reposting my review from yelp.It's been over a year since I have been to a dentist because I had a horrible traumatic experience here. When I first came in I had a tooth that had been cracked for over a year. I let them know I had been avoiding it because in the past when having cavities filled I could feel pain despite numbing shots, and a low tolerance for pain. I ended up needing a root canal which was scheduled and it was mentioned I would need antibiotics. They never gave me the prescription so I thought it wasn't needed after all. When I came in for my root canal the nurses mentioned the antibiotics and I let them know I wasn't given a prescription. They still proceeded with the root canal. I later learned if there is an infection, antibiotics can make a root canal less painful. During the root canal I was in horrible pain. I was crying and making noises and the dentist ignored me and had a casual conversation with his assistant, with her telling him how great he was while I cried. He didn't have any care or sympathy. I can't help feeling this visit could have been less traumatic if they had made sure I had antibiotics, or took me seriously on my first visit. I was shaking and sweating and had a breakdown after leaving. I believe the doctor was Dr.Baja. Do not come here if you have dental fear.

This was hands down one of the most chaotic, unprofessional experiences I've ever had. I'm doing Invisalign and drove two hours to West Coast Dental in Covina for what should've been a normal appointment--only to be told my orthodontist QUIT, and they lost my impressions. No one told me anything beforehand. Not an email. Not a call. Nothing. I showed up thinking I was picking up my trays. Instead, I had to redo my impressions from scratch because they lost them and didn't bother to inform me. And come back AGAIN in 2 weeks. And the worst part? They only do orthodontist appointments on Thursdays, so I had to take time off work just to be blindsided like this. That's time and money I don't get back. And now I have to do it all AGAIN. And the wildest part? They called me the day before to confirm my appointment like everything was totally normal. When I brought that up, they told me the "general office" does all the calling, but those people don't actually work at the orthodontist office so "they don't really know what's going on." Like... girl what?? So you're just lying to people now? fibbers! I talked to Ximena at the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. She told me there was no manager present, and no one had been assigned in their place. I had to explain how basic management works to someone working the front desk. Like girl, I'm not tryna be your supervisor, I just want someone accountable. Then I tried to cancel with the girl sitting in the financial office because let's be real--this place had red flags all over it. I was told I'd have to go through a whole "audit" process, I wouldn't get a full refund, and I'd still have to pay "lab and processing fees." Processing what?? You didn't even process my case. You lost my stuff and wasted my time. That's not processing, that's robbery. A crime. Also: when I asked Ximena to leave feedback, they gave me a Yelp QR code for the WRONG dental office. When I pointed that out, they scrambled and gave me another one. Then I asked for a number to call about my experience, and they gave me a number to... make an appointment. You can't make this up. Like HELPPPP The only decent part was the new orthodontist, who honestly kept it real. He told me my original 9-month treatment plan from the orthodontist that quit was completely off and would only work if I was younger. So clearly I was misinformed from the beginning. Also, for the record--don't bother replying to this with one of those fake corporate apology comments like "We're sorry to hear this, please call our office." I already looked up the number. I already called. It went nowhere. I'll be leaving a review there too. This place is messy. Disorganized. And not built to actually care for patients. Do not waste your time with West Coast Dental in Covina. YOU BEEN WARNED!

His team members are very friendly and very accommodating.The front desk are very welcoming and make you feel relaxed. I came in this office today, to just get my regular teeth cleaned, the hygienist was Jasemine, just to start with, she was very rough, I was hurting, and bleeding, I did compliant, then she said she slower the speed or something, it's still hurting, they tried to explained that it was because my gum are inflamed and need to be cleaned that rough. This is just gaslight, I had my teeth cleaned regularly, and I am not pain sensitive, what kind of cleaning job that need to be hurting and bleeding??? Just admitted wrongdoing and say " Sorry, " Today my poor teeth were treated as drain, and met a hygienist treat her job as Plummer. If you do not like your job, go find something else, Lady.

Please read the reviews before you make an appointment. I did not and had a horrible experience with the front desk staff and the doctors. I was trying to find a dentist that accepts appointments for Saturdays as I did not want my 15 year old to miss his after-school tennis practice/matches. When I called on a Friday, I was glad to know that Dental Group of Covina not only is open on Saturdays but they gladly "squeezed" us in for the very next day. Arrived on time for the appointment at 10:00 am an waited patiently for an hour, when they finally called us in at 11:00 am. They tool X-rays for my son and sat us in a room for check-up/cleaning and they disappeared for another hour. At well past noon, I had no signs of anyone caring about us waiting and no updates as to when the doctor would finally show up. When I walked around to find someone, I saw that the doctor was attending patients that arrived much later, and that was it. I had to go to the front desk and let the lady know that we waited for 2 hrs and still no sign of doctor. To my surprise, the lady said that we have to wait and she cannot do anything about it being a busy Saturday. Total lack of empathy and poor customer service. I told her to cancel our appointment and walked out. I regret for not reading the reviews, which clearly indicate this is a very common complaint at this facility. I can't understand how they are in business with how they operate. Sorry, there are much better alternatives out there.

Unbelievable experience here , made a appointment for Saturday at 11:30 receptionist said it’s slow on Saturdays so I made one for Saturday at 11:30 am , I get a phone call at 11: 20 that Saturday and ask if I could go in at 12:30 instead cuss they a little back up so I say sure I arrive at 11:25 , get checked in and comes 1 pm no call , comes 1:15 I ask why the long wait , says they have a lot of people and over booked and not to worry I’ll be next , ok I waited , they call two people in am like hey you said I was next , they say sorry if I like to reschedule, I’m like what the chile beans do mean I been here waiting for one and a half and now you ask if I want to reschedule. Sorry but I had to walk out . Not good reception work on there part .

Great professional staffing. Dentist I had was thorough n explained what needed to be done and WHY. They did only exactly what I needed to be done. A cracked tooth extraction with a bridge. I go every 6 months except this past year due to moving etc n dreaded finding a new dentist. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend them.

Do not come here if you want to be treated kind or with respect. You walk in and no one greets you, then you walk up to the counter and all the girls stop gossiping to all in unison stare at you until you say something to them, then they look confused as you're explaining the work you want or need done. They then give you an answer hastily and seemingly annoyed by you being there... ontop of it, the dentist must be a car salesman too on the weekend, because all they do is try to upsell you on braces, more surgeries, etc. They are rude, painful, and inconsiderate to people who are nervous or scared of the dentist. I would give 0 to negative stars if it was am option.

After 2 years of coming here I finally would like to write a review about the terrible experience I've had with this dental office. They are extremely unprofessional. Everytime I have come in it has been nothing but problem. They sent in the wrong tooth for a root canal to insurance and I didn't find out until they were about to do the work that they messed everything up and wasted my time. When I came in for teeth whitening appointment they said oh sorry we can't do it today here's a free tooth brush. Again waste of my time. My husband came in for wisdom tooth extraction and they woke him up in the middle of surgery and told him to stop crying whilst ripping his reeth out of his skull. They did not call in his medication until it was already too late and he was in excruciating pain. The last time I went in for my crown fitting the dentist scratched my veneers and now I need two replaced. I absolutely hate this office. STAY FAR AWAY.

My third time with issues with this place. First time my grandson had an appointment at 9am to have for ortho and regular. They took him back and at 12 pm he texted me and said that he was still waiting . I asked them what happened and they said there was an emergency that was being worked on. When I made a stink about it because people where coming and going back to back but I think they just forgot about him in the back room. Then we he came out to go back to orth they were out to lunch. An appointment that started at 9 am ended about 3pm unacceptable. Then today I took him in at 830 am his appointment wasn't until 9. Second time screwed up the appointments for ortho and general same day instead they scheduling a cleaning without having made the ortho wasted day to have to come back .then today I told the girl at the desk that I needed to pay for the extra cleaning now or afterwards because I needed to run across the street. She said I could do it afterwards. While I am shopping my grandson calls me to state they can't do the cleaning until I paid for it. I was very upset since I has asked this prior to leaving. There are some people at the front desk who don't know if they are coming or going. Extremely not happy with this dentist. I do not recommend this dentist if they don't like customer service in the front. However, the dentists are great.

I’ve had other stories from this place.. but this is the straw that made me write a review. My appointment was at 10:00 AM. I arrived at exactly 10:00AM and was told to wait, I did so for over an hour. Then after I was called for X-rays I took them and was promptly told to wait AGAIN in the lobby because all the seats were taken and a room had not been prepared. I sighed, it was already 11:30 by that point. I sat back down and waited another 20 minutes to be sat in a chair to talk about my payment. After that it seemed like I was forgotten as the entire row of people in front of me being worked on had left before the doctor came to look at me… after the doctor looked at me and told me I only need a cleaning and I have no cavities I waited again for another HOUR before cleaning even began. Suffice to say the 10:00 appointment really began at 1:00 PM. I could have been simply told to wait at home or in my car and come back when the office was not as busy. Instead 4 hours of my day was wasted inside the clinic and my plans for a work call had to be cancelled. All this for a extremely simple cleaning… No respect for time management. The place is clean and procedures are done well, but someone needs to get on that schedule and be real with the clients upfront if the wait time is above an hour from their scheduled appointment.

This place just lost two patients. Your appointment time shouldn’t be longer than 30 minutes after that it’s not even consider an appointment it’s consider as a walk in. It has happened more than once. I came with my 13 yr old I could had been at work but instead I lost a day at work and didn’t even get seen by the dentist. I just left since I was very frustrated. The other appointment I had a week prior to todays appointment they canceled my appointment and told me they had many patients that I should re schedule so I wouldn’t wait more than an hour. So if you don’t mind waiting an hour even though you make appointment come here and waste your time. Plus another time I had an appointment for my wisdom teeth to get removed. Just for them to reschedule me that same day. So screw this place today was the end of it. Dental group of Covina disappointed me. And it’s literally 2 mins away from my home. Oh well I guess I’ll be driving to Pasadena to my old dentist instead

The radiologist was very nice and the dentist was all about patient care and not trying to make as much as he could . From my personal observation and my third experience. Covina facility is a pure environment. Definition in form of action that customers matters" From walking in the doors then walking you through the doors to meet with all the procedures staff is a very peaceful transition with little wait time. The chain of staff commutation is very professional and clear to the patient to understand what’s being said and done during their care. The work environment looks and feel organic and reflects no stress or a negative energy to the patient or within each others. Five stars to all the staff. I have been here twice and both experiences were great for me. The place is very clean and up to date with all their equipment. Both myself and my son went together. They take medical and PPO insurance. The staff is amazing and so nice. I was helped by Kimberly and Karina and they were amazing. The explained my whole dental process and even helped me get approved for Carecredit when I was previously denied from another company. Together they were amazing . My new dentist office. I came back again to have my deep cleaning and laser treatment on my gums and again the staff was amazing. Lola helped me on my second visit and she too was amazing. My Dr Baha was my dentist and he the greatest. Highly recommend this place

I checked the negative reviews of this clinic and still decided to go get service from them which was a bad decision I made. They messed up with scheduling and insurance authorization. I was not happy with that. I would not recommend this clinic to any of my friends or relatives.

The worst dentist office I've ever visited. Dr. Baha is most likely not even certified. He doesn't know what he is doing and doesn't care. He drilled my healthy teeth down and left the cavities untouched and covered over the bacteria he was supposed to drill out with filling material. He literally will numb you and leave you for hours and start to shave your healthy enamel and tooth structure in dull weird shapes just so you can hear the drilling and shaving tool on and think he’s doing what he’s getting paid to be doing. Well days later I was still in pain. He charged my insurance and actually did nothing and when I went to a new dental office the X-rays revealed his fraud. All 4 of the cavities were still there and clear on the X-ray he covered them over. Office experience is horrible I waited 4 hours on one day and 3 the next as he picked and choose who to see by phi cal attractiveness and looks. He is a horrible dentist. Beware he will charge you and leave your mouth worse off than when you arrived.

This is a horrible dental office, they are all about the money! I went to their office to be checked out and make sure I didn’t have any infections upon request of my surgeon, due to an upcoming knee surgery. They examined me and gave me x-rays and then proceeded to have the financial coordinator tell me I could and should have all my teeth fixed for $35,000 , and made me an appointment for the next day to get started!! Seriously ridiculous!!! When I called to cancel and tell them that all I needed was a letter for my surgeon to clear me of any infections, they were rude and pushy and said I needed to have work done first. I then called my surgeons office and explained what happened, they were not impressed either. I will not be going back there EVER!

I called yesterday to make an appointment for my four year old daughter. The receptionist took her name, date of birth and insurance information. She then scheduled us for today. We waited almost an hour, and the dentist came, blew some air on her teeth and said she needs to come back and see a pediatric doctor. The receptionist should have scheduled a pediatric patient with the pediatric doctor in the first place. Instead, they wasted an hour of my time, and expect me to return. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Additionally, they see pediatric patients next to adult patients. My daughter was scared of the noises coming from the patient next to her. Not to mention the patient was complaining of pain during the procedure. First experience at the dentist was a fail!

Stay away from this dental office. This office sucks! Definitely switching dental offices, call center scheduled me and then called me the day before my actual dental appointment telling me they had to cancel my appointment due to the doctor working that day not accepting my insurance.. I ended up rescheduling my appointment, made it to my appointment on time. Waited in the room for about an hour before I decided to walk out because Dr. Shawn skipped me to see a patient that had JUST sat down. Dr. Shawn you need to do better!

Must say this first. I love my Dr and nurses , they’re all very attentive and nice . Today I had a terrible experience with 1 person , her name is Bella , she’s the one that take imprints of your teeth. She was sooo rude and rough that I had to tell her to be nicer , her answer was “ well , I have to do this “ I said , but you don’t have to be so rough , she hurt me so bad that I had to take a pain pill after. Then she shouted out “ you don’t talk to me like that”! I asked to speak to whom ever was in charge. Never been through this before anywhere. But I DO highly recommend west coast dental .

I was about to give up on this place….until today 5/5/23 I had a tooth extraction with Dr Bahar and Dental assistant I think his name was Andrew… Dr Bahar not sure am spelling it correctly is absolutely the best!!! He did an excellent job… Andrew was awesome kept me calm all along….because of them I changed my mind and will keep coming to this dental practice…

I had a 1 o’clock appointment only to find out the doctors were out to lunch and I wasn’t seen until 2:05 pm. That’s was a whole hour later. That was completely unacceptable and I let everyone know from the assistant to the dentist to the ladies in the front office. So no! I will not be recommending anyone to your office anytime soon.

Going to the dentist is never a pleasurable experience but if you must go, I recommend this place. I had the good fortune of being seen by Dr. Haffar. The young man is a total gentleman, professional, ethical and friendly. I saw him treat his staff well which says a lot about someone and they all seem to enjoy working there. He did not try to oversell me on dental work either - which happens a lot at other places. The wait was a little long but thats typical of dentist offices. Nothing that would detract me from visiting.

Full disclosure my first encounter was awkward and that staff member ended up leaving the office. The team did everything possible to make things right and Keep me as a client. I was scheduled to get my wisdom teeth removed today earlier. They took my x-rays and I was examined by a Doctor who said I needed all four removed. Unfortunately I went in this morning and had another doctor tell me that they could not perform the surgery on me as my wisdom teeth are all way too close to the nerve and my top two wisdom teeth are way too high up. So I anticipated a whole month, spent hundreds of dollars on groceries and supplies preparing for today, only for the dentist, who has had my x ray for the last few months, refer me to two other surgeons (which by the way I have to wait another six weeks for a surgery I need) and for her to tell me I should’ve done it when I was 16. I don’t need a dental surgeon to blame me for this, when I haven’t had the means. I understand that they can’t possibly know my circumstances but it was incredibly unprofessional, infuriating, and I’ve wasted my time. I will hopefully be switching dental groups soon, because I’ve never been more upset.

Even though we had a referral for the pediatric dentist, they still hadn't told our insurance that anything would need to be done (though he had clear cavities at the first appointment), so we have to return for yet another appointment. This makes no sense. Also, my son went back for x-rays, and then a tech told me what was wrong. The dentist never spoke with me....like, what? They encouraged me to lie to my son about future procedures and say he just needed a cleaning, and when I said I thought that was going to make him fear the dentist, they hand wrote a note about my refusal to lie at their request and had me.sign it...ok. Then I was told that it is company policy for them to work.on my 5 year old without my presence...like, they want to use laughing gas and a weighted blanket type restraint, but I'm not allowed to be in the room. This is ridiculous. Not sure our insurance will give us another option...I'm not sure what to do.

I made a same day appointment for a painful toothache. My wait to get started was the shortest I can recall ever in a dentist or doctors office. I had a tooth extraction that was not even painful , the Dr and his aide were very professional , knew what they were doing with not much discomfort to my person. And the front office were very professional , no one in the dentist office tried to pressure me into getting other work done besides what I went in for. All my other dental visits in the past have had that. My being pressured into getting other expensive work done whether it is really needed or not. I strongly recommend this dental office and doctor.

Paid over $1000 for something she never got use Also with my son’ s braces, after two year of treatment contract they said he needed additional treatment to get his teeth straightened. A very unacceptable experience. I received a phone call to come in for my 6 month check-up. I was very specific that I want a cleaning performed and to confirm with my insurance. After coming in, having x-rays, taking time off from work U was told my insurance cover cleanings once per year. A total waste of time and the dentist that saw me today was very impersonal, Not friendly, arrogant. I have been a patient for many years. My daughter is a patient, she received her orthodontic treatment in this office. I expect better service. Very dissatisfied.

I came for a general check up and cleaning; made an appointment prior and all was set so I thought. Upon arrival at 10 am we were checked in and sat for almost 1 hr until getting seen. Once the X-rays were taken I was sent back and had to wait for 2 more hours with the waiting room not even fully occupied just to end up having to reschedule my cleaning for another day. The receptionist then proceeded to ask “Are you sure it’s only gonna take 10 minutes.” if it was only gonna take 10 minutes why were the orthodontists seeing patients who’s appointments were after mine and I had to sit for 3 hours. Do not I repeat do not visit this office if you have Medi Cal because they will not prioritize you at all. If I could give them -5 stars I would !

I was very impressed, starting with Samantha at the front desk who made sure I was taken care of and was very kind. Dr. Bahas was exceptional. He was very friendly, professional, and patient with me since I was very nervous. He explained everything very thoroughly, and made me feel at ease during my visits. ( I had multiple procedures done) Sara, Anabela, and the other girls ( I didn't get their names) were also fantastic. I highly recommend this office for anyone needing dental work done. Great job!

(I wish I could give 0 stars) My son went to get his moldings for braces on July 18th. They told me that it took approx. 8 weeks (approx. 9/8) to get back an approval/denial from medical. I waited until August 26 to call and see if they had an update and was told that they couldn't give me updates to call medical dental. I called medical dental right after and was told that as of 8/26 they had not received ANY paperwork or moldings on file. I told them that it should have been sent around 7/18 if they thought maybe it was to early to see. The lady told me no, that since so many weeks had already passed that they should already see it because ten days after moldings are sent the paperwork is sent to them by the dental office. After I hung up with them I called the dental office and told them exactly what was said to me and they said that the braces dept. was no in that day & i needed to call back on Monday. Which was annoying because they should have the same system and be able to see what was going on. She transferred me to the billing dept to leave a voicemail. I called back Monday 8/29 and spoke to "Cassandra" and told her everything I had found out and she said that she was going to check the ortho request and to call her back in 2 days. I called back today 9/1 and was told there was no Cassandra in the office, but that she saw a note in my sons file and that "per Medical" they needed new moldings that supposably Medical dental had gotten back to them 8/30 with that notice. I asked her when the request for braces was sent and she told me that on 7/18. I made a new apt for his molding to be taken and hung up. I called medical dental right after and they told me that was a lie. They still had NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING AT ALL! She told me that she recommended a new office or after his new moldings were done to call back 10 business days later to make sure they had received them. I called back the dental office 9/1 and spoke to Carina (the manager) and she apologized and said that they had a new way of things and everything was sent to a remote ortho billing and unfortunately the moldings were lost in the process. So in fact nothing was ever sent to medical. They made me waste 6 weeks waiting for nothing. How frustrating to be back and forth being lied to for a whole week. So many weeks had passed by and if I didn't call no one would have noticed. I suggest for any new patients looking to go to DENTAL GROUP OF COVINA to think twice about it. Look for a place that is truthful and cares about the patients and follows up with the procedures/paperwork needed. No need to blame a "new system in place". Take accountability for your actions and hopefully, people know that the office staff is careless/irresponsible.

I was very upset they didnt explain well the procedure.They were going to do on me so they sat me down. Told me that I was going to get work done long story short they left me thier for a while. Came and put some type of product on my teeth and when she was done she walk away. I was their waiting to see if I was done or if they were going to to anything else I got tiered of waiting so I got up and ask someone to help me. I didn't know what was going on I felt ignored and un appreciated will be changing dentist.

Do not go here!!! My 86 yr old mom went in. Her cap had fallen off an old root canal she showed the dentist after the exam and he said I can fix that for you. He took 10 minutes popped it and was done. As my mom left they told her she owed $110 that she had not authorized. She used her credit card thinking she had no choice and was just confused and in shock. They never told her there was a charge to put the cap back in or got her authorization for this. She went back complained to the dentist he assured her that they’d void the charges. Nope just more putting her off and complete unprofessional rudeness. Really it took the dentist no supplies and 10 minutes of his time and you’re telling me there was nothing they could do to void that charge. My mom is on Medicare and social security so she doesn’t have the money to just pay something that wasn’t planned. These people will trick you and lie to you avoid them at all cost!!

My gf goes here for her dental work and most every appointment she's booked has had to wait hours just to get called in. She's waited hours I the chair bc the dentist split their time between her and other clients. Appointments get rescheduled on short notice multiple times for almost every appointment she's has as well. The staff is mediocre at best, negligent and rude at worst. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

I give this guys a second chance and they give me an appointment for 10am. It’s almost 12 and they haven’t even call my name. I rather walk out of this place and never come pack. Dr. Berger and his assistants are amazing. Today was my last day with braces. When they brought out the retainers I noticed they were Hawley, which I thought, from the beginning of my treatment, that they were going to be clear retainers. Dr. Berger told me that I could wear the Hawleys in the meantime while the clear ones were sent to be made. The manager Amanda came and took the Hawleys and had an assistant make some clear ones really fast in the office. Which I didn’t mind I just wanted to get out of the office. My thing is that they were made extremely fast and there’s a lot of the plastic covering my gums. Why couldn’t she just do what the doctor said at first? Even the assistant doing them asked me why I wasn’t going to send them to get made. Like the doctor said. It’s not my first encounter with managers doing this. They always go against what the doctors say just to make a quick buck.

From the moment I walked I was greeted with kindness, the front desk was welcoming and attentive. Dr Habibi was so nice and took the time too explain everything I was going to need. It’s been years since I’ve been at a dentist so I was a bit hesitant going in especially because I don’t have insurance but karina was able to offer me a payment plan that won’t hurt my pockets. I have been to this Office three times and I must say the young lady that provided my ex rays has always been respectful and treated me like a person as well the Dr.. Hensel Montilla.Both are excellent with their Compassion, Professionalism and respect for there patients.Dr.Montilla explains everything through he gives you alternative options and what I love the most is that he doesn't perform any procedures unless you really truly need them and he doesn't come off as a money grabber he has compassion for all patients that comes through his office and his ability to provide painless service is incredible to the Soul.I was bothered by how the service was provided to me by the office manager to pay for my Dental work.I wasn't given any detail explanation on how much things would cost or what my insurance covered I was told it would be about 1200 in total I then ask that's my insurance pay for some of it and she stated yes it would have been 2000 and something dollars if they hadn't. There was no compassion and no respect I just felt like I was treated like a poverty stricken person only because I have medical and my ethnicity is of colored. after reading some comments I see she's able to provide professionalism to others. I really don't blame her as a person totally I blame the city for tolerating this type of discrimination and behavior.

You tried to charge my daughter after her contract was already paid off and then said she gave you permission to extend it when she didn’t. I was extremely unhappy with my experience. My kids have had their braces on for four years and they are being told they should have them on longer? I feel as if your office was trying to scam us into paying more money. And made daughter feel very uncomfortable telling her she owed you $220 after everything was already paid off.

I was assigned to Dental Group Of Covina a branch of West Coast Dental Group the very first time. So I went to my very first appointment to learn about the place and the dentist and to have them take xrays of the mouth since I was not in pain and I only needed teeth cleaning which was due in April. In short a dentist there gave me infection, injured right side of the mouth with immense squirming pains, but he did not stop and kept injecting Lidocaine 8 times with big needle. It caused swollen gum on two molars, bottom lip on right side, throat pain ear pain -- all on the right side. I was on liquid food. Alas, there were no instruction or medicine for the infection or pain till I demanded for some prescription. At the end of 6th day after the dental work, and upon my insisted request I was prescribed anti biotic, but no other instructions to ease pain or swelling. On this 6th day I was attended by another senior dentist who touched the infected gum without looking and I screamed in pain in front of the manager there. He seemed upset and said I can not do rootl canal, he must see a specialist since he needed a root canal. This dentist also had seen me the second day of dental work and said, by examining the X-ray, that I needed root canal first. This meant to me that sever error was made by the first dentist who was there for 3 months, who bypassed the root canal to start drilling the two molars.

Another Ortho visit where 2+ hours of our time was wasted. The orthodontist could not tell what my son needed because he "could not tell" from the medical files and notes, and supposedly they were incomplete, and he was just filling in. This is a common occurrence here.. What energy I had left was wasted waiting and nothing came of it. The staff was densive and not once acknowledged or apologize. Three years we been there for son' braces and no one can read the files to definitively say what else is missing, what's next. Horrible.

Where do I start. I’ve been going here- for both ortho and general- for almost six years now and the experience has been overall negative. There is no consistent ortho group, it’s a traveling team so keep that in mind if you’re coming here. I have never had a consistent doctor who has tracked my progress for at least a year- they’re constantly changing. The teams are inexperienced in comparison to the doctor. Many are inexperienced and don’t have enough practice with a simple change of wires and bands. The communication with my braces was horrible, I never even got a semi detailed plan or structure. I understand I played a role in the extension of my initial estimate, I can understand a half year extension but the extension was well over two years than what was estimated. And the change in doctors just worsened the situation- they didn’t seem invested and I got the feeling they just didn’t care because they’re not going to be at this location for very long anyway. For how much we paid for braces we didn’t the experience or service that matched that price As for general the communication for wait times is bad too. What the point of scheduling an appointment months ahead of time if you’re going to wait two hours and over for a treatment that only takes fifteen minutes to an hour to complete? They’re very attentive that you come in on time but don’t care enough to call you if doctors are busy and likely won’t get to you on time. The only reason i’m leaving two stars is because most of the receptionists are very nice! To be honest, it’s a roll of the dice what kind of experience you’re going to have here.

I been taking my kids here 10 years already and have been happy with their service and staff are very friendly, recently 2021 I have been having issues with the time they call you in. Why do they give you an appointment time and takes them 1 1/2 hour to get you in. I had gone 1/21/22 and I waited to be seen then when they took me in they told me they couldn’t see my toddler because he didn’t let himself so they made an appointment for him with the specialist so I waited 1 1/2 to get in to tell me my son has cough cannot see him. I just needed for them to check his two front teeth he fell and they chip from the bottom. I am so disappointed. Children have only an attention span of 1/2 hour I tried my best to keep him interrtain he got inpatient plus he was hungry.

So I went to this specific office for the first time on 12/31/2021 for pain and a cracked wisdom tooth. As I was getting x-rays done I was trying to explain to the dental assistant ( Jose ) what I was feeling what happened and what was currently going on with me but of course he was rude cut me off and told me to explain my problems to the Dentist. At this point I was in mild to severe pain had an headache said to him " sorry if I seem to be uneasy iM just in pain. He then replies with " I can have an attitude to iM just at work so I have to act professional ". I just tried to be the bigger adult and leave it alone. Then he was going back and fourth about paperwork. He then came and said " the dentist is going to numb you " the dentist walks over sits down and then what felt " forceful " he didn't consider the pain I was in he just shot a needle in my outer gum and then in my inner gum. He told he was going to pull my wisdom tooth out the broken piece behind it out. As he was finishing he put stitches in my gum and told me that he took care of the issue and to come back this coming Friday 01/07/22 I did as I was told by not drinking or smoking but as the days from Friday went on and I took my meds the pain HAS INCREASED as iM sitting here typing this iM bleeding my gum is throbbing and I feel pieces of my teeth that were supposed to be pulled out still in my gum. Two pieces of my teeth have just came out. I am sitting here crying because iM in so much pain it seems that I came out with more pain then I went in with.

Also a few days ago I called the dental office to ask that they return the authorization of my dental treatment to the medical insurance because I no longer wish to be treated in that office and they only promised to return my call and I never received it and every time I called they were excuses that the manager or person in charge went out to lunch and that she called me and that call never came, another of the things that since I never heard that call, I called again to ask them to return the authorization to medical and the girl told me that He attended to me, told me to wait to review the file and they hung up on me twice when I called. I chose not to call anymore and do it with the second step or plan B and I am solving it perfectly. What I'm getting at is don't waste your time with that irresponsible and non-compliant office. Besides, they do not attend the appointment time but after 2 or more hours. So my rating will be 1 star. I'm sorry but it's the right thing to do. ⭐️ and I will never return to that office and poor doctors, the staff there are leaving them without jobs and with very bad reviews.

It was the amount of time wasted..I contacted this dentist looking for help with some pain that i had on my tooth and i asked if they accepted medical?? They said yes and to please come in for a exam...i waited more than a hour in 1/2 patiently..i really needed my tooth to be checked out..the dentist finally did my exam only to tell me that i needed crowns on 4 teeth and somehow it turned cosmetic instead of emergency ... Apperantly medical doesnt cover anything but xrays and a deep cleaning..and the visit was now going to cost me 4,500..dude im in pain i wish someone would of told me that they were just in it for the money and not my well being... If you have money to spend then by all means check them out

I went to this office a couple of weeks ago. it was a great experience. The receptionist Izzy was friendly and very helpful. Then the dental assistant Sara was also very good. She took my x-rays and sat me at my chair. She made sure everything was ready for when the doctor arrived. She also did a great job with my cleaning. I felt like I had a radiant smile. Doctor Montilla was great! He was very thorough and explained everything very well. He was very professional and he even made me laugh. This is the kind of doctor you need in case you are nervous when coming to the dentist. Dr Montilla referred me to orthodontics for braces. The ortho team was able to see me that same day. That was amazing! They gave me a consult and I began the process to get Invisalign. I also got to meet the office manager Rocio. She was the one who explained the pricing. She was very detailed on what my insurance covered and what I needed to pay out of pocket. I had not been to the dentist in years afraid of having a horrible experience. I can say this is the best I have ever been treated. This team has excelled in customer service. Definitely my go-to team.

I went to a dentist appointment elsewhere and they said they couldn't do fillings or a cleaning until I removed my wisdom teeth with them but here at Dental Group of Covina they helped me with everything I wanted and needed for my teeth. Went for my deep cleaning and ended up staying for other treatment and was surprised by how detailed and dedicated the staff was. After a long consult I was treated by Dr. Montilla and he made me feel good and safe during and after the procedure. By far the worst dentist I have ever been to. My appointment was at 1pm and wasnt called back until 2:10. And that was just for the X-ray. The X-ray tech told me I won’t be able to be seen for at least an hour after cause the doctor has to grab lunch. She told me I should grab some lunch and come back… Also, the X-ray tech did not clean the X-ray machine between patients. There was dried blood on the machine!! When I brought it to her attention, she proceeded to tell me, “it’s not blood. It’s paint. They paint the walls here sometimes” mind you, there’s no red paint in the building at all. She also kept touching the mouse and the X-ray machine, then putting her hands in my mouth without changing her gloves. Come 3:15, I was finally called back to be seen by a dentist that was rude, didn’t take the time to listen to my situation, and said I’d have to wait an hour for treatment. I literally walked out. I wasn’t about to wait an hour (which would have been 4:30) when my appointment was at 1pm. Don’t waste your time here. They will literally waste your time. And to top it off, the doctor only gives you ten minutes of his time and is rude.

This place is so chaotic. The nurse who did my 8 year olds X-rays was struggling with the x ray machine and told me to push the button for her. We did over 8 X-rays this was something I have never been asked to do by any medical professional! My appointment was at 4 my daughter was having sever tooth pain. Was not seen until after 5 then was rushed by the dentist who saw her for less than 10 minutes. He told me she needs to see a specialist come back in 2 weeks. Mind you she is in sever pain. He said keep giving her pain meds until she is seen. An hour and half just to be told come back in 2 weeks and she needs to push through the pain? This was our First and last time coming here.

Customer was arguing with the dentist in the back and it was getting loud for my minor who was next to her. I really enjoy my Dentist, Dr. John, he is very comforting. Also, the staff is really friendly. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone! Edit: August 2021 I have been coming to this location well over 4 years and I can say there has been so many inconsistencies. 1) The dentist: there never seems to be a consistent dentist that works there. I have been seen by over 5-6 dentist in the course of 4 years. And each one seems to have their own treatment plan. 2) Unnecessary work: I would visit the dentist regularly and one dentist would say one thing and another would say something else. It’s rare when a dentist isn’t pushing a product that you can do without. 3) lack of resources: I had an ortho appointment and needed a different of treatment, I was handed a paper and told to call. No follow-up from dental office. When calling the locations, the contacts provided were out of date. 4)wait time: don’t expect to be seen at your appointment time, because you’ll be in an 1/2-1hr only to be asked to come back. Overall, please do your research.

AWFUL! Don't waste your time, we WAITED FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR and then, they rescheduled us because it was too late to verify our insurance. (Ok, it may happen, let's try again) Two days later, we had our new appointment and after 1 hour, They told us: "you are next, just wait 10 more minutes" and 50 minutes later, we were still waiting (yeah, ALMOST 2 HOURS IN TOTAL). We decided to leave (nobody has time to wait that long). I only saw their rate (4.0) and I thought it was enough, but I should've read the comments as well; there are many saying similar situations!

I was told I could come in to see an Endodontist as an emergency patient because I was feeling pain at the site of the tooth. I left work early and rushed down to the pathetic dental office. Waited about 2 1/2 hours and was told that they couldn't see me. What! But here's the kicker! The staff employee FLAT OUT LIED TO MY FACE! She said I spoke to the call center and made the emergency appointment with them and not the office directly. Well, I called around 2:30 and actually I spoke to someone in the office. But no, she was trying to convince me I spoke to the Call Center. It's amazing how people have no shame of lying and on top of that...believe their own lies! I left, I called the office manager and asked if she trains her office staff to lie? She said I can come back after I drove all the way home so they can relieve my tooth of pain until I can get the root canal done the following month. I told her that she couldn't tell me that before I left? Anyway, here's another kicker! The office manager lied too! Unbelievable!!! I told her if I came back I wanted to know what my co-payment will be. She said she will have one of her staff members call me soon to let me know. Well, never received a call and was so disgusted I decided not to go back to Dental Group of Liars of Covina. I think that name is more fitting...don't you think? Oh yeah! The first liar told me that since I couldn't see the Endodontist that day for my pain...I can drug myself for a whole month on pain killers until my appointment. Really?! Big Pharma must be her biggest fan!

I started coming here earlier this year and was able to get started right away with a treatment plan and was able to book appointments so easily. I didn't have to wait too long for the next step in my dental treatment plan which is nice when you're worried about something getting worse with time. My son had appointment to get his wisdom teeth remove then doing that they did 4 feelings on him when i told Karina I didn’t want anything done on him only his wisdom teeth pulled out only I told Karina to call me When he was out of the exam and she never did I tried to speak to the manager they told me she was gone for the day later she comes out and leaves so the next day I called and told Karina I Want to talk to the manager Rocio So I went in my lunch and she was not there I was so upset that the front desk didn’t tell her I was going in so I told them just to make sure she gives me a call when she comes back she never called me so from day one that office was so unresponsible we had both insurances and they were billing my husband‘s insurance before mine when I was the primary and they were building the insurance for so many things a root canal feelings cleaning I’ll kinds of stuff that he did not get done I called insurance and I reported it to them that they were doing fraud because we never did all that stuff the only thing he got done was 4 feelings in my insurance covers 100% and they charged my son $50 out of pocket when we don’t even have a $50 co-pay that office don’t know how to do their own work so if I would recommend anybody they’ll be no that office looks so dirty And they’re not professional at all so for me to grade this office I’ll be zero And he was there for 5 hours that’s how long it took to do 4 feelings Never going back

I will not be going back!! I’ve never been to a dental office where they get a full set of X-rays but can’t do general cleaning of your teeth until they get a break down of what your primary dental insurance covers!! This after I just took them my secondary insurance. I was livid!! I am a retired nurse with great retirement insurance both medical and dental. This Dental office is more interested in cosmetic dental needs then just the basic needs like cleaning your teeth!!!

Five months ago I got in much quicker but still had a unreasonably long wait. I used to get in and out in less than an hour for the same work. Time to find another dentist!

I came to this dental office for the first time last Saturday, and I cannot say enough what a great experience it was! From the moment I walked in, front desk ladies, Rocio and Karina, were ON IT. From temperature checks (covid) to processing my paperwork super fast and being incredibly kind. As for my dentist, Dr. Montilla, he is the reason I came all the way from LA. I'd follow him everywhere. Extremely efficient even in a busy day and attentive to any needs/pain I may have. His assistants were also top notch. Overall everyone was friendly, and knowledgeable. Honestly I would make that 30min drive from LA without thinking about it twice.

Waiting room was surprisingly crowded and appears as they abandoned their own safety protocol from last year. Anyone can enter the dental office now. Feels unsafe now. The pet clinic is at least responsible enough to have you phone in and wait in your car until they are ready to take you in for your appointment.

Got exam from specialist. Suggested deep cleaning. Was put in chair half of my mouth was numbed. Then the office dentist doctor came in and rechecked me. Left me in the chair for 30 minutes without any contact letting me know what's going on. Finally office secretary came in and explained to me what was to go on and how much I was supposed to pay mind you novocaine had wore off I never got my teeth cleaned. My insurance barely covered anything and the majority of the Bill they wanted me to pay out of pocket.i couldn't afford it. This should have been explained before I was.numbed. Total waste of my time.

The doctor we saw today literally yelled at my 4 year old because she was crying. My daughter is not one that cries easily we have had this same thing done 6 times and she has never made a sound. For him to yell at her when she is crying because she is in pain is absolutely unacceptable. I will never go back there. I do not suggest taking your children here.

Our appt was at 4pm they called us after 45mins. My complaint the waiting was so long. Even inside the room my husband still had to wait for another 15-20mins. I hope they will improve this what’s the use of making an appt if we had to wait for 45mins or longer.

I like it here. Have been going here for years. But please be aware- because of Covid 19 protocols there tends to be a waiting period even if you arrive at the appointed time. So- talk to the receptionist, ask them how long the wait may be and ask them to call your cell when you're next. You can have an appointment time and they still don’t see you till you’ve been waiting 40 mins. They have FIVE, 9am appointments and only ONE dentist available. What’s the point of an appointment time if you’re not being seen at that time. Also, who schedules 5 appointments for the same time. Doesn’t make any sense. We’re in a pandemic and they have their waiting room filled. My appointment was at 9am, it’s now 9:50 am and I have yet to have any dental work done. I gave 4 stars because you never know what you will get here. Overall the practice is great!! I always recomend this place to my friends. If you get the dental hygienist that's a darker skin tone she is amazing!!! I wish I got her name, she remembers you and gives great advice!! They are very good about not filling cavities unnecessarily, I have 4 very small cavities that they have been watching for about 3 years now and they said they will choose not to fill them unless they get bigger because they would have to make a bigger hole to fill them. Also, when I started with them I had just started using my companie's insurance and I had gingivitis but the dental hygienist had told me on my last visit that it was the most improvement she had ever seen in a patient. On the other hand if you get the fair skinned dental hygienist she is terrible!! I had my appt un July 2020 and she flossed my teeth for me, even though I had just flossed at 6:30 AM and the appt was at 8 AM. She flossed my teeth painfully with the old cheap floss by going directly on my gums between my teeth instead of gliding along between the tooth and gum. Of course my teeth are going to bleed if you floss right on the gum instead of going between the teeth!! Who taught her how to floss??? I have never had a worse experience in my life with a dentist as I did with her!! She then told me that I needed to floss my teeth and said that my gums would not be bleeding if I flossed regularly, which I do!! I never bleed, I floss my teeth with the glide floss and I do it correctly, unlike her!! She then proceeded to tell me that she didn't mind taking my money on more visits though if I didn't listen to her and what she was telling me to do. Like lady, I just met you, you did your job incorrectly, painfully, and now you're insulting me. Never, ever going to allow her near my gums again. Still love the place for the dentists and that other nice and helpful dental hygienist though! Edit/Update: Had my 3 month checkup today with Carlos, he is amazing!!!! Ask for him!! Renewed this to a 5 star rating!! He actually does your check-up pain free! I have never had such a relaxing and enjoyable visit! He takes the time to teach you good techniques and does qhat is in your best interest. Super happy with my visit today in October 2020.

Claudia, who's the office manager there, is completely incompetent of running that office!!!! EVERY TIME I've had a procedure done there, I have to STAY ON TOP of the office staff, to MAKE SURE that my paperwork is processed correctly, or else MONTHS GO BY without my follow up treatment getting addressed!!!! It took them 6 MONTHS to get my (top only) dentures to me!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! I had a route canal done in JULY & I'M STILL trying to get it crowned, (today is Oct. 5th)!!!!! Kenia, who is also part of the office staff, is BEYOND RUDE, because she will hang up in your face if she disagrees with what you're saying. By the time you're done speaking with her, your blood is boiling and NOTHING GETS RESOLVED!!!! I've sat in the lobby with several other patients and listened to all the COMPLAINTS they have and found that I am NOT THE ONLY PATIENT who is TOTALLY FRUSTRATED with this office staff!!!! I've even been privy to catch members of the back office staff/dentists, expressing their anger/frustration towards the front office!!!!! It's just RIDICULOUS, all the HEADACHES one must endure at this place!!!! Most of their patients are Latinos, and they get looked down upon & treated as tho they're stupid, because they're either timid or don't seem to know any better. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It did take a while but I understand it was because of covid-19 safety procedures. Dr. Amir Hemmati did my root canal and diligently answered my questions, it was virtually painless and I will choose to go back to this office for any future dental needs.

I had an emergency appointment at 11 am due to extreme tooth ache. Got there at 10:55, i literally had to wait 2 hours to be seen. I didn’t get seen until 12:50ish. Got checked real quick. Dentist seemed nice. However, i couldn’t get any treatment done at all. Dentist left along with the assistant and I was left there alone for about 15 minutes and didn’t hear back from anyone until i walked to the front desk to ask the receptionist! Just got an ibuprofen prescription for a root canal pain. Receptionists told me I have to wait up to 4 weeks to get any treatment done. It is currently 1:10am and i cannot sleep from the toothache, and all i got was ibuprofen.

Dr. Amir did a root canal on me today and a crown. The root canal was done and I didn’t even know it. Only pain were two shots that were nothing. His assistant Sarah was extremely helpful and one of my favorite assistants. I hate pain and dental work so coming from me, the experience couldn’t have been better! WORST dentist/orthodontist ever!!!!!!! I can’t say this enough. First of all they have so much turnover in staff, orthodontist, dentist, and management, that you get a different person each time. Once the new Dr comes in they change your treatment plan and they’re never in agreement. Second, they lie to you when you are setting up your contract. They say whatever you want to hear in order to get you. I was sold on a complete plan, phase 1 and 2. Once phase 1 was completed they said I owed $2500 for phase 2. I argued and proved that it was a complete plan and still management refused to honor my contract. (I will continue to fight this). Another thing, they sell you on procedures you don’t need. If you do choose to go here please get a second opinion. I wish I would have done this before my husband got an unnecessary procedure. Overall I can’t wait to be done and over with this place. If I could give them zero stars I would.

I came to have my wisdom teeth removed. The doctor was very kind and friendly. He did a really good job explaining n making me feel secure. The nurses n staff assisting in the procedure were also very kind to me. I appreciate it very much. I came here last year in December and was disappointed on how I was dealt regarding my insurance. For starters, I have the best dental insurance from the company I worked for so I was expected to pay a low copayment. After my exam I was told most of the procedures I needed were not covered by my insurance and my bill came out to $1200. They referred me to a credit company with terrible reviews so by that point I just left and never came back. I went to another dentist for a second opinion about my insurance (not going to list which dentist to ensure I’m not working for anybody) and was given the same price but with having my insurance applied, I am paying less than half of what dental group was charging. The dentist I go to now broke it down to what my insurance pays and what I would pay so why was I charged $1200 for my procedure, stating “your insurance doesn’t cover this”? Sounds like they were just looking to get as much money out of me without having to go through my insurance. I’m very disappointed with dental group on how I was told my insurance doesn’t cover me. My insurance literally states that I’m covered for almost all procedure with a low copayment. I do not recommend this place once so ever. Please get a second opinion if you have already been here.

My husband and I have been going to this location for several years. We started going here due to my husband having a dental emergency on a Saturday. Our regular dentist didn't respond to my husband's phone call about his dental problem. This office made room for my husband quickly and the problem was attended to and medications prescribed. By the late afternoon, my husband was no longer in any pain. We never did get a call back from our former dentist, so we just kept going to this office. Over the years there have been several dentists who have rotated through this office. I have seen some reviews about this office complaining about long wait times. We have also experienced long wait times in the past, but it appears that they are working to reduce that. Currently, Dr. Tom has been there consistently, and our wait times have been much shorter. (We try to cut them some slack because we know what it’s like to have a dental emergency, which slows the office down.) My husband recently had another dental emergency, and Dr. Tom did a great job throughout with a superb outcome. My husband is blind, and Dr. Tom is very considerate about telling my husband each thing he is going to do before he does it to him, which helps to reduce his anxiety considerably. We hope that Dr. Tom will be at this office for a long time to come. Additionally, we have very much appreciated Pam—the dental hygienist—who is kind, personable, gentle, thorough, and efficient. Pam is very good about explaining her observations and recommendations so that we can maintain our dental health. Our teeth always feel so much cleaner after she works on them. We have also appreciated the rest of the support staff who have been both professional and friendly. Special mention goes to David and Sara who always do such a great job and inspire such confidence. They are very attentive, very thorough, and tell us what they are doing before and during their intervention. We hope they never leave.

I had a really bad experience with some of the staff members. They're very rude, very unprofessional, slow, stubborn and much more. Waiting time is over an hour every time I was there. People in charge of getting medical insurance approval took more than 3 months to apply and kept me waiting with an infected tooth. Put me on Antibiotics like 3 times. Never returned my calls. Didn't wanna talk to me when I went in person to question. Asked for their manager and was told 3 times that he or she was not available. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

While I don't hate this office I do feel that they care mostly about selling you something. I know that I need work but I simply cannot afford it at the time. They seem to be completely astonished by the fact that I wouldn't want to do the work, then asked several more times when if I was sure. Yup I'm still sure that I can't afford it, after 15 minutes have passed. They are not awful but their bed side manor needs work.

Very friendly, customer-oriented dental office that is open on Saturdays. My husband found this practice one weekend as I was experiencing excruciating pain. There were a couple of issues including nerve/tissue damage caused by an abscess. Dr. Tom treated the abscess including root canals. He is a very skillful doctor and conducted the procedures very thoroughly. He is a very skillful doctor and has a very calm and reassuring manner. He did not rush through the procedures. He managed the root canals very successfully. I have double roots which was an added challenge for the doctor and myself. He pays attention to the minutest details right up to fitting the crowns. He is very patient and answers all the questions posed by me. Dr. Tom was very capably assisted by Leo, the Dental Assistant. Leo did a great job assisting Dr. Tom in a very professional manner. He was also very helpful and caring in ensuring I was comfortable throughout the procedure. We are very happy with the services we have received and I am happy to recommend as an excellent, caring and customer-friendly office. Thanks a lot.

I'm very nervous when I go to the dentist but I've been here now twice and I feel comfortable now going here. First time I came was to have a tooth removed and after it was removed I was surprised he was done because it didn't hurt. Unfortunately because of previous dental experiences at other dentistries I put off going and had to have the tooth removed. The second time I came in to have my teeth cleaned and have a filling done. I had no problem with it it was fast it was done very caringly because they knew I was nervous. There was no pain and it was an easy experience.

They were very nice. I came 1 hour late for my appointment and were willing to still take me. While I was was waiting after my xrays I was given a free toothbrush and floss. The doctor and staff explained what is happening every step of the way. Once and awhile they would check how I was doing and ask if I needed a break. I did not want my daughter to have x rays done and wanted only a visual exam and a cleaning. The doctor was insisting on x rays and was upset that I did not want to. The person who cleans the teeth was a total B and didn’t even do her job correctly once she was done with the cleaning she took her paperwork and said bye. I went to the front desk and asked about the fluoride that’s suppose to be put on after the cleaning & was told she was suppose to. When we asked her she said she wanted to check out insurance first. How rude. Why wouldn’t she tell me she was checking on it and have us wait but instead she was rude about the whole thing. The girls at the front desk are friendly that’s about as nice as they are here.

The staff are wonderful but the dentists are money hungry beeps in particular Dr T & Yu or ? (Only).. So I went to see IF they would help me with issue of the front teeth that chipped on my bridge which is scratching my lip so ALL I needed was for bridge to get a lil patch of acrylic (this has been done before) but Dr T kept pushing for me to have work done when I DONT have the funds Now so I CAN'T. It seems to me that he has an issue with listening, HE doesn't get it & I am not going back nor am i taking my kids there again. I am the one paying period, at least that's my statements show .

This place is open on Saturday which is really convenient because of my schedule. Walking in you are greeted by the front office receptionist her name is Alexa, really sweet and very professional. They were seeing by ortho first. Ana the ortho manager works with if you have bad credit. Pam the hygienist is very detailed when cleaning your teeth. Sarah the assistant was very helpful as well. Overall I had a good experience, first visit will be coming back in 6 month for their second appointment.

I would like to write and let you know that you have an amazing office staff particular Delia your receptionist . On a hot day I was at Lowes waiting for a ride and noticed your office and decided to come in and Delua greated me and let me know I can be seen now she handed me the paper work and then I realized I did reading glasses and proceeded tomorrow hand the forms back to Delia because I could not see and she asked me to wait. To my surprise she helped me enter everything into the computer in the middle of everything she was doing. I was so touch because she treated me like a human being and not by how I looked. Moving forward I have a awesome smile and that one day Delia encouraged to stay and she helped hanged my life now for the better I can go on with life and smile and people don't judge me any more. My experience at the Dental Group of Covina was very fulfilling and exceptional, I had the opportunity to become friends with many of the staff that were taking care of me at the time. One person in particular would be Claudia, she explained my plan clearly and carefully- I felt very comfortable and not anxious at all before getting braces. The wait time is always under 5 minutes and the staff are very respectful towards you, my past orthodontist was horrid which leaves me wondering why I didn't choose to come here sooner!

If I could give you a zero star I would your service is horrible had an appointment at 5 at 6:30 I was told dentist was too busy he cannot see me to come back tomorrowI come back the next day spend another hour and 45 minutes I still couldn't get service I canceled my kids appointments for the following week and now calling my insurance company to change my provider. It seems like they have a bunch of dentist chairs but only two dentist they will sit you in the back and let you wait there forever worst customer service ever

I had some teeth treatment about two years ago in this clinic. I paid everything off. However ny brother went to not long ago and he was told that I owned money. My brother told me about but I did not listen to him seens I knew I had paid for all they did and besides I never received a letter or phone call in regard to any debt with them. So have gotter a notification on my credit rapport that I have been sent to collections by this dental clinic. So In call them to make that clear they told me it's has been a mistake that they will contact the collections company to remove that from my credit report....they have ruined my credit for not reason. I am still waiting for them to correct that ERROR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL GROUP OF COVINA. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ON WHAT THEY DO.

I wish I could give this place no stars. My son was seen for dental work and they had to use every xray tech to take proper pictures. We were there for 4 hrs. Then their "office manager" named Claudia said their office refused to submit proper coding for my son's referral to be approved. This is the nastiest ghetto office you will step foot in. I took my autistic 8 year old here to get her underbite checked, first of all they got the ortho scheduling wrong and we had to reschedule. 2nd visit, we realized how unprepared they were for special needs children. After the consult, we were told she needed headgear therapy and a palate extender. We were told her underbite was severe and that medi-cal might cover the cost and that they would take molds and submit and get back to us. Almost 3 months went by and nothing. It took two weeks for me to get in touch with the elusive Anna. Noone gave her any messages or gave me any other resources to call. Time was of the essence since treatment needs to begin for underbite optimally at 8 yrs old and my daughter had just turned 8 in January and the appt was in Feb and here it is May. I was told by staff to call medi-cal myself. So I did, and was told to call dentical. Once I did, they told me NOTHING WAS EVER SUBMITTED.! After that I finally got in touch with Anna and she proceeded to tell me that nothing was submitted because she didnt have her adult teeth and there was nothing they can do. This is completely contradicts what we were told by the orthodontist. And if they were not planning on submitting why did they take molds? To scam medi-cal? And if it couldn't be submitted to dentical why were we not given other payment options to fix her underbite? This place completely dropped that ball, the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. What was worse is how rude Anna was in trying to make it seem as if I got all my facts wrong. So is Anna lying or the othro? We took my daughter across the street to Western Dental who has better tech and better customer service...guess what? My daughter is getting the headgear and palate extender she needs right away so she can avoid having teeth pulled and her jaw broken later...this place needs to check their staff and get their facts straight and follow through and follow up, why should I have to chase you down or do your job. You've lost my business and my ex husbands business too as we were regular clients. Bottom line...go across the street to Western Dental.

My son was seen about 6 weeks ago and need a crown for one of his tooth. I wanted to schedule an appointment for his crown, but i was told he need prior authorization before he can schedule the appointment even though I told them that he has ppo. I was kind of confused and thinking to myself why would we need prior authorization, but ok thinking that they should know what they are doing and just left . We’ve waited more then 4 weeks call back and was told that the authorization was still pending and they will call the insurance company to call back later. I call the insurance the same day and the insurance contacted the office. The insurance told me that the office informed her that my son don’t need an authorization that why they didn’t submit one. I was very upset at the misleading information and the lies that was given to me . I hope that we never have to go through this again . I know that everyone in the office is nice but not everyone is knowledgeable.

Had to get all my teeth pulled and bone graft done, dentures were not made right and now dealing with insurance to have another set made, tops are too bulky they didn't even make the groove for the skin under top lip and it cut me, bottom are always cutting me and cant eat with them they even sent them to lab and the bottoms are worse. Had a dentist told me to just use oral gel. When the lady did the impressions she just slopped the stuff on like she was in a hurry. Never asked me if I wanted natural color or the shape they made that decision on their own. Would not recommend this place. New staff not friendly. Only one that is great here is the oral surgeon dr. Dorsey is he great and cares about his patients.

The service here is terrible, they made me wait an extremely long time in the lobby after signing in. Finally just walked up to the desk and started asking questions. The secretaries are very vague and misleading when it comes to pricing and itemized billing. There were " mysterious" out-of-pocket charges every time I went in for something that my insurance should have covered. Very unprofessional..!

Unfortunately I came in today to bring my kids for a regular check up and we had an appointment was at 2:00pm and we waited for 3 hours. When I asked why there was such a wait they told me that there was only one doctor available. The point is why would they accept appointments if they don't have enough doctors to attend all the patients.

The dentists there are extremely rude to their patients. The waiting for a 3 o'clock appointment was 2 hours long. Doctor Yu the Chinese lady was very unprofessional. Well, 5 of us will be leaving this place as today is our last visit to this horrible place.

Everyone was very nice. Easy to make an appointment with them and was able to get in to see the doctor right away. Due to the schedule, and me being a new patient, they were able to take x-rays, figure out that I had cavities that needed to be filled, and filled them all within the same visit. Highly recommend them. Great quality work and was the best experience I every had at a dentist office.

The only word that comes to mind is Ghetto. Every face that came out of the back looked incredibly angry, frustrated, generally unhappy. This would have been my first visit had the intake not taken an hour. However the long wait gave me enough time to realize this wasn’t the place for me. I left before I could experience the service. I’d rather pay out of pocket and get quality service than be herded threw the masses (yes this place is huge) and treated like cattle. There was 5-7 office staff one young lady with a facial tatto. Don’t get me wrong I have tattoos and I’m pretty liberal in my outlook but having the face of your business tatted up gangster style speaks volumes about your despair to keep employees.i will never get back the hour of time they wasted but I won’t have to live through the awful experience of their dental work either, I guess it’s a wash.

I've had a slew of negative experiences. I was unable to update contact info for over a year and my son missed several ortho appts because of it. They told me they had to leave the person who brought my kids in initially, which was my mother, and said they didn't have an option to change it? They also kept changing Ortho Drs and every month their was a different one and I feel as though my son's not on track with his original treatment plan. I've also been misinformed several times in regards to my care, such as waiting over a month for an authorization through denti-cal, it being approved, then the receptionist telling me the day I show up for my root canal appt that the specialist didn't take my ins (straight denti-cal), and that the authorization was for the general Dr, not the specialist, which it was supposed to be for to begin with. It took me 3 months to finally get my root canal, and luckily they squeezed me in as an emergency because the pain was so bad and my infection was so bad the antibiotics didn't work. I feel as though my comfort and best interest has never been a priority and the only way I got any assistance was persistence and calling the ombudsman.

They always put paying customers first then people on medical, or private insurance. They discriminate people who don’t pay out of pocket, and keep you waiting for long time. The dentist are always in a bad mood they roll there eyes. The last time I was here, there X-ray machine was down, the dentist still checked my mouth, and just assumed I needed lots of work down, with no X-rays. The worst part was how rude he was about my smile. I don’t need for someone to tell me I have shity teeth, I know that. It’s a reason why people try to get things fix not talk down too. They tell you, you need other work done, when you went in for another reason. This place is awful, save yourself time and go to another dentist

It was a real headache finally getting all the authorizations and paperwork together for my extraction. The office staff at this location is NOT helpful and rude. They act like you are a bother to them. When I called to make my appointment, the office manager refused to make it and hung up the phone on me. When I called back, no one answered the phone. Only because I wanted to see this doctor specifically (Dr. Dorsey) did I put up with the office staff. The doctor was very different, kind and professional. Extracted my wisdom tooth quickly and without a lot of trauma to my mouth or face. Excellent surgeon, highly recommend! Would give him alone 5 stars. The nurses did push me out the back door before I was completely awake and didn’t let me fully wake up. Thought that wasn’t the best way to treat someone after surgery. Better see this doctor at one of the other offices he works from, if you don’t want to deal with the bad front office staff here.

Pro Vs Con: Pro: They have batman on roller skates in the parking lot to get business CON: Not only do they make you wait over a month to check on SIMPLE questions like "Will my insurance cover this" But they push the "Get it don't now, pay out of pocket, etc" When things are so simple to look up. Just walked out, had a new patient exam, they took me in, took xrays and left me sitting in the chair for 2.5 hours! Never got my cleaning, nobody explained why I had to wait so long. Chair had some weird yellow drip dried on it. Worst dentist ever, avoid at all costs.

It's a terrible place, when you go for the first time they take care of you very well, but you're just patient and they behave very despotically, especially the manager, and be careful because they say they cover your teeth and don't do anything just to charge the Insurance. I don't recommend it, but not at all!!!!!! Horrible experience, they treat you really nice the first time you visit them, then after a few visits they no longer treat you like a customer, and they treat you very rude!! All they do is rob their cutomers and lie, they charged my insurance for a couple of jobs that they never did to me....be sure to avoid this place!!!!!

My first visit here after so many years! It wasn't a painful process as I anticipated. Started off with x-rays, the xray tech was so professional, courteous and her smile was contagious. Next, the Dr. Came in and explained all the damage from lack of visits and answered all my concerns. Hygienist arrived shortly and also gave her recommendations and how the process would be completed from start to finish. Lastly, billing, treatment plan was discussed. Usually I arrive anxious and leave worse than I felt coming in but the environment and staff here at Dental Group of Covina, made me feel calm. I recommend DGOC if you are looking for a new dentist or are new to the area. My own personal opinion, the staff was very professional, educated in their field and knew what they were talking about and they made sure I understood what they meant. Did I mention friendly :)

I had a wonderful experience today. I was ten minutes early and I only had to wait about 15 minutes before I was seen. The people in the front were nice, the X-ray tech was nice, and the doctor was nice. The prices for my treatment was fair and it seemed as if they were being honest. Finally! I've had bad experiences in the past with the dentist trying to rip me off. Dr. Bryant is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I highly recommend asking for her.

Do NOt go to this place. Yes they are very clear short and to the point. I have medical. I went there because i was missing my tooth and they basically were trying to charge me $300 to fix it and they said i had a root canal all lies! I went to another place in Baldwin park they were more genuine and my insurance did cover the work even though they said it didn't. They didnt care. People becareful. ..this place is expensive and they try to charge you for unnecessary things they even give you all this information to make it seem like they know what they are talking about to get you to do extra work on yourself. Get a second opinion.

I wanted to give no stars! I showed up at 245 for my 300 appt I scheduled a month ago. Im just sitting down at 415. A nurse Sherry is giving me attitude like I've had her waiting on me. Desk staff is so busy behind the counter they could care less. Not a good visit at all.

I have always been hesitant of using a big chain like this because of inflated prices and the assumption that unnecessary procedures are encouraged. Wow was I wrong. I had such an amazing experience, the staff made me feel comfortable when my incident was totally embarrassing. Also the doctor recommended we not do anything harsh and rather allow my tooth to heal on its own! They will continue to monitor of course,and I will definetly be back.

This is really the best office I've gone to. The staff is really caring, from the ladies at the front desk, to the doctors. I have been in terrible pain with one of my teeth and the insurance was taking forever to approve my extraction. The office expedited everything and the doctor pulled my tooth today. She was very sweet. She made sure the whole time I was ok and made sure I wasn't in pain. I highly recommend this office.

Rude staff. The assistants have hickies on their necks and not to mention they have been discussing their personal business in front of patients. My appointment was at 9:30am and I have been here since 9:10am, they still have not called me in. If there was a way to give this place a negative 3 star rating then I would most definitely give it to them. If you value anything about yourself and your time then this is not the place for you.

I went once and with an appointment and they told me to leave and come back in an hour because everyone that could do my work was on lunch.... on top of that maxe me feel obligated to get this laser service that i have never even heard of... that i would have to pay $450 out of pocket really?? Then why make an appointment? I made an appointment a second time to give the benefit of the doubt went in 10 minutes before my appointment waited an entire hour and they never once called me!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would!!!! I've never had such horrible experience with a dentist and I never leave reviews but this was ridiculous
