me wait in a room another 20-30 minutes. My daughter has braces through this place and she tells me that they're no compassion . They don't talk or ask how she's feeling. Sometimes she doesn't even know of she's done because they don't say anything to her. Also, there's no communication between their oral surgeon, dentist or orthodontist. I the parent have to ask so many questions before I get an answer, it's like they don't know. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! HONESTLY YOU'LL REGRET IT.

My husband has new insurance and we had to choose a different orthodontist for my daughter. When I called to make an appointment I asked if and informed that my daughter is in the process of treatment already with denti-cal. My husband just got dental insurance thru his employer can we use this insurance for my daughters braces. Both the insurance company and the scheduler told me we could. We go to our visit that's not the case. The office manager said she could tell me this bc she knows and the person scheduling may just know general care.... ummm... Your scheduler should not be scheduling for your orthodontist if they do not know insurance policies. The visit was pointless if we cant use our dental insurance. And I was told we have to apply for care credit first and get denied before we are given another option however with the second option we pay 300 down and 220 a month. Why would you schedule patients and not inform them that they cant use their insurance? Dnt you have people checking insurances and authorizations before patient visits?

I let them know from the beginning I am coming in for a filling that fell out. They do all the photos they need and seat me in a room where I waited 35 minutes before the doctor came in. She spends ~15 minutes checking my teeth then tells me the work that needs to be done. I said I'll wait on everything else that needs to be done, I just want my filling done for now. Well its now lunch time so I can't be helped until after 2 pm, when I have work. They said a filling would've less than 30 minutes. Wonder where that 30 minutes could've come from. I scheduled an appointment for 11 am thinking 3 hours is enough to get my filling replaced. Guess 3 hours for a filling is not long enough.

I highly recommend this dentist. I took my my 3 year old daughter here for her 1st dental visit. My daughter has autism and possibly ADHD (too young to diagnose). The young lady at the front scheduled her with the specialist. They let her get familiar with the tools before they even started. They were friendly. I was scared as I was waiting, but walked out with relief.

I have always been terrified of going to the dentist, I had to dose myself with Xanax before I went and have someone drive me. But since Dr. Pampaniya has taken care of me I don't need to take Xanax and I don't have panic attacks. She is gental and talks you through the entire process.The staff members are great too, their all really personable and make you feel comfortable. My Ins. changed and they gave me another dentist closer to my home, but I refused to go, I'd rather drive the extra miles and know that I'll be taken care of. So I called my Ins. and had them change it back to WEST COAST DENTAL GROUP. Couldn't be happier.

If u have denti-cal DO NOT GO HERE! There 5 star reviews seem to say exact same things--I waited an hour in an empty office just to get x-ray. After was informed needed couple root canals Amongst other things. Mouth was in severe pain was told by the billing lady said 6-8 weeks to get approval waited a hole month then finally called Denti-cal and was informed all that westcoast dental Buena Park office where I went ONLY SUBMITTED payment for X-rays and the visit its self. They told me that no authorization forms for root canals were submitted. So I call the Dentist and ask Why and immediatly she was defencive start talking over me said paperwork was sent must have got lost not her fault so she would send another copy with original to prove she wasnt just lying----exactly one month later Denti-cal said once again nothing was submitted on my behalf and still to this day almost 3 months later WESTCOAST DENTAL IN BUENA PARK still has not called. Its clear they only want ur X-rays and office visit because they get paid for those two within 3-5 bissnuss days. The lied to me made me wait in pain and again kept lying to me!!!! Now I know u never wait that long Denti-cal says call them and check in one week, and as I am new to program I was informed that I could go somewhere else I didn't have to wait on lies that led to nothing. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. PLEASE if u chose to go be smart and follow up with Denti-cal NOT Westcoast Dentil in Buena Park! REAL REVIEW

The orthodontist was unavailable and they rescheduled my appointment twice. I pay my monthly payments on time and can't even get seen on a monthly basis as promised. Additionally, the office staff are very unprofessional. Sad thing about this place is that I'm stuck dealing with them till my contract is over ?

Awesome staff!!! Service with a smile, which isn’t always the easiest with so many people to get to. Very efficient processing, pleasant people and genuine customer service. I have to go back and see them for another appointment, and I can say that they make feel good about having to go to the dentist.

The last two visits where great, appointment was punctual. I would stay away from booking later appointments in the day, on other occasions we waited over 45 minutes to be called in and still not treated for another 15 minutes. Office tends to overbook, at times there are not enough chairs to sit.

Friendly and professional staff. It's been my 3rd of 4th time ththe, and I have the feeling they know me and remember me each time. On top the doctor is amazing. She is soft and gentle. I have had multiple bad experience before her at other places. I am sticking with her now! Definitely recommending her if you are looking for someone honest who is not trying to sell you things you don't need.

I waited for about 35 minutes after signing in to be called back. When i was called back it was another 30 before the doctor came in. There were several people coming in and out of the room and none of them said anything to me which was awkward. Tooth extraction was fast, doctor seemed ok, but no further instructions were given about after care. I ended up googling everything.

Absolutely the best experience I have had with a children’s dentist!! My daughter had some treatment needed the Dr and staff where amazing they explained everything thoroughly and made my daughter feel so comfortable during the entire procedure! I highly recommend this office for all family’s adults and children! Everything is done in the office! You never have to be referred out for anything! My daughter got her braces from here, after 11 months with them on - saw no improvement just worsening condition. Her gums are always bleeding & swelling & asst's aren't nice with what they do. Paying $128 a month for bad & rude service, Not worth it. Plus the ortho is only open on Tuesdays & if there's a problem all we get is "it's your problem , deal with it". Not happy with this place at all. Got a second opinion somewhere else !

We had an appointment scheduled for the last 6 weeks and on 10/19/18 they called to confirm the appointment for 10/23/18 at 3 pm my daughter hasn’t been eating the whole day , not even in school and then at 15 :35 we where finally called in and then they said we have to set a new appointment for the extraction, witch we were supposed to do today. This is the worst unorganized dental office I’ve ever seen. Don’t recommend it at all!! Specially the Manager Mellisa she is not helping at all, she went in here office-and texted instead of fixing the issue they created. Don’t go there, go somewhere else it’s better

Horrible service. I had an appointment scheduled for 4pm but wasn't seen until 5. The dentist was running late I guess so when she finally saw me it was literally only for 5 minutes. She didn't help me with any of my tooth pain and didn't even give me a teeth cleaning all she said was that we need to reschedule. Absolutely horrible.

Either they teied to scam me or their clerks don't know how to read. They attempted to charge me over 100 dollars per amalgum filling, even though my insurance covers it. I immediatly left to consult my insurance. Upon reading, I confirmed what I though. I am going back there, now that I am armed with the proof, but only because the way my insurance works is I can't use another office for now. I will try to change dentists after the immediate problem in my mouth is solved.

Highly disappointing. Don’t go there. When I called they said $59 for general cleaning. Once inside the facility they came with a list of proposals costing $900 to $1100. When I insisted I just want general cleaning they asked for $119 extra. I lost my $59 because they charged me as soon as I entered. This was a red flag that I should have noticed. If anyone charges you before rendering services, they are going to scam you. I didn’t use my insurance so that was not a copay.

Today was my first time visiting West Coast Dental in Buena Park. I was very pleased with the location of the facility as well as the professional services of all staff from the front office, dental assistant (Angel) and the dentist. The wait time was minimal. They were understanding of my dental concerns and reviewed payment options with me. I will be going back and definitely refer anyone who is looking for a good dentist to visit West Coast Dental.

I saw Dr. Pampaniya for my dental treatment at this location. She was very professional, gave proper advice for my dental problems and treated them well. I did get my teath cleaned and get few fillings on both sides of my jaw. Had a follow up appointment too. Assisting staff and receptionists were nice, accomodating and helpful. Overall I am satisfied with the treatment and would recommend this place.

Worst place ever they extracted a tooth and if u sign their liability papers u are responsible if they crack or damage another tooth that isn't the tooth to extract this happened to me I paid 2000 for a tooth to be done a root canal plus white filing at another spot western dental messed that 2000 dollar tooth just because they have dentist that don't know how to extract teeth and now they expect me to pay for it all over again myself !!!!!NEVER ever !!!!! go here you will be trying to find a lawyer to sue this place like I am today doing

When I called westcoast dental, they told me that in some cases the medical cover would cover bridges and crowns, I told the girl, as far as I know the medical only covers the consultation and the routine cleaning, and she repeated to me, in some cases it does cover them, come to your appointment and here we will see what is covered.... I went to my appointment for a checkup and cleaning, the doctor examined me, and told me that I needed a filling redone, and that I would need a deep cleaning plus a crown, the price was very high, I asked her, what does the medical cover??? and she answers, nothing more than the consultation and the routine cleaning... Yes, I already knew that, I answered, I came because they told me that they could cover a bridge or crown, and she says, no, it doesn't cover that... She told me that at that time she couldn't do the routine cleaning or the filling, that I should make another appointment for those jobs... I told her, the appointment was for the cleaning, the assistant answers me, yes, but the doctor doesn't have time. """ I DO NOT RECOMMEND """ THAT DENTAL OFFICE, AT ALL, APART FROM VERY EXPENSIVE SERVICES, they seem unprofessional to me...... "" 0 STARS ""

I came over to get my fillings done and a week later a whole filling fell out and more have been chipped and falling. i followed the rules, didn't eat for 24 hrs on that side after the process. update - my fillings kept falling out. Made an appointment at another dental office because my molars were in terrible pain and i found out that my fillings were not properly trimmed down (9 spots). Which cause an unbalance on my bite, bruising my tooth nerves and almost causing major damage. I am grateful to have found a better dentist!

The staff was very kind and helpful. The xray tech, I believe her name was Brenda, was amazing and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The hygienists were very helpful and the oral surgeon was faniminal. Highly recommend this office.

The oral surgeon and assistant were so fast and thorough, and made me feel as comfortable as I could be for a wisdom teeth removal. This office as a whole has been mostly great, there was a scheduling mishap with this appointment, however, but luckily they were still able to fit me on the same day and time that I was originally supposed to be scheduled for, so I really appreciated that! My whole family will be coming to this dental office and I definitely recommend them!

So I thought I was only going for a panoramic X-ray and get to schedule an appointment but I ended up with two lower wisdom teeth extracted! Though the whole process was nerve wrecking, the oral surgeon made it very quick and less painful. Great staff and very clean environment. Definitely recommend them. Thank you guys!!

Everyone that has worked on me have been very nice. Since I have a neck problem they always make sure I am comfortable. They understood my view of things and explained things to me when I wasn't sure of there's. The nurses are so incredibly caring they do not treat you as a $sign they treat you with respect. I will never recommend this horrible place completely rip off charged my ensurance 300 hundred for nothing they wanted to give me something I didn't need I told them no so they refused to do my dental work but over all charges of that amount for nothing and the doctor was horrible skills she got very angry for not wanting to do the work she wanted sorry I went there DO NOT GO THERE EVERYONE !!! I had Two teeth removed 2day. The doctor was so unbelievably quick. A total pro. I was so scared and shaking but after he numbed me it was all over. And I felt silly I got so worked up for nothing. Really Great staff, understanding and gentle. I was really scared going but they walk you thru what's going on and very sincere. I totally recommend.

Terrible service, refusal to hear patient out or explain anything, and refused to help. Receptionist is limited on knowledge and will repeat the same thing in an "attempt" to clear things up. For long term patients aka friends I'm sure they have exceptional manners and patience. As a new patient, being talked over when I was confused is beyond disrespectful. This happened with multiple nurses and receptionist.

My wife needed a new lower partial, cleaning, and a crown. Doctor Le, a young and very pleasant young lady accepted her as a patient even though her experience with dentures, as I view in retrospect, may have been quite limited. After paying nearly $3000 and having made many, many trips to the dentist to get the partial to fit, the office finally referred me to their dental lab where the technician was able to finally adjust the denture so my wife could wear it. Unfortunately, the bite was so bad she cannot use her front teeth (incisors) to bite--they don't line up with her upper teeth. The lab then attempted to bill my insurance company! I don't know how much this dental office billed my insurance, but I do know I overpaid in cash - probably double - for what a good job should have cost. The office staff is pleasant and friendly but that doesn't make up for a blotched job and overcharging. I cannot recommend this office - in fact I should probably be sueing for malpractice. For cleaning, or a filling, etc., they may be great but do not attempt any more complicated dental work here.

several months ago I needed an emergency root canal done. I was having an extremely sharp pain and was unable to see my own dentist the next day. I called 1800 dental to make an appointment with any local dentist available the next morning and found this dental group. When I arrived I signed papers and was seen within mins. I sat down and was immediately assisted by the nicest dentist ever, she assured me the pain will subside after she worked on my tooth. And the pain went away. The entire staff at this location is amazing they are always willing to help. Several reviews entail a different story which states they don't pick up the phone or that they make you wait when you have an appointment but that is simply not true and I say this with confidence because I've been in and out of the office constantly. Now the reason I am not giving this company 5/5 stars is because of the fact that the billing aspect of this company is a bit on the high end. I say this because before the dentist is able to perform any dental procedures there is a lady who comes and explains to you your payment options and of all the times if encountered this lady I have felt pressured to sway into procedures I can not afford and feel as though she talks down to me when I don't opt to obtaining said procedures. But besides that aspect this location is great.

This place is a 1 800 Dentist player. DO NOT JEOPARDIZE your oral health by going to this place. They recommend unnecessary procedures as thought they are critical. CAUGHT - unbeknownst to West Coast Dental B.P. I had already sought an opinion from an oral surgeon that a tooth could be saved via Crown. W.C.D. said extraction was only option. W.C.D. wants to extract a a tooth with a broken crown and put in a Bridge instead of repairing the Crown! My mission now in life is to Expose this place for Hack Dentistry it is.

This place is a SCAM! I waited an hour in the front only to wait another hour plus in the dentist chair. I was then told, after being on time for my 3:00 apt. that the dentist was going home and I may reschedule....The most unprofessional dentist and office I have ever experienced. I have stage 3 cancer.I see a lot of doctors and this was the worst ever. To add insult to injury, when I did call to reschedule, I was told I needed a deep cleaning that would cost over $400...This against what CAL OPTIMAL/MEDICAL have told me.BE WARNED AND READ MANY OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON OTHER SITES! I have filed an ethics complaint with CAL OPTIMA and much more formal one with the ADA!!!

Worst dentist office I've been Inn it took 3 months to get an approval for my wisdom teeth to be removed and that's because they never call to verify my insurance and I just called to update my insurance and they said they will call me back never heard from front desk always puts you in hold and never pick up front desk very unprofessional never will I step into this dentist again. They couldn't even give my daughter a check up cause Thier machines wasn't working properly so I just had to change dentist wouldn't recommend this place very unprofessional.

Really bad. They overbook appointments and make you wait for hours. Came in last week and waited 2+ hours. They could only do xrays because it was closing time already. They rescheduled me for today and same story. Waited 2 hours and I couldn't take it anymore. Walked out. Very unprofessional.

This is the second time this dentistry has failed in their guest service. Two years ago I was a regular customer coming every three months. After having an appointment set up for two and a half months, they called me two weeks before the appointment to tell me that they were discontinuing Saturday appointments and were cancelling my appointment. (Yes I know they now have Saturday offerings, but should have honored the original appointment or alerted me earlier than two weeks prior to my appointment.) This week after staying away for so long I decided to give them a second chance. When I called to make the appointment I specifically told them I would need x-rays and a deep cleaning. I arrived today and after performing my x-rays and exam, they then informed me that they did not have a hygienist on staff that day, and would not be able to complete the deep cleaning until another day. What dentist office decides to open for the day without a hygienist!!!

After over 30 years of working in the dental industry, I must say I am very impressed and happy with West Coast Dental. I am a retired dental assistant, and I can’t help but be very picky when it comes to dentists and offices. But every time I got to West Coast Dental, I know that my family and I are in good hands. I recommend the dentists, the facility and the staff. I suggest West Coast Dental if you want a reliable family dentist. I take all of my children and my husband to West Coast Dental to receive our regular cleanings, exams and x-rays. Thankfully, our entire family had good teeth because they know how to brush, floss and we visit the dentist on a regular basis. But if one of us ever needed anything major, it’s good to know that West Coast Dental has the experience and dentists to handle cosmetic surgery and major procedures that would otherwise be outsourced to a different office.

A COMPLETE RIPOFF! Went in for a specific issue for a chipped veneer. At first they were very friendly, and assured me they would help me, with no credit check, so I gave them $40 for a "dental plan". Next thing I know, I'm in a chair getting xrays for issues not even related to what I came in for! Than a "dentist" came in and started prodding at my teeth, and giving me numbers that meant something. It was clearly a show and part of a big sales pitch this high pressure salesperson was giving me. Then the receptionist lady comes back with a $4,000 bill for my new veneer, and a "deep cleaning"! They wanted $500 (75% of the veneer bill). Easy credit huh? LOL When I tried to get my $40 back for the "plan" i was no longer interested in, they refused to give me back my $40. I was furious because I had just paid $40 dollars to get a high pressure sales pitch! Do yourselves a favor, and stay away from these crooks! Or anyone else you happen to find on the internet!

I use to go to Lkwd dental arts I changed my dentist to west coast dental to try them out and I’m glad I did! Dr Linda is awesome she talks to you and explains things to you she’s awesome and she’s giving me my smile back . The staff is so nice and helpful I love the office manager she’s polite and caring. I highly recommend them
