I fill that if you are African American you are going to go through a lot when you child has medical and was told they need braces bad the dental are not going to send it to medical cause they don’t want to say you child is a t 26 of point when they have problems with eating and over crowded teeth the dentist still want you to pay a high amount down and a high payment I was not even off the payment that is advised on the wall
I’m truly sorry for your experience and that the Medi-Cal process wasn’t explained clearly enough. I know how stressful it feels when your child needs braces, and we never want any family to feel unsupported. Medi-Cal uses a very strict state-set scoring system for orthodontic approvals that all offices must follow.
We wish it covered more children, and we’re here to help you navigate it. With your approval, we can also courtesy-submit your child’s orthodontic models and records to Medi-Cal so you can receive an official decision directly from them.

I had a generally good experience at this dental office. I was seen fairly quickly, which I appreciated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The office itself looks new and clean, which made me feel comfortable. The waiting room is a bit small, but it wasn’t a big issue for me. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like my specific needs weren’t fully listened to. I had requested a local anesthetic before they administered the main injection, but they didn’t wait long enough for it to take effect, so the injection was still painful. That part was disappointing because I had clearly expressed my concern.

My Son has Autism, And this was the 1st time he lets him self get X-rays. Julie was so amazing and understanding with him and me. She was so patient while taking his x-rays and super cheering with him that he even stopped crying and started to smile and we were looking at the “pictures” (x-rays) together. First time visiting this office for our toddlers first dental exam and it was amazing! The staff greet you as soon as you walk in the door and answer any questions you may have. My toddler was scared for their first visit, but they made sure to make him feel at home :-) they display a tv screen above the patients head as entertainment and I think that’s great. I highly recommend this Dental office. My Baby Girl got hit during a softball game. So we needed emergency Services. Without hesitation, they offered a same day visit. I had a wonderful experience at Sola Kids Dental. I brought in my 2 year old for her first dental checkup and being my first baby I was extremely worried about how she’d do. I was really happy though because everyone there was amazing. They were all so patient and you can tell that they really love what they do. They took their time with my child and didn’t force her to do anything that she didn’t feel comfortable with. Maria who was at the front desk was also really sweet. She took her time answering my questions and I felt a million times more comfortable. Definitely a 10/10 experience. Update: I’ve now been bringing my daughter for continuous check ups and I'm definitely keeping Sola Kids as her permanent dentist. Every visit has been wonderful and the staff is always extremely kind and patient.

Yes, is a children's dentist but Dr.Laura is amazing. I had not visited a dentist for over 10 years. They do see adults, she made me feel so comfortable and even offered me laughing gas to calm my jaw. It's been a 5 year on going relationship going strong. We have been coming to this dentist since my daughter turned two but to the original location. When they opened up the MLK location, we decided to come here. The parking situation is much better since it’s in a small shopping center. I then had two more kids and also brought them here. The staff is always kind and accommodating. The doctor always explains the situations. It’s nice to come to a place that recognizes my kids. My kids love coming here for all their amenities. Very clean and modern.

Ive been to Solar Kids a few times now & have had nothing short of an amazing, & comfortable experience ! Very friendly environment, clean establishment, professional, and great with how appointments are set up, as well as their time management. Would greatly recommend getting service/treatment with Marlin, & Dr.Katz. Also if you’re getting root canal you have nothing to worry about Dr.Aron will get you right and take care of you. Will also break down your entire procedure if need be. Side note, this place isn’t just for kids. I know the name would lead you to believe that. But I am 22 and getting serviced here.

Great dentist office for the kids. Thank you Update: I would travel to this dentist from a far distance to me because I liked the care however I had issues with the appointments. I got text messages to go and when I showed up they were not available. Also I didn’t like the care of my 2 year old dental care.

Jocelyn, the young lady at the front, checked me in right away and was super quick with processing my information. Cindy was a big help as well-she was respectful and efficient when I made my appointment over the phone, making the whole process smooth. Lastly, Sabrina was fantastic in helping schedule my kids' future appointments in the room, and she was so kind and attentive to them. WE NEEDED AN AMAZING DENTIST IN THE HOOD AND SOLA KIDS DENTAL IS IT! Def. recommend everyone who lives near by to go. When I called to schedule, Cindy made the process smooth. Super friendly and welcoming office. The girls at the front desk are always so friendly. When calling to make appointments, their call center is always so helpful and makes scheduling appointments a breeze. The girl i believe her name is sabrina, which coordinates my kids' appointments to my schedule is very helpful. Overall, I definitely recommend this dental office. I love the atmosphere in this office! I’m always so hesitant on taking my kids to the dentist due to trauma but the is office is amazing! They have so much patience for kids and the staff is amazing. I was able to speak with Ale the manager about the office and how everything works along with Sabrina - she made sure my kids future appointments coordinated with my schedule. I def recommend this office!
