Falko Family Dental is a Rock Hill dentist practice led by Dr. Andrew Falkovsky, DMD, and Dr. Klaudia Falkovsky, DMD — a husband-and-wife team serving patients in Rock Hill, SC, and surrounding communities, including Fort Mill, York, Lake Wylie, and Indian Land. Together, they bring advanced credentials to every appointment: Dr. Andrew completed a two-year implant residency at NYU College of Dentistry and a general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. I called and was able to get a next day appointment as a new patient for a broken porcelain veneer. I have super bad anxiety when it comes to dental things as my previous experiences were horrendous. From the moment I walked in to everything in between was amazing ! I also do not have dental insurance and the prices for patients without are very manageable and the staff made sure to explain everything to me! I loved this office so much so I am scheduled for my cleaning and yearly dental exam for tomorrow! Cannot recommend this office enough!

After having a terrible experience as a teenager, I lost trust in the profession, and went 25+ years without proper dental care. Walking in the door the first time, anxious would be an understatement! The front staff was very professional, cheerful, and welcoming. My hygienist was very sweet and patient. Dr. Andrew sat and spoke with me about my previous experiences and what my needs & goals are. Starting treatment, it was clear I needed some extractions. For the first time, I went thru having 2 extractions without sedation or gas. Let me say, I DID NOT feel a thing- honestly-no pain, no pressure!! I just came across a recent negative post which has compelled me to write this review! I have had a total different experience! I have been a patient here for about a year and have had an awesome experience! The first time I walked into the office I was so warmly greeted by the front desk and everyone I came in contact with in the office. I came for a second opinion on a large amount of dental work I needed from minor filings to a tooth extraction, bone graft and implant. At the other office I felt like there main concern was my money and this office I felt like they were more concerned with me and getting the issues I was having resolved. They woked with me to get the best use out of my insurance and actually helped me schedule it in more than one year. They were more concered about getting the decay out than rushing to the most expensive implant. The amount of visits I have made to the office I am starting to feel like part of the Falko family lol! I strongly recommend them to anyone new to the area looking for a great dental experience , to anyone looking for a second opinion or if you are not sastisfied with your current dentist. ***Update after years coming to this practice. A quick guide to go from 5 stars to one. I've been coming to this office since it opened. The doctors were attentive and showed a real commitment to their patients. To the point that I was a patient there, knowing it was considered out of network. Unfortunately, with success came a loss of humility and a shift in priorities. I visited that office and saw Andrew about a filling that he put in and that fell off, which left a pretty big hole exposed and eventually allowed for decay to set in. When I started seeing the doctor, I made him aware that I had access to crowns at no cost, having a family member who works for a local lab. Back then, Andrew thought it was a good idea since it saved me money. Fast forward to the new, remodeled and overly pretentious office, not only did the doctor not want me to get the crown elsewhere, but stormed off like a bratty child and ended my appointment when I suggested that as an option so I could better afford the price tag that he presented to me. You would've thought that I cursed him out by his reaction. Telling me "you're thowing a curve at me" and abruptly leaving the office as he removed his gloves. Needless to say, he refused to treat the tooth which evolved into the tooth now having to be extracted because it fractured. Funny enough, I saw two dentists to get additional opinions and they both agreed that the tooth could've have been saved and treated WITHOUT a root canal back when it happened but now it was too far damaged and extraction is my only option. Against my better judgment, I went to this office again and after just sitting on that chair for 10 minutes his office quoted me $5275 to put an implant and crown, of which $3349 would be out of pocket. No additional transactions treatments included. By that time I knew better not to bring up getting the crown elsewhere after his last reaction and scolding. I had enough of the dismissive attitude, assembly line approach and ridiculous pricing, and I went to another doctor in the area with similar reviews. After a proper visit, I can get my whole mouth treated: cavities, fillings, cleaning, AND extraction of the tooth that was denied treatment at an early stage for just over 1k. Again, this is a well established dentist with 5 star reviews and three times as many inquiries. Fast forward to today, I returned from a deployment after three weeks and had not one or two but 12 letters charging me $127 for my last visit to tell me that the tooth needed to be extracted. I told the lady on the phone that I've received that many bills and asked why I was being charged so much for a simple consultation. She decided to become combative and even thought for a minute to change careers to being a comedian when she replied to my pricing inquiry, "well it was really $145“ in a sarcastic tone. I told her that I just wanted to pay and never have to come back. She said." Ok" and slammed the phone on me. I called back and told her that it will be impossible for me to pay if she hangs up the call, to which she replied " well I didn't appreciate your attitude". If I'm inquiring about pricing or your ridiculous, harassing billing practices, your expected reply is to answer those questions, not to hang up on me. And for a money hungry practice like this one, hanging up the phone on someone telling you to collect payment, seems counterproductive. I asked to speak to a manager, who has been there for many years and she collected payment. Needless to say, this is NOT the office that I once knew. I had serious oral surgery and fillings in that office for a fraction of what he charges now for one tooth. Every filling I've had done in that office has failed, fallen, fractured or leaked bacteria under the dental work. I have fillings from when I was in grade school that have withstood the test of time and not one of his made it past 4 years. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they'll treat you like a person and not a number with a dollar sign over you.

I try to see the good in people, so it is natural for me to give you the benefit of doubt and consider you confusing what work you had completed in this office versus another office as an honest mistake on your part. As I stated before, I am happy to review the work that was and was NOT done in my office (none of which has failed at any point that I saw you). Out of respect for you and your HIPAA rights, I will not share those details. Thankfully, unlike people, DENTAL RECORDS and DENTAL X-RAYS DO NOT LIE.
You are absolutely entitled to having an opinion about our customer service or the cost of our services, however, please know that your FALSE statements made on a public forum are considered LIBEL, and I will not take that lightly. The FALSE statements you have made in your review not only attack my character and work, but more importantly affect my team. Unfortunately, you have always been very rude and condescending to my team and that is one star behavior and attitude. It’s rare that my front desk team or my clinical team feels this disrespected by a patient.
If you re-read your review, the quote you say we gave you is for different treatment than the quote you received from another dentist. For example, a dental cleaning or filling does not cost the same as an implant crown. Speaking of crowns, we do not work with random dental laboratories. We work with dental laboratories that we have years of experience with. In fact, we work with certain laboratory technicians within those labs that create the best product. I place great emphasis on providing my patients with quality work.
I want to add that receiving 12 bills within a 3 month period would be frustrating to anyone. Our billing company had a glitch in their system. My team tried to explain this to you, however you were not receptive to this information at all. Our other patients were extremely understanding.
Lastly, it is public information as to when we opened this practice, which was in 2018. You might want to correct the statement “I've been coming to this office since it opened.” We find ourselves very blessed to have amazing and supportive patients that have been coming to our office since day one, and they really enjoy our pretentious office.

This was my first experience at Falko Family Dental, but judging from this visit, they get my five-star vote! Even though I was very nervous (since I hadn’t been to a dentist for a while and was being seen because of a problem), I started feeling at ease as soon as I walked in. The atmosphere is more like walking into a living room set up than a typical dentist’s waiting room. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, from the desk/office staff to the hygienist and the dentist himself. New technology was a plus, being able to fill out my extensive medical history online ahead of time was so much better, and so was having digital X-rays instead of the bitewing type. (I love the idea of having 90% less radiation!!) Dr. Falkovsky carefully reviewed my complicated medical history & allergies and discussed with me the steps we would be taking in my treatment. This is for sure the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist! (Thanks Google!!)

The Falkovsky’s have dramatically changed this dental office since acquiring it several years ago. The entire office was updated from the waiting room to the exam and procedure rooms. They have the latest equipment and offer simple dental work to advanced procedures, like implants and sedation dentistry. We chose to participate in their Friends and Family plan rather than buy commercial dental insurance. eliminates the bureaucracy of the insurance plan and provides better coverage. I’d rather all the money that I pay for dental insurance go to the provider than the insurance company that demands a discount on all procedures from the provider. What I consider a true sign of a dentist’s professionalism is knowing when to hand off a patient to a subspecialist. I recently developed pain in a tooth that had a root canal 30 yrs ago. Dr. Klaudia had the staff run a dental CT that revealed new infection that required an endodontist Dr. Klaudia referred me to an excellent one, Dr.Beam, who was able to save the tooth with minimal disruption to the crown on top. Dr. Klaudia restored the top of the crown a few days later. I have had restoration done on an old filling by Dr. Andrew, who was very particular about his work. I am going to have to get an implant soon for a retained deciduous tooth (baby tooth) that is in its last days. When I am ready they the Falkovskys will run a dental CT and develop a treatment plan. Dr. Andrew will do the implanted post followed by an impression and prosthetic tooth 3 months later when the inflammation has completely resolved and the post has firmly seated itself into my mandible. This is the right way to do this procedure and I am confident I will have a good result from this implant.

One of my greatest points of anxiety is dental work. I have had some bad experiences in the past, but when I read the amazing reviews about Falko Family Dentistry, I thought I would give them a try. I was scheduled for an extraction and graft which was to be done with IV sedation. Because of MY mistake, we weren’t able to do that and the procedure was done with only nitrous gas and local anesthetics. Dr. Andrew Falko and his assistant instantly put me at ease. They played the music that I typically listen to, and made sure I was comfortable with the gas and anesthetic. They were incredibly caring and comforting, from the moment I walked in the door. Dr. Falko always asks me if I'm ok while he is working. He has a fabulous machine to make crowns. After taking my tooth down to a stem, he took pictures of the area, and the machine made my permanent crown within 20 microns after only an hour of waiting. I observed how that saved him a lot of time, and he agreed "unless it's going wonky." I asked him if "wonky" ended in "ky" or "key." He referred me to the Oxford English dictionary to check it, which I haven't yet, so be sure to ask him. A lot of updating has been done inside the office in the past 3 years to make it look modern and clean. I think you'll enjoy your experience as much as I do.

I had a dental emergency this week involving a cracked tooth and a high likelihood of extraction. The lengthy complex procedure and skillful hands of both Dr.Andrew and Dr.Klaudia saved my tooth! On top of that I’ve walked out of the office with brand new crown artistically crafted and milled for me right there at the office! As grateful as I was with the results, I was bracing myself for a lot of pain once the anesthesia wears out. To my huge surprise it’s been 3 days now - no pain/no bruising/swelling whatsoever! I’ve been a patient for about 5 years now and have always thought very highly of both Dr.Andrew and Dr.Klaudia. But now I truly believe there is some magic in those hands - thank you both!

New to town and hadn't established care with anyone yet. I called on father's day and got a return call from Andrew. He fit me in first thing in the morning. I had a failed root canal and was in excruciating pain. The entire staff has gone above and beyond for me even so much as going to the pharmacy to drop off my prescription when their electronic system was down. Wendy and Angelica I can't speak any more highly of them. I will be having my family come to the Flakovsky's from here on out. I'm truly grateful. My extraction took some time but he was patient, took his time, and made sure I was ok. It's all in the wrist.

Thank god for Dr. Klaudia!! Long story short I had a wisdom tooth removed a couple months ago by an oral surgeon, and I started getting a terrible toothache all of a sudden and couldn’t sleep at night, my face swelled up over the next two days and I was in so much pain. Dr. Klaudia saw me as an emergency patient and we found out the oral surgeon left a piece of the tooth inside. She drained the swelling and got me back on my feet in no time, I was better a day later. Thank you so much Dr. Klaudia!!!

I had a great experience under the care of Dr. Falkovsky for fillings and a cleaning. It had been awhile since my last check up, and Dr. Falkovsky was honest about what cavities I needed to have taken care of sooner rather than later, and which areas I would be at risk for cavities so that I could remember to take care of those teeth. The fillings I had done were on both sides of my mouth, and it was a painless experience the whole way. Dr. Falkovsky made sure that I was comfortable the whole time, and I had zero problems with sensitivity or chewing after the procedure. My fillings haven't caused me any problems, and I'm happy to have chosen Dr. Falkovsky for my care

After my past few visits with Falko Family Dental I am more than a satisfied patient. I first met with Dr. Klaudia who after a few tests was able to confirm that the pain I had been feeling was in fact a previous cavity that was now due for a root canal procedure. I was very nervous for this procedure as it was to be my first (hopefully only) root canal of my life. However upon arrival Dr. Andrew noticed my anxiety towards the situation and made sure I was 100% comfortable the entire time. He was quick but still extremely thorough.
