This dental office is a gem! The receptionist girl greeted me warmly and professionally both on the phone and in person. Lena (apologies if I misspelled the name), the hygienist, made me feel right at ease with her friendly smile. To my delight, she even remembered me and my stories, considering the fact that I only met her once many months ago and she likely had seen hundreds of patients on a monthly basis. Most importantly, she performed an incredibly thorough cleaning, all while making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. This January, I had a procedure done, and they told me that my insurance would not cover the service at all. Based on their assurance, I paid over $500 out of pocket. However, a few months later, I received a letter from my insurance company stating that they had covered $397 for that service. It feels like I was deceived by the dental office. They insisted that my insurance would not cover the procedure, which led me to pay the full amount upfront. Then, they apparently billed my insurance company and received payment for the same service. This seems like a case of double-dipping. When I followed up with the dental office, they claimed they had not received the insurance company’s letter yet. I have been waiting for over a week now with no updates. If I hadn’t followed up diligently, I might never have known about this issue or received my refund. They should have been proactive in informing me and issuing the refund without requiring my intervention. Additionally, during my visit, I felt pressured and somewhat intimidated. For example, I had a chipped tooth, and they insisted that I needed immediate treatment to prevent it from becoming a cavity, potentially leading to a root canal. However, when I consulted another dentist, I was told that it was not an urgent matter and could be monitored. This experience made me feel like they were trying to scare me into unnecessary procedures. Overall, my experience with this dental office was highly unsatisfactory. Their practices seemed unethical, and they took advantage of my lack of knowledge about dental insurance. I hope others read this and are cautious about dealing with them. Make sure to verify with your insurance and seek a second opinion if you feel pressured.

I found this dentist for my son who is in college in the area. We live out of state. Things had been fine for the past 2 1/2 years. Service was fine. Then my company's insurance changed. I called to speak to the office about this as we were going to have to change dentists. They assured us there would be no difference in cost and that my son could continue to go there. That was until they said he needed 3 cavities redone last month. We were hit with a bill of $1,480 to fix 3 fillings. Insane. Spoke to the front office manager Nina who did nothing to rectify the situation. I would never have had my son do the work there if I had known. A complete bait and switch as they assured me the cost to keep going there would be no different in cost if we were still in network. They cost me over a $1,000 that we didn't need to spend if we had gone to an in network provider. Not honest at all and they are completely unwilling to fix the situation with a refund of the difference. I have contacted the BBB as well to see if they can assist.

The hygienists here who clean your teeth are awesome! I just had the best cleaning experience with Van, who maintained the perfect balance of thoroughly cleaning my teeth without causing any pain. She had a technique for keeping my mouth dry during the cleaning so I didn’t need to spit as often, and there was no grit feeling left after the polishing! She was also perceptive and shared info on specific tweaks I could make to improve my dental hygiene.

It’s high past time I wrote a review for Irvine Smile Design. I’ve been coming here since I was twelve or thirteen and they’ve always done an excellent job - little to no waiting, painless cleaning and cavity filling, kind professional service. The customer service is outstanding - I’ve been able to quickly figure out billing or insurance questions by text or phone. The impetus for this review is a recent emergency my family had. My partner cracked a tooth and had a filling fall out two days before we were about to leave the country. She was having pain eating and drinking. We called her dentist and they couldn’t fit her in. I called Irvine Smile Design and they got us an appointment 30 minutes later even though my partner was not a current client. They got her fitted for a temporary crown and 2 hours later she was home and able to eat and drink again. We’re so grateful to have a dentist that plans for emergencies and provides such attentive care. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Thank you so much Irvine Smile Design!

Highly recommend! This is a modern, professional dental office. The staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. I've spent decades going to other dentists. All of them were the same: quick and rushed. Here, they scan and evaluate your teeth with hi-tech equipment and then show you the images on a flat screen while explaining their recommendations. They don't pressure you nor rush you. They make it clear any decisions are yours to make. My cleaning was far more thorough and gentle than any other I've had. Dr. Mogari was cocky and rushed through my fillings. Made me feel uneasy. Dr. Soleimani was pretty alright. Definitely felt the most pain with Dr. Soleimani when I got my cavities filled. Also left the fillings slightly uneven.

Terrible experience. I called and said I was a college student and just wanted a basic cleaning and no X-rays (I just had them last summer and don’t need them again) and scheduled an hour long appointment. I got to the office and after they charged me they told me they could not do a cleaning without X-rays and it would be an hour and half appointment which I did not have time for on the scheduled day. They told me they would refund and swiped my card again, but did not refund. I have repeatedly called and been promised a refund they have not refunded my $99. Total scam and not happy.

Be aware they will overcharge you!!! Make sure you ask for a detailed itemized billing statement before you make any payment to them. The billing staff quoted me $249 initially for some dental fillings work. I was promised a $50 credit will be given when it’s time to pay. However, nothing was even mentioned about the $50 credit when I was ready to pay for the service. I had to ask for it before they can remember it. What’s worse, when I asked for a copy of the billing statement, I saw that I was only supposed to be paying $146 not $199. I asked why I was asked to pay a higher amount that listed on the billing statement, the staff was speechless initially and later said:” oh, don’t worry about the statement. It’s not accurate. I will make sure you only pay $146.” I had to leave my credit card info with them because the card reader was not working at that time and I was assured that I will only pay what is stated on the statement. Guess what, 3 days later I was charged $199. I called back ask why I was charged $199. I was told it was a computer glitch and the billing team will review the statement and get back to me later. WHAT A SCAM!!!! Please note my bad experience is only for the billing. The front desk and the dentist are fine.

Just one minor person issue; I've always talked with Dr. Mogari to summarize my dental options, but this time it was a dentist I wasn't expecting, nor did I know. She was good, but just caught me off guard because I was expecting Dr. Mogari. Its a personal thing with me regarding my doctors/dentists .... I just like to know in advance if the main dentist will not be seeing me. I still give you 5*****'s. Everyone in the office is professional from the time you walk in the door, until you exit!! Doctor Brown first put his gloved hands on his trousers, I'm sure these trousers are dirty, then he raised his hands in these dirty gloves up, looked at them, apparently realized that they were dirty now, and then he examined my mouth with his hands in these gloves, which was after a hygienic cleaning procedure, and there were wounds there, and this doctor got there with his hands in dirty gloves. And initially, when he came to the office to meet me, I didn't see him putting them on in front of me. It's terrible, I'm very afraid that he could have brought bacteria or bad diseases into my body. I think this is dangerous behavior for a doctor, he thereby contributes to the spread of diseases among patients.

My husband and I have had a great experience at Irvine Smile Design since we’ve been going there for a couple years now. He’s basically had his whole mouth slowly replaced over time due to previous dental work that didn’t hold up well. He’s very happy with his teeth now. Dr. Haleh Fazeli also in particular is just an amazing human and incredibly detailed and high quality dentist, who really went above and beyond to make sure my chipped crown was replaced painlessly and skillfully within two weeks. From matching the tooth color, making sure the fit was perfect, getting an old crown out with no discomfort, and getting me in and out to return to work, was just so helpful. Such extraordinary patient care. The hygienists are also so very pleasant. They are terrific humans with a great sense of humor (one had me laughing so hard)! The front desk staff are also all excellent. Thanks for getting my insurance information so quickly because I wasn’t even aware of my new insurance benefits. You all do so much and I’m grateful to have found you all!

I went online to find a dentist, and I found Irvine Smile Design. It was INCREDIBLY easy to make an appointment. I was looking online around 2pm on Thursday, and I got an appointment for 7am on Friday. I did it all online. Filled out my insurance paperwork online and from the time I walked in the door of the office to the time I was seated in the chair for my cleaning was maybe 4 minutes. Everyone was very kind and professional and friendly. I need a little work done on my teeth, but it wasn't overwhelming or pressure to have it done. They simply told me the things that I should get done if I choose to get it done. I'm definitely going back and hope that this is my "forever dentist" now that I am settled in SoCal.

Dr. Brown is my usual Dr. at this office, and to say he is one of the best dentist I've ever been too is still a vast understatement. His knowledge, and workmanship are absolutely top notch, and he's done fillings on me where I couldn't even tell he'd given me an injection and finished the job faster than you could imagine. I'm 50 years old. I've been to many Dentists in my lifetime, and this is the best by far -- and if you take a look at the quality of his work, you'll be a fan as well. His bed-side manner is easy-going, and he loves to talk about the latest and greatest techniques in dentistry and he clearly keeps up with what's the best in the field. I wish every dentist was like him.

Booked my appointment online (easy!) - received just the right amount of information/reminders to assist me on my first visit. This included a copy of the new patient forms that I could easily fill out in advance of my visit, as well as reminder emails and texts (not too much, just enough). Easy to find, plenty of parking - upon arrival in the office, I was greeted by the team for my 5:30 pm (end of day) appointment. I spoke with Monica, the Patient Coordinator: she was friendly and welcoming to everyone who came in and made sure to put me at ease on my first visit. I was early for my appointment and was greeted by the assistant (Veronica?) to start my treatment (earlier than 5:30 pm). Veronica laid out expectations of what the procedures she was conducting - she was gentle and provided clear instructions, and tried to make my visit as comfortable as possible. Thereafter, I was introduced to Katie, the hygienist, who was swift and efficient with cleaning my teeth. She offered friendly conversation and provided me with practical suggestions on how to maintain. She was personable and warm. Finally, I got to meet Dr. Mogari - super friendly, smiling (even after a long day). He broke down his diagnosis clearly and efficiently - offered me a variety of solutions to ensure my needs were met. Dr. Mogari clearly leads by example with his team. Prior to departure, I got to speak with Monica again, who provided me with a breakdown of what to expect for next steps. I booked my next appointment on the spot. Highly recommend this for folks who don't like going to the dentist! Worries and fear melted away upon arrival and absolutely in awe of the quality of staff here. There are good dentists, and then there are good dentists that have a great team. You'll find that here. Everyone is very friendly and respectful of your time. My hygienist helped me with my protocol at home without making me feel like a fool for doing it wrong. Dr. Magori is very friendly and takes the time to explain his recommendations in full. If you are looking for a dentist, this is a good place to go!

Irvine Smile Design is an extraordinary place--Dr. Brown, Van, and the superb staff (Nina, Lorianne, Nicole, and Sloane) here are skilled, efficient, and thoughtful, and it is abundantly clear that they enjoy their work and genuinely care about their patients. They offer a full range of services and carefully explain all treatment options and procedures, but I've never felt pressured to go with more expensive or purely cosmetic procedures. Whether it's been semi-annual cleanings, crowns, or emergency repairs, they've always done excellent work, and are very sensitive to patient needs, both in terms of pain control and finances. Plus, they are wonderful about working with my insurance, and have a great client-communication system for appointment reminders. The whole staff is so friendly, gentle, knowledgeable, and just plain great at what they do that I actually look forward to my visits to the dentist (said no one ever, I would have thought before I came here!). Truly a model practice, with a commitment to first-rate, compassionate care.

I had my 1st teeth cleaning done at this office today. My appointment was at 11:30am and the moment I arrive and sat down in the waiting room the dental hygienist call me in. Sorry, I forgot her name but she did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth, she took her time I didnt feel like she was rushing to get me out like most places she also let me know area where I should concentrate a little more on. Afterwards, the dentist examine my teeths, received 2 thumbs up and I was out the door. Overall the entire staff was friendly, polite and the service was impeccable! I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a teeth cleaning to give Irvine Smile Design a opportunity I'm glad I did!

I have used Dr Brown and his associates here at Irvine Smile Design since 1994. Even when I lived in Los Angeles for a time, I drove back to Irvine for the great service of my wonderful dentist and hygienist there. They always use the latest technologies too. My cavity was sandblasted out with no novocaine needed! No more mush mouth! They have digital X-rays and many other advances like hypersonic teeth cleaning. They have their own affordable plan if one does not have insurance. After years of less than ideal dental work it was great to find a dentist I could trust and keep my teeth pain free, and my smile bright.

They are great at scheduling and rescheduling if you need it, they get you in and out very quickly, and every one there is super friendly. They are very good at their job, I had never had hi-res pictures of my teeth taken until I went here (every other dentist I've ever been to didn't do that) and they were great at all the dental work I've had.
