We’ve had another dentist for him before, that was more “adult”-like, and very visit was a struggle to keep him in the chair and to open his mouth. A friend recommended Discovery pediatrics, and we are so happy to switched. The dentist is kind and engages with our kid, even explains to him what is happening. The space is set up for families, it’s a small things that make your life easier (like the play area for kids while adults can sort out the billing - so thoughtful!)

The dentists and assistants are very experienced with children and patient with them as well. The dentists are also knowledgeable about things to look for when caring for our child’s teeth and is very friendly when answering our questions.

Excellent care from all of the staff. The dentist and hygienist are all very caring people. All of the clinical staff are skilled and patient. We've been coming here for over 10 years. They can answer questions about insurance billing and are up front about out of pocket costs. Dr. Wang explains procedures using age appropriate language to alleviate any anxiety. But she is upfront about needing to step up the brushing or flossing, if necessary.

My son is autistic and has ultimate fear of dentist procedures. The entire staff has been amazing working with him. He got his favorite cartoons streamed to watch during the procedure. They go above and beyond to ensure my son is well cared for and as comfortable as he can be for dental cleaning, x-rays and exams. He gets to play with toys and a wall sized light bright prior to exam and gets toys on top of the customary tooth brush and floss. This office is top notch. I drive an hour and a half for good reason to go here and will continue to do so. Thank you team for being so great with my son!!!

Both my kids have gone to this dentist since they were little. The entire staff knows how to work with little ones and make them feel comfortable. The office has lots of toys and kids get to choose a gift after every visit. The office is also full of natural light and open so kids can see what other kids are having done. They are also expert in knowing when to refer for orthodontists, etc. Easy location to reach though you do have to pay for parking.

This was such a great experience all round. Dr Nate is a brilliant, empathic & relatable parent educator and he was clearly born to work with kids. My son’s first dental appt was actually really enjoyable for us both. The premises are set up brilliantly for kids (train set, neon peg board, big trucks), most of the consult was in the play area and when it came to actually looking in my sons mouth it was done in such a relaxed and collaborative way that my son wanted the game to keep going. 10/10 recommend.

The first time I had a great experience. This time, they were running 40-45 minutes late and didn’t say anything to us. Once we saw the dentist, it was a super quick appointment because they were running late.
Although we know this is too late, we believe an apology is always better late than never. We apologize for not taking the time to keep you in the loop with our schedule. We try our best to stay on schedule, and when we do sometimes have to run on what we call “Children’s Time” we also usually clearly communicate with other families about any delays. Clearly, we missed this time around, and apologize for the experience. We hope you’re willing to give us a chance to make it right at the next appointment. As an inside tip, we recommend trying early morning appointments or the first appointments in the afternoon (after lunch) as there is less chance for us to run on Children’s Time because frankly, there would be less children before the appointment. Thank you for your patience and for bringing up your experience as it helps us stay on track to deliver the high level of service we strive to provide for our patients and families.

This place was great but I have to doc a point for price. Holy wow are they expensive! I was shocked when they gave me the bill. They charge far more then my adult dentist and they didn’t even have to do anything. This was an introductory visit for a 16 month old where they brushed his teeth, visually examined them and applied a thin coat of fluoride. $400!!!! The fluoride alone was $140 and that very morning I had myself a dentist appointment and got fluoride on my much larger then baby teeth and was only charged $30. I feel robbed. But I will say the stuff was very friendly and efficient. While they were on time there was still pockets of time where we were waiting and a play area would had been nice, even like a wall activity board or something for a restless toddler to occupy themselves because it was exhausting trying to keep him entertained an patient. I think I would had expected more thought put into an establishment that works with children daily.

I've been taking my daughter to this practice for a couple of years. I highly recommend it. - It's easy to schedule appointments. - They're accommodating if I'm running a bit behind. - Their Covid protocol is good. It requires temperature check and hand sanitizer to be allowed into the practice, only 2-3 kids + one parent tend to be in the treatment area at once though they can accommodate many more, and their toys/gifts see as little touch as possible. - Everyone treating kids has an upbeat attitude and a friendly approach to kids. They make everyone feel at ease. Get there a bit earlier than appt. time as parking can be tricky.

My son has been coming here for over 5yrs now. Never had any problems. All the providers are great, including the front desk staff to the assistants in the back they are all great very friendly! But our favorite is Dr. Nate, he really just connects with my son. He's very gentle and laughs at my sons silly jokes! Tells stories to distract the child during a procedure! He's great! Highly recommend having your child be seen at this dentistry, always super clean, with COVID now even more. Have visited twice during pandemic have felt safe both times.

Update: Our daughter is now 3 and we've been consistently going to DPP every 6 months. The space follows all Covid protocols and felt super clean. Appointments and patients are well spaced out. Dr Melanie continues is still the great personable caring dentist that she is! All the assistants and staff are also super friendly. Love this place. ************************************************* So grateful our pediatrician referred us to DPD, we saw Dr Melanie and she can't be any more perfect. Super heart warming to our 15mo daughter, kind and patient as she walked us through all the necessary steps for proper hygiene and advice on weaning her off her pacifier. She didn't cry/whine at all when she helped her brush her teeth for the first time ever. The office set aside an area with activity tables and toys, I was beyond impressed. Not only is their office perfect for children, but they actually see you on time!

Staff is always super friendly every time we come in for our appointments (including when we are running a few minutes late). They have plenty of toys and kid/adult magazines to read while waiting to be seen. My kids (9 and 6 years old) have been seeing Dr. Nate since they were 2 years old. Through every cleaning and filling he is always patient with the kids including times when they don't want to be there!
