Excellent service. I had an issue with a tooth for several years.it had become traumatic for me and was concerned about having the tooth extracted. I was referred to Dr Beck. She examined and made recommendations. After fixing the bite and deep cleaning, the high level of discomfort I had been experiencing, resolved by 80%. The bite was 100% better—. so much better. The tooth is on its way to full healing. I am very happy. Her staff is very friendly including Monique (front desk), Jessica (deep cleaning). Thanks to Dr Beck and her staff I am feeling much better! I can now eat and apply pressure on that side of my mouth without issues. I also do not avoid having the top of my teeth touch the bottom any longer.. I am seeing continued improvements to my gum area following home remedy suggestions. Great service and results all around!

Just had my regular 6-month cleaning which I've done ever since a few oral/gum surgeries that Dr. Beck performed many years ago. Hygienist took me in right on time (as always), did a competent job scraping and polishing (as always) and got the job done in 30 minutes (yay!). Dr. Beck is a very skilled periodontist; She has performed two difficult and successful gum grafts for me. I have great respect for her candor and professional integrity. I was initially provided a reasonable quote following an exam. However, halfway through the treatment, the cost escalated by a shocking 10-fold, preventing me from completing it. When I expressed my concerns about the nearly $9000 charge for periodontal treatment and sought alternative options, Dr. Beck disregarded my questions and ignored calls. It's worth noting that if you experience dental anxiety, this is not the place for you. Despite having undergone sedation for dental work numerous times in the past without any issues, my experience with Dr. Beck was quite different. There was a prescription error, and she only managed to complete treatment on half of my mouth due to my perceived lack of "cooperation." At least that is what she initially said. Later, it was that the remainder of my treatment would be an extra $9000+. Forgetting one lie only to tell another; SCREAMING RED FLAG to stay away from this dentist. Her attitude completely lacked empathy for anxious patients who might need breaks or a little reassurance. Her demeanor came across as conceited and judgmental. In all my interactions with dentists, I've never encountered one who failed to finish a treatment and then tried to charge an additional $9000. Interestingly, two other periodontists I consulted with subsequently confirmed that the excessive charges were unwarranted and that her work on the parts she did treat was subpar. Ultimately, my investment of both money and time turned out to be the worst decision ever.

Monic (i hop i split her name correct) but she is an amazing person to first see when you need to go to a dental clinic, i hope they already know that they r so lucky to have her .

11/3/22: UPDATE: Dr Beck and her staff are the real deal from my first visit to my last (almost a year later). Pleasant staff and fantastic doctor. 11/11/21 Dr Tina Beck, DDS, MS Southern California Periodontics & Implantology From my first phone conversation with Monique of the front desk (she wears so many different hats), I was instantly impressed. If you’re lucky, it won’t be every day that you’ll need to have a tooth pulled, but Dr Beck and her assistant, Shiloh, made me as comfortable as possible. Dr Beck explained the procedure and what I might expect, as well as our timeline. There was some bone grafting so we’ll wait 3 months for bone regeneration before the post is installed. It’s nothing any of us wish to do but, if we have to do it, it may as well be with pleasant, knowledgeable people.

Dr. Beck is amazing and so are the staff in her office. I mean: The latest tech, a friendly and warm demeanor but if you wanna get down to the deets (like I do) she’ll break down the science. She’s reassuring and optimistic about situations and solutions she’s addressing while at the same time keeping things real when it comes to treatment plans and the like. I have never - not once - felt as if she were recommending unnecessary work to pad her earnings - you know how some dentists will review your insurance plan and get pushy about procedures in an attempt to milk it for all it’s worth? Yeah, not her. Finally, it’s important that the work one has done is ultimately effective and I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that the implant she did for me has lasted for over a decade and I’ve had *zero* trouble with it. I can’t recommend her enough.

This was my second major procedure with Dr. Beck and I felt so confident that today would go pretty painlessly. It wasn't painless but the pain was quite tolerable. I refer Dr. Beck to anyone who asks. Love her and her staff; knowledgeable, great expertise and friendly.

Dr. Beck completed the final step of my dental implant on the 20th of October. Preparation was very well made from COVID check, pills of amoxicillin, and x-rays of the tooth, to my vital and overall health before the sugery. Dr. Beck, upon examining both the X-ray of the tooth site and tooth site itself, announced that I have healed well and quite ready for the implant. The less than one hour long implant placement process was light and smooth. In the past two days, I went about my usual daily activities without much difficulty. I particularly like her approach to her patients. She always clearly tells me the whole picture, the after treatment care and then praise the healing in a tone of appreciation. I have been delaying this procedure for some time mostly because I was having no pain. I chose Dr Beck because I believed in her approach and I felt comfortable in her office. I could’ve gone somewhere else but this just seemed to be the best fit. I’m only two hours post procedure right now but the most painful part was the Novocain shot. And that was pretty minimal.

Some of the most professional and caring people in the business. I used to have a literal fear of the dentist, and they have completely changed my view.

Highly recommend Dr. back and her amazing team. I have been going to her for the last six months for an implant and every time I’ve been in the office they have been super professional, informative and caring. The office is beautifully decorated and Dr. Beck has really put a lot of extra effort into making sure the environment is almost spa-like with lots of extra little touches. Her dentistry is great and they make sure to take the time to explain what is going on throughout the process as well as making sure that you’re completely comfortable.

When our family first visited with Dr. Tina Beck, she assured us that her "pinhole" technique for repairing receding gums would be successful and covered by Delta Dental PPO Platinum. We purchased that plan a year before the procedure. She had a payment plan guarantee signed and collected her entire fee of $4,000 before Delta declined covering the procedure. Their reason was that it was not a proven solution to the receding gum tissue. If we had known about this we would not have chosen this solution. Since this issue, she has taken down the insurance information and replaced it with call regarding insurance coverage.

My fear of the dentist kept me from taking care of a cavity for years. I was in extreme pain and a coworker referred me to Dr. Beck. I completed the on-line new patient paperwork and was seen the same day. When I arrived, the staff had already reviewed my medical history and insurance. The office is caring, clean, organized, and very professional. Pre-op and post-op instructions are clearly explained and placed in a folder to take with you. I highly recommend the warm blanket and headset with music for further relaxation. I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure and healing well.

Dr. Beck has performed surgery for me twice...making my gums healthy immediately and super simple recovery without serious pain killers...ibuprofen, and in to work the next am. And she and her staff are super personable which makes a world of difference to me!

As a periodontal surgeon she has excellent hands - underwent the whole procedure with local anesthetic. She answered all my questions on point with the detail expected of a specialist - we were able to discuss alternatives, risks and benefits of the procedure. She earned my trust rather quickly during the consultation and felt comfortable placing my oral care in her hands. Will update this as needed in the upcoming post-op care.

Dr. Beck and her office staff were very kind and caring. Quickly got me in for a consult, cleaning and gum graft. Even though my mouth was very sensitive and I have an exposed root, she was able to clean my teeth without having to scrape me off the ceiling. I left with NO pain. Gum graft next week and I am feeling quite confident that I will leave happy

I am really pleased to have Dr Beck for my periodontist. She is very knowledgeable and personable. Everone working in her office has been has been professional while exuding warmth and kindness. Dr Beck suggested a straightforward, painless procedure that immediately improved the stability of my teeth. My previous periodontist didn't suggest it. As simple as the procedure was, I still received a follow up call to make sure I was doing fine.

I was considering the possibility of having implants and was seeking a Periodontist in the San Diego area. Since a friend was being treated by her, I elected to accompany this individual to appointments to determine whether we would be a match. Not only was the result of the surgery a disaster, I was shocked by the Periodontist's unprofessional behavior. She lied, insulted me, was very defensive, immature and impossible to deal with. She was heartless and had a "Miss Know it All Attitude". I knew that there was absolutely no way that I would ever allow her to touch my mouth. How she earned her license I will never know.
