I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could! My son (4 years old) actually likes going to the dentist because of his experience here since he was 2. He loves the fish tank when you enter and it gives him something to look forward to seeing right away. The staff is so kind. Every hygienist we’ve had is so gentle and friendly. Dr. Wu is awesome! My son actually references him when he brushes his teeth so we make Dr. Wu proud with our good brushing! My son also loves the tv in the ceiling so he has a solid distraction during the cleaning. He doesn’t even complain about the x ray process because they are so good and gentle. He loves the prize wall at the end of the visit and the photo booth to show off his nice smile. This place is the best.

We love coming here. We have been going here for 6-7 years now. We had different insurance for a bit and I could not wait to switch back to go back. If you have kids and want the absolute best care they can get, then you’ve found your pediatric dental practice. We saw Dr. John De Lorme and he was fantastic! The first thing he said was that our goal (his and mine) is to make sure my two boys never have cavities and have healthy smiles for the rest of their lives. I immediately appreciated him and felt like we were in the right place. He was thorough in everything we discussed; educated me in how to ensure my boys are set up for success and was incredible with my sons (3 year old and 17 month old). Dr. John didn’t make us feel rushed, he answered every question, and made us feel right at home. The boys loved him and the time spent there was very productive. The staff was thoughtful and so kind toward my children/us. They too, answered every question and made us feel extremely comfortable. Every moment, since scheduling the appointment to the very end of our visit was a well thought out experience without a detail overlooked. I’m so grateful to have found the right and the best doctor for our sons. I’m very particular when it comes to medical providers and dentists and I’m not always easy to impress (as my husband says) but I was truly blown away with this office and the care Dr. John provided. It is evident he sincerely cares about his patients and loves what he does! Call them now and schedule the appointment. You won’t find another practice like South OC Pediatric Dentistry.

We absolutely love this place. I have been taking my kids here for 8 years. My younger one now 14 is one of the most difficult patients because of being severely autistic. Over years everyone from staff and doctor have gone above & beyond to help him ease. Even though our insurance no longer covers this office but we won’t change it for the world because of how they care for my autistic child. We had our 6 months checkup couple of days ago & I couldn’t believe how they have earned my son trust. He sat without fighting, let the cleaning be done to perfection, and above all he let them do multiple x-rays. This is something that has not happened for years. This is the same child that in another dentist office they can’t even get him sit down. This successful visit could not have possibly happened if it wasn’t for the amazing, kind, and selfless Ms Bree who build such trust with him. I am wholeheartedly grateful & recommend them highly. ??????

I truly can’t say enough amazing things about this dental office. We had an after-hours emergency, and their team immediately sprang into action. Within minutes, Dr. Wu personally called me, reviewed pictures of my 2.5 year old son’s tooth, and helped us create a thoughtful plan to keep him comfortable and cared for through the weekend until he could be seen in person. Once we arrived at the office, we were completely blown away. Every single detail was meticulously thought through—from the sparkling clean environment to the warm and welcoming staff. They found a movie my son loved, helped ease his nerves in the chair, and went above and beyond to make the entire experience positive. They took time to explain how to best care for him post-extraction, offered clear guidance on future dental hygiene, and even provided fun little toys that brought a big smile to his face. Coming from a dental family, we tend to be pretty particular about the care we receive—but this office far exceeded our expectations. Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail were unmatched. Hands down the best dental office we could be at. So grateful we found them!

We are NYers who had a dental emergency (broken front tooth) and were recommended to Dr Wu from this office and just WOW! Per his dad's experience the doctor was thorough and really explained what was of urgency and what could be managed with a few extra steps on our end. Overall the experience was been pleasant.

Dr. De Lorme is the best pediatric dentist out there. Not only was he my childhood dentist but I now bring my three young daughters to him. He is thoughtful, kind, and always gentle. My girls love going to the dentist which is quite a statement. The office is clean, the staff is charismatic, and every detail is thought of.

We took our three year-old daughter here for her first dental visit and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They took us right back without any wait time. The dental hygienist then took us to the wall of toys and told my daughter she would get to pick a prize when they were all finished, which made my daughter excited to get started! She then took us to the exam area, where each dental chair has its own TV and she put on my daughter‘s favorite movie to make her feel more comfortable. She was extremely gentle with my daughter during the cleaning and the x-ray process, talking with her the entire time, explaining what she was doing. The doctor then came in, he was very nice and knowledgeable and recommended the most conservative treatment possible and did not try to push unnecessary procedures. We were not even there a full hour, which was amazing for a cleaning and X-rays. My daughter then chose her prize and the whole family was offered a free photo booth picture to commemorate the occasion. This place is one of a kind and I couldn’t recommend it more. I also really liked that my husband and I were included in every step of the process and we’re able to stay by my daughter’s side the entire time. My daughter can’t wait for her next visit to the dentist and I am so grateful to them for giving her this wonderful experience.

**Update 6/24/2025 I continue to sing the praises of the entire staff. In a chat at the dentist yesterday, we realized most of the assisting staff changed out (what do you expect after 20yrs). My oldest used to need me in the room, helping him make it thru. Yesterday was an example of how comfortable he is. I stayed in the waiting room as he advocated for himself for his comfort needs. Every hygenist there is fantastic with him and he can go to anyone now. Dr DeLorme and Dr Wu have watched my boys grow helped them navigate toddler thru young adult. Dr DeLorme had to give a pep talk on flossing and I can say, today he is making sure we get his flossing done because he doesn't want a cavity. You can't go wrong with either dentist. When one is out, the other is fully knowledgeable about my sons history. I love them all. The entire team is always amazing. Every person from the time I walk in with my boys is so caring. Having 2 children on the autism spectrum can make a dentist visit terrifying. Not here. My boys have been going since they were 2yrs old and although accommodations are available for their sensory needs, the team has worked so well with the boys we don't even have to make changes that we used to. I love that my boys are excited to go see Dr. John and Dr, Wu.... Great job

I originally left this review here because when searching for Dr. Christopher Carillo, this office appeared as one of his associated locations. If he left in 2023, I appreciate the clarification. However, I noticed that his name is still listed on your own website as a provider. If he is no longer working here, I encourage the office to update this information so parents are not misled when researching their child’s care. My experience with Dr. Carillo at Scott Fishman, DDS in Downey, CA was serious enough that I filed a formal complaint with the California Dental Board. Parents deserve to know if a provider they are considering has worked at multiple locations and should be able to make fully informed decisions. While my review is not meant as a reflection of this entire office, I believe it is important to raise awareness about the providers who have been associated with different practices. I encourage parents to always research their providers thoroughly and to know that if something goes wrong, they have the right to file a formal complaint beyond just leaving a review. Every child deserves a provider who prioritizes their care, safety, and emotional well-being.

The team at South OC Pediatric Dentistry is amazing! I was looking for a new dentist for my 4 year old daughter and she was literally skipping and giddy in the parking lot out of excitement to go to the dentist. While there, she had her dental cleaning and x-rays done by Veronica with an x-ray discussion with Dr. John, and both were amazing, patient, and thorough. Everyone my daughter interacted with made the experience comfortable and fun, while being educational. My daughter has been so excited to floss her teeth everyday after getting encouragement from the team during her dental appointment. I am looking forward to my daughter continuing to see the team at South OC Pediatric Dentistry moving forward. I wish dentist offices were this fun when I was a kid or even this fun as an adult!

This place is amazing! My kids LOVE coming here. The staff is so nice and they clearly love what they do and do a great job at it. The kids get to pick from various flavors of teeth cleaning and fluorides and get to choose a toy when they’re done. There is also a huge fish tank when you first walk in that captures their attention right away and can help ease their anxiety of coming to the dentist. They also have a video game console and Photo Booth near the waiting room. My kids can’t wait to come back - they keep asking to go to the dentist again!

We wholeheartedly recommend this dental practice for children. We see Dr. Sam Wu, and he has been phenomenal at communicating all matters regarding our child's dental health, as well as understanding what kids need and do best with during dental procedures. Though they were not taking new clients when we found them, Dr. Wu made an exception and took us on because our child had a potential dental issue that needed to be looked at. Since then, they have shown over and over why they are so highly reviewed and rated. Our child loves viewing their fish tank in the waiting area, and they have TV's on the ceiling so that kids can have something to look at while they are having procedures done. Their facility is super clean, organized, and professionally decorated, and our child loves picking out toys from their toy wall when procedures are finished.

This is the best kid’s dentist around. I have been taking my kids to 4 different dentists in the last 2 years. The people are super nice and the dentist is honest and good with Kids. My 6 years old son recently had 2 filling between his upper molar and it went successfully. The only drawback was my fault that I didn’t ask the cost. It cost $800 plus with $375 out of pocket which really surprise me.

We started coming here when my son was 1 years old. We initially had another dentist, and at that time, my son was not yet diagnosed with Autism. So he would freak out, scream and cry when being held down to check his teeth. We realized we needed another dentist with a little more patience. We started seeing Dr. Wu when my son was a toddler, and was so relieved and happy with Dr. Wu! We have been seeing him ever since. Dr. Wu, is calm, kind, patient, and explains everything in detail. My son is now 11, and had to have some dental work done recently. It can be stressful with any kind of doctor or dental appointment, because he’s squirmy! Dr. Wu put us at ease, and my son got through his appt beautifully! We even recommended him to several parents, whose children are on the spectrum ,or are scared of dentists. We adore Dr. Wu and highly recommend him!

OMG! They are the best! I have a 20 months old daughter who has some cavities since she was 10 months old from breastfeeding. Dr John De Lorme is the best. He took care of her teeth and now cavities stopped! He has a professional photographer to take pictures of my daughter’s teeth and visualize them in a big screen to see every bit of her teeth. They also have a kid friendly office with a big aquarium full of colorful fishes which my daughter loves it. They give a present to a kid after each visit which makes the entire dentist experience so awesome for young kids.

Took my youngest in for an initial consultation today. The clinic is welcoming and well designed for little ones. The front desk staff were super accommodating, and made sure to get all necessary past x-rays and insurance details before the visit. Dr Wu and his team were friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through the x-rays and provide what I felt was really helpful information about the current health of my child’s teeth, a detailed plan and estimate of costs (which I really appreciate!), and what I can expect in terms of long term dental health for my kid. Really everything I was looking for. You can tell it’s a well operated, successful and established clinic. I was really happy with the service as was my little one. Staff is amazing! Have always treated my kids as if they were the only patients they had that day. We've been going since my boys were 2 (now 11) and have had many procedures besides basic cleaning done. Never once have the kids complained or been afraid of going back. I attribute this to the dentists and staff always being gentle and kind. TVs for the kids to watch, stuffies to comfort the young ones, and a toy cabinet for the kids to choose from after their visit. We love this place.

I have been bringing both of my children to this office since they were one year old; they are now 11 & 8 years old. All staff are really friendly and great with children. We have seen both Dr Wu and Dr De Lorme, and they both are wonderful dentists. They take check up X-rays routinely and intra-oral pictures of abnormalities, and it’s easy to understand when the doctors explain with those images. From the nice, pleasant office, front office staff, the assistants and Dr. John, I was extremely pleased with the care my son received. We got in urgently as our regular dentist was ill. We have such an amazing experience here every time we come. They don’t pressure my 3yo to do anything he’s not ready to do. His first visit he did wonderful. Going into our second visit I was expecting it to be the same but it definitely wasn’t. He was nervous, didn’t like the sounds and vibrations. Our Hygienist stopped and let us know this was normal for kids his age and she didn’t want to force him to lay there. We ended our visit early and will go back in two weeks. I found this amazing dentist by reading reviews and they more than lived up to their reputation. I have 6 kids and they all love it here. I mean... my kids say they love the dentist. They have no fear, unlike myself as a kid. My 2 and 3 year old have cavities which is stressful enough and everyone here is so great with them and more than accommodating. They are very transparent and actually care about the health and future of every kids teeth. The 30 minute drive is more than worth for me.

Add on- May 15th 2023… my daughter fell on the blacktop at school, and it was pretty bad. I sent pictures and they immediately got her in to make sure everything is OK. They are so compassionate and truly are practicing medicine for the needs of children. Thank you again❤️ I truly have no words. I have experienced a few pediatric dental offices and there is NONE that compare. Dr. John and his staff have a special way with children, and the experience for them is calm, easy and let’s just say they spoil them.m (toy wall, photo booth with props, fish tank, books and cool video games) I have a daughter, age 5, had 8 cavities in her molars. I was told I would have to admit her to Chalk Hospital for surgery under anesthesia. My dentist gave me Dr. John’s name and said go to him for a second opinion. He performed 4 visits under bubblegum smell laughing gas and filled all 8 for his in office. Al He is kind compassionate and loves children. Moon was his assistant all 4 times she talked to her and made her so comfortable, she too has a way with children. We returned for a cleaning and follow up today, and to be honest my daughter was a bit nervous knowing, but again left with nothing but smiles on her face. As for my 4 year old, she asked if we could go again tomorrow... To make you understand how great this practice is, we had to commute 30-40 min. And it is absolutely worth it. Everyone is professional, especially the checkout when you pay. They helped squeeze and spread the insurance for me, strategizing how to maximize my benefits. Thank you OC Pediatric Dentistry... By far the best dental office I’ve ever experienced. This office makes everyone feel like a VIP! I’ve been taking my daughter to this office for almost 2 years now and they never cease to amaze me. As an adult, I have a bit of dentist phobia due to some not so great experiences as a child. I did research and asked around for a pediatric dentist so my children would have a better experience. We found it! SOUTH OC PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY is awesome. Every person there is friendly, welcoming, and gentle. The kids do not have any problems or anxiety going to the dentist. They actually get excited to go...and not only because they get to pick a prize. The place is clean and modern with ceiling tvs to distract kids while their teeth are cleaned. DR CARILLO is awesome and has a blippy-esque happy vibe that works well for kids. He also takes the time to answer all the questions without rushing or being condescending. I know a lot of parents who go here too and everyone feels the same way about this dental practice, regardless of the dentist they see.

My girls had an amazing experience, they were kind enough to call and ask if we would like them to have their appointments together so they could be side by side. My oldest got cookie dough tooth paste and watermelon floss and my youngest got strawberry paste and the same floss. They loved the prize wall. They cannot wait for their next dentist appointment.

Best pediatric dental office. My 2 year old loves going there. It is kid's friendly since you entered the room and the doctors are amazing. They are so gentle that my kids think they are just playing with them. It could be a littler pricey since we do not have dental insurance for the kids. However, it is worth paying and avoiding more expenses dental treatments in the future.

We had a wonderful experience at our first visit today. We were told by another dentist yesterday that my son has multiple cavities and needs to get the cavities fixed under general anesthesia after 3 weeks. Thank God we came here for a 2nd opinion. The doctor and all of his staff were very nice, empathetic, professional and made every effort to make my son feel comfortable. My son has anxiety when it comes to medical procedures and he was treated with a lot of care. I'm so thankful. On top of that, turned out there was no need for the anesthetic procedure and there were no multiple (6+) cavities that the other dentist told us about. I'd highly recommend this pediatric dentistry and Dr. Wu and his amazing staff.

We just had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Wu. Our 9 year old autistic son needed a spacer removed. The last time we took him to the dentist he needed to be sedated to get the work done, which caused him to form a negative association with them. A friend of mine with autistic boys recommended South OC Pediatric Dentistry, so I thought we would try them since we didn't really have anything to lose. I was prepared for him to have a meltdown and possibly have to use laughing gas or some other medication to calm him down, but none of my fears were realized. In the past he's been terrified of anything motorized, like the dentist chair and the tools used to clean the teeth. He had none of that at his visit. They were so patient and explained everything to him as they were doing it, and it actually worked. He let them clean his teeth and even let them recline the chair all the way down. I was absolutely amazed. I never thought this would be possible for my son. I am so thankful to have found them.

The office has a beautiful fish tank and is very bright and kid-friendly, the staff and dentist are also very friendly, and the service is amazing! It’s a good pediatric dentist but they’re not very transparent about billing. We called beforehand to make sure that the visit would be covered and we were told that it would. Afterwards, we were told that only 50% of the bill was covered. They were unwilling to work with us to help cover the remaining balance. Had they been upfront about the insurance coverage, then we would’ve gone to another dentist to begin with. We will not be using this dentist again

We love coming here for our dental check ups. The hygienist make the kids feel so comfortable by turning on a movie and giving them cool sunglasses. They always do an efficient, gentle cleaning. The kids get a goodie bag with toothpaste, toothbrush, floss and are so excited to pick out a toy after their cleaning. I was in tears of joy throughout my visit for my 7year old son. The staff is so knowledgeable and caring. The staff communicates clearly and kindly. Dr. John is well experienced with his 27 years in this field and it definitely shows. My son and I are so grateful. Nick assisted Dr. John in performing a baby root canal, extraction and a filling on an adult tooth and was very knowledgeable and kind. I walked my son to the bathroom in the middle of his procedure and he was telling me how pleased he was that he didn’t feel anything and that Dr. John and his assistant Nick were continuously checking in with my son and making sure he was comfortable. My son feels safe at the dentist now and he actually enjoyed his visit, believe it or not! Dr. John was so careful, thoughtful and so considerate when he examined my son’s teeth. He really advocates for his patients and it shows that Dr. John loves what he does, in fact the entire staff gives off the same feeling. While I was waiting in the waiting room, nearly in tears for the joy of knowing my son is in great hands, a little girl skips out into the waiting room saying “that was fun!” It made me laugh out loud. I thought where am I? This is unreal. What an incredible experience. I now believe going to the dentist does not have to be a bad experience, and quite frankly South OC makes going to the dentist a very positive one.

Our 20-month old daughter chipped her tooth on Sunday, we called the emergency number and the dr on-call Dr John called us back within ten minutes. We sent him a picture and had an appointment with him on Tuesday. They didn’t do any unnecessary procedures and were quick at assessing the issue. The staff is amazing! From the front desk lady to the hygienist to the dentist to the lady who checked us out and took our payment at the end. They continually checked in and let us know when they had cancellations to get us in sooner. The hygienist explained brushing and flossing thoroughly to my daughter. The dentist described everything in detail so we knew what we were looking at on the X-rays. Also gave good pointers on where to focus on brushing. Love this office!

I’m so glad I found this pediatric dentistry. I enjoyed the promptness of sending the new patient paperwork to home to save time with my little ones prior to going into the office. The receptionist welcomed us with a genuine warm smile and also as we left. The lobby area was clean and tidy. My 2-year old son felt comfortable in the office even though he’s typically more shy and hesitant in new places. Sarah was also patient and attentive with him while showing him and explaining the different tools she was using. I enjoyed interacting with her as well. The doctor was also great with my son. I appreciated how quick and efficient they were especially with having 2 of my kids with me. The handwritten thank you card after our visit is definitely above and beyond. Will definitely keep coming here and will bring my daughter as her teeth start coming in. Thank you for a great experience! Update: I just took my 19month old daughter in and honestly I’m STILL so happy we’ve found this place! Everyone genuinely seems to enjoy working here. I love how they interact with my kids and how patient they are with them to make them feel comfortable. I also feel safe with the Covid precautions they take. We’ll be going here for several years to come.

I’m a big believer in pediatric dental offices for kids- and this one in particular! The dentist and dental hygienists have all been absolutely amazing for the couple of years we have been going here. It makes the whole experience for my 4 year old and 2 year old sooo much better than it would be at a normal dental office. Next your kids need braces!! Dr. Carter is the Orthodontist extension of the business and the care continues consistently!! They are all also a wonderful bunch! We’ve been a client of Dr. Wu’s for 7 years now and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Wu and his team are amazing. Working with and being around children seems to come natural to them and they make my kids and myself very comfortable. One of my favorite things they do is tell the kids everything they are going to do before they do it and even show them the tools. The whole office is well laid out, very clean and inviting. They have a photo booth, fish tank and even video games. They also have done a good job of adjusting to the Covid requirements for visits and make us feel very safe. Dr. Wu is hands down is an awesome pediatric dentist! His staff is an amazing group of professionals who took the time to really work with our 4 year old daughter to make her feel comfortable and welcomed. She was allowed to touch the instruments before they were put in her mouth, she picked the flavor of her treatment, she enjoyed watching the movie on the ceiling during her dental exam. She was a little upset with the suction tool, but the staff was patient and kind, not pushy or causing stress. She was a champ during X-RAYS and her favorite part --picking a toy-- made her appointment great. I appreciated Dr. Wu's bedside manner and explaining in detail the findings and getting to understand our daughter's previous dental history during our discussion. Cheers to you Dr. Wu and team!

Dr. Wu and his staff were so compassionate and professional. We had to be seen for an emergency dental evaluation- his staff made sure to make the appointment prompt and answer my questions. Update: another great visit. I have one easy kiddo and one who needs a lot of patience during dentist visits. The whole team were receptive to listening to my son and adjusting as needed to get the job done but not stress him out since he was not liking it. I very much appreciate all of the time spent with my kids and explaining everything to me! Had a great appointment at South OC Pediatric Dentistry today! Everything from booking the appointment over text (thank you!) to all of the COVID precautions- this place is great. They booked my 3yo and 5yo's appointments at the same time so there was no waiting for one to finish. Both hygienists and dentist were patient, kind, and attuned to my kids' reactions to the appointment- making adjustments the whole time to ensure a positive experience for everyone. You guys are the best!

Highly recommend! I went here because of the positive reviews and definitely was not disappointed. The staff was so nice and the atmosphere of the office was very relaxing and calming. This office knocks pediatric dentistry out of the park. It's like a dental Home Run. Technology is up to date, procedures are dialed in, everything runs like a well oiled machine. On top of that, the staff is incredibly talented, kind, and create a safe and fun environment for children. My daughter is not an easy child; she tends to be anxious and overwhelm easily. She absolutely looks forward to visiting the office beginning with the friendly receptionists, along with the wonderful hygienist (Sarah) and not to be outdone by the fabulous Dr. Wu. It is an absolute pleasure and relief to trust them with my children's care. Looking forward to my twins' first visit next week. I'm sure they will be equally enthralled with all of the delights this office has to offer. It's like they don't even know they are getting their teeth cleaned :)

My husband and I recently brought our three sons in. Our youngest had his first check-up and it was a nice reminder of how well our two older son’s first exams went. The staff is very kind and every procedure is thorough. My middle child is shy and during our recent visit the dental hygienist worked to make him feel comfortable (never pushy) so they could conduct an exam. Our recent visit was scheduled via text and it was the easiest appointment to get all three of my kids in at once. The option for paperwork to be handled in advance was in place to make the visit even smoother. It’s clear that every touch point has been thought through. The staff guides you through every step from check-in until you leave. I’ve always left happy with the level of care my family receives and highly recommend South OC Pediatric Denistry to anyone with children. A big thank you to the staff!! I brought my 4 year old son in for the first time after having a not so great experience with a previous dentist. I was so pleased with South OC Pediatric Dentistry and how quickly they were able to get us in and made me feel like they genuinely cared. This was an unbelievably great experience for my 2.5 yr old daughter. She LOVED every second of her appointment and even had to get an X-ray. It was her first cleaning and the staff made it amazing. I really don’t like the dentist but I always feel super comfortable and cared for when I go to South OC. They make the experience so easy and the staff as so sweet and encouraging through my fear. They are taking temperatures and providing hand sanitizer upon arrival and having patients fill out a COVID-19 survey prior to even stepping foot in the office to ensure safety. I have been coming here since I was 3 years old and the staff genuinely feel more like family and I am truly bummed that I will be too old to continue going here soon.

I needed a new dentist and was happy to find my son’s pediatric dentist was now doing Adult dentistry. Made an apt and COVID hit but waited and finally went today. All precautions were made to make sure you are safe. Such a warm reception and the hygienist was super friendly. Dr Jane explained all her findings and I was impressed that she gives advice and didn’t push procedures on you. Dr Jane is very easy to talk to and if you’re looking for a new dentist, she’s it! Glad to see that all the wonderful reasons we went to Dr Delorme can happen for us big kids too!!

Our daughters have been going to South OC Pediatric Dentistry for the last few years, since infancy. The doctors and staff here are all amazing! They made everything so comfortable for us to visit, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. From a screening questionnaire, to taking your temperature at the door, providing sanitized pens to complete forms with, the entire visit was, as always, wonderful! Great experience! I got a last minute appointment about a week after I called. Dr. DeLorme and his staff have always been accommodating and professional. They were great with the COVID 19 precautions, had our own isolated exam room, 6 feet of distancing, temperature check with alcohol gels everywhere. My kids love going to the dentist... Do I need to say more? The entire staff is friendly and genuinely cares about making dental care fun for the kids. Pre-covid they had a ton of fun toys in the waiting room and a picture booth, but that's all been put away in the interest of keeping a clean environment... They're upholding top notch screening now to ensure that everyone stays safe during your visit, and make sure that every surface is disinfected after use. They are even have movies playing above the chairs to help keep kids happy when they need to sit still. If you're looking for a great dentist who sincerely cares about your kids, you really can't do better than South OC Pediatric Dentistry.

His confidence made us feel confident in his work and our son’s front teeth turned out great. We then took our 3yo in for his very first visit and he interacted wonderfully with him. Bright, clean office and friendly staff. Dr. Wu and his staff were all fantastic. The cleaning and exam appeared to be thorough and Dr. Wu pointed out some areas to pay attention when brushing. My daughter was actually excited to go to the dentist and looks forward to going back! They did a good job with COVID protection measures. Hand sanitizer and temp check before entering office, people spaced out well in the waiting area, staff all had their PPE on.

Awesome experience Everytime! My kids do the dentist like a champ because of this place! When I was a kid I hated the dentist. They even have cool toys kids actually want! They explain everything to us parents, include us in the x-rays, talk to us about new incoming teeth, and potential for teeth straightening. Everything is streamlined as well. This is not a waste of the day, it is about as in and out as it can be. Pleased and impressed every time!

I highly recommend South OC Pediatric Dentistry! My 11 month old was supposed to see Dr. De Lorme for his first dental appointment when the stay-at-home orders went into effect (we’ve been patients since my oldest’s (3 year old) first dental visit). Lynne walked me through changing to a virtual appointment, including calling my insurance provider in advance to let me know the coverage details. The virtual appointment was easy to set-up and I was able to jump on a face-time call with Dr. De Lorme (I am not tech-savvy by nature - and the process was easy! Lynne was also standing by to ensure a smooth connection), Dr. De Lorme was even able to pull up charts to share on the screen and I was able to text photos to be added to my little one’s chart! It was re-assuring to ask several questions I had and discuss dental care for my child. As always, Dr. De Lorme was knowledgeable, kind, and patient (understanding a wiggly/distracted little guy!). I’m so grateful for the wonderful care my children receive from Dr. De Lorme (and his team!) and that even in this interesting time we can keep regular visits moving forward. Whether in-person or virtual we receive the same first class experience and are glad our children are patients of South OC Pediatric Dentistry!

Such a friendly and well organized practice. Unbelievably great with the kids! They have a huge fish tank with “Nemo” and “Dory” right when you walk into the lobby. My daughter loves it! Big smiles and friendly staff greet you. Stickers for the kids at check in and a photo booth. Once your child is brought back they have movies playing and stuffed animals with teeth so your little one can practice brushing. The dentists are just so great and thorough as are the hygienists. Your child gets to choose a small toy at the end of the visit. I highly recommend this place! A+++

They were on time which I appreciate. The decor was very nice, clean modern and fun. Every staff member I encountered was so nice and offered my daughter so many things to keep her entertained during the visit. Dr. John must have a presence kids love because my 14 month old let him do an entire exam without crying. I'll definitely be back.

My children have been going to this office since they were little and even though they are 17 and 20, they don't want to leave these dentists that they love so much. Both dentists in this office are FANTASTIC. I don't even request one or the other because they are both so good. The front office staff is also extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My children have also been over to the orthodonture office affiliated with this one and Dr. Carter is also amazing! South OC is just incredible, from reception to check-out, this office goes above & beyond. My kids have been patients here for 3 years now (ages 8 & 11) & they’ve always felt so comfortable. They’ve had cleanings, x-rays, cavities filled, & one tooth wiggled out, all with the most gentle care. My kids have been seen by Dr DeLorme, Dr Wu & Dr Carillo & they can’t pick a favorite, they are all so good! The staff treats my kids like their own, they are all so sweet. My kids are always excited for their appointments & they ask to get there early so they can see the fish tank, take a photo in the photo-booth & play video games. Office is VERY kid friendly and clean! My three kids ages 3 5 & 7 look forward to every cleaning. Dr. John told my daughter I bet by your next visit that tooth will be gone. Ha, he was right! My middle guy did have a cavity to be filled. All I’m going to say is..I wish I had a dentist as good as Dr De Lorme when I was a kid! My son didn’t even realize he was given a Novocain shot! I hate to admit it, my son will cry over anything. I was amazed! Well, it so happens that the filling snags when flossing. At my sons exam yesterday Dr De Lorme mentioned it to me and apologized that the cavity wasn’t smoother and offered to correct it at no cost before I could say it was a concern of mine. He was even more so knowing he’d have to numb my son again a little. I’m confident we will have another amazing experience. He’s an honest dentist with a great staff!

Dr. Sam is TERRIFIC and took plenty of time, and asked a lot of questions to help build my son's treatment plan and care with me,. He is knowledgeable and very likeable. I cannot say enough good about the front desk team. As kids were exiting the care area and parents were going to set up follow up appointments, the first question asked of each parent is "where does your child go to school?" They then pulled up that school's calendar and schedule to help the parents with setting up appointments around their cihld's school. It's a HUGELY thoughtful and considerate step to take to help out busy parents, and it made an enormous impression on me. If you are looking for a dentist practice for your children, look no further. They are the real deal and incredibly wonderful.

My girls think going to see the dentist is like going to an indoor play gym! They love it! Dr. Wu and his staff are amazing. They do a really good job of explaining to their patients (in my case, a 5YO and a 2YO) what they’re doing so they are at ease. I wish I had the same experience as an adult with my dentist. Parking is easy, the facility is clean, best of all, they have a ton of goodies to reward the girls after their exams. I’d recommend them without reservation.

Cannot recommend Dr. Delorme enough! He is the best, most gentle and honest dentist you’ll ever take your child to. We had come from another dental office where my daughter had a terrible experience, and his entire office made her feel so comfortable, so unafraid, that now she actually looks forward to and enjoys going to the dentist!! I didn’t think that would ever be possible. He is conservative in his treatment approach, which is so appreciated. Not all dentists are. The office staff is fabulous from reception to the hygienists. I have 4 kids and they literally do cleanings, X-rays and doctor review in less than an hour every single time I come in! Incredible staff that makes my kids feel so comfortable and myself and Dr.Wu is just so great! The best part is they are so honest about what’s going on with my kids teeth. I went to a previous dentist for my kids and they kept telling me my kids had cavities. I came here and suddenly my kids don’t have any. Dr. Wu also understands and educated on how teeth varies and has different characteristics, such as some teeth are more prone to staining than others. And again the staff is phenomenal. We have been taking our 2 kids to S. OC Pediatric Dentistry for 2 years, since our son was 1 and our daughter was 3. We can’t think of one negative thing to say about the group... everything from the office decor and beautiful aquarium, to the friendly receptionist, to the back office staff who are so great at engaging with young kids and helping them feel comfortable, to the entertainment provided for the kids while their teeth are being worked on, to the kind, knowledgeable & informative dentist that Dr. John DeLorme is, to the awesome assortment of prize options, stickers, tattoos, games, and a photo booth that make the experience so fun for kids, they don’t even realize they’re at the dentist! I read an article today about how 3 year olds often dislike going to the dentist because they associate the white coats that the dentists wear with the ones that their pediatricians wear when they go to the doctor and get painful shots... that was surprising to me because my 3 year old son had his check up earlier this week and absolutely loved the whole experience! So South OC Pediatric Dentistry has mastered the art of defying the odds and making going to the dentist an enjoyable experience for young children!

When my son first started going to this dentist, he was terrified. Dentist Chris Carillo was amazing with him. He's been 3 times now and this last time he was super brave, sat in the big chair, and even handled getting X-rays really well. My youngest is now going too and his experience was very positive. I wish the hygienists were as friendly. Both that we worked with were visibly annoyed at our no-fluoride requests (the kids are 3 and under!), and one had an abrupt reaction to discovering that my 24m old still breastfeeds occasionally. It was a little disappointing. Good thing the dentist was impressed by the health of the boys' teeth! No cavities or concerns!

He always gives great advice and treats the children with respect. The office is not "around the corner" from us, but going there is worth the trip. As a bonus, the support staff are also top notch. This is our second visit for my 2 yr old. After the first visit, she was very enthusiastic about brushing her own teeth and regularly does it (and well) by herself. They are extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I have not seen one dental technician / dentist fail to give the necessary time and attention to make the children feel comfortable about having a "stranger" stick fingers, brushes, mirrors, suction tubes, etc in their mouths. Nothing but full praise and we look forward to coming back in 6 months for our next check-up.

Dr. John was our angel dentist when we first brought in our son Romeo, at 4 years old, still recovering from trauma from his first "pediatric" dentist. Dr. John and his staff immediately took care of our son and wiped out any trace of fear and anxiety from him on that very first visit! Romeo is now 16 and his sister, Ysabella, 14 and I dread the day that they could no longer come to this office for their dental needs! It is just one less thing to worry about with all the stress of parenting these days! Thank you from the bottom of my heart of hearts!

All 3 of my daughters go to South OC, we have been going there for 17 years. My oldest daughter (19), even though an adult, refuses to switch to another dental office and says she will continue to go there until she gets kicked out because she is too old! They all love it there. Funniest thing is that my daughter said she didn't want to go to another dentist because she heard other dentists give shots and Dr. Delorme doesn’t. I told her “Of course they do, how else would you get your fillings done and you felt numb after right?”. She said “That was a shot?”. You can’t find a better place! Where your kids love going there and don’t even know when they get shots! I might switch from my regular dentist! A very grateful mom :)

Prior to going to Dr. Delorme my boys had gone to another dentist and I was not happy with how the hygienist or dentist really worked on helping the kids understand how to brush and floss. Dr. Delorme and his staff really do a good job with this and though my boys are not perfect in this area they are seeing more of the importance. It's always great to have the reinforcement at your dentist office. Dr. Delorme is a super dentist and I can always trust his honest feedback on orthodontic work recommended too. The staff is helpful and great too! The boys really like him and they are now 17 and 14!!

There were many instances when other dentists would have pushed for this and that. But he has always been conservative and reliable. My boys love coming here, and so do I. The staff is great!
