I had a very disappointing experience. The doctor was condescending, and the overall professionalism was lacking. I was referred to a root canal clinic and told they would call me to schedule the appointment for my permanent crown. After two months with no follow-up, I had to take the initiative and schedule the appointment myself for a Saturday at 2:00 PM— the only time that works due to my job. On the day of the appointment, they called me at 8:45 AM and said it needed to be moved to between 9:00 and 9:30 AM because the doctor needed more time. It felt like the doctor just wanted to leave early. I had plans with my family that morning and couldn’t make the change, so they pushed my appointment out nearly a month later. I’m still wearing a temporary crown, and it’s clear they have little regard for patient care. Their priority seems to be money, not people.

Very bad experience sincerely how can they do so much treatment to a 5 year old girl in a single day? My daughter even got a throat infection, fevers and cold because they did too much work on her, however, they do not let them in even with them when they take them to do the process the nurse said we are going to cover her because it is cold, a blanket is put on her but she never said the truth is that they hold them so they cannot even move their arms look how my daughter is even though she is almost 1 week old the girl told me how she got through it and she without being able to speak at all the Doctor did not want to just extract the tooth she said that the whole treatment oh not easy to say but do you know how much trauma they are causing a child so much fear psychological fear all to get money from the insurance! They do not tell you give them t-shirts or medicine for whatever comes next they only do their job and when I spoke to report what my daughter had they sent me to the pediatrician because for them the temperature was not normal to all mothers I recommend you be very careful with these clinics they only serve to get rid of it The money goes to the insurance company and that's it! My daughter's hand is still bruised even though it's been there for more than 15 days and I haven't received any report from you. Seriously, this could get worse.

I had a great experience. When I called in, I was able to get an appointment for the very next day. I recommend leaving a lot of time and bringing something to do as the office was pretty backed up, but the staff were super friendly and the dentist did a great job. They discriminated against my 8 month old baby. I’ve been going to West Coast Dental at another location for 10 years. I recently switched to this location and the first three times I came I took my baby. He’s a very easygoing baby for the most part. Before this time, the last time I took him he was suddenly ill as babies can be unpredictable. He was very fussy and I had to reschedule. This time I brought him I was asked could I have someone come assist with the baby while I do my evaluation. I said yes, my sister is on her way to get him actually. I sat and waited and realized she wouldn’t be here for some time and I was already late for work. I asked them could I just be seen because she won’t be here for a while and they said no because last time he needed to be attended to. I notified them that last time he was sick, and I always bring him. I told them he’s not sick and to see if we could follow through with the appointment they said no it’s Doctors order. Which is already weird because I take him to every appointment with me and if need be, so does my sister. Some extremely old and very wrinkly lady with a short haircut butted in being extremely rude saying my baby had to be accompanied by a parent and he can’t come in because he’s a minor. I told her that I am him parent she went back and forth about the fact that he has to be “accompanied by a parent” and the only reason I even argued back with her because I AM HIS PARENT. I felt like she was stereotyping me because I am an African American woman, because she kept specifying that he needs to be accompanied by a “parent” and not another adult. I asked them to take myself and my daughter off their patient list and immediately found another dentist 5 minutes later. A dentist that is much CLEANER, and not in an area where a store should be. Good luck to those who are patients there and I hope and pray you all get better insurance and are able to find a much better dentist soon.

There’s a reason West Coast Dental has garbage reviews. I showed up on time for my 11am appointment, only to be told I’d need to wait another hour or two. When I asked how many patients they book per hour, they said four. FOUR. Per. Hour. So what’s the point of making an appointment at all? This place doesn’t care about your time- they just cram as many people in as possible to squeeze every dollar, like a cattle call with dental chairs. It’s a shameless money grab, not a professional practice. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

Have had nothing but positive experiences. My needs are always considered and as someone with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and red hair, that is important. We tend to require increased local and general anesthetics and often people don't listen. Dr. Gallad and all the staff are gentle, informative, and patient. The scheduling process has been smooth. Scammers!!! I wouldn’t advise anyone to come here, they made me wait a month for an extraction with oral surgeon, only to tell me I have to go somewhere else. I don’t understand why the receptionist/dentist couldn’t tell me that over the phone. why does it take a month to know if you FEEL like doing the procedure. They scam you to do X-rays and other procedures without completing the task you request. They don’t care about people nor their health only profit. They tried to force me to do other producers that I didn’t ask for , to gain profit instead of doing what’s best for me in the long run. Don’t come here a bunch money hungry liars and scammers .. would be a waste of your time!!

Unfortunately, we had a scheduling snafu when we presented to the dental clinic for service. Instead of the staff saying, "I'm sorry, you need to reschedule," Xiomara took IMMEDIATE steps to rectify the situation. She called a sister-dental location to get us in with their practice, she coordinated with insurance company to get authorization, she followed up with us several hours later to keep us updated on the authorization approval, and she made sure we had all the pertinent documentation for the appointment at the sister-dental location. We did not experience any issues at sister-dental location, everything went smoothly. I appreciate that Xiomara understood the "invisible" aspects associated with a planned/anticipated dental surgery i.e. time off work, mental nervousness/anxiety, coordination of caregiver, coordination of post surgery transportation, etc. and acted accordingly to ensure the dental procedure could take place the following day, albeit at a different location. All of our needs were met.

Three years in braces at West Coast Dental of 6th Street - complete waste of time and money!! I spent over $5,400 on braces, only to end up with unresolved issues including misaligned bite, gaps between teeth, and continuing problems with biting my cheek and tongue. The most frustrating part is they simply told me "that's all they can do" and suggested either getting an implant or extracting three teeth - options that were never discussed in the original treatment plan. A second opinion from reputable orthodontist confirmed that my case would require another 12-18 months of treatment and an additional $5,700 for proper treatment . What's worse is their lack of professionalism in handling complaints. I've sent multiple emails to their grievance department without receiving any response. It's clear they were not capable of handling my case from the start, yet they proceeded with treatment anyway, wasting both my time and money. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money - seek treatment elsewhere. I wish I had known this before committing to three years.

Be careful with this office. They have tried to bill me incorrectly twice, making it look like I owed more than I really did. Be sure to save all receipts and keep track of all payments. While the staff is friendly, it is disappointing to see how they try to take financial advantage of patients. Stay vigilant when dealing with your billing practices.

Don’t trust the reviews. I’ve been here a couple of times for a cleaning that lasts for around 10 min but waited around an hour and thirty minutes to be attended. Staff really takes their time to assist you. The dentists are passive aggressive as well. The experience here was not great at all. If you can find any other dentist place do so.

I have never written a bad review for a business before because I always figure that everyone is trying their best, but these people are not health care professionals they are HUSTLERS. The doctors should honestly be ASHAMED of themselves. I had a bad experience with Tiffany Majdipour and I figured it was a one-off, but went back and saw Dr. Lyou and the same thing happened. They were insisting that I need a “deep cleaning” ($340 out of pocket) and I assumed when they would understand when I told them I could not afford it, and continue with a regular cleaning — which is what I came in for and what I have always gotten with other dentists. (I’m 31, only had 2 or so cavities in my life, no other health issues, etc.) But no they fought me TOOTH AND NAIL even saying ridiculous manipulative things like “we do not diagnose based on price” and then brought in some unbelievably sleazy “patient services” lady (Betty) who accused me of “bullying” the doctor into changing her diagnosis because I would not pay $340 for a check up. Disgusting. Predatory. Probably illegal.

I’ve been coming to this location for some time now and it’s been great. Xiomara in the front desk has been helpful in assisting my family and I. She has been very helpful assisting us with the orthodontist visits. We’re always notified about schedule changes as well as reminded days prior of our appointment. The overall staff has been very helpful and keeps us informed. The doctors here are great too :) The manager is also nice too and I appreciate the care he puts for my father’s dentist visits as well. Overall nice place to visit when you need a dentist.

The worst experience I have ever had in my entire life with any kind of customer service experience. There is one receptionist in particular working at this office that needs to be spoken to about her work behavior. You never speak to a patient the way this person spoke to me. I am extremely scared of the dentist. The dentist and all the employees were all very helpful and very nice to me and did everything to calm me during my experience there. I hesitated to go but I needed to. They did not pressure me into getting something done I didn't need as other places have. They just wanted to help me take care of my pain. I walked in as an emergency and was greeted by the most beautiful front desk lady Xiomara and then after that Yonatan took an x-ray and once I was seated I had the other most beautiful lady come and explain the treatment for me and with the help of the awesome Dr Joobin they were able to do same day treatment and get me out of pain. The dentist Dr.Tiffany is very thorough and listens to your needs and acts accordingly. She did a great job cleaning my teeth!? This place doesn’t even deserve the dignity of one star. Early 2024: I received an email outlining over $600 worth of charges that my insurance allegedly denied, even after we went through extensive process to make sure a routine dental cleaning would be covered. They are charging me for a fluoride rinse that I never even got? And among other things that have not been approved. A complete and utter scam. After being harassed by their staff and denied service, tried to upsell me on other unethical and unnecessary charges, and wasted my time multiple times, I can confidently say this is the worst dental office to ever exist. Do NOT go here. The other reviews are likely all bots. Do NOT trust them. Late November 2023, I go to my appointment scheduled with a provider in my network, and after an hour in the waiting room they tell me that my teeth are too clean and do not need a dental cleaning. They take my xrays and send me on my way. Not before the person doing my consultation tries to harass me into another procedure not covered by insurance, an antibacterial rinse that I refused. They gave no reason why this rinse would be required, they just offered it and I picked it out of the line of fire before they could charge me extra. Any procedure they did was supposed to be covered by insurance. They didn’t even do anything to my teeth they just swiped a little bit with the drill for about 20 seconds and sent me on my way. During this, the technician used me as a therapist and told me all about his marital problems at home, and called me beautiful and told me something along the lines of he would love to see my smile everyday. Update Early November 2023: I’ve had two other experiences with this office. In August 2023 I had scheduled an appointment which they called to cancel and they moved me up from a Monday to the previous Friday. I go to my appointment and wait for one hour in the waiting room. After one hour they tell me that it was 2 days too early, and that I couldn’t be seen until my original appointment date, which was no longer available for a dental cleaning. November 2023 rolls around and they have been calling me to get another dental cleaning. Tired of the voicemails, I make a new appointment. I was in the waiting room for one hour and they inform me that the doctor that is in network with my insurance doesn’t work the day I went in. So another hour wasted where I wasnt able to be seen. I had to reschedule another appointment. My experience at the next appointment was horrendous. I lament ever having step foot in this dental office. Early 2023: My appointment took 2.5 hours from start to finish and it was just a normal dental cleaning. The staff were just overwhelmed and busy when I went. Seems like they overbook their schedule. They also weren’t able to get approval from the insurance for anything but a normal cleaning.

First off I went in and they tried to small talk with me as I was doing my X-ray. Sat in chair and they came back with $900 in fees for additional service and tried to persuade me to pay even though I told them no I was not paying that amount. Once I told them NO the lady had a attitude! They cleaned my teeth so fast I took the mirror and saw lots of build up STILL on my teeth. I asked them are they finished they said yes. I told them no I still have build up and they are not clean. When I tried to explain that to her she asked me do I want to leave. I then said NO I want my teeth cleaned so she started cleaning and being really rough. Once done she says take mirror and check to see if I need to do any more. After that I was done with the service I told her she was rude and that’s not how you talk to people. And she says well I didn’t understand what you meant that’s why I said do you want to leave. HUH!!!!! I then went to the front desk asked for the manager and they tell me she is not in. I asked for her business card with her name and they gave me her first name. Does she have a last name? No we don’t know her last name HUH!!!!!! So I just walked out!!!!!

Outrageous. I was referred there for oral surgery. Bad news from entrance to exit. They couldn't find my appointment even though they called to confirm it the day before and I had filled out all the paperwork via text. My appointment was at 11am and I was finally called back at 1230. After an X-ray I was put in the chair and the doctor came up and looked at my X-ray and asks about my health and I disclose my HIV+ status (which I had also done on my paperwork) and then he asks me"how come they didn't pull this at your dentist office?" "I don't know, that's why I'm here". He walked away without another word. Just left me there. Someone else came up and said "we won't be able to help you today. We don't do that kind of work" and escorted me to the door. I believe they discriminated against me due to my HIV status.

Horrible place. Do not come here….this is the second time I’m coming in and they refuse to do a cleaning. After the first visit, I wanted to give them a second chance but I just waisted another 2 hours of my day. I would give them -5 starts if possible 1. Six months ago when I went in for the check up and cleaning, they refused to do a cleaning because “I didn’t need one” based on the dentist that saw me 2. Now, they are saying I need a deep cleaning? Full review. Worst experience. Not to sound biased but most of the people don't seem professional or have some knowledge as to what they were supposed to do. The biggest mistake was to give a client the MOST strongest numb shot without letting the client know what is in it. It took me some time to catch my breath. Another, the filling of my tooth was not properly secured; my filling lasted only a month or less. Lastly, they don't seem to know how to CANCEL my DENTAL PLAN or seem to understand as I've told them repeatedly three times. As of now, I'm still being charged by them even though I did NOT want to attend the appointment or continue with the dental plan process. This is not okay.

Had a full bony wisdom tooth removal and my first ever deep cleaning here. Nice big office, the dentist, surgeon (Michael), hygenist (Melissa), and the reception (Xiomara) were all very good. My previous dentist wasn't bad but he was a solo job so big places like this was a very welcome change. Access to a parking lot in LA is also a big factor. Highly recommended whether you're here for yourself or your kids. Also you can stop by he chinese place next door when you're done.

Both times I have had an appointment here I had to wait over half an hour past my appointment time to see the dentist. Today I had an appointment scheduled and an hour after waiting was told they couldn’t continue the appointment because it had been less than 6 months since the last one, meanwhile they were the ones who called me asking me to schedule it. Update* I needed my wisdom teeth removed, so the office requested I get a CT capture. The day before the appointment for the wisdom teeth removal, the office called to tell me the procedure wasn't covered by my insurance, although they had previously said it was. Aside from the expensive CT capture, it takes considerable effort to schedule a day off of work and prep for oral surgery, which was completely wasted. I requested they cancel my appointment, but still received a notice the next day stating I missed my appointment. Months later I went in for routine cleaning and despite having an appointment, I didn't see the doctor until an hour later. I spent 2 hours in the office for a routine cleaning. During this cleaning, a cavity concern arose and the doctor emphasized I needed a special filling. The special filling was estimated to cost $700 (with insurance). I denied the service and have then switched to different dental office. The new dental office did not suggest a special filling and I was only quoted $70 (with insurance) for the filling. This is sufficient to convince me that this office is purposely upselling unnecessary services. It is extremely disappointing to learn this office is taking advantage of the community. If you cannot avoid this office, I recommend questioning every service offered, as they have proved to be untrustworthy.

I made an appointment for my 4-year old in preparation for her first day of school this fall. It was on yesterday at 1pm, and I made it clear to the caller it was her first time at the dentist. We checked in and the receptionist said there was a longer wait because some staff went to lunch. I figured they be back in 30 minutes since the waiting room was completely full. We ended up waiting for 2 hours! My 4-year old was bored and restless and wanted to go home. I kept telling her this needs to get done. At 3:10pm I approached another receptionist and told her how long we were waiting, and even asked if we should reschedule, she showed some empathy and checked where we were at in the list. She said she would be next. About 5 minutes later, my daughter's name was called. The dental assistant did not show any tactic to console or convince to try to sit on the seat so that her x-rays could be taken. So, she ended up not getting x-rays and we went to one of the examination rooms. My daughter was crying, scared, kicking and screaming. In comes the dentist and my daughter freaks out. After a couple of attempts to calm her down, the dentist then says maybe we should schedule her with a pediatric dentist. I immediately was upset. What do you mean? Are you not specialized in pediatrics? Why then are you in this exam room? She said it was protocol. General dentist take a look and then based on what they see would refer the patient to the pediatrics. She had no business even stepping in. I told the dentist I specifically told this office it was her first time and that she was 4-years old. I was so livid I got our things and stormed out. I wish they would pay more attention to the details, especially if it's a new patient and a kid. If you have children, my suggestion is to make sure you make an appointment with a pediatics dentist, regardless where you go.

Then I met Dr Tiffany who explained all procedures & options to me & she was so kind & beautiful as well. Next I met John. He explained the pricing with me & found me an oral surgeon quickly. He was so very kind, professional & handsome. Then I met Andy. I was super impressed with him, how gentle & caring He was. He was able to get my impressions taken in just a few minutes. Everyone was just amazing! I would highly recommend this dental office.

This office is so unprofessional, no one in the office knows what they’re doing. I needed a referral to an oral surgeon and when I called no one in the office knew who did the referrals. I spoke the “office manager John” and supposedly he took care of the issue and made me an appointment with the oral surgeon and said he had submitted my referral. On the day of my oral surgery appointment I got to the office and was told that there was no referral the office manager never submitted the referral. I do not recommend this office to anyone they waste your time and they don’t get their work done. If I could give this office 0 stars I would. I am changing to a different dental office.

I will get straight the the point. My appointment time was an hour before I finally got called in. The person taking x-rays did not appear to know what they were doing and seemed disgruntled by the slightest inconvenience with the computer. After waiting for almost another hour in a room, the dentist came in to try and sell veneers for $1200 each! That is ridiculous! Especially at a shady dental office such as this one. They then proceeded to tell me I needed irrigation for my gums and that was almost $300! I said no thanks.. Nearly 3 hours after my scheduled appointment and multiple visits from different assistants, I FINALLY received a poorly executed 'cleaning.' After the 2 minutes of cleaning I went to check out and the receptionist apologized stating they were working with new systems. They proceeded to try and casually charge me for the irrigation service I refused. What a complete waste of time. There was more staff there than patients. I even overheard one assistant telling another that a patient was waiting 4 hours because they screwed up and requested to move them up. The other assistant said no can do, mind you they were having this conversation in the room I was in. This place is extremely unprofessional, doesn't look clean, and the staff seems like they barely scraped by vocational school with no good work ethic. I don't write many 1 star reviews, but this was definitely worth mentioning. Do better! I'm glad they did not schedule me for a check-up because I will surely NOT be going back.

i had appointment for 1pm because one of my fillings broke off and left a sensitive cavity on my tooth . got in 1245 did paperwork then xray by 130pm after xrays didnt see the doctor rill 230for a check up. waited for the billing lady and doctor for almost an hour then long wait times unclear what services was going to be done and a 30 min proceedure became almost 2 hours mind you my appointment was at 1pm and i finished at 430 for a check up and deep cleaning unbelievable wait times in between. xray staff was nice doctor was very agressive and semmed rushed will not go back anytime soon

BEWARE - I made an a appointment for a routine dental cleaning, which is covered by my insurance. Through what can only be described as misleading practices, I unknowingly and without my informed consent was instead given some deep-root cleaning procedure I would have never agreed to and am now our several hundred dollars. They cannot rectify this because I “signed a form” - which I was 100% under the impression was for a routine cleaning. I would highly recommend people steer clear of this practice.

Can’t imagine a worse dental office. Was in pain for two months after a simple filling, waited two hours before the dentist saw me nearly every time I had an appointment, and I’ve been trying for two months to get my dental records and X-rays so I can transfer to a new dentist. They made me pay $25 for the report, refused to send digitally, claiming it’s against their policy, even tho it’s common practice, and they now claim it has been misplaced. I’ve tried calling for two weeks straight, only to get a desk clerk claiming a manager will follow up with me, which has yet to happen. This is the only reason why I’ve decided it’s worth sharing how awful this place is. Go anywhere else.

Front desk ladies were super sweet. X-tech was also kind. My issue was after seeing the dentist she stated I needed gum irrigation. They had me wait for a rep from billing and she stated that this service was out of pocket $150 and she stated it was very important. I asked if it’s that important why will my insurance not cover it? She seemed very confused so I called my insurance. My insurance company had so many questions and Angie the billing rep refused to talk to insurance stating she was with another customer. I had to speak with office manager to have her speak with my insurance company through my phone on speaker. They are using incorrect codes that are not covered by American Dental Association and my insurance explained to them I am covered they have to use the correct code they refused and unfortunately I was not able to receive the proper service. Looking for another dental office as we speak. If I knew how poorly HMO insurance customers get treated I would have changed to PPO when open enrollment was offered. I feel so helpless and defeated. Such a sad situation! To make matters worst I had to wait for an hour for my cleaning and I felt they rushed it. They polished my teeth before the cleaning and never used any equipment besides water to do my cleaning. I honestly don’t trust I had a through cleaning. I was never flossed which has never happened in all the years I’ve had a cleaning. My insurance company was in shocked when she heard Angie state we will not bill that code because we will not gain any money from that service. They filled a major complaint. I pray this scam of there’s stop. Provide care that is needed and use appropriate codes so patients are not spending their money on services that they are covered for.

Really great dentistry. The place is very clean and parking very easy. Now there is a new dentist, Dr. Tiffany, she is so good. I had to have extensive work done. They referred me out, then followed up. Now I have had teeth removed before, but she was amazing. I didn't barely have any of the problems like before, she did it so well. Am a returning patient who will come back. The staff is really caring. They also made it financially easy to get dental work done. So professional, this is really the best.

Do not take your child! Never allow your child to be treated without your presence in the room. When I was a first time parent I allowed this. I regret it to this day. My child had painful, unnecessary, and super expensive procedures. I felt their interest is profit and not the well-being of their patients. When I took my child to a different dentist I explained that my child had 12 cavities that were treated here and he asked for medical records because he didn't find evidence of that. The medical records only showed 3 cavitities but we were charged for a lot more. Nothing is worse than the trauma my son experienced.

I had a great experience returning to the facility, I came to ask for information as I was unhappy with previous work done elsewhere and Betty was so amazing and positive from the start, she walked me through everything and answered all of my questions and was able to schedule me for the very next day. I went in two days ago to have a tooth pulled.After numbing me up they s pulled on it and when I screamed they stopped and said the infection was causing the pain so here's a script for Motrin and antibiotics. Refused to prescribe anything stronger and claimed they didn't. Also tried to sell me on a bone graph which sounds real familiar. Never going back, changing dentists today. They take too long. They schedule you at a certain time and they show you after an hour and a half and another 2 hours in the room. Sometimes they cancel you for some excuse. There is no professionalism on the part of this clinic. And the times I come I have seen how people complain about the same thing. Choose another one. This place is HORRIBLE. I wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy. They are constantly changing prices and trying to upsell without focusing on the patients needs. I was a loyal patient for 3 years but I could NO LONGER take the blatant racism. They would call multiple times daily asking about upcoming visits I never scheduled. They are extremely unorganized. I received random balances which I questioned every time. Y'all need to let patients know if they owe anything BEFORE leaving. Telling them on the next visit that insurance didn't cover a cleaning (which is a flat out lie) is inconvenient and stressful. I used one of the credit cards that the fat financial woman assisted me with while applying. All of a sudden there was no memory of assisting me and basically called me a liar. I've actually spoken to my lawyer and I will be suing. AVOID THIS RACIST PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

The front desk girls were super nice but I feel like you guys push unnecessary uncovered services. (Some kind of irrigation for $150) Your dentist just went through a spiel. Didn’t listen, didn’t ask questions. I’ve never had my polishing before the scraping/cleaning… seemed kind of odd. All in all probably one of my worst dental check up experiences. Not to mention the first time I was there I was never seen for my 1 o’clock appointment as I had to go back to work after waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half… You guys were my first dental experience after moving from the westside and starting a new job. Definitely will continue my hunt for a new dentist in the city or maybe drive back to Culver City for my old one. Pay attention to the reviews they all say the same thing. Buyer beware

My appointment was at 9:30am I did not get seen until 12:30pm. And the dentist is money hungry and told me he can't take my tooth out unless I get a bone graph which was $650. Just had my first experience with this office. Very clean and friendly with top of the line equipment. Long wait time in the waiting room followed by xrays then another hour in the dentist chair while overhearing assistants yelling that they need open rooms. TV in both rooms made it more bearable. Then the doctor came in saying I needed 8 root canals and lazer treatment then veneers for my front teeth which had a filling fall out. Now I know I needed alot of work, always having weak teeth I'v had a good feel for any damage and by my judgement theres a good chance I need 1 root canal and 7 cavities taken care of. So not trusting the recommended treatment and not bring covered for most of the work I went for a second opinion. 2nd location I waited less then half the time so a good start. There they recommended 11 cavities be treated and there were 4 possible root canals because they were close. Veneers were suggested as an optional treatment for aesthetics. So basically completely different. Unfortunately I'm not covered by them so I'll have to find a 3 option. Summary: Clean/friendly Long wait Most expensive but possibly the best long term treatment is strongly suggested.

My Ortho appointment was schedule for 11:30am. It is currently 2:10pm I’ve been waiting for 3 hours to be seen and I’m still waiting! This is unexceptionable to assume that people have 3 to 4 hours out of their lives to wait around. It defeats the purpose of having an appointment and is extremely inconsiderate. Please work on your scheduling I can’t stress enough the level of inconvenience this is to paying customers.

I am a little old lady that has trouble getting around. I made the appointment and was told I had to wait for my insurance to approve my dentures. Why wasn't it done before that? Why so many appointments?

1. I waited more than 40 minutes to see a dentist. 2. The doctor said I need 800$ perio protect which I don't need it, I googled this product online, the medicine cost 25$. Obviously they are upselling me the product I don't need. I feel being scammed by the dentist. 3. I see dentist regularly. I did my teeth cleaning just 4 months ago. The doctor said I need a deep cleaning. The doctor spent 8 minutes on deep cleaning for one side of the teeth. I have been to other dentists before. The regular cleaning usually take 30 minutes to finish, don't mention deep cleaning. The doctor cleaned my teeth so fast that I had to check my phone for the time. I was so shocked when the doctor told me that she finished deep cleaning of my teeth. I suggest everyone who had similar experience like this report to Dental board and Medicaid.

The front desk staff, x-ray tech and the tech that cleaned my teeth were all fantastic. The dentist, himself, was fine but was only with me for about 5 minutes, literally, and of course tried to sell me on braces. The rate at which dentists in Los Angeles push braces (for that Hollywood smile) is obscene considering most people don’t need them for anything aside from aesthetic. If one’s teeth need to moved to change wear patterns, improve jaw health, bite placement or the ability to keep teeth clean then, of course. But, more often than not it’s solely for financial gain and as difficult to afford as braces are for many people, that’s not cool. Just beware of that. Again, nearly every dentist I’ve been to has tried this so it’s not just this place, and besides that the experience was good. Regarding the office, it was clean and everyone was friendly and attentive which I appreciated. I also felt comfortable asking questions to the techs which is important. PS. I’ve already had aligners and went to one dentist that couldn’t believe how healthy and straight my teeth are at nearly 40 (and that’s how I know I don’t need braces).

For starters this dental location is great for many reasons, the dentist at this location is very receptive to his clients and made sure I was comfortable, and made sure I was not in pain while working on me. Secondly, it was a breath of fresh air to have a case coordinator in particular named Andrea who made the process so much more smooth. I highly appreciate the time she took to explain what the treatment plan was and what steps I needed to take and the most cost effective route and priority. I have never had ANYONE take the time to ever explain such to me, it was usually just what needs to be done and the price.. It makes a huge difference to be educated in what needs to be done, what the client can afford, how to break up the plan and what to plan ahead. 10/10 recommend

I got a good feeling when I saw the pictures online… the feeling was reinforced when I walked in and saw the positive attitude the staff displayed. They where short staffed & efficiently took care of business. I paid attention to the clientele in the waiting area. I had a good feeling even though I was in pain. I was called up and was happy with the consultation. I then booked a date to see the oral surgeon. I returned and had 3 extractions. I felt that I was in good hands. I felt the respect & chain of command within the team. I will follow up and get crowns in 4 months. I look forward to visiting this office on 6th street near downtown Los Angeles.

NEVER COMING BACK! I'm not one to write reviews but the service at this clinic was just awful I feel its my duty to warn anyone considering coming here. I came to this location due to my insurance being accepted here. I only wanted an examination for my wisdom teeth which need extraction and a regular cleaning because little do they know I had recently already had an extensive dental check up at another location, so I knew my teeth are in good condition. From the moment I arrived it was clear they did not care for my concerns and only wanted to receive money. I was was told by the finance staff member, and not the dentist herself, that I would have to get bone grafts after my wisdom teeth extractions even though there's no need for them but because each cost $450 and would have rounded my $200 extraction to about $1000, well of course more money I would have to pay , then according to them I need them. MIND YOU they offered to get all the procedures done same day I was there (plus an unnecessary filling for $250 not covered by insurance) but I told them I couldn't stay due to work. So when I was leaving they wouldn't even schedule me in for my wisdom teeth extraction which was the whole reason I had gone there. The dental cleaning I received (which was covered by my insurance) was only 10 minutes long and the only thing the dental hygienist did was floss, apply the cleaning solution and some "medicine" (which again I had to pay $150 since my insurance didn't cover it) and didn't even do any of the scraping part to remove tar in my teeth. I've been to other dentist that have done basic cleaning that lasted longer than 10 minutes and at least checked all my teeth. I'm a young adult female that came alone so they clearly saw me as an easy target to just pile on all these extra procedures with out of pocket costs and didn't even bother to listen to my single request of scheduling my wisdom teeth extraction (but momma didn't raise no dummy and declined the other procedures). It's disgusting that patients can no longer trust health facilities to feel safe and in morally conscious professional hands. Its clear that this place is just looking to take as much money out their patients (or insurances) as possible. LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELVES AND REMEMBER YOU CAN ALWAYS DENY A PROCEDURE IF YOU ARE NOT CERTAIN OF IT! SERVICIO TERIBLE! Lo unico que este dentista quiere es robarle el dinero a sus pacientes. Esten alertos de los procedimientos que el dentista les dice que "necessitan" hacer por que la triste verdad es que nadamas quieren sacarle el dinero al paciente. No confien en nadamas una opinion de un dentista si piensan que son muchos procedimentos o muy carros no los accepten y vallan a otro dentista para recivir una segunda opinion. Este lugar esta buscando a personas que puedan ser facilmente manipulados a aceptar cualquier tratamiento que les ofrescan para agarra dinero. Esten atentos y no accepten la primara opinion de un doctor/dentista. De preferencia no vengan a este dentista.

I’ve worked in customer and consumer service for over 10years so I know the importance of making customers and patience feel heard and respected. I called their office after a previous worker scheduled me for the wrong time (no biggie. It’s an honest mistake) but the person I spoke with (Betty) continuously cut me off while I was talking. I asked her nicely “can I please explain this to you because the last person was confused as well” AND SHE CUT ME OFF AGAIN. I then tried to proceed to explain to her my circumstances and she continued to cut me off over and over and over. By this point I’m quite upset and aggravated as I am 35 weeks pregnant and my patience has run thin. I asked to speak to someone else and she told me there was nobody else. I asked to speak to her supervisor and won’t you believe she cut me off AGAIN to tell me the supervisor wasn’t in. (All the while she kept a calm voice as to make it seem like I was overreacting) I did not get my issue resolved, I ended up hanging up and calling the call center where their service was polite and empathetic. The call center representative fixed my issue IN LESS THAN 1 MINUTE. See how easy it could’ve been had my problem been listened to…

After charging my credit card $750 I was told that dentist was busy and unable to perform the procedure I had already paid for… At first I was told to wait 2-3 hours. Then, I was told I must reschedule. I work 6 days a week so “rescheduling” isn’t a simple option for me. I spent 2 hours in the doctors office and wasn’t even able to get a simple teeth cleaning. This was A complete waste of my time. The facilities are neat/ clean and staff is friendly however, clearly not very efficient. Will not be returning.

I don't know if I've ever had a totally positive, error-free experience here, and not just because it's dentistry. Twice I have come and sat for an hour+ and been told there's not time to see me, I recently came in for a bridge and the receptionist was confused that I had been booked for a cleaning, I spend twenty minutes getting x-rays and the next visit they can't find them....it keeps you on your toes. I don't feel like I can 100% trust anything that happens here, which is a bad feeling.

I had three appointments all my appointments I had to wait an hour to be seen once I was since I had been sitting in the dentist chair for almost another hour. All the workers walk by you like they don’t see you. All the front seat workers are really rude and act like there stuck up. I gave them almost 3000 dollars to work on my teeth an they were never even fixed, so I had got a refund because , and still haven’t received any refund and it’s been 30 days and they still don’t know why it hasn’t gone through. This is a sad place please don’t come here. The manager isn’t even fit to manage.

Totally disorganized office with insanely long wait times. You'll arrive on time, then wait an hour while the dentist frees up. They went back and forth with me for an entire month about a root canal I needed to schedule. Every call would end with them saying they'd have their manager call me back in a few hours. Then they wouldn't call. It was just a tactic to get me off the phone. And no, I'm not a crazy person who was calling them every few minutes - I waited patiently 2-3 days each time. After waiting so long that the root canal became an emergency, and after getting emergency authorization from my insurance, they finally scheduled the appointment after ASSURING me everything was taken care of and the procedure was covered. Then they called me an hour before the appointment saying "nevermind, I guess it's NOT covered, sorry!". Too bad I had cancelled a trip up north where I could have seen a competent endodontist.

The wait time was a fraction of that at western dental and the dentist was more experienced. I went in having been told I didn’t have any decay and it was just “stains”. The dentist let me know it was not and it needed to be taken care of. I was able to get a cleaning the same day and schedule for my fillings. The front staff were very kind and helpful. So great time management, expertise, and overall customer service. I have to say I left very satisfied with my experience and services. I’m glad I chose this place for my new dentist. Only down side is my appointment started 30 minutes later than scheduled(which is bette than the 3 hours I was waiting at WD).

Because I can't eat solid food without being in excruciating pain. Due to them giving me nothing but the run a rounds. Update: I just confirmed with my insurance company that my deep cleaning was covered. The West Coast Dental office manager tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for a service that would have been at no cost. I will be filing a complaint with the Dental Board. Absolutely horrible business and not recommended. They denied me my yearly cleaning covered by insurance and tried to get me to pay extra for a deep cleaning. Unprofessional and disorganized. I had to wait over 2 hours for them to price gouge and sell me additional services.

Very disappointed with these people. Receptionist very nice and polite, but the person who handles insurance claims are really bad and such lair. I went 3 months ago for the first time and was told that they were going to check with my insurance company and let me know what was covered. After calling them several times to find out if the insurance responded, they finally asked me to go today (after at least 5 calls and 3 months later). They made me go just to let me know that they didn’t have a contract with my insurance company and were pushing me to pay out of pocket. Such a waste of my time, 3 months waiting for nothing. Right after I left I called my insurance company directly and was told that the office didn’t submit any request until 1 week ago, all those times I called to ask if my insurance responded they lied to me by telling that they were waiting for a response when in reality they never submitted a request. Changed to a different dentist already.

I wouldn’t recommend this dentist to anyone the ladies at the front desk are unprofessional, I got my wisdom teeth removed today and the lady that was removing my teeth out was in rush saying to me “DO YOU WANT TO GET THIS DONE TODAY OR WHAT” like what kind of dentist doctor says that to the patients so rude and she didn’t even explain how the procedure was going to be like they just don’t EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO YOU even though in the papers it says they are but THEY DONT! Once I got out the ladies at the front desk were giggling and looking at me like what kind of dentist is this isn’t a dentist supposed to make you feel comfortable and be kind this dentist is the opposite seems like they don’t know what they are doing and the guy that works there just flirts with the girls at the front like bruh.

Do not go here. Don not waist your time at this west coast dental. If I could give it zero stars I would. I don't want to get in to details but I will say please check with your insurance in regards to what can be covered through them. PLEASE DO NOT PAY UPFRONT OR OPEN ANY LOANS OR CREIDT CARDS before get referrals sent to insurance company. Your insurance company will either approve or deny treatments and sometimes suggest alternative treatments that can be covered through insurance. If after all this you still have to pay out of pocket then work out a payment plan or look in to opening loans/ credit card. I felt coerced to pay upfront when in reality I had the option to submit referrals to my insurance company and wait for them to deny or approve request. so please don't waist your time here. they do not give the correct information to customers and they will not inform you that u can submit referrals to insurance company. I felt like I was fooled and robed by this company. when I asked what are my options and what will my insurance cover, I was told because he works with insurance company's so often he knows what is covered. so basically my treatments wouldn't be covered by my insurance company except the deep cleaning... when I reached home after being in this office close to 4 hours, I decide to call my insurance company because It just didn't feel right that I payed upfront WITHOUT having had any work done. I got the codes from west coast dental so that my insurance company could check my potential coverage of treatments. TO my shock my insurance company told me that the majority of the treatments would most likely be covered. I was also informed that one of treatments that wasn't covered had an alternative that could potentially be covered. TO put the cherry on top, I was told by insurance that the dental office had to submit referrals for approval of treatments. I was so shocked and all I could think was how many people have been scammed by this company.

honestly - they are just getting 3 stars because of the wait time in-between everything. i understand i was a new patient and had to get extra things done during my appt but i was there for 3.5 hrs when it could've been 1.5 - 2 hrs (which they had stated it usually is). Overall, front desk and hygienist were nice.

I was referred here By The receptionist Trinity R. Boy can I say they treated me well from the moment I entered the facility to the moment I exited. Was greeted with kindness , and joy. I really loved the environment from the following covid guidelines, all the way to the just conversation. Loved how clean they were. Dr. Shafa was really adequate with how my procedure would go , and treated me well. Along with his assistant delmy which was really nice , and new how to keep me calm. Mark was the guy that did my temporary feelings ,and he did a great job. Also explained what , and how to go about what to eat , and what not to do. I believe the person in charge of my paperwork, was Keith. He made sure I understood all my charges, and made me feel knowledgeable about such things , instead of keeping me in the dark about things. Trinity was very professional , and made the room feel Live. I will forsure be returning for further services. Everyone there seems like they know what they are doing to top it off. I'm leaving a review which I rarely do. But giving you heads up what your are going to expect. Is your judgement and your choice. I'm not posting to down grade anyone. But I think Dr and dentist need to know is not just supermarket selling produce. Run their business correctly and see as patient not as money making materials. I had this felling in here. If you have medical Ins. they will not look at it at all. I had Delta dental HMO if you do gotta be careful they will take every advantage to empty your pocket. They will not help at all the safe some money is the opposite. They will pick materials that the insurance won't cover. There are pros and cons take really seriously. I didn't like the fact treatments are my choice and shouldn't be pushed around. If a patient wants to skip unnecessary procecedures should be granted and respected in my opinion. Not most of the case here. Pros They have in house loans and others. The Dr skill is good extraction, crowns which I did. Cons You will end pay much more and have piles of loans and bills. Unclear estimate always variable. Overbooking when I go, it takes 4 hours Dr hopping room to room. Some prices are higher then other dentist They always push you to choose expensive materials If you don't they refuse the treatment. 1 Expl of my procedures: They lure you with low cost adds but they always add some expensive proceedure before hand and the Dr. will say to you I can't proceed further, unless you don't do deep cleaning! I refused bc he said it's fine. So decided to skip bc is medically was fine. The day of my appointment of my teeth whitening they changed again saying need deep cleaning again. Otherwise won't do it (contrast of Interest). It was very unprofessional keep pushing land made me wait 1 hour) By the way it was $299 and deep cleaning with the insurance copay is $400??? Same day, I went to DENTIST called Dental PRO, they told me in my case I don't need deep cleaning lol was mind blowing ? and I did for only for $99. Can you believe this??? It was my first time with Deltal Pro. $600 vs $99. THIS WHAT I have saved $500 This is just one example. Insurance HMO is just luring mechanism for them. Be aware~ hope this help many of you. Also, hope this review will change West Coast Detal strategies please change your business mind set otherwise you will loose many patients. It is sad to see how some dentist's are turning now days. Please be aware patient's aren't stupid. Now we have power of reviews and to speak out~

Not a very good experience. First, I had my mouth worked on by someone clearly still in training and had trouble doing X-rays of my mouth. Second, the entire time I was in the chair I was harassed and inundated with upselling tactics to make me spend more money, with no regard to what I actually scheduled my appt. for: routine teeth cleaning. Third, the employee taking care of finance/insurance took my card for a co-pay while I was in the chair getting work done and never came back to return it to me. It wasn’t until after I had been checked out at the front desk and ASKED for my card back that he actually returned it to me. Seven days later, my account was hacked and drained. Beware.

Had high hope for this place, but got catfished. Over the phone the receptionist were very nice, personable, and professional but in person they had no patients, were over whelmed and were unprofessional. Everything seem passable up until the dental exam but when I was seen by the doctor it was so rushed didn’t bother looking at the rest of the mouth just said open wide and yup! This is what you need then walked away and was told to wait for their finance person for my options on my procedures, as I’m waiting there in pain I can hear the employees talking about taking shots, after their celebration shots the finance advisor walks in to tell me my option which are ridiculous in price and gives me a prescription which I’m allergic too after stating many times I’m allergic to that kind of antibiotic so I repeat myself again and he brings me a new prescription and my weird and regrettable experience comes to an end.

The visit was awesome sometimes and bad at times. The waiting time... sometimes i waited 2 hours. Some of the doctors were not careful handling patients they were careless and no care with talking to patients and interacting with them especially the young ones which they look they just graduated. Dr. Ali & his team were great! I was very hesitant because of the neighborhood the office is in. But they were all very attentive and treated me like they wanted my business and appreciated my business. No one was inattentive at any time during my service. The visit was timely, I waited maybe 10 minutes before I was called back. The clinic was very clean & social distancing protocols were adhered to. Dr. Ali was so personable and explained I detail what he was doing & made sure I was comforted at all times. The hygienist, office staff delivered excellent service. Based on my first visit with them I would definitely recommend and think of this office as a hidden gem in the city of Angels

FRAUD ALERT!! My husband and I provided the dental company with my insurance information and we were both charged out of pocket fees. I was charged $755 and my husband was charged $400. I immediately called my insurance company and they told me I was only suppose to pay $260 for the inlay (which was never done because we we moved out of town two days later and couldn't come back). My husband was only suppose to pay $160 and he is still getting billed for work that was not finished. I have been trying to get my money back and have only been able to get $375 back. This company is fraud and has been taking advantage of their customers for who knows how long now.

Dentist and receptionists were nice but whoever is in charge of submitting insurance claims is just a MESS. I forgot her name but she’s a woman. She’s never in the office. She doesn’t even know what she’s doing. Even my own insurance called me twice telling me she was submitting the wrong codes. I gave up trying to talk to her and I just moved to another dentist office. My whole process going back and forth with her and the insurance was around 6 months and I got nothing done. I hope this review help you to save some time. Update: I just went to my new dentist today and I actually didn’t need any of the stuff they told me I needed at this place which was a $4000 bill approximately. I only needed a deep cleaning and it was approved by my insurance on the SAME day. I definitely do NOT recommend going to West Coast Dental. Save your time and money.

This is the most unprofessional dentist office I’ve ever been to. They canceled my appointment made 2 weeks in advance to have me come in the day before to have a “procedure” done that would have me out of work all day and i sat in the lobby for 3 hours when they told me to come in ASAP ! With still no response from the doctor. And then i left Because this is a waste of time and They call me at 6 when they are closed to reschedule the appointment for the day it was supposed to be. Screw everyone that works here but especially the doctors. They are all low budget and have terrible people skills and no organization. Dr Lefokof is fantastic!!!! This place is wonderful The assistants are also very knowledgeable!!! Recently I had services done and honestly they were soo great I couldn't even feel anything! The entire staff is very friendly. Also for those on a budget they are very very helpful with working with you on payments. The manager is very nice and really really helpful. Clean clean environment too!!!!!! Truly am soo greatful to have found them!!!!

An absolute waste of time! I had an appointment for 4pm and left the building at 6:20 pm with ONLY my xrays taken, a 5 minute glance from the dentist and ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER SERVICE. I spent 2 HOURS and more here just to be told to make another appt for treatment. Now where is the scheduling efficiency? This is a great disappointment and not to mention during this risk of a pandemic, there absolutely no regard for the patients time or safety because I really just sat there exposing myself to higher risks. The front desk staff showed hardly any acknowledgement upon arriving as well. The ONLY reason I give one star is because of the nice dental assistant with gelled-back black hair who took my xrays. He was the only one to check in on me and show sincere care, shout outs to you! I wish your fellow staff was more attentive and nice like you. After wasting 2 hours here and told to make a new appointment, I got no apology nor was it acknowledged that they really just played my time. Finding great dental service has been hard and this Western Coast Dental location was just a huge waste of time. I don't recommend unless you have the time of day and don't mind poor service.

Outside of the kind reception, I had a terrible experience here. Everyone felt rushed, and dentists were literally tripping over each other in my room. One hygenist dropped a mouth guard on the ground in front of me and put it back in the drawer without cleaning it. After almost an hour wait I got to talk with a dentist who looked in my mouth for all of 30 seconds before recommending a 1300$ treatment and no explaination, then left never to be seen again. I was rushed to payment where I learned there were parts of the expensive treatment I hadn't been told about included in my bill. No one could explain it. I opted to get a second opinon before paying and was promptly dismissed. After writing a negative review on a survey they sent me, I was contacted by someone on their HR team, only to be called a liar for my survey review and argued with to come back. I wasn't going to write a review until then. Stay away from this dentist. They care more about your money than your health.

Over the weekend, I cracked my back tooth eating almonds. I came in as an emergency without an appointment first thing on Monday. I am so beyond thankful that I was paired with Dr. Monica. She took a quick peak at my mouth and immediately understood what was going. After a couple X-rays, she showed me that I had fractured my root completely. Even though I'm not well versed in dental terminology, she explained absolutely everything in the simplest terms and what my options were, but ultimately my molar could not be saved. I opted to have the tooth removed the same day. I would have usually taken a few days to think it over but I felt so comfortable and trusting in Dr. Monica's care. 15 minutes later, my tooth was on the doctor's bracket table with a bone graft placed. I am really looking forward to my post op visit next Monday with Dr. Monica. So far I am virtually painless, just a little tenderness. Next step, implant! Thank you Dr. Monica, you are truly an angel.

I went for a deep cleaning and every single cleaning in the past has been thorough even sometimes needing two sessions to do it right (one for the top one for bottom). This cleaning took about no more than half the time. It felt very rushed, dentist never checked in how I was feeling, and I didn't feel the care as other dentists would. It seemed like they were trying to spend the least time as possible to get paid the same from the insurance company. I would definitely not recommend until they improve their level of care. Other than that, the check In process and front desk staff was very attentive. I liked being able to fill out my information prior to showing up onsite to cut down on the time.

They are not worried about your health. They will deny your dentals needs and try to get at least $500 out of every visit. I do not recommend this place. They completely messed up on my filling and cost me more than just money. I’ve been examined by multiple dentists and each one has a different input, saying the last one messed up. However, they don’t legally take ownership because that will cost them to much to fix. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my enemy.

-They were able to schedule me for a cleaning/check up the same day (Monday afternoon). -Clean, standard looking office -I was a new patient so I had to fill out some paperwork before. -The person cleaning my teeth was very gentle! -The dentist recommended I get a cosmetic procedure, but didn’t give a reason why. He seemed busy. - Communication between staff could be better, but overall a good experience.

Wouldn’t go back if I had to. 1. The man that took my X-Ray’s touched the plastic, the button, and the drawer consistently and kept putting his hands on the plastic prior to putting it in my mouth. UNSANITARY 2. I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday at 11am. I arrived at 10:58, and by 12:40 after repeatedly asking for a dentist he came and provided MINIMAL insight on anything before leaving the room and never came back. Eventually I left and disrupted services because I still had no cleaning, or no solution. The manager provided an excuse about there only being one dentist present. 3. My X-Rays and personal client information was left on the screen the entire time for every passing eye to see. This was a clear violation of HIPPA regulations. I addressed it and was met with sarcasm, and made it an issue that she would have to put a password in to reopen the screen (that is normal ethical practice). Overall, I wouldn’t return. Trash experience, and they had no respect for my time.

The wait super long 40 minutes after my appointment time. Also no one comes to follow up with you even after 25 minutes after the doctor saw you. No advocacy for you as a patient get your insurance to cover all or any of their recommendations.

I usually hate going to the dentist . Not only is it painful but then the cost and the feeling like I'm being cheated. That wasn't the case here . Everyone was so warm and kind. They explained all my payment options and helped me choose the one that made sense to me. I walked away feeling Like I actually came up. Great service great experience 10 out of 10

If you have an appointment you’ll still be waiting 1+ Hours. Staff is nice. However, the dentists/ surgeons are rude. They’re just trying to finish as fast as possible which means they don’t do their best job. They’re careless in their practice and not careful while in your mouth so expect unnecessary bruises, cuts, and pain. They’re located in a low-income neighborhood & are aware that majority of patients have medi-cal yet they continue to be extra pushy (ignorantly) pressuring them into paying for extra treatment/ procedures (just to get money) & get mad when you say no. It’s evident that they treat their patients rudely/ carelessly because of their medi-cal status. The dentist/ surgeons expect patients to sign papers before actually explaining to them 1 on 1 the procedure/ risks. Major condescending comments/ replies from dentist/ surgeons when you ask questions. I feel sorry for the Spanish speaking people or people of color who come here because these doctors really have major superiority complex issues.

They have been really nice and friendly. But most importantly they have been efficient, gentle and really patient with me and my mouth has been in bad shape. I have been to several dentists and West Coast is the first place that has not given me a bad or traumatic experience. They have a great staff and gladly recommend anyone who needs dental work done to try them. Did I mention they are fast in scheduling appts. Remember they are gentle and do quality work.

All my life I have been terrified of going to the dentist because it has always been a painful experience, until West Coast Dental of 6th Street. Dr. Monica Lefkot is amazing. My entire treatment was 100% painless. Even the needle was painless. Dr. Lefkot is kind, reassuring, gentle and showed compassion and understanding about my fears. They were so good, they accommodated me plus they also gave me a same day appointment for my daughter for the same day as mine. The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY CHRIST JESUS is very gracious for He gave me West Coast Dental as my personal direct dental provider as my insurance provider referred me to this dental clinic. I was really surprised and amazed by the professional expertise and capability and kindness of its staff starting from their receptionist up to those professionals who attended to me. There was the beautiful lady who conducted my dental x-ray. This was followed by another slim professional in white garment/uniform who put me ay ease while inspecting my gums, teeth & tongue and afterwards, I asked her what will she recommend for me to be done with my teeth. I was truly grateful she did what was appropriate for my dental situation & she was assisted by another professional dental expert while she carefully did the prophylaxis which was painless. After doing her part, thanks to her & her assistant, another male professional did the final dental procedure. Again, my thanks for his professional dental care. The experience was awesome. Was not packed but the customer service was not great at all. it didn't seem like they would even give me the time of day. I went thru a referral so I traveled farther than usual since I'm not from that area. If I would've known they were just going to blow me off and not even bother look at my situation I would've never bothered and just waited like I'm doing now with a dentist in my area. The dental assistant attending me wasn't courteous at all until my husband stepped up to speak for me which it should never come down to that especially when someone is in unspeakable pain that doesn't allow them to speak. The west coast dental near my area which is van Nuys seemed to be way more helpful and had way better customer service.

I didn't want to review my experience after my first visit last week but today confirmed just how unpleasant West Coast Dental of 6th street is -- aside from the unreasonable wait time (we're talking hours in the dental chair), the demeanor of certain staff was abrasive and lacking finesse. There was a puddle of water leaking on the floor (on which the dentist commented but no one cleaned up), after the first half of my fillings the doctor left, I was told it'd be another several hours before I'd be seen again (the novocaine was subsiding at this point), and aside from the sweet woman working the X-ray room and the gentleman at the front desk, the employees weren't considerate or attentive. Going to the dentist isn't fun and staff should be trained to speak with kindness, or at the very least, respect.

They wouldn’t perform the cleaning services covered by my expensive dental insurance, unless I opted to have periodontal irrigation for an additional $400 out of pocket. “No point waxing a dirty car” is how they put it. My research is telling me a more apt analogy would be “we won’t wash your car unless you pay us $400 to change your oil”

Wow this place is amazing! So I have a Health Net Provider thru Medi-cal, and don't you know I didn't know I was reassigned dentists, and Wear Coast Dental gave me a phone call on my NEW number btw, and let me know they would be assisting me with my dental needs from now on. We made a quick and easy appointment and and it came with a free "braces" consultation. Upon arrival I was greeted with friendly "attractive" professionals and Dr. Monica was able to do some moderate dental work on me and left me happy. I rate 5 ?'s

I was contacted in advance by email and by phone to confirm my routine appointment for checkup to sign off for orthodontic treatment. Saturday morning I arrived on time, front desk and X-ray technician were very helpful but was told one hour into my appointment that no doctor was available that day due to an emergency. I understand emergencies happen but there is obviously staffing issues that need to be addresses. I’m planning to find other dental solitions if this continues.

This place is horrible! I went there for a small chip on 1 of my front teeth and the doctor kept on trying to get me to get a veneer when he could have done a way more simple procedure. I end up letting him put the veneer on and a year later it comes off when they suppose to last a minimum of 10 years and they wouldn’t even fix it. They’re tryna make me pay for a whole new one. I hate this place! Do not ever visit this place for dental work! That guy is nothing but a scam artist and cares nothing about your health.

The Dentist I saw was straight out of Dental School. She had horrible chairside manners. Was not organized and lacked communication skills which is essential when you are a doctor of any kind. The upside is that they have a friendly staff.

Worst experience ever! I set an appointment with them for my daughter. I confirmed everything gave them my health insurance via phone the day before my appointment. They said my daughter can come in and she'll be covered. The day we came in they made us full out papers because we're new patient. After 15 mins they told me they couldn't see my daughter because she's not in the roster. I'm like why did you even confirmed my appointment if your just gonna tell me youre not able to see my daughter. And the lady is actually rude and keep insisting that there's no way they can see my daughter. Just don't even come to this facility. You'll just waste your time and you'll encounter this rude lady.

Very bad service, they make an appointment for the specialist, they change it at the time that you arrive on time, they say your appointment was changed for tomorrow and they don't notify you until you ask for a day off from work, at the moment they don't attend to you and it's not the first time that they've done this to me, then I tell them to make it for me on a Saturday and they say everything is full, there's a call in a month and I've taken the girl for 10 years, I'll have to change better.

West Coast Dental office located on 6 street. Its the worse dental office all of those employees that are working in that office need to be fired. They are the most unprofessional people!! very rude, no customer, and most of all! The lady who take your payment for the braces. She have no class and no RESPECT. The one of my problem i have with them. My daughter wear braces before we leave the office we would make appointment for the next visit. We would show up at the office. Those f.....ker look at my daughter and I telling that no one is there to help not only that they tell us that they change the day the doctor would come inside office for braces. My appointment was at 3 pm for a regular cleanup, I was not given that cleanup until 5 pm and after repeatedly asking to be seen, and the cleanup itself lasted less than 5 minutes. The dental hygienist said I needed some special and optional treatments (which was of course very costly) but when I decided to not do that and only do a regular cleanup she took about a coupe minutes to do it, I have had dozens of cleanups in my life and this was by far the shortest (which if I really needed special treatments I probably needed serious cleaning too), it seemed like they were just trying to make me pay for more than I needed, I will not be returning to this facility.

This is the worst place you could go. They're not courteous, organized or professional. They'll be rude. They'll make you wait for hours. They won't look out for your best interest. They're not accessible when you have trouble or get an infection from a bad job done. They only do the bare minimum, which is not even remotely acceptable in regards to oral health. Very bad experience, they tell you that you need treatment after treatment when in truth it is not what you are in. Not only is this dental clinic visited and that is partly good because it removes your doubts, a second or third option like I do, there is a dentist who is brutally rude, I have a phobia of him, the work they do is very bad. very much in understanding you, they leave you forgotten even for hours and not minutes, I have been a patient for about two years and I have decided to change places. The dental floss falls apart when I clean the teeth that were treated, the filling is higher than the other teeth and you tell them the only answer is because of the anesthesia. They leave you and go with the next patient, NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

This place sucks!!!!!! They make you wait an hour at times when you have an APPOINTMENT.... They charge you like 25 dollars or dont even see you when your like 15 minutes late. It should b vise versa. They should get a fee for making us wait long or we should get a 25 dollar discount. This place only cares for their money and not for their patients. First appointment at 10am, I arrived 10 mins early. Filled out all my paper work before 10am. Why is it 10:30 and I'm still sitting in the waiting room? Why make an appointment, if you aren't staffed to fulfill the appointment. Won't be returning to this location if I have a choice. Reception staff is fairly friendly, but I will say an unsafe practice used at this facility is the verification of coverage over the phone on speaker phone. Literally heard multiple social security number and birthdays repeated over the phone. Not ok!!!!

The falicity is great. However, the person in charged of the team is lacking on customer service and can sound demanding as soon as as one steps in the lobby. That person demonstrated inpatience and unwillingness to help resolve customer questions and did not offer him/her-self to fully explain services recommended/needed. Instead, person jump into selling the service as a product one must buy rather than need. It would be great to see more understanding explanations from this person toward the community who do not speak or know the full dentistry language/procedures/recommendations. Customer service goes a long way, catch up.

This was the worst dentist I have ever visited. They pressured me to have expensive procedures that I didn't need and made me wait hours and hours. The service is too slow. They pressure me to have a very expensive deep cleaning, a laser treatment, and a procedure to prevent tooth decay. When I refused the procedure, I was made to sign a waiver stating that I was not following medical advice. I have never needed an extra deep cleaning in the decades I have been going to the dentist. I feel so bad for the community and for the people who come because they are being deceived.

If there is a 0 star i would give it to these money grabbing excuse of a dental practise. Misdiagnosed me and try to scammed me for Inlays which is not covered by my insurance. I almost got duped into paying almosy 2k for the treatment. My wife is not so lucky, she was tricked into remove her wisdom tooth which was perfectly healthy. General reception staff not friendly and lousy money grabbing dentist.

This office is horrible. The doctors and management and front desk associates clearly have horrible communication. I waited over an hour for ultimately nothing. A doctor was missing, another doctor said he couldn’t help me without an X-ray after the technician sent me back without an X-ray because I already had recent X-rays. They messed up a filling and seemed entirely unconcerned and apathetic when I returned to have it looked at. Their only concern was that I didn’t express my upset too loudly so that other patients in the waiting room wouldn’t hear about their negligence. I would scream to the rooftops if I could, DO. NOT. GO. HERE.

They not trying to help you with your issues only try to put you on a credit plan that benefits them. The dentist he is arrogant and has an ego when you ask him question he has a sarcastic answer... Beware of this place they don't care about their clients needs.. I went in there in pain and all the wanted to do is sale me a plan for services I didn't need

Do not go here. I work in the medical field and I wouldn't usually write a negative review on a medical establishment but I am appalled at how I was treated here. The first time I visited this office they had no idea what they were doing as far as my insurance was concerned, I took the morning off work for my new patient exam and didn't even get in to see the dentist for 4 hours because that's how long it took the front desk to figure out my insurance coverage...only AFTER I called the insurance company myself were they able to get it together. They took my radiographs and I saw a relatively nice male dentist who wanted to talk to me about cleanings, fillings, and braces which is unfortunately not what I was there for. I needed my wisdom teeth removed. They didn't do any work on my mouth that day. They shuffled me into the finance office and Norma proceeded to break down how much oral surgery was going to cost me. She asked me what kind of anesthesia I wanted; what my pain tolerance was? The end result according to Norma was that my procedure including anesthesia would cost $437, and I scheduled it for the following Friday. Fast forward to Friday morning at 7:30am both my girlfriend and I took the day off for my oral surgery. I checked in with the front desk. The receptionist proceeded to ask me how I was being anesthetized? Why they didn't know this already I wasn't sure. I told her that I spoke with Norma at my last appointment and we scheduled sedation and extractions, she told me not to eat after midnight, and to bring someone with me to help me get back home. The receptionist then tells me their financial manager Norma, MISQUOTED me and my procedure was actually going to cost $900. Excuse me? They then proceeded to tell me that it was "okay" because they can finance me...it is NOT okay. They gave a credit for to fill out while I waited 2 hours in the waiting room (starving) waiting for Norma to come in. I DID NOT want their mistake affecting my credit. Norma finally arrived and she admitted to her mistake, said she "assumed" my PPO insurance was going to cover my sedation. I was still liable for $800. We agreed on a payment plan, $430 down and 2 more payments over the next two months, no credit necessary. I went into surgery and came out only to find out that our lovely friend Norma had run my credit while I was asleep after I repeatedly told her not to, told me it was protocol and had me sign all the forms while I was coming out of sedation which I am pretty sure is illegal. Worst experience I've ever had at a medical office of any kind.

The first time I called them to make an appointment I was on hold for 30 minutes. And then I got disconnected. When I finally was able to make an appointment I showed up to the office 20 minutes early, and waited an additional 40 minutes after that. I left the office I don't think I'll be coming back. Honor your appointments!

The orthodontist(Dr. Shouhed) tells it exactly like it is. If it's going to hurt he tells you. He promises to help and is with you every step of the way. The staff is very friendly, treating you as if you are family. I am very happy with the work they continue to do.

The dentist was great. The clinic is full service. X-rays, orthodontics, and oral surgery. The wait time may be long because maybe they don't require that you make a 2nd appointment. They take care of everything right there. However, the front desk personnel is horrible. I actually had two (2) people tell me that I could not get X-rays because I had braces. After several nonsensical sentences, I finally asked if they just did not want to see me as a patient. The whole experience was surreal and cruel. 5 stars for the dentist. 0 stars for the front desk.

Free front-door parking, great front desk customer service, video games to play, TV, magazines to read, and English/Spanish fill-out forms provided. No hassle signing up until their doctor turned me away because "they don't accept transfers". I was referred by their corporate in order to get out of my previous horrible local West Dental Center. What was the point of travelling half an hour away if they wouldn't honor the same contract? I even had made an appointment over the phone where they should've let me know then. Nope! Unprofessional/rude is the WC Dental brand. Try a local spot in your area.

I am very happy being a patient at West Coast Dental. They are thorough, work with me on payments, and are genuinely friendly. I have had three cavities, and a root canal treated there, plus several cleanings, and they have helped educate me on better oral hygiene. The dentists and the staff are superb.

At first glance this place seems great. The staff is warm and inviting and they provide free parking. The office itself looks clean and modern but this is where the good ends. I was charged for procedures that were never performed or half performed and the lady in charge of billing for the fees kept insisting on the higher cost options. She comes off as a pushy car salesmen and succeeded in making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Before beginning the work, the dentist asked if I had considered braces(I have small gaps between my teeth) and said she'd set up a consultation with an orthodontist. During my procedure she began separating my teeth and said that it wouldn't matter since I would be getting braces anyways. Mind you, I had only agreed to the free consultation and never even remotely suggested I was interested in them. Ms car salesmen refused to take no for an answer. Whatever. To make things worse, I had a cube in my mouth to help keep my jaw open as they worked on filling my cavities the whole time and still they insisted they filled both sides of my cavities. I was also charged for some laser cleaning that was never performed. I was told I would receive copies of everything I signed but they conveniently had no toner and thus were unable to print them. They promised I'd receive them at my next appointment and surprise surprise, that was also a lie. A few weeks have gone by since they did the work and the side they performed work on is super sensitive to the point where I am no longer able to chew. Needless to say, this was not the case prior to visiting them.

Although the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the facility clean & in good condition, the long wait was unexpected. I came to visit my mom in LA from another state to help manage her medical needs/ appointments. I arrived for the appointment on time but had to wait 1.5 hrs. My expectation was to have the service within 15 minutes, not 1 1/2 hrs.

If a person is a new patient I don't think it would be good to have all the information from insurance ready prior to the appointment. I filled the paperwork out online at least a week prior to my appointment thinking it would move me along faster but it took 30 minutes. By the time the X-rays and dentists saw me and finally financial manager to tell me what it'll cost to clean my teeth 2 1/2 hours of waiting, no cleaning yet. If you put people at the front desk 30 minutes prior to opening people might get seen sooner. Patients weren't brought back til 9:30

Terrible service! Staff will cancel appointments without confirming with you, you won't find out until you arrive. If you call the office, be ready to be put on hold with hopes that they answer the call within 10 minutes. No use in bringing it up to the "manager". Terrible service, parking is bad. Also, if you have an appointment be ready to wait an hour to two hours before they see you. SO MUCH FOR HAVING AN APPOINTMENT

The first time i came to this office it was ok the 2 time they told me that the doctor wasn't able to see my daughter I told her that is there any other doctor who can see her at the my appointment was at 4:30 in I got there a four I was really angry and I asked to get me another day for appointment they give me an appointment for my daughter to see the specialist for her braces day text me 3 times regarding the appointment so I can't confirm it I confirmed appointment a week ago is my work if I can get out early so I can get my daughter to her appointment I don't have a car I'm in the bus when I get to the office they told me they there was nobody to see my daughter or of the specialist for braces there were on vacation I was so angry and the staff didn't even say sorry didn't even say anything there just stare me like if I was crazy I'm never going to come back to this office and people don't come to this office what are rude service very very disappointed I lost 3 hours and my job and my daughter after school program and her cheerleading class just for nothing they make me waste my time with my energy and my daughter her time from cheerleading what about service what a bad office

When I was younger, I had a very traumatic experience with the dentist. Today, I came in, filled out their paperwork, and got sent in. They did x-rays, cleaning of teeth, and filled my cavities. The doctor was very thorough in explaining. I felt calm for the whole procedure. To top it all off, the employees are straight to the point and friendly.

I had a great experience. I had wisdom teeth extractions. It was pretty painless. :) Everyone was friendly. I would give 5 stars. However, I went in expecting intravenious anesthesia, and was given nitrous (laughing gas), instead. Although the nitrous helped in lessening pain in the procedure, I was still upset. I had already went out of my way to bring a driver, (as required when given deep sedation). I also skipped breakfast and dinner the night before, (as required for deep sedation) (which now that I am restricted to soups for a few days, would have been deeply appreciated; filling up the night and morning before). And I spent hours on the phone with my insurance to get the deep sedation covered. Only to be given laughing gas at the last minute. :/ So I could've ate, and drove myself. Sooo, I would still recommend this office to anyone getting the procedure. Everyone was friendly. The surgeon was good. I would, perhaps, just hope there would be more communication in the office, next time, to avoid anymore inconveniences.

I went in for a routine cleaning. The wait was short but after the dentist scanned my teeth for a few minutes, he determined I needed almost $500 dollars of work including 5 fillings and a laser treatment for gum inflammation. I have had a perfect dental record and no cavities since I was in elementary school. I am a dietitian/nutritionist and I eat a healthy diet, low in sugar and have always received positive comments for my dental hygiene from previous dentists and my orthodontist. I declined most of the treatments they wanted me to pay for except for one filling. After paying for it, the staff tells me my dentist is busy with another customer and that I will have to wait an undisclosed amount of time for him to finish up. I decided to leave and find an honest dental clinic.

Went in for a regular check up. They told me I had one cavity and needed 3 crowns. I have not had a second opinion yet but the doctor repeated several times this was necessary in an unpleasant manner. I did feel the scare tactics used and acer reading other reviews on yelp I have no doubt that his recommendations were excessive. Live and learn. They prey on weak minded demographic that live in the area.

The service is the worst. They trick you into signing a contract. They say it's a one-time fee and it turns out that it's someone else's fault, they play you for an answer, leave you waiting, and even hang up. The materials they use are terrible. The braces at this place are a bad investment.
