My overall experience was very positive for my first visit. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent. I came in for a general cleaning but ended up needing a few fillings, which were quick and painless. That said, the cleaning portion felt a bit rushed, as the entire appointment, including fillings, was done in 44 minutes. My teeth didn’t feel as clean as they usually do after similar appointments. Despite this, I would consider returning for the great service and friendly staff.

Dr. Ashouri has been the kindest, most proficient, and best dentist I have encountered in Houston. He and his assistants and hygeinists have performed cleanings, a tooth extraction, and are in the process of fixing my smile. As they take BCBSTX, theyre doing it for a very reasonable price. The people at Pearl Dentistry are courteous, polite, kind, and accomodating. They run an efficient ship. Pearl Dentistry is my go-to for dental work from now on.

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. This is the worst dentist I have ever been to. All he wants is your money. I have had 0 cavities my entire life and have been told time and time again I have great teeth. I went here 2 times and was told I had 3 cavities and multiple other teeth on watch. After my second appointment, I went to get a second opinion and was told I had stains on my teeth, very obviously NOT cavities. The rest of the practice is terrible too. My cleaning took all of 3 minutes — pretty sure I do a better job at home. They relentlessly tried to get me to buy things I don’t need (sealant on my teeth, Invisalign, a waterpik…). To top it off, customer service is horrific. I waited over 30 minutes for both appointments with no explanation or apologies. They pay more attention to a dog they have stored away under a counter than they do to you when you’re checking in or out. If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Do not recommend.

Wonderful visit! I just moved here and was looking for my dentist and I have found them. I am experiencing some pretty bad gum disease and some other issues. They did a really good job at explaining my treatment plan and made sure I understood everything before they did anything. They numbed me for my cleaning because they knew it would hurt due to my swollen gums. When they numbed me the dentist was as gentle as possible and the assistant let me squeeze her hand. After a deep clean it already looks so much better! I felt cared for and valued. 100% recommend Pearl Dentistry!

Very great place, i have not been to the dentist since high school due to childhood trauma but this location is very well maintained & the clinic staff were all friendly. Dr. Sodi kept checking up on me during my procedure and made sure i was comfortable. All my questions were answered and did not feel rushed. My first appointment was on Monday, May 1st. I was told at that time that the office staff would check with my insurance company to see what they would cover and what expenses I would incur. It is now Friday May 5th and I haven’t received any information from them. Very disappointing.

Dr. Sodi has been professional, patient, demonatrates great knowledge and really cares about how i feel after my crown and Porcelain installations. He continued to work on them until my desired results became obviously evident. Ruben, the Director of the practice was also kind and considerate by having their practice absorbe 100% of the cost associated with the fixing of my not-so-great teeth previously installed by their former resident doctor, Dr. Ibrahim. Awesome experience!! Annabel is a very good and friendly hygienist. Decorating and comfort of the dentist chair is fantastic! I would love to get my house decorated like the lobby very cool!! Dentist was very knowledgeable and showed me the two cavities I have on the X-ray so I know exactly what needs to be done. Also, you will never miss an appointment they have very thorough reminder system. This is a follow-up to my first review above. Had three cavities filled today. I was first greeted by two friendly desk ladies Jessica and Jamey. Next I went back and had my cavities filled by Dr. Ibrahim. He was great and explained everything he was doing and took a lot of time to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied. He was assisted by Jessica Acosta and she was super nice and was very professional. I was even greated again by Annabel while I was waiting for my gums to numb before my procedure. Overall a 5 star two appointment experience. Keep up the great work Team Pearl!!!

Came in for a broken tooth .Office environment was clean.person that answers the phones is rude and unprofessional. Wide awake for extraction do not recommend extremely painful.Given over the counter Motrin as pain relief after extraction and stitches in gums. Called next day to complain about severe pain. Told to call back in 5 days if I am still in pain. No thanks jigsaw will definitely not be returning to a hackjob that doesn't listen to patients needs because not every person is the same regarding pain tolerance. Was gonna bring my kids here but will definitely pass on that idea. Do not recommend told me to take over the counter drugs for pain definitely a hackjob. Or maybe it was because Im black who knows but I do not recommend services here.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! If I could give a 0 stars I would. I came here for a cleaning, but of course I had to get X-rays first. After X-rays, I was told I couldn’t get a cleaning because I needed crowns, a root canal, and treatment for gum disease. I’ve never had an issue with my teeth, and couldn’t understand how all of these things could be a problem, yet I had no symptoms indicating an issue. The fact that they were eager to do all of the listed work immediately that day should have been my first clue they were out to make a quick buck. After they used multiple scare tactics to get me to agree to their services, I politely declined and let them know I would be getting a second opinion. I sent them an email requesting that my X-rays be sent to my new dental office, and it took them almost a month to get me my X-rays. When I went to the new dental office for a second opinion, the dentist (who has been in the business for decades) saw absolutely no issues other than a need for a cleaning. I can’t believe a company would be so greedy that they are willing to lose clients by trying to take advantage. Even worse is the fact that many innocent people probably believed this dentist and have been scammed. This is a poor excuse for a business and I’m filing a report with the BBB.

Read the 1 star reviews - they are accurate. The most incompetent group. They have multiple systems for billing which have different records of what was paid. Even as I'm waiting in the lobby, they explained to another customer why what they said over the phone wasn't accurate and that he would be billed more for the visit. The same incompetence is there in scheduling. Don't go anywhere near this dumpster fire of operations. To make matters worse the care had dropped in quality since 2018. Stay away.

Gonna get right to the objective point. Was a patient here for 2 years, 5 visits (4 cleanings + 1 filling appointment). I want to start by saying this is not personal and as a former business owner, I know what a one star rating can do to a business. That said, I still feel compelled to share my personal experience with others. Pros: - Front desk personnel and dentists were nice. - Competency of dentists was high - Filled a cavity and had no issues - Hip, modern waiting room designed to target the younger demographic Cons - Scheduling: Didn’t matter if I setup an appointment 6 months out with the receptionist. Without fail, several days before the appt., I’d get a notice telling me my appointment was set for a different time on a different date leaving me confused. On two separate occasions, I came in to the office based on the automated email notification just to be told: “Sorry, you don’t have an appointment today. Our systems have been acting funny.” - Wait time: Again, went 5x over two years and waited to be seen by the doctor at least an hour every time. I started to have to plan for the delay ahead of time, hoping it would eventually get better. Phones: On average, I was forced to call atleast 4 times over the course of 24 hours to reach the receptionist. I often left voicemails, but my efforts were futile. Calls were never returned. - Buyer beware: My insurance covered 1 x-ray a year. The hygienist claimed most insurances cover 2. Be sure you check your coverage and speak up or you’ll be charged. Happened to me. New patient forms: 4 out of the 5 visits, I had to “update” my forms and give them my insurance card due to “system issues”. After the first time, I understood, but 2 years in and still filling out the same form? Plain Frustrating. Conclusion: The business operations of Pearl Dentistry makes me question how they’re even able to sustain a client base. Have 2 friends who never came back after their first experience. I stayed bc I made the choice and wanted to see it through, hoping things would get better. Unfortunately, systemic operations continued to sink as time went on. A message to Pearl Dentistry: I’m writing this review to hopefully draw attention to the reality of your patient experience. As I sit here in this chair for a 3:00 pm appointment and it is now 4:10 pm without a single update from anybody, I urge you to invest resources into improving client experience. Your people are good. Your process and systems need a complete overhaul. I wish you the very best. Good luck.

Avoid this place. They cancelled my first appointment without notifying me. When I came back they quoted me thousands of dollars of dental work for things no dentist has ever told me before (teeth grinding, crowns, etc). Huge waste of time here.

I feel like I’ve seen 3-4 different dentists and many hygienists here. The turnaround on doctors here is crazy which doesn’t make me feel great. Expect to wait 30 mins - 1 hour after your appointment for each visit (my experience the last 4 visits) and expect a very rushed cleaning. This will certainly be my last time visiting.

I recently moved to Houston and was in search for a new dentist. I have found them! I won't go anywhere else unless I leave Texas! I tried one other place and although the dentist was nice, the hygienist destroyed my gums during the cleaning. It felt like I was in a torture chamber! Whereas Erika at Pearl Dentistry is the best hygienist that I have ever gone to. She's nice and thorough but also gentle! Dr Grover was very nice as well. Further, their office is clean and they have a little snack bar. I am driven solely by food so that was a great perk for me. ?

The staff is very friendly, but everytime I go there, there is a new dentist. I must have seen atleast 5 dentist there. I wonder why they cannot keep a dentist. Also, they are terrible about following up, and they hardly answer the phones. The worst experience I had, was with the crown that they installed. It took a total of 5 visits to get the crown installed. They molded, then broke the crown. They had to remold. Then the crown did not fit. They just seem like they don't know what they are doing over there.
We are really sorry you had to go through this. We are in a process of trying to find a permanent dentist who is the best fit and we sincerely apologize that your treatment has been inconsistent, we will work on resolving that situation very soon.

Came to Pearl Dentistry in Sawyer Heights after a switch in dental insurance coverage, and had a great first appointment experience with the staff and Dr. Grover. They diagnosed a gum issue I was having, were able to squeeze me in for same-day treatment during my scheduled appointment, and then were very efficient with the procedure itself. Did a great job with explanations in the moment, although I did have to request a post-treatment summary of services recieved, as the only paper they handed me on the way out was a reciept for the out-of-pocket payment (with neither line item details, nor a written copy of the diagnosis info or verbal post-treatment care instructions), but they were very accommodating of that request. Overall great care. Thanks team!

If you are looking for a talented dentist, you searched the right place :) Dr. Grover is one of a kind!! He is very professional and does a wonderful job at keeping my teeth healthy. I've had multiple procedures performed by Dr. Grover and every time it is quick, easy, and painless. He will do anything he can to save a tooth and that is what I love about him. I noticed some of his negative reviews are about billing or waiting time, but I call BS! I have never waited a long period of time before being seen or acknowledged at this office. Some people are just too inpatient and need to realize that Dr. Grover is a DOCTOR and he has other patients to take care of. Sometimes in his profession certain situations arise and may delay his entire day. A child may need extra attention to calm their nerves or it may take more time to tell someone they have oral cancer. We really need to be more understanding and kind to each other. Let's make a change <3 Another complaint I see is about billing issues, but I can assure you that Dr. Grover has always been very ethical. I have referred many of my friends and family to this office and he treats everyone the same regardless of how thick their wallet may be. I have been taken advantage of before by a dentist and it sucks! I was told by a previous dentist that he performed multiple pulp caps on my teeth and billed me for it... When I told Dr. Grover about my previous dental work, he had assured me that there was not a pulp cap done to any of my teeth. This really opened up my eyes to how corrupt this business can be. This is something I pay attention to now and I really trust Dr. Grover. He has completely earned my trust and as long as I am alive he will be my dentist! He has a great heart and will do anything he can to give someone a better quality of life. I feel very lucky that I have found him. The entire staff is truly great! Thank you Pearl Dentistry! It was my first time visiting Pearl.. I was recommended by my friend who goes here and when I told them it was her they remembered! It really makes me happy when a business takes the time to know their regular faces. I wanted to get teeth whitening and they told me i needed a cleaning before it and they did a good job. I like that we can relax and watch something we want while waiting in the chair during the treatment!! My teeth feel spotless and super bright now. Im blown away by the friendliness of the staff and how helpful Ally is! Will definitely come back in a few months to redo my bleaching

DO NOT GO HERE. I came in for an x rays and base cleaning (yearly exam) and they took over 90 minutes. Not only that, but the cleaning was painful and rushed. The water they used to rinse my mouth on more than one occasion flowed down my neck and wet my clothes. They also consistently wiped their gloves on my face. Very unprofessional. I will be returning to my old dentist at Lovett Dental where my experience was 100X better than this!

Terrible experience by both the staff working there and the dentist (Dr Grover). Due to several issues, I HAD to leave the office in the middle of my visit. The focus on the office is: SALES and not the patient best interest AND their COVID protection practices can definitely be improved. If you value your time and want good care, please don't go to Pearl Dental. I saw Dr. Grover. Some examples below: Their big focus was on SALES, recommending unnecessary work. The doctor was using scary tactics saying my wisdom teeth need to be removed because they are affecting my other molars; I am not a dentist, but I had my wisdom teeth for 15 years+ AND these are not affecting my other teeth at all and there is a gap with my other teeth allowing me to floss properly. The opinion of several other dentists (3 different dentists) that have seen my wisdom teeth was to leave them alone and if they give me issues (which they haven't), remove them. Also for the first time in my life I was recommended a deep cleaning. Registration is old school using pen and paper while any other office is electronic. It wasn.t evident that the equipment like the x-ray vest was properly sanitized, etc. Many many more little things like this. As for the STAFF, I couldn't see a more unenthusiastic team. Also, they DONT PICK UP the phone regularly if you need to get in touch with them. It will take you a while. The timing for everything was long as well. They had me sitting there doing nothing for long time at least an hour in total. Finally, I asked to speak with the dentist (Dr Grover), waited for several minutes, and he did not come to have a word with me. Staff said he was "busy".

Went in for a normal routine cleaning. After being there for an hour the Dr. finally came to take a look and said I needed a deep cleaning that would cost me approximately $700 out of pocket. I hadn’t had a cleaning in more than a year but have very healthy teeth (often get compliments from dentists) so politely told them that I was not going with the deep cleaning and only wanted the regular cleaning covered by the insurance; the girl assisting me then told me that the Dr. couldn’t do THAT because it was not what he recommended (at that $$$ tag)... she said she could ask him in case he was willing to do THAT for me (!?!?!), really? So I left! Further more my husband (with the same insurance) gets 1 deep cleaning a year (in a different place) with 90% coverage ... I understand business is tough now days but this was so unethical. Needless to say, won’t be back to a place that does business this way. Very disappointed.
Ms. Young, we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We understand completely how frustrating it may be to have to spend more than expected going in. We can assure you that our doctor is truly a professional and knows his work. He would never recommend a procedure if it was not needed. Due to insurance purposes, what is recommended is the work that shall be done in order for your insurance to approve. Perhaps you might consider switching insurances to one more suitable to your needs? Just a suggestion. We hope you can understand.

Went in for a normal routine cleaning. After a few minutes, was told i need to replace an old crown, deep cleaning, and a filling. They came up with a treatment plan that cost me approximately 750.00 out of pocket. Since having the crown placed (after losing the impression and having to do twice), , my mouth/teeth have never felt the same and i don't mean it in a good way. Since I’ve gotten the crown I’ve had nothing but issues. . I didn't have ANY issues before going to this dental office! Also if you have any anxiety when visiting dental offices, DO NOT go to this one, one of the hygienist told me "you need to calm down" in a rude tone.. WORST experience ever... i hated to even give 1 star, but that's the lowest I could give. Please beware of this place!

I came here for a filling on a chipped tooth. I was told to not eat anything hard for 48 hours and it should be strong and last forever. On the third day it fell off when I wasn't even eating. I called and asked for a refund and they offered to do it again (why would I have them do it again when they did such a great job the first time?). I called again and asked for a refund, was told the office manager would call me back. They never did. I called again, they never returned the call. I called and left a message, they never returned the call. Needless to say, not going back. Just a poor way to run a business.

Wish i could give this place 0 stars because that was the rate of service I got. The one off Taylor in the Target shopping area: worst customer service ever. The girl didn't even let me finish signing in before she took the clipboard away from me and checked me in herself. She couldn't wait. Then sat there for 30 min and no one paid attention to me. They didn't even ask for my insurance. Left that place and crossed the street to Heights Modern Dentistry. Great customer service off the bat there. This place sucks.

Don't ever come here I paid in advance for a treatment that I wanted then changed my mind before it was paid in full. they still have my money and basicly refuse to use it on anything els and tried to say the bridge was ordered and the money got used when i was told they cant order it until it was paid in full, wich it was not. I've had to come back three times for the same tooth and now they're telling me they can't save it, then i call back and they can save it but it has to be by a endodonic specialist all the sudden. First visit my insurance needed to roll over. Second visit it was a temp and they still were confused about the money i wanted to apply to this treatment. This visit the system is down and the same exact tooth that he said he could root canal i just had to wait for my insurance, is now needing to be referred to a specialist even tho its literally the same as when he said he could do it, and the front desk ladys are telling me this. He didnt even see me. I wemt 3 times for the same tooth that is very much saveable and they just keep showing me the door. Ive never in my life walked out of a dentist office 3 times about the same tooth and have nothing done to it and had this much "miscommunication"happen. I also now see why in the like 5 years i have been going here the dentists change like a revolving door. I wanted to give it another chance after the last lady ripped out a tooth and didnt pack it or give me gauze or antiboitics and i ended up in the ER with dry socket. I had a Saturday appointment and showed up but apparently the doors were locked. There was a change of management that failed to inform their customers they no longer take Saturday appointments. They even confirmed my Saturday appointment a few days before! Very unprofessional. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I was able to find another dentist that was very accommodating of my situation and was able to thankfully take me in on short notice. Would recommend Splendid Dental instead.

Went in for normal cleaning and after the exam and X-rays was told I would need a “Deep Periodontal” cleaning. I told the dentist I didn’t think that was necessary and only wanted a regular cleaning as I had never had any type of gum problems. They submitted it to my insurance anyway and it was denied (as it should have been). I called back to schedule the appointment for the cleaning and was told they would only do the deep cleaning since that was what he had diagnosed. So basically they wanted to force me to have a procedure I didn’t want or need and my insurance company denied. If I agreed to the cleaning, I would have to pay out of pocket. Prime example of greed to pad the bill to the insurance company.
We apologize for the misunderstanding, Ms. Shaw. Our dentist's are qualified and professional. If they have made a diagnosis it is imperative to take care of the matter according to insurance. Since you were using your insurance, the dentist had to state the correct diagnosis. That is the insurance policy. If you had paid out-of-pocket, then you may have had a general cleaning only. That is the insurance policy.

Worst experience! Went in for a normal cleaning told me I have a cavity that actually needs a crown instead, which I was later told my a different dentist that the crown was completely unnecessary and that a normal filling would’ve been just fine. Since I’ve gotten the crown I’ve had nothing but issues. First it was incredibly poorly made and fell off a few times and since they shaved down the original tooth so much I then needed a root canal after a year of being in pain. My Husband went through the exact same situation with them and is actually in the process of getting a new crown and root canal done to fix what they did. Avoid!!!

They Didn't Have My Appointment, though they had record of sending me a confirmation by text a week before. As a new patient I called 30 min before to say I was still coming and they didn't have me on the books. "We're short staffed today but come anyway". I did and then it turns out the insurance company (who's member ID info I gave when I made the appt. two weeks earlier) said we need two weeks to process before a new patient can see the new dentist. Disorganized and inefficient to say the least. The Dr. may be good but I'll never know. If the staff or appointment setters aren't capable, they'll sink a business. And did anyone call me today to follow up and apologize? No.

I highly DO NOT recommend this dentistry. I went to get a night guard, and did not even see the doctor! The technician took the mold and failed multiple times. Once she took a “good” one, we were good to go just for Pearl to call us and saying we needed to come back for another time because the mold did not work. This happened on multiple occasions all because the mold either didn’t have all my teeth imprints or didn’t have my molars. Weeks after, I receive my night guard that doesn’t even go to my molars, barely going past my front teeth which was nothing like the one I wanted that would covered all my teeth. I have asked for a refund and it has taken over two months for them to still not have it refunded into my insurance. Please save yourself any problems and DO NOT go here!

This place went down hill when they got the new receptionist. I had an appointment set and even had to ask for the day off at work. She calls me the day of to say the orthodontist doesn’t see patients anymore for consults. He or she will go with the xrays already taken to decide if the patient will need braces. I said fine to it and was told to give it two weeks til they called me for an appointment with the orthodontist so he/she could look at the xrays. Never got a call. Took my services else where. Yes, place is real nice, staff in the back is real nice too. It’s the receptionist that needs to be taught how to talk to people. She’s seems upset at everyone.

Rude staff, bad service, the place looks nice on the outside but you can tell it's not a well ran establishment. The forms they have you fill out aren't even legible. Read the fine print (if you can on the bad form) they have you sign to allow them to release your info third parties. I crossed it on out my form. They were we expecting to be 40 mins late and didn't bother to tell me even though I let them know right when I got there that I had a following appointment. The staff wasn't apologetic, in fact they got annoyed with me because I asked how much longer when they were running late and didn't bother telling me. It also irks me when places charge you for being late but they are always making you wait. Ypu can tell they book people right on top of each other so expect to always wait when you come here. The dentist may have been great, I don't know. I couldn't wait to see her. The staff is a bad reflection on her though.

I have been coming for my checkouts and treatments for more than 2 years. Had encountered various dentists and staff. All are helpful with sorting out insurance and booking appointments. They do have Saturday hours once a month. I had Dr Robison today who is a new face but very educational with explaining my condition and willing to answer questions. Just make sure you give your self a few hours for the entire visit especially if you have caries or needs a deep cleaning.

A year later and I'm still getting the runaround, even with new management. Every time I call or go in person, I get a different story when I try to find out what's taking so long. The waiting area is beautiful and has a homey feel. The staff were immaculate! Their professionalism was A-1 and my wife began to have a bit of issues. She is pregnant and felt quite faint but the staff made her as comfortable as possible. I feel if there were an immediate emergency she would have received help abruptly. They even had Netflix. I would like to take this time to say that this past week I was quite worried about an issue I was having with pain. I called several times to get squeezed in even though I already had an appointment. I explained to Jody what my problem was and Jody took the time not only to listen to me but she also gave me advise and told me what to do until I could come in on my scheduled time. She also told me that if it her advice didn't help by the next morning to call and they would squeeze me in somehow. Well, I did exactly what she advised and it helped me alot. This office is so disorganized with billing and cost. My husband had teeth pulled and needed dentures. We paid $1900 after the teeth being pulled and when he went for denture molds they tried to collect additional money $1900. We have a DHMO and prices should be fixed especially since they quoted us a final price. Then they were able to see and said my husband only owed $600. My husband left the office with with no mold and no teeth. Such a cluster.

My whole family and I go to Pearl Denistry. They are very professional, friendly and caring. I feel like they go above and beyond to care for their patients. The doctors are super friendly and try the best to make you feel comfortable. The staff are super welcoming from the moment you set up an appointment to the time you’re walking out of their office. They have always answered all and any of my questions. What I also like about this practice is that they have other specialists without having the patient to go elsewhere. That to me is a big advantage because I rather get all my dental needs at one practice I’m familiar with rather than going all over town to a new one. I just moved to the heights area from austin and I can hinders say that I really enjoyed my experience here compared to the dentists I have gone to in the past. I'm a big chicken when it comes to going to the dentist. Also I'm always skeptical about doctors as I feel like sometimes they just do things for the money. The doctor at pearl recommended a filling which I knew I needed as I saw a small black spot on my back tooth that was occasionally bothersome. The cleaning felt real good and they took their time doing it as opposed to feeling rushed like my last doctor office. The staff in the back was such a sweetheart. All in all they deserve a 5 star review. Thanks Pearl you have a patient for life and I will gladly refer my friends!!!

Came here as a new patient after having to switch my dental insurance. After getting my coverage set I wanted to get an appointment quickly because I needed a good amount of work done and I was in pain. I called Pearl and got an appointment to be seen at 10 am the very next day. Staff was very friendly and the treatment I needed was explained to me so it was easily understood. After my new patient evaluation we went through all my options and were able to get my fillings, deep cleaning, and crown started all the same day. Pearl even sent me to lunch on them because they wanted to make sure I didn’t have an empty stomach during the procedure in the afternoon. The procedures were almost painless and went fairly quickly. I will continue to use them for any and all future dentist appointments!

Had a great experience here when I went a few weeks ago to get a root canal - which needless to say I was dreading... But wow the staff here was fantastic! Some of the friendliest people I have ever come across. The whole procedure was quick with minimal pain! They were very careful to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. I received a flyer in the mail from Pearl offering $35 teeth cleaning for new customers. I was looking for a dentist in the area so I made an appointment. I thought it was strange when they charged me BEFORE I met with the hygienist. The first thing they did was take xrays and finding out that I didn't need any fillings, they informed me I would need a "deep" cleaning at $875 and REFUSED to honor the flyer. I asked for my money back and they refused because they had taken x-rays. I told them I came to get my teeth cleaned not get x-rayed and I resented the "bait and switch" advertising. They told me I would have to call the Pearl corporate office and discuss it with them. The doctor never came out to discuss it with me but instead left it to the office workers to deal with the situation. According to one of the office workers, it was not the first time someone complained about the false advertising. When I insisted on getting my money back since services were not rendered, the receptionist called someone and asked what to do and they reluctantly gave me my money back. Does anyone know why the $100 an hour hygienist now costs $875 an hour to clean a little deeper? I wanted to get my teeth clean before going to Columbia this weekend, now I'll just get it done down there. Teeth cleaning in America same price as two tickets to South America, interesting. Now to post this, I have to give the good folks at Pearl one star when they should be investigated for false advertising.
Mrs. Fitzgerald, thank you for giving us feedback to your concerns. As we explain to all of our patients, there are 2 types of cleanings, a prophylaxis and what is called a deep scaling and root planing. If any patients have periodontal disease whether it's early onset or severe, the standard for treatment is a scaling and root planing. If we don't do it we are not following the minimal standard of care and our office will not do that since it won't treat the disease. A prophylaxis will in no circumstance remove the tarter at or below the gum lines since it doesn't clean the tarter at those levels. It's like putting a filling over a decayed tooth without removing the decay, the decay will continue to spread and the filling will fail. We encourage you to get a second opinion and we are confident any competent dentist will recommend the same treatment. Our fees for these treatments are well below any of our competitors and we would love to earn your business back after you receive a second opinion. Please contact our office and we would love to have our doctor explain in further detail. Edit

When hurricane Harvey hit us Historians, Pearl dentistry went as far as to give away food to those in need & when the kiddos went back to school they even gave them backpacks with school supplies. We were fortunate during that time, we were behind but thanx to the staff my boys had backpacks & supplies to start off the year. It's not often that a business does this to help out the community. In fact very few businesses do. I am very thankful to them & sattisfied with their work within & outside the clinic.

Was so happy with pearl dentistry. Haven't been to an office where they provide such good customer service. From the front desk lady to the back nurse I felt like they really cared about me and not tried to just treat me like a number or rip me off. My appointment was at 330 and I literally was in the back and seen by the doctor by 350 and it took me a bit to fill out the paperwork as well so that was my fault. The doctor was such a sweetheart and explained everything in detail. I luckily only needed one thing and they took care of it right away. Thanks guys for caring and not wasting my time. I have only great things to say about Pearl! I loved the office and the staff and felt very well taken care of. I came there in an emergency with a broken crown and they fixed me up to my complete satisfaction. I was in and out in one hour and felt I was in very good hands by the dentist and the staff. I love that they have a good ambiance in the suite - beautiful rugs, decor, and chandeliers, made me feel much better about my emergency crown. Recently moved to the area and insurance suggested this dentist for pediatric with coverage under my policy. Therefore, I took my two year old for a general check up in early August. After waiting for over one hour my daughter saw the dentist. We were incorrectly charged $60 co-pay (were told it was $120, but was lowered to $60 due to the >1hr wait) being told insurance didn't cover the check up. Insurance later confirmed with us and directly with the office manager, Ruben that in fact the check up was covered and I have been fighting over one month now trying to get my $60 back which were incorrectly charged in the first place. Have called and talked to Ruben at least ten times and being promised the payment is being returned but to date have not seen any sight of the $ or the confirmation email that I've been promised for weeks! NEVER going to see these guys again, we gave them a chance and they blew it completely, do not recommend anyone to see them unless you have a ton of patience and ready to being incorrectly charged!

Never made it in to get my daughter's teeth done. The incompetent coordinator never calls back and they lied to my insurance about contacting me. They told me pre authorization would be made 3weeks ago and never called me to change dr. I had to call to get anything in order and still nothing. Dont waste your time with these people. Unless you are under their butts with a lighter or have extra money to give up you wont get anywhere. I just went to a different dr who can get my child in asap. Stressful is the best i can say to describe my experience

If you want to wait for two hours before being sat in a chair and then handed a Netflix remote to wait longer then head on over to this place. 'Inconsiderate, unprofessional' are the best words to describe this business. Their excuse was that the doctor was running an hour behind because of AM traffic when my appointment was scheduled for the afternoon. I never received a phone call to reschedule or even cancel my appointment. Why am I waiting for a dentist for a simple teeth cleaning? Because they don't have a dental hygienist, who is professionally trained to clean your teeth, which to me is absurd. They tried to fix it by offering me an appointment "where I don't have to wait." I will never step foot inside Pearl Dentistry or any of the dental offices associated with it. Having a "pretty" waiting area does nothing for your lousy business except maybe distract all the hours of waiting.
*update* Ms. Jennifer, we sincerely offer our apologies once more. We take each rating seriously and vow to make changes where necessary. We are happy to announce that our clinic has been working on its imperfections. Previously, we employed a part-time hygienist, but we now serve our valuable patients with the help of our full-time hygienist. Although our dentists are highly trained and educated, and they actually train the hygienist in the process of a cleaning, we do feel that a full-time hygienist was important and necessary in our office. We hope that you return to our new and improved, Pearl Dentistry! Ms. Jennifer V. - I would first like to give my apology on the wait time at the office, we like to get our patients back in a very timely manner and with the circumstances that happened on Friday we can not help but try and accommodate all patients, especially when emergencies arise. As for a the hygienist our dentist completes the cleanings for our patients. We would like to see if you would like to schedule an appointment on a day during the week so we can accommodate your schedule or even on the weekend please allow us the opportunity to correct this issue. Definitely a positive experience. Had not had a standard cleaning in two years. About a year ago I went to Lovett Dental in the Heights for a check up. I have always been a religious tooth brusher. They said I needed an Arestin Operation costing $1500 where they inject antibiotics under my gums with a needle. I laughed quietly inside my head, scheduled this "appointment" and then canceled the next day never to return. Recently went to Pearl. The doctor was really accommodating and honest. His support staff were personable and experienced. He gave me a Level II cleaning costing only $145.
Mr. Fish we at Pearl Dentistry will always do everything we can to make sure we keep you on a six-month regimen and we'll keep your oral hygiene to Perfection. As someone who has had nothing but horrible dentist experiences, Pearl Dentistry and their staff were beyond wonderful! Reason for going: Painful tooth. Phone/Email: Answer questions fast and in a timely manner with the utmost positive attitude. Office: Conveniently located, the décor is beautiful and helps keep a calm environment, the offices are incredibly clean. Dr. Carolyn Haddad: Wonderful experience. I’ve had a ton of issues with my teeth since I was a child and she didn’t interrogate me but instead went through what some of the causes could be from and how to avoid further issues. She was incredibly thorough with my examination. Her assistant (Really sweet Asian younger girl) gave me a thorough and fast cleaning. There deep cleaning machine is incredibly fast, thorough, and painless. Insurance: Sidenote, if you plan on needing any specialty/major work done, I would make sure to find out if the specialty doctors are covered with your insurance. I found that mine did not so I went to a wonderful Endo specialist for my root canal who Ruben at the front desk recommended and I'm so glad I went with his recommendation. It was perfect! Also—Ruben who works at the front desk (I wish I could say what his actual position was) is an wonderful worker. While waiting for my appointment, I watched him multitask with ease throughout the office while assisting numerous clients. He also took his time to thoroughly explain my payment options and was very patient with me on the phone. Give this man a medal.

I was put in a chair with the Netflix remote. It was on friends so I left it on that. My X-rays were taken quickly and the dentist gave me her honest opinion of all the work needed. They completed my cleaning and then I was shown the break down of the cost of everything. I opted for a crown and a couple fillings for one day. I'm not going to say it didn't hurt but I liked not being criticized or judged for my bad teeth and I liked the honest opinion of the dentist. I really liked I was able to get so much work done in one day! I didn't have to take 2 days off!

But I just had to have an extraction for the first time and I can honestly say they made that the easiest dentist visit I've ever experienced. The dentist was extremely nice and understanding. I really liked it here. Beautiful and clean office which for me is a big pet peeve. The other thing I hate is waiting in a dr office and I had no wait time here which was amazing as I've never had an experience where I check in and they take me to the back right away. The cleaning and exam was very comprehensive and the best part is I didn't feel scammed by the doctor which is what a lot of these other guys do. It is a high end office but they aren't trying to sell me on crap I don't want. Thanks guys, highly recommend you to everyone.

DR. KRUPA PATEL, THE DENTIST, DID NOT SHOW UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT and STAFF WAS RUDE. Very disappointed. I had a confirmed appointment on Tuesday, however, Pearl called the afternoon before and asked me to reschedule for today, October 13. I agreed and rescheduled my appointment for 9:00 a.m. today. I had to move meetings with clients to reschedule the appointment. Pearl called the afternoon before to confirm my rescheduled appointment today at 9:00 a.m. I showed up on time. I was told by the receptionist that the dentist was NOT THERE and would not be there until 10:00 a.m.!! WHAT KIND OF A DENTIST DOES NOT SHOW UP FOR A PATIENT?? DR. KRUPA PATEL!! Further, the receptionist was rude and did not care. Very unprofessional indeed. I understand scheduling mistakes happen but it was the total rudeness and lack of professionalism that is simply unacceptable. Since I need a dentist that shows up, with a polite staff, I will be transferring my file.

We had to come in for my 8 yr old daughter to have a root canal. Many other dentists would not treat her due to her age but they welcomed us with open arms. Ruben is awesome at working with us to get appts and insurance info. The other staff is super friendly and great with kids too. To top it off their offices are beautiful and everything is very clean. They have netflix and tv in the exam rooms. There is even complimentary coffee, water, juice, and snacks in the lobby. We're really happy we found them.

I was so amazed at how beautiful the office looked like, I wanted to move in there. But I thought crap if if it looks this nice they are going to rip me off. Nope, I got in at 9:30 for my 10am appointment. They put me back in early and they had a promo for $125 for an exam and cleaning and xrays. They didn't try to push all this extra crap I didn't want like my last dentist(my last dentist always tried to get me to get veneers, I didn't care for that crap). The doc was a nice and gentle woman, and the staff was so friendly. All in all I was out by 10:30, thanks guys for a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere and friendliness of all the staff is just so welcoming. Dr Patel is so gentle and such a nice lady. I love it how her assistant Genoveva, explains the procedure prior to (I get sooooo nervous), and makes me feel at ease. Now, as for Robert, that young man helped me to make it possible to have my work done. Ask him about CareCredit! Then there are the front desk girlies... no matter how many times i call to ask if my bridge is already there,, they are always so nice to remind me that it's only been a week or two,,, (it takes up to 3 weeks)... Over all, they are all a 10!!

Horrible, my son appointment was scheduled for 3:00 pm, to get all four wisdom teeth removed, at 3:45, I asked the receptionist, how much longer it will be, for my son to seen by the doctor and I was told, another 30 to 45 minutes. I informed the receptionist, this is unexceptable and politely asked for my money back and left the office.

I went to Pearl Dentistry after a friend recommended them… and I’m so glad that I gave them a shot. -Setting up the appointment was very easy, I just gave them a call and they scheduled me in. -First thing you notice when you walk into the office is just how amazing it looks; it’s designed better than most people’s homes. -Their waiting area has a Keurig machine, bottled water, donuts, and etc. -The staff is super friendly and professional; everyone was always smiling and looked happy to be there. -The rooms are also decked out with nice things: the chairs are comfortable; each room has a tv connected to Netflix (watched an episode of Daredevil, highly recommend the show); each room has a set of Bose noise canceling headsets; and etc. -Dr. Patel is AWESOME! She is very personable. She spoke to me in plain English walking me through what she was doing and her recommendations. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and Pearl Dentistry to everyone.

This place is AMAZING! My whole family went in on a Friday afternoon and everyone was so nice and attentive, I never felt rushed or anything. They helped my husband and I with our kids and kept them entertained (not to mention they checked them both out and not a single cry on the contrary they were talking and laughing) I got a root canal and Dr. Patel was awesome, and gentle and it was over before I knew it. Check out was easy breezy, Ruben is definitely an insurance expert and he took care of everything for us, even called the next day to check up on us (so sweet!) I am giving Pearl Dentistry one star since it was like pulling teeth to get someone to call me back about my dental insurance. After switching dental insurance, I initially called to inquire if Pearl accepted my new insurance. The receptionist, Celia, took down my new insurance information and told me she would call my back to let me know. Several days passed without a call from Celia, so I called back and spoke to Ruben (the director of operations). Ruben told me that Pearl would accept my new dental insurance, so I then proceeded to ask how much my insurance would cover for a certain dental treatment. He told me he would call me back with an estimate after taking down my dental insurance information since there was no note of this from my previous call. Again, several days passed without a word from Pearl. I then called again and Celia answered. I told her I was calling back to follow up on an inquiry I made since no one ever called me back as promised. Celia again asked me for my insurance information, and this was when I pointed out to her that this was the third time I was providing them with my new insurance information. Instead of apologizing, she nonchalantly said they needed it again, so I provided it to her. She then gave me an estimate, and I asked if this could be verified with my insurance carrier. Celia told me she would verify the estimate with my insurance and give me a call back. Once again, no one ever called me back, so I called for the fourth time and spoke to Celia again. Again, she did not apologize for failing to call me back as promised. Instead, she was defensive on the phone, stating she had gone over the estimate with me. I replied that wasn't my question. I wanted to know if she had verified the estimate with my insurance. She snapped back with a yes, to which I said, "Ok, I would like to make an appointment, please." I shouldn't have even scheduled an appointment, but I really had a good experience with Erika, the dental hygienist, on my previous appointment, so I kept the appointment. When I walked into the office, Celia didn't even greet me. She just told me to sign in without offering me a pen. I asked if she had my updated insurance information and she said yes. My treatment with Erika and the dentist was pleasant, but my experience with Celia/Ruben makes me want to take my business elsewhere. If you promise to call a patient back, then do so. It's just common courtesy.

Not that great.my first time going to this dentistry. My appointment was at 9am and got out until 3pm close to 4pm.they don't focused on finishing with first patient that's there.they look at you then stop,than go to another person then come back in 1 hour. Never again will I go back,they charge my debit card twice the same transaction if I didn't check my account I would of never known.Then went back to fix my charges and took long to attend me.Also they don't call you to remind you of your appointment or tell you the time they scheduled it for.i went to a other dentist and they said my teeth didn't need fillings.They where trying to charge me for other things

There is not enough I can say about this dental office. Right when I walked in, I couldn't help but notice how clean the office was. I was then greeted by the staff immediately and began filling out my paperwork. When it was time to go get my exam done, I was led to the chair where they had a TV and netflix for me to watch. Dr. Vuong did a thorough exam and made sure the entire time that I was at ease. Every employee had a smile on their face at all times. Before leaving, Ruben, the office manager asked how my visit was. I was delighted to say that it was the best experience I have ever had at a dental office. Brought my daughter (21) in for an emergency tooth extraction. Got a fast appointment next day. She was in extreme pain and very scared of needles. She was put at ease with local anesthetic and gas which relaxed her. She did great. She didn't have ins but pricing was reasonable and The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. With a tv and Netflix in every station it helps pass the time. Was so impressed and thankful I booked a cleaning for myself for Friday. Also was given info on the iSmile plan which offers discount on procedures. Actually is a great program will enroll my daughter in that for sure.

If you’re like me then you probably don’t usually look forward to making a trip to the dentist. Well that’s the way I used to think but now that I’ve found a great dentist, I really don’t mind the visit so much. My perception changed once I found Pearl Dentistry. I came in because I had a toothache which I ended up finding out was going to result in an extraction of one tooth and a root canal on another. What I thought was going to be a long and painful experience turned out to be the exact opposite. I was greeted by very polite and helpful staff and escorted to a comfortable dental chair with my own TV with an added bonus of Netflix! Dr. Sheikh was able to remove my tooth and complete the root canal in the same visit and did so in a timely manner. When I returned a few weeks later to have my permanent crown placed over the root canal, I was again greeted by friendly staff and taken back to the back where I was able to catch up on The Walking Dead relaxing in my chair. The crown went on with ease and I was on my way. Hopefully that will be the last of my tooth extractions now that I’ve found a dentist that I can visit regularly and take better care of my teeth. Oh and did I mention that you get your own TV and Netflix? Haha, that was my favorite part!

We all know going to the dentist is not on the top of our priority list, but it should be. I myself once had a great fear due to a bad experience, but decided give it one more chance. Passing through on my daily walk to Target I noticed a new dental office just opened in my area, I won't lie the chic scenery is what drew me in...the front desk and staff's knowledge and hospitality is what sold me to schedule an appointment. Finally seeing the dentist Dr. Patel I guess she noticed my fear right away and begin a conversation with me over what we were going to do today, not only did I feel comfortable with all my questions being answered as if I was a really good friend of hers, not one ounce of pain did I feel being treated by her. Nearing the end of my appointment the front desk discussed my next plan of action and had me scheduled to begin the next process...Great Friendly Staff and Amazing Hours....Can't wait for my next visit.
