I am so impressed with this pediatric dentistry practice! Everyone I spoke to was SO welcoming!! They went above and beyond to make sure my 4 year old was comfortable and the practice in itself is beautiful! Kids will definitely love the forrest themed setup

I’ve been to a few pediatric dentists and this one was far and away the best. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a jungle I’m jungle and friendly staff. Everything is run very timely and clean. Dr. Joi Shaw Morrison is so sweet, good with the kids, and communicate very effectively to the parents.

Our first time visiting loved the experience. Very welcoming my baby smiled though out his cleaning. I really liked they got straight to work I did not waste any time. Great experience!

This place was so warm and welcoming, my daughters amya first visit and it’s so beautiful and inviting & the front office, assistance as well as the doctor was amazing!

God forbid your child has a gag reflex because the dentist here is impatient. She will require your kid have the goofy gas or be sedated next visit if your child has another cavity visit... had to take my child elsewhere. They think kids are robots here and ALL are the same... AVOID.

My second daughter had so much anxiety going to the dentist, the office we were attending was not kid friendly (even though they had all the gadgets in the front), and it was never a happy experience. I looked online and read a review on how kind, patient and attentive they were. It was all true. We are a family of 6 now, we have moved farther away from the office but the drive is worth it. I was referred to Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry 4 years ago & I’ve been taking my daughter there ever since. Every one is super friendly and give the greatest service! Dr. Joi is so awesome and loves what she does to keep our little ones smiling & having healthy teeth! I love seeing my daughter excited to go to the dentist & I highly recommend this office & won’t stop recommending them! This place was good starting off taking my daughter here 3 years ago.But recently when trying to book an appointment here due to illness and my husband working out of town, they weren’t so great. How can you dismiss a patient you never seen before. Although the dentist took care of my child dental needs while I took my child here …. The front desk wasn’t so great , the woman is great but I’m not sure of the guy working in the front desk not sure how he fits in to the welcoming of the place. , he has a rude tone to him! This place has become not the place I want to bring my child to when it comes to their dental needs anymore!l

Dr. Joi is awesome! At a recent appt. one of my kids had a procedure that she had been feeling nervous about. She ended up doing very well—Dr. Joi even remarked at how impressed she was with how calm and cooperative this kid had been. I think this is really a credit to how well Dr. Joi does her job. The kids and I know they are in good hands, from her technical expertise to her bedside manner, Dr. Joi and her staff are #1. My kids have been going to Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry since they were toddlers, and are now entering the teen years. From regular cleanings and different procedures, to coordinating with our orthodontist, our experience has been great.

The office staff here is INCOMPETENT! We have been taking our son here for years and our insurance never CHANGED! THEY DROPPED OUT OF NETWORK and never informed us. The office manager claims they told us via phone, the office worker said it was done person and another person told us we were told via email. WHAT IS IT? Story is not together and now the bill is in collections. ITS NEVER GETTING PAID and I would never recommend anyone to this dentist.

Dr. Shaw Morrison and her team are a caring group. They take care of any fears the kids have, are clean, and are very safe for the times we live in. For instance, families are kept in separate rooms to ensure no cross-contamination. Appointments are easy, and reminders are always given. The quality of service, from cleanings to procedures, is A+. My wife took our kids here to get a cleaning. They did not even check to see if they took our insurance like most place when you book an appointment. Then when the cleaning was done they wanted 900 bucks to clean kids teeth. This place does not care about kids teeth. They care about money and will do what ever types of stragies to make you pay more than you want. The charge 100 dollars for cancelation, recommend treat kids don't need, like getting kids root canals on teeth that are going to fall out anyway, and not asking for your insurance at appointment bookings. I would not takey family to doctor Joy! More like doctor give me a paycheck!

We are so happy to have found Pinnacle Pediatric 9 years ago! We have received and continue to receive excellent care from Dr. Shaw. The technicians are caring and patient. I am always impressed with their handling of one child that doesn't like anyone to touch his teeth. Highly recommend!

The dentist here is amazing. My oldest son had surgery and she explained everything to me and called the night we came home to check on him! My youngest is difficult about getting x-rays done and the technician who did took the x-rays was patient and understanding with him. She made sure to tell him he was doing amazing and gave him a sticker but what I really loved is how after she was done doing them she got on his level and told him she was sorry (because he was crying). She did not have to do that but he and I greatly appreciated it. I recommend this dentist to everyone because the dentist and staff is just amazing!!

Love Love Love Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry. Was able to see our favorite dentist, Dr Joi Shaw Morrison. She is my favorite because she is personable and explains what she is doing and what is needed to myself and my 15 yr old daughter where we both can understand. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is kid friendly and welcoming. Go in feeling happy and always leave out smiling because of them. I send all my friends and family. Too bad they don't take adults.

Son had an extra tooth in between his front tooth. We had to wait a while for the extraction appointment, so schedule in advance. We had missed dental appts during COVID, so the tooth was an unpleasant surprise. Once appt day came, they put on his favorite show and handled it quickly without him getting antsy. (He ,age 5, wanted to stay awake so we chose laughing gas. no noted side effects) It healed quickly and he was eating normally a few days later. They explained everything well as far as what to expect and hope for. (His adult tooth twisting back into place, without losing his baby teeth prematurely due to before loose after extraction) and gave me a time to process everything before any decisions were made. It's been about a month and everything looks great so far. Much appreciated.

Dr. Joi Shaw Morrison provided EXCELLENT CARE to our 9 year old grandson who was in town while on vacation. He was an emergency appointment whom she graciously agreed to fit in on a busy Monday! Her staff was courteous and professional and she was just wonderful in the way she handled a child who had never met or seen her before! She made him feel comfortable, relaxed and virtually unafraid. She worked with us giving him treatment options so that his dental issue was appropriately addressed, while being very considerate of our desire to allow him to enjoy his vacation in Houston. Dr. Morrison in a word, is a JEWEL?!!!

BEWARE!! Dentist claimed my kid had 6 cavities. We got two second opinions and they both stated my child has 2 cavities. The others were not cavities yet and did not need work if we brush and floss properly moving forward. If we didn’t get a second opinion we would have spent a significant amount of money and got unneeded work done to my child’s teeth! Why try to put a child through that for material gain for yourself? This is unethical. Either the dentist made a HUGE mistake or tried to scam us out of money at my child’s expense. Either way, this is unethical and uncalled for. BEWARE!!!

I love this dentist!!!! They work so well with children and there bedside manner it outstanding. The best thing is they work with Texas Children Hospital to make sure u have the best option for your child. I would highly recommend taking your child to this dentist especially if they had a bad experience before!!!

Hands down for me, Dr. Shaw and her crew are wonderful and professional. Since my children were 2 and 4, I've brought them to Pinnacle Pediatric. My children are now 12 & 10 and I can tell you that every visit we've had, has been great. Dr. Shaw has never rushed us through (even when there are several other patients waiting) and she ALWAYS goes through the complete details of my children's teeth and what they should and should not be doing with their brushing, flossing and rinsing. As we are now in the process of moving to Dallas, more than anything I wish I could pack with me, would be Dr. Shaw and her office.

My daughter had the unfortunate chance of experiencing dental trauma, due to a hard fall from the bed. She lost 2 teeth & one was left hanging. I was devastated, being I’m her mom & wasn’t fast enough to catch her before the fall & most importantly, bc she is only 21 months (1 yr.) After leaving the Emergency room upset, I was referred to Dr. Joi Shaw for an emergency appointment. So, the next morning, I called & she was able to get me in ASAP. From the first time I arrived, her staff were very welcoming & friendly, the office was clean, & the environment was just great overall. I then had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Shaw. She was very compassionate, knowledgeable, patient & even shared her personal experiences of being a mom & having a child who chipped their tooth at a young age. During my daughter’s extraction, Dr. Shaw & her staff worked together, without any confusion & got the job done! Dr. Shaw called to check on us after each visit, which stood out to me. She really cares & gave me hope! 1 week later, and my daughter is doing fine & her mouth has healed tremendously! I called to set a second opinion appointment for my 4 year old son. After I asked if I could bring in the x-rays for his appointment which was less than a week ago, the receptionist stated "her" dentist did not accept another dentist's x-rays. "She likes to do her own." It appears to me the dentist is more interested in generating revenue to pay for her x-ray machine than exposing a growing child to additional x-rays. Needless to say, we went elsewhere for the second opinion.

I have to share Today’s experience @ Pinnacle Pediatrics, I might help someone that’s on the fence in trying to find a Dentist for their most precious gifts(children). My 8yo daughter had 2 teeth pulled & 2 fillings w/sedation. Heck yes I was nervous BUT when my baby did not flinch during the ‘shot’ OR extractions/fillings it almost brought me to tears—Joyful cry though. She then asked Dr. Shaw if she was done w/EVERYTHING—she couldn’t believe it was Over right when she thought she was just beginning....Absolutely Priceless!!! We’re so grateful

I enthusiastically refer all my family, friends, Poe Elementary PTO parents, Rice University classmates, swim parents, PVU classmates, church members - well, you get the picture - to Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Shaw and the staff are professional, compassionate and the facilities are second to none. Every time my Z has an appointment, Dr. Shaw never fails to follow up with an evening phone call to check on her well-being and has done so for years now. Whether an emergency arises and my daughter needs a critical appointment or she simply would like to see her dentist at extracurricular activities, Dr. Shaw is there with the same tenacity on which her practice is established. I had previously taken my 6 year old daughter to another dentist after she fell and cause some damage to her front teeth. Needless to say I did not agree with the way the first dentist wanted to treat my daughter. I searched for a pediatric dentist and spoke to some friends and they highly recommended Pinnacle Pediatric; I made an appointment immediately. I WILL SCREAM IT FROM THE ROOF TOP...... Dentist was great and had a good experience. At least until I got the bill. Yikes, make sure you are in network. Took three kids for a exam and cleaning and after insurance still own $104 each.

Dr. Shaw is the best. I took my children to 3 "pediatric" dentists before her and was almost resigned to the possibility that dentists weren't meant to deal with children as I had yet to meet one that seemed truly concerned about their experience in the dentist chair. Dr. Shaw changed all that and all 3 of my kids LOVE going to the dentist! She and her staff are patient and kind and I highly recommend her to anyone who asks!

After visiting several other dental offices and feeling worried and frustrated about the condition of my son's teeth I finally found a place I could recommend to anyone and everyone. Some dentists explained that my son had yellow teeth because of a certain medication he was given as a toddler while others simply said that it was the natural color of his teeth. I didn't understand why his teeth were getting worse if we brushed every morning and night, he has never had a sodas, and I limit the amount of sweets in his diet. My son is only 7 and had seen 6 different dentists and not one of them did the deep cleaning that my son needed. At Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry my son's teeth went from an ugly yellow to literally a beautiful white smile. Besides the great job they did I just have to point out how friendly the staff is. This is truly the dentist I had been desperately searching for. I FINALLY FOUND IT!!

Dr. Shaw and her staff completely changed my attitude about dentists and dental work. My active four-year-old has been a patient since his first year, and he appreciates her compassionate, personable, and gentle manner. She sings softly to him while she examines or cleans his teeth—he's never had a cavity, loves to floss, and is determined to look after his teeth. That's not to say he's never had a bad dental experience: He's fallen twice with painful dental emergencies, once cleanly knocking out a bottom tooth, and another time, traumatically pushing in two top teeth. Dr. Shaw saw us both times on emergency notice, was gentle and reassuring, and straightforward, and she even called after work hours to check on my son. My son loves going to the dentist. Gold chairs and cool sunglasses, and ceiling-mounted TVs make the experience exciting, of course. But there's absolutely no replacement for Dr. Shaw's attentive and compassionate care.

I took my 4 year old there and it is a little out of my way but I would not take him anywhere else. Dr. Shirley is WONDERFUL, very patient and kind. My son had a few caps put on and she called us that afternoon to check on him; which I thought was great! I expected a nurse to call but it was actually the Dr. which shows me that she really does care about her patients. The staff is also very friendly and the office atmosphere puts the kids at ease.

This is the first Dentist I have taken my 4 year old daughter to and the whole staff is very friendly. Dr. Shaw sings while she is doing the exam and also makes you feel at ease while she is doing the exam. I highly recommend this office for all kids.

Dr. Shaw and the staff are great. I highly recommend Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Shaw is great with my 2 children and very patient. The office is very nice and just a great dentist for children!

Just visited for the first time and I highly recommend Dr. Shaw. She is the best pediatric dentist I have ever visited. I wish my dentist would sing to me!
