I love this Dentist office. It is close to where I work. They are super friendly and take most insurances. What I like most is they will tell you what you need or what would benefit you. The temporary filling had come out, before my appt. to have a crown. They got me in within 1/2 hour of me calling and put a new filling in in 5 minutes. Truly impressive ladies! Thank you!

Many dentists do not do root canals because they are sometimes unpredictable & they can have post operative pain 10% of the time. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my recent visit to Dr. Vanek’s office to replace the crown on my molar. Although the crown was not perfectly sized when I arrived, they made sure they were able to resize it immediately and one of the employees even stayed overtime to make sure I got the service I deserved. Dr. Vanek has a way of making you feel comfortable and treats you like family. Being that I was not familiar with anyone in the office, I was honestly, a little nervous having them work on my crown. However, I would like to thank Claire, at the front desk, for being such a joy to deal with. Her genuine interest to help made me feel like I was in the right place. She was right. The crown came out amazing and I can tell it is going to last. Thank you ALL for your service to our community. If Dentist offices like this did not exist, we would ALL be in bad shape and in a whole lot of pain. Lastly, thanks for the window seat. Being able to look out a window at the clouds while your teeth essentially under construction definitely takes the edge off. Best wishes for all in Dr. Vanek’s office for 2024. ?? ?

First Time Patient-Visited for a routine cleaning. Went through three different rounds of x-rays. First a standing up 360, then the traditional x-rays, then the third was a 3D imaging. The camera was choking me as they were trying to get the back teeth. I voiced my discomfort and asked what the 3D was for and that I was just there for a cleaning, thinking maybe the wires had got crossed. The hygienist got defensive and stopped and asked another hygienist to come over. That’s when the red flags went up for me, as the second hygienist was about to start I just got up and offered to pay for whatever had already been done. I was getting a bad vibe, and just wanted to leave. I called later to see if I could get a different hygienist and was banned…no soup for you! So after the milked my insurance for all those tests, I didn’t even see a dentist or get a cleaning.
Sorry Tanner that you did not get the experience you were hoping for... I was looking forward to meeting you, but we don't tolerate behavior like yours when such a sweet and gentle soul like our Registered Dental Hygienist Sandra puts a lifetime of energy into what she does for our patients. I'm sad this relationship got off on the wrong foot from the get go, maybe you'll have better luck with your next experience. Trust is a 2-way street and our team trusts their skills to provide high quality care. We feel strongly that bond of trust was broken when you walked out before we even began to initiate our treatment or recommendations. Our office isn't for everybody... It's for people who believe in congeniality, respect & good intentions. I completely support my team and the way we interact with our patients. I sincerely hope you find your dental home, it's really important to your health and longevity.

A couple of years ago I moved from Orange County to LA and started getting my regular cleanings done at a local dentist. I rarely write reviews, but I would give Vanek Dentistry a 10 out of 10 for my experiences with Dr Vanek and his caring staff. I started going there about 3 years ago for some routine dental maintenance. I had neglected my oral health for a bit, but the staff there got my on a routine cleaning schedule and now my gums are healthy and I am happy with my overall oral health. Cosmetically, Dr Vanek and his ceramicist are a wizard. I had some old two front crowns and Dr Vanek replaced them perfectly. I never really wanted to change them, but Dr Vanek explained to me what the difference would look like and how it would all work. My smile looks better than ever and it cost far less than I thought it all would because Claire, their billing officer worked with my dental insurance carrier to ensure I would minimize my out of pocket costs and also helped me structure the procedure to maximize my Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Dr. Vanek takes real pride in his craft and the staff care and listen about the overall well being for their patients. The office is conveniently located right off Harbor Blvd on the 405 and I am so lucky to have found this place. I recommend wholeheartedly.

My experience as a patient was beyond 5 stars. Dr. Vanek keeps you informed step by step throughout the entire procedure. He was super gentle when it came to giving me anesthetic. I didn't even feel it. Next thing I knew, I was numb. My crown fit perfectly. I love the fact that his lab is on site. I already had my family schedule their appointments.

A couple months ago, on a Friday, I was having excruciating tooth pain. My normal DDS refused to take me because they were booked for that day. I googled “emergency dentist near me” which is how I found Dr. Vanek’s office. I called immediately, and I was greeted with such warmth and concern over the phone by the receptionist. She listened to my concerns, could hear how much pain I was in and graciously fit me in right then and there even though they close at 2:00pm on Friday’s. When I arrived at their office I was taken back right away. I was given a numbing shot for the pain and they took x-rays to see what the problem was. As it turned out, I had an infection where a 10-year-old root canal was done. It was not pretty. Dr. Vanek and his team took action immediately while telling me exactly what they were going to do, step-by-step along the way to make sure I was comfortable. Everything was explained to me very clearly with my estimates already drawn up as well. I really appreciate the transparency at this office and not feeling like I was forced to have any work done. Because of this experience, I am now a permanent patient of Dr. Vanek.

Jodie the dental hyg. and the staff are all friendly, however, the discerning part of me feels like its all a cover up in order to up sale. Ive been a faithful patient for 2 years and unfortunately I was deceived today....which makes me sad that people feel the need to do this to innocent patients. Thankfully, I am in the financial position to pay for what they demanded (without tell me cost ahead of time) but what if I wasn't? What if I needed that money to feed my children or pay my rent? It breaks my heart that they would do this and I'm glad it was to me and not someone who was really in need. Too bad they think a few bucks is worth losing a whole family over.

He fixed my two front teeth , which now look amazing! He was like an artist fixing my front teeth. Couldn't be happier. He now has a life long client! I had an amazing experience with Dr. Vanek and his staff! I chipped my front tooth when I was a little girl and have always had a filling there. You could always see the line of the filling on the tooth and mild discoloration. I thought this was as good as it could get and have lived with it self-consciously for years...until I met Dr. Vanek. He took one look at it and said he could absolutely fix it. I am a nervous dental patient, so even though I was very excited to get my tooth fixed, I put it off for several months. After yesterday's experience, I have not idea why I waited so long. Dr. Vanek explained everything up front and also step by step while doing the procedure. I had no pain or discomfort at all and the results literally brought tears to my eyes! My tooth looks fantastic!! you can't see where the filling is at all. In fact, I actually had to ask Dr. Vanek which tooth it was that he fixed after it was done as it looks exactly like my undamaged front tooth. He was even able to remove those pesky bright-white calcium deposits left over from my braces years ago. At 40, my teeth look more beautiful than they ever have and I have been smiling non-stop! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Dr. Vanek and all of your wonderful staff for your skill, compassion and understanding...I couldn't be happier with the results!

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They even asked my favorite color and changed the waiting room light to match it. The cleaning and exam was thorough and I was able to see exatly what my teeth looked like visually with digital pictures. It was a great visit.

I can say that this office not only didn't cause any pain but they also kept me very informed to what was going on with my teeth which I had not ever experienced. I came to see Dr Vanek to get a tooth extracted, he informed me that he would still be able to save my tooth and that and that extraction was the worse case scenario. I was terrified when he told me I need a root canal but it was QUICK and PAINLESS. My mouth was back to normal in 2 days. Thank you Dr V for being such a great Dentist!

I was fortunate enough to go back to Dr.Vanek today (I had gone to him for years before I lost my PPO insurance but I finally got it back). Anyways , he is the Best! My previous Dentist with my HMO was suggesting a possible crown for an old filling where the tooth was starting to crack a tiny bit, and it was located in the back of my mouth in a hard to reach area. I put it off as I was dreading that procedure. I was happy to discover that I still had Dr.Vanek's # stored in my phone. I went in for a consult today & he remembered me after 3 years ! He offered to take care of it then and there. Of course that was not my intention today, but I got it over with and he even saved my tooth :) I'm one who gets anxiety about even having my teeth cleaned. Silly , I know but that's just how I've always been. So today, when I decided to have that tooth fixed I could feel myself tensing up before he even started. He suggested the Nitrous Oxide so I tried it . It made a huge difference. If you're anything like me it's well worth the additional cost.He's very gentle & I felt no discomfort , it's the sounds that give me the anxiety (even with head phones on). One other thing I want to say about him is that I trust him. He's not one of those Dentists that will recommend work that you don't need. I'll never go to anyone else again !

I was in Costa Mesa needed some emergency dental work. I found Dr. Vanek he was very accommodating squeezed me in to his schedule. He was very thorough in his explanation of what the best course of treatment would be. I thought my only option was an extraction but Dr. Vanek said he was able to save the tooth. Hooray!

I have been a client of Dr. V for more than a year now and he has helped me through some pretty terrible times. I first went in with an emergency to re-cement a crown that was poorly done by another dentist. I was so happy with the experience that I ended up coming back and signing up on their in-house discount plan and got what was a MUCH needed cleaning done. Dr. V is very straight forward and does not pressure you into un-needed dental work, like so many other dentists do. He also tells you exactly what he is doing when he is doing it, which I personally really like. I have had a couple emergencies come up, with a lot of pain involved, and Dr. V has done everything he could to get me in as quickly as possible (usually within 30 minutes of me calling) and getting me out of pain as fast as possible. The staff is great as well. Jonathan has been the assistant for much of the work I have had done and he is great. Always has a smile on his face and makes you feel very comfortable. The front office staff is great too. I recommend this office very highly!

I went a little longer than you should in between teeth cleanings, and was a bit nervous about my check-up and cleaning! But when I arrived, my hygienist, Jodi made me feel at ease. She asked a few questions and did a thorough examination before my cleaning. She was patient and took great care in making my cleaning as painless as possible! Dr. V also met with me and made a few suggestions to keep my teeth and mouth healthy.
