Terrible service. I’ve had something important rescheduled not on my behalf multiple times! I showed up to my appointment before the scheduled time, and was still not able to be seen because my provider left for the day. They gave me a 4pm appointment and then had the nerve to say after the fact that that’s too late for the service I needed done. I had already been waiting there for almost 2 hours before they let me know this. Remind you this is the time they scheduled me for! If they knew I wouldn’t be able to seen they should’ve just rescheduled it like they’ve done 3 times already! I’ve never gotten the run around so much in my life! I’ve also never attended an appointment on time for the place to say, that’s too late, even though they scheduled it. All they cared about was getting out on time, not actually doing the services that are scheduled.

I was very nervous... turned out for no reason. Everyone was very polite. I enjoyed conversation with Crystal (Crystalina)... she was a real sweetheart, like family. I had 2 strong teeth removed, and the oral surgeon numbed my mouth very well. The pain I had before my wisdom tooth was removed is gone. Thank you Dr. Esmeraldo and staff. I knew from other reviews that I may have a bit of a wait, so I played a game on my phone and the wait wasn't bad at all.

The wait was terrible for the first time in all the times I've ever came here. I waited from 11am to 245pm for a death cleaning and a filling. I have been waiting over 5 months for a crown. My insurance initially denied it because Choice did not send the x-rays to substantiate the request--this was in October 2024. I have called WEEKLY to get them to resend it with no luck. I have tried on several occasions to escalate this issue to supervisors and even the mysterious billing department to no avail. When asked for a number to further escalate my concerns, I was given a number to leave a message but no response as of yet. These folks are incredibly frustrating and have structured their business such that there is no opportunity to talk to anyone that can resolve issues. If you have an opportunity to go elsewhere, I would definitely recommend it.

They are not professional they just want to milk your insurance for unneeded procedures, quote you astronomical prices for things you do not need and then when you get a service they take your money do not provide you with your change nor a receipt of purchase and they also steal their office manager to be exact the health department should come and check them out as a matter of fact I'm going to have them checked out please don't waste your time going to that establishment. Currently went to have a consultation and extraction. However, when i arrived they had let me know it would be a wait until i was admitted. I asked if this is the case, can i go eat? As i had an appetite but assured me it would not be that long of a wait. After an hour i asked again if this would take some time and they stated i was the next up. I waited another 30 minutes and when i went up again. They had told me they were looking for a room for me. 30 minutes later i ask them again and they stated it was taking a while to find a room and to just wait. After 2 hours and 20 minutes i was debating leaving when they called my name. They told me the dentist will be there to see you but instead i spoke with the assistant. However, when describing what was being done they not only mistook the tooth but also the location. I was both worried and scared and told her if she was sure about this. She had to verify with the dentist multiple times before stating yes. I just choose to reschedule as i felt the assistant did not have the slightest idea on what was being done. I told her i needed to reschedule with the dentist and walked out as i did not feel safe, nor at ease, felt rushed, and felt bullied to agree with the recommended procedure.

My mother was told she would have deep cleaning done and would also fix a cavity. They lied. They cleaned her teeth and did another procedure (did not mention anything having to due with fixing a cavity). When they charged her $270 my mother asked why (since her insurance would have covered most of the costs pertaining to the cleaning and cavity work). They said it was a due to the deep cleaning and another procedure that was not fixing a cavity. My mother asked about the cavity and they said "oh no, it was another procedure". My mother is an honest person and paid but honestly she should have not since they lied about the work she got done. Don't come here or make sure they are charging you for what you agreed to be charged for.

Horrible experience! I was scheduled at 11:00 am to get my wires taken off from my braces so that I could get a clean. I didn't get called until noon to take X-rays that I ALREADY took 3 months ago, but they lost them in their system! Around 1:30 pm they asked me to go to the other room and stated that I would have to be rescheduled because EVERYBODY went on lunch. & I'm guessing the doctor forgot they had taken my wires off! I had no choice but to wait until they came back from lunch. I honestly can tell that this place doesn't care about their patients at all.

If I could give it more stars I would !! First time here and I would like to make note that the appointment was for my husband . I called one day and had the appointment the next day so that was a plus but at the same time a bit weary . So we arrive and competed the forms my husband by the way very nervous and anxious anytime he has a dental visit so I was hoping the dentist here was patient enough with patients like him. I must say the wait was a bit longer than expected but their wee kinda busy but it’s normal to wait alil when it’s your first visit so I won’t go into detail every step but let me just say that my husbands anxiety stayed afloat until the extraction and even during but once it was over he said very pleased . I really didn’t feel much the dentist Dr. kenny has a very light hand and I must say his personality kinda reminds me of Dr Korassic from greys anatomy like he knows what he is doing and he definitely proved to be the best and annnnndddd he was very patient with my super nervous anxious husband, he took the time to administer additional medication needed to proceed with the extraction so that my husband didn’t feel the process . Oh and I would like to add that during our wait I inquired about a check up for me and the staff there was able to accommodated me and checked me up while my husband was getting his work done now we both have future appointments there and we are happy we found a dentist that’s suits us both since I have braces.We definitely recommend choice dental. Oh I don’t want to leave out Olga she handles the big bucks there and let me tell you she is super sweet very efficient and understanding she was able to get our services combined to one bill so we don’t have two separate bills amazing . Thanks again

This is a very poor service that I got. I called to get an appointment. The secretary at the front desk was trying to find for my insurance details well in fact I gave her the details of my insurance. Ive waited for an hour, and finally she was able to search for it. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. 1 star is generous. My experience was horrible and I would not recommend anyone book services here. I arrived at 11:15 for my 11:30 appointment and did my new patient forms prior to be well prepared. I did not get taken back until 12:30. I had work and asked how much longer it would be since I was seeing ortho for a consultation and getting a dental cleaning. I was met with rude, aggressive and harsh answers from the staff. They said that there was lunch so I could not complete my ortho consultation until after, I asked if in the meantime I could get my cleaning and they said there were 4 people ahead of me and if I had a problem I could reschedule. I already have dental anxiety and this place only makes it worse. They aren’t welcoming, rude, and the facility is not very clean. I left the office in tears and could not even finish any services I booked. It’s a waste of time to go here and by seeing other reviews now ( I wish I would’ve looked before) im not sure how this place is still in business 0/10 stars.

If I could give it a zero, it would get a zero. I made an appointment forMy Husband three times in one day and they kept calling back saying there was a scheduling problem. I finally made an appointment got a confirmation and when I got there They said it was at a different time so I showed them the confirmation at what time it was supposed to be and they Told me ( be patient ) it was so rude. Then they were telling my husband he couldn’t have me talk to the nurse over the phone because I wouldn’t understand anything they’re saying. Worst experience and will never go back. Definitely do not recommend.

My daughter and I had a bad experience here. They canceled my appointment and didn’t tell me until I arrived ( I had to call off from both of my jobs to make that appointment, and it happen again afterwards smh). I couldn’t go to the back with her, when the orthopedic was finish with my daughter , she had nail marks on her face, I asked what happened and told me they do not know. Her eyes were swollen for several days. (Possible a allergic reaction) I wouldn’t recommended this place for kids

Extremely poor service, and it's a waste of time even reaching out to the email they provide you to communicate complaints. This office does not care about their patients in the slightest. They are liars and do not have the best interest of the patients. It's impossible to get a straight answer, and it's impossible to have issues rectified with them unless you call over and over again. It's ridiculous. If you have not signed up with this office yet, save yourself the headache and go ELSEWHERE, even in their reply down below they claim that if I reach out to the email they will pass my information along to corporate so I can receive help. This is a lie, as I have emailed them multiple times and have received absolutely no response. (If I could give 0 stars I would!) I had one visit here. They sent my referrals to the wrong place. What was supposed to be a five-week wait turned into 2.5 months. I wound up having to call them to get updated. What an across-the-board fiasco. From the dental office, to customer "care", to grievance, to trying to contact the ACCESS DENTAL offices, this was the worst dental experience in my life. In over six months all that got accomplished were the initial x-rays and half a deep cleaning some five+ months later. Unless you're a big fan of incompetence and being lied to, AVOID AT ALL COST!!

I can in for the first time in late 2022 for X-rays and a cleaning. They wouldn’t clean my teeth because I was told I needed a deep cleaning and needed to submit it to my insurance for approval. Months went by and I never got the approval. When I finally followed up in summer 2023 they said I needed to come back in for them to resubmit it for approval. When I got there they had to do all the X-rays again. This time the approval came in about 8 weeks. When I finally came in for my deep cleaning appointment they would only do one side of my mouth since they insisted I had to be numbed. It was a quick 10 minute cleaning and ridiculous that they numbed half my mouth for that. When I came back for the other side this doctor actually deep cleaned that side. I requested not to be numbed so much. It was fine and honestly I didn’t need the numbing at all and it all should have been done in 1 applications. I think it’s insurance fraud for extra charges. I won’t be back. Took 10 months and 4 visits to get my teeth cleaned

Appointment means, an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place. So what’s the point of an appointment if you can’t meet someone at a particular TIME?!? Why are people waiting 1 hour+ to meet a Dentist. If you appreciate your time and value it as much as I do then I’d stay away from this place. Admin staff was awesome though. They just need to work on scheduling because it’s horrendous.

My son had an appointment today after an hour after an hour they say they can't take care of him because the insurance company didn't answer them. I have been waiting for this appointment for a month and when the appointment arrives they don't take care of him very badly.

Make an appointment and they cancel, they say they call the day of, sometimes and other times there is no answer as to why they don’t have you in the system. 5of 6 times they have failed to keep my appointment time. Then instead of completing the work you come in for they say they don’t have enough time and can only do part of the work. Look at your insurance plans, most times they will over charge you. If your not on top of how much your responsible to pay for.

I have mixed feelings. I have been satisfied with the outcome of all of my appointments, but less satisfied with the overall experience. Most recently I had an 8am appointment but wasn’t called back for care until almost 8:30. The technician took x-rays and I waited until after 9 to be seen by the dentist, who recommended a standard cleaning. I paid for the service a few minutes later and then waited another half hour for a hygienist to perform the cleaning. I didn’t leave the office until just after 10am. It seemed unreasonable for my standard x-ray and cleaning appointment to last over two hours.

As a new patient coming in for x-rays and exam my appointment was at 9am I did not get called to the back until 10:40am. After I was placed in a room I was told there are 4 patients ahead of you, there is only one dentist and no treatment coordinator and they don’t when or if she’s coming in. I sat and waited a while longer by this time I had been there for 2 1/2 hours and still had not seen a dentist. I was not pleased with the level of service being provided especially as a new patient, I got up and left because if this is how patients are treated I don’t want to be a patient in this office.

0 star!! I went to Choice Dental Hawthorne on March 24th, 2023. They recommended gum treatment and I decided to do it. I paid $200 that day and made a contract to pay $75 monthly until I pay $2000. April 24th is my first appointment after I contract gum treatment. I went there and they told me my perio protector was not here yet. I just went there for nothing and went home. They told me they call me when my protector is here but they never call me. I called them a few times they always said, I'll check it out and call you back but never call me back. May 23rd is my second appointment. That day they were so busy and I waited for about 2 hours and finally they told me they couldn't do it because one of my protectors is broken. I should take a tooth impression again. I have wasted my time again. July 1st is my third appointment. I went there and they told me my perio protector is not here yet. They said again. They told me they call July 3rd but they didn't. They never call me! I was wasting my time and gas. I want to try to cancel my gum treatment but they told me I can't cancel it because it's already processed. But they processed nothing!! I really really cancel my gum treatment and my money back! Also, the receptionists are rude and not kind at all. Please accept my cancellation for gum treatment and my money back. I want to go to another dentist and do my gum treatment. I really don't recommend this place.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I went for my 4th appointment in one month because they continue to send me home without helping me, they ignore my concerns and try to do procedures on me I don't need nor requested instead of doing the one procedure I have been trying to obtain for over a month now, this is ridiculous!!! Be more prepared for your patients. No reason why a one hour wait is acceptable for someone that arrived on time. I received five text and two email reminders about the appointment yet the office waited till the day-of to call insurance company and verify coverage. Staff is very friendly just unorganized.

My mother had been coming to this place since October for dentures and they can't seem to get them right. they have had to redo them 3 times because the lab can't get them right. Every time we come there are new people working here and the wait tomes are ridiculous. This place is garbage. they are Short staffed in the fron office that they have to get someone from another office to come and help out because everyone quits. The only good one at thie Dental office is Mrs Lala she is a delight and always so cheerfully. I would never recommend choice dental to Any one. if you want your dental work done right go some were else. My mom has paied out of pocket a lot of money and not to mention what her insurance company has paied and the service is trash. Pleaae don't waste your time coming here cause if you do you are wasting your time.

My little brother came to this dentist due to our insurance changing. My brother got xrays and they told him he had 10 cavities and also needes braces. (Keep in mind this was a week after we came from our original dentist who has no mention of that many cavities.) He also had JUST finished his 3 year long braces treatment the month before. Then they told us our insurance wouldnt cover all his cavities and we would need to pay $4500. Stay away from here, i believe they are scammers preying on those they think dont know better. We also mentioned this to his orthondontist who said she found it strange they said he needed braces.

I arrived today at 8:45 am for my 9 am appointment. I checked in. After 30 minutes I went to the front desk, only to be told I signed in on the incorrect sign in sheet. And was told my appointment was not an extraction but a consultation. That was not explained when I made my appointment prior. I decided to wait in my car until I was called in. 10:22 am was the call in time. After sitting in the consultation for 10 minutes, I was given the assessment and told I needed to speak with the administrative staff. Each time I come to this office in Hawthorne, I have to wait over an hour to be seen. I notice multiple patients leaving or sitting in the same frustration I experienced. Not to mention, my teeth are not even after getting a cavity filled. I told the dentist and he did not level it out. Concerned! I

First at hand, I telephoned West Coast Dental on 4/12/23 as a referral from my dental carrier for an oral surgeon. I raised the question to Elissa, " does your office have an oral surgeon that can perform a biopsy and extract a tooth." Elissa stated yes. I explained to Elissa that my primary dentist issued a referral for me to UCLA school of dentistry. UCLA School of Dentistry notified me by an email to inform me, they do not accept my insurance safeguard. I asked Elissa if West Coast accepts safeguard insurance, she replied "yes." Elissa scheduled an appointment for 4/13/23 @ 11:00 am. Once, I arrived for the appointment at 11:10 am, I signed in and was asked to take a seat until my name is called. Once, my name was called I was given the initial paperwork to complete. To make a long story short my visit wasn't what I expected. I was informed by the doctor after he viewed the x-ray, "you have an infection on tooth #30. We have an oral surgeon that comes into this office a few times a month, but he does not perform biopsies. We will have to refer to an oral surgeon to perform biopsies. Elissa enters my room after the doctor left out of my examining room. She handed to a list of locations to contact. She x'd out UCLA on the list. At this point, it seemed to be miscommunication from our telephone conversation the prior day regarding the oral surgeon performing biopsy at her location. I left the office without receiving a prescription for the infection. I returned to the dental office about fifteen minutes later after eating lunch at Dickey's bar b que next door to the dental office. I asked one of the office clerk if she would ask the doctor if he planned to issue me a prescription. She returned and I informed me, the doctor is with a patient. You may take a seat. To say the least minus fifteen minutes for lunch, I would say I was in the office for a minimum of three hours. I would say the appointment was a waste of my time. It seemed that I was misinformed about the oral surgeon. The wait time was too long. Last, the electronic prescription had not been received at Kaiser. The pharmacist may have called West Coast Dental office because the check in clerk at Kaiser requested West Coast Dental telephone number from me. I provided the telephone number. Finally, I received my prescription. I was concerned as to the length of time I spent @ West Coast Dental. Also, there was an issue with West Coast attempting to send the prescription to Kaiser. I left the office to go outdoors to contact Kaiser to request what does West Coast Dental need to do to send the prescription to Kaiser. Staff should be knowledgeable and honest when interacting with members of the public by phone. No client should be punished by extended wait time because they ask questions for clarification. to request if the doctor

I was called at least 5 to 6 times to if I was still coming to my appointment, I confirmed over and over again that I was.I arrived on time for my appointment in pain from my mouth. I sat there for one hour and half before being acknowledged and the waiting room had at 10 people already at 10am.I have never experienced this before in my life so yes I had a very Bad first appointment and I'm out of 25.00 dollars for Uber.The lesson I have learned that if the waiting room is full at 10am its going to a long day.

First appointment was meant to be an exam w/ x-rays and a standard annual cleaning. I came 20 minutes early and finished the preliminary paperwork before the scheduled appointment time. I then proceeded to wait another hour and a half for the process to get started. X-rays were taken slowly, while the exam with the dentist was no more than 5 minutes. Afterwards, per his direction, he informed the practice and my insurance company that I needed a deep cleaning and a few other things (all not covered), which superseded the already scheduled annual cleaning. 45 minutes more of just …waiting in the dental chair until I was informed by the treatment coordinator of my situation. I did not receive a cleaning, and the bill for the intended dental work was thousands, after insurance, out of pocket. The workers are nice, but time management on their end was poor and they are effectively trying to swindle me when alternative practices charge much less for the same work and better care overall. I will not be going back to them in the future.

There front office is very lazy and does not know how to handle customer service. In the first week of January I came to have dental work done. I saw the dentist and he came with a plan of action. They were to get approval for the work that needed to be done. They scheduled me for work to be done but every time I came in nothing was done. I inquired about what going on they told “THAT IN THERE COMPUTER IT WAS SHOWING PENDING. THEY ME THAT HAD TO CONTACT DENTAL CAL TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. I ASK THEM WHY HAVENT CONTACTED THEM. THE FRONT DESK TOLD ME THAT THEY DONT CONTACT THEM IT IS UPTO THE PATIENT TO CONTACT THEM TO FIND OUT. I ASK THEM WHY DONT THEY CONTACT THEM TO FIND OUT WHAT GOING ON BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES THAT SUBMITTED THE REQUEST. THEY LIE TO ME WHEN TOLD IT TAKE 4 WEEKS FOR THEM TO RESPOND. I SAID IT WAS PAST 4 WEEKS. I WAS AGAIN I NEEDED TO FIND OUT MYSELF. I CALLED DENTAL CAL THEY INFORM ME THAT IT ONLY TAKES 3 to 5 BUSINESS DAYS TO RESPOND. I waited 1.5h past the appointment time to see a dentist. He saw me for a total of one minute, then left and I was directed to wait so the business could try to sell me unnecessary antibiotics with my tooth scaling. After 5 minutes with no one appearing, I got sick of waiting, and not wanting to deal with this unethical upselling tactic, walked out. Receptionist didn't even bat an eye at my premature departure...didn't seem remotely sympathetic about the long wait.

Ngl I was expecting it to be super bad after my emergency appointment. Imo it wasn’t great (the wait time but it was at the very end of the day and they still got me in) but I came back for mine and my child’s dental exams and I’m so glad I did. Everyone was super helpful and understanding. Great attitudes even though mine wasn’t up to par at all. I have great anxiety for dental work due to a passed experience but they were so chill. They were so nice to my kid and that’s what really sold me. I was surprised at how quick the doctor worked, it was incredible! Not to mention being heard. There just aren’t enough places like this anymore and I’m just extremely grateful, so much so, it changed my entire mood today. Thank you very much♥️

They call you to confirm a date and time and then the text confirmation says smth completely different OR you show up and they don’t have your appointment (happy 2 times for me, and a third when I called to confirm my appointment). Make sure you try to get the meds right after wisdom removals. I got them removed at 9 am and they didn’t send the medication until 4. The pain was so bad and I had to call the office continuously. Not to mention you’re on hold for hours and when you call back and say you’ve been on the phone for a long time, they don’t care and continue to put you on hold

I’m writing this for my mother who is a patient/customer at this facility. I expect management to reach out to us, and will be calling them to resolve this manner. My doctor is amazing, most staff had been great too. I had an appointment today at 1, which was confirmed by text on Thursday. I got another text today saying I have an appointment on Monday. I called to see why that is and was told I didn’t have an appointment today anymore. No reason why it was canceled either. Just that it was and was given a new appointment for next week. I called to make sure it was with the right doctor, but I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I called back and was told it was busy in the office and then they put me on hold again. While on hold I went all the way to the office and saw that the receptionist (the short one with dramatic fake lashes) was chilling on the computer not on the phone or with any customers in front of her just entering information slowly on the computer. All while I was still on the phone on hold 20 minutes and counting. I asked her why she put me on hold when 1. There was no one there 2. She wasn’t on the phone with anyone else. When I asked her why she has me on hold for 20 minutes when there’s no one else there she brushed me off and said she’s working on the computer. There’s typically a prioritization of duties working reception and keeping someone on hold for over 20 minutes when there’s no one in front of you is ridiculous. The receptionist is impolite, has no sense of care for her job, and no patience or empathy for me and gave no response to the fact that a customer’s appointment was canceled for no reason. I’ve had previous interactions before and shes always rude, always lacks customer service. Never greets people properly, clearly wasn’t taught please/thank yous. I’ve never said anything because i try to not be bothered, but I work 6 days a week and only have Saturdays off. It’s hard enough to get an appointment squeezed in with my doctor and now it’s set for another two weeks that I have to wait with pain and no explanation of why it was canceled in the first place OR if it’s with the right doctor. It’s been 2 weeks and we haven’t heard from management. My mom had the appointment with the Doctor and it was moved again. She spoke with the doctor and we still haven’t been contacted by management.

I took my son for his appointment and it was good. The staff and dentist are very nice. If you are new arrive before your appointment time so that you can fill out the new patients packet. The wait was a little long but that’s expected with the busy office and I did wait for sterile tools so my son‘s cleaning could be done. The cleaning was excellent and the customer service is excellent as well. I am glad that my coworker recommended this dental office to me now I’ll be back from my own appointment.

Need to get rid of the dentist. He didn't do nothing to my child. Soend 3 hours waiting and when dr came in he only looked at Roberts mouth and said im sending him to s specialist. Less then 1 min he was out and on to the next person. I felt discriminated is it cause we were Hispanic or the insurance we have medical. The office staff are good and xray tech very nice but when it came to the dentist horrible service.

Update June 2022: Another terrible experience. I scheduled a cleaning. They took my xrays in a chair in a hallway, visible to the lobby and all the other patients, no privacy, an then told me I should reschedule because they were overbooked. I went back a week later and they refused to do a standard cleaning because I had had the deep cleaning 15 months ago and my gums weren't ready. They wanted me to pay for a special cleaning method. They always try to get you to pay for extra services. Update 6AUG2021: The second 'deep cleaning' appointment went much more smoothly and was less painful than the first. I also did not have prolonged bleeding or soreness this time. If my first experience had gone as easily as the latest then I would have given 5 stars. First Appointment 23JUL2021: I found a dentist with high ratings/reviews via my healthcare provider's website and requested an appointment for a teeth cleaning with that dentist. When I arrived I was not informed that the dentist I requested was unavailable. Then, although I had no cavities, I was told I needed a "deep cleaning" (which I assumed they would say because it had been over 2 years since my last cleaning). The dentist continued to upsell me on the expensive anti-bacterial gum injection which was also needed even though the insurance would not cover it. Also I would only be able to have half my mouth cleaned in one sitting and it would be $170 for the deep cleaning and anti-bacterial injection PER HALF. The "cleaning" was one of the most painful experiences I've had in a dentist chair. I received somewhere between 6 and 8 shots into my gums just for the one side of my mouth. The special "Cavitron" ultrasonic tool was malfunctioning and while the nurse attempted to fix it the dentist proceeded to act busy by using the metal pick instead of the ultrasonic tool. Then once they got the machine working the "cleaning" was violent, the ultrasonic tool sends piercing vibrations through your jaw. I had excessive bleeding which continued for 2 hours after I left the office. After the anesthesia wore off I had major soreness for 2 days. Next week I have to go back to have the other half "cleaned" and pay another $170. The people in the office are nice.

I scheduled an appointment for my son for his front tooth being chipped and from the looks of it I just knew it was infected I explained to the receptionist over the phone that my son has straight medical and that I wanted my son to be sedated with any procedure that had to be done the receptionist said ok that’s fine , the day of my son appointment I literally waited 4 hours and the only reason I didn’t leave is because I put in a request at my job to have the day off , so any who 4 hours later we finally see the specialist , just for her to tell me , that my son need a root canal and that she couldn’t do it he needed to be seen by another specialist , this dentist office do not care about the time of your appointment , they will constantly tell you they are short staffed and try to reschedule your appointment. Customer service is horrible. I would rate this dentist office a zero if I could.

The office workers in the front at the desk were very into their personal conversations and unaware of customer appointment times. For instance today my appointment time was at 10:00 I arrived 9:45 then the reception gave me papers to fill out 35 minutes afterwards mind you there were only three customers in the lobby and I was one of them. Then the lobby started to fill up I watched 7 customers that came after me called in to see the dentist. So I wondered why I was still waiting to see the dentist I looked at my watch it was 11:00 so I politely ask why is it taking so long I have a appointment at 10:00 and it's 11:10 and why did it take 30 to 35 minutes to hand out paperwork. One of the female workers with an attitude told me I have problems with my insurance, which I have never had before and I ask what was the problem and why couldn't you tell me earlier she proceeded to tell me with an attitude quote (I just told you and it's going to take 15 to 20 minutes more) and I said okay after 15 to 20 minutes if I'm not called will you reschedule me and the young lady reply was silence. So, after 3minutes my name was called. As long as I've been a customer in the Hawthorne office I never experienced this before so I was totally disappointed in the front office. Needless to say the dentist and technicians are amazing!

We had to wait two hours to see a dentist for about 30 seconds only to be told we had to book to see the Pediatric dentist. Who is only in the clinic twice a month? Why when we booked and you were given his date of birth, was it not flagged we needed to see a pediatric dentist. I was under the impression we were seeing a Pediatric dentist. Then called asking for a referral to a different Pediatric dentist because we couldn’t wait 3 weeks (we are moving house on the 24th of this month) and we were refused the referral because you “could do it in house”. Absolute worst dental office ever. Reception staff including office manager Meleena are very rude unless you are speaking Spanish. I had a permanent bridge placed that fell out three times. Twice I returned to have it replaced, the third time I went to another dentist who in a written statement confirmed that the dentist did not prepare my mouth for the bridge properly. I am now going through the process of having another bridge done at my own expense. When I requested a refund from Choice dental for the inferior dental work, it was refused , the only remedy I was offered is to allow the incompetent dentist a third opportunity to get it right. I think two failed attempts at doing the job correctly is enough. I have filed a grievance with my dental insurance company. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible, filthy place.

I just had a very very bad experience with my daughter at the city of Hawthorne site my daughter 17 has appointment today at 9 I was calling earlier around 8 am to find out what time they open well no one answer just record machine come up when I got there it was exactly at 9 time of the appointment the girl gave me application I fill out gave it to hear she never mention to me that there was a punishment for been new client a punish if 30 minute wait but just because I speak up they gave an hour wait never have this kind of treatment anywhere first time three girls who work at front office jumped up to me that’s es the company policy then manager step up yelling at me saying I can’t read the paper where everyone sign in put time come in. They said is private confidential which is not good true because is out on the desk for anyone to see time got there I got mad when I see the girl laughing having conversations instead if typing my Information in the system since that’s was the reason they left me behind another lady even fell asleep seating waiting and watching all this people going in front of you

Came in for a dislodged bridge on a Saturday same day appointment. Staff was super professional. Doctor and assistant went beyond and above to put that old bridge back in my mouth even after I declined needed but expensive dental work. I went to the dentist to have a crown put on and a cleaning.after the cleaning I was told that they did not have the crown.why did they not change my appointment till they had the crown? Then I was told that I need to have two teeth pulled . If the pain comes back and I do need to have my teeth or tooth pulled I will go to a different dentist. Younger front receptionist could stand to work on customer service skills. She was not helpful and more interested in leaving exactly at 6 than providing proper assistance during business hours. I arrived for 5 pm appointment, and she gave me paperwork to complete and took my insurance and id. She told me I’d have to reschedule for another day because it was already too close to 6 to do anything for me. She said she would do my paperwork and upload my ids the next time I came in. I had to ask her to do those things now. It was until the 3rd time I gave her my id that she uploaded it. She should not be the face of the office without proper training. Blaming a call center that I know nothing about is not a proper response. Taking accountability is always the way to go. There were no apologies for the misunderstanding nor any consideration for me as a new patient with a chipped tooth. I was given incorrect information from her perspective by the customer service line. But that has nothing to do with me. The call center was polite, but maybe they could be told how to avoid giving new patients appointments after 4:30p. Then today the dentist’s car was down and I only had X-rays done. They almost didn’t do the X-ray because they assumed I had them done the day before when I was there. They said the front deck girl could’ve at least let me do that as it takes less than 10 min. However, She was unwilling to help. The lady with the shaved short blonde hair was super kind and apologized along with the front desk lady that was there the next day. Not a good intro to the office at all.

My appointment was at 9AM, I arrived 15 min early. I signed in and my name and was told to wait 25 minutes. I waited over an hour now and still waiting. I highly don’t recommend this place because they don’t value the patients time because of their bad time management. As I was upset from the wait time and requested a supervisor, the receptionist said that I also have to wait for as the supervisor is busy. This can’t be more absurd than this. Thanks

I have braces and was assisted by a practitioner who was yanking out a wire that ended up slapping me in the face with! That was so painful ! Imagine getting slap in face with a metal wire! All due to poor work experience and rushing her job! To make things worse she did not even apologize ! When I asked “Why was she yanking the wire out “ she said” It was an accident” With an attitude! Not acceptable at all! Multiple times this has been performed and never have they try to yank out my wire it’s always been done carefully! 2 Appointments later and I am looking for a new dentist. 1st appointment was because I was in terrible pain and knew I needed a tooth pulled or something. The tooth was broken and had come out in pieces during that week. I ended up waiting 45 minutes to have X-rays done and a total of 3 hours in which I saw the dentist a top of 20 minutes. I was given a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds knowing that I wanted the tooth pulled. I had to make a decision for a bone graph which I ultimately refused but more information on that in a moment. They did attempt to pressure me into getting a root canal and crown, however it wasn't covered by insurance and due to the cost, chose to pull the tooth instead. However they also setup to do fillings because I needed fillings as well. The dentist walked in towards the end, said "we aren't doing fillings today" and walked out. I had already paid the copay for the fillings, however, knew I was coming back for the extraction, I didn't request a refund. The pain meds helped, but was still very painful and I was having issues eating and drinking. The tooth was still coming out in pieces and at this point, lukewarm protein shakes and soups was all I could handle. Fast forward to the second appointment. I arrived and they asked for an extra $100 on top of what I had already paid. When I asked why, they said for the bone graft. I told them I didn't want the bone graft, and the lady at the front desk told me that if I didn't want the bone graph, they would reschedule me for the 31st. Which was 3 weeks away. I explained, I was in too much pain to wait. The response: "Well, we aren't forcing you to get a bone graft, but that's the only way the dentist is pulling your tooth today." There was further explanation that still made no sense to me. I asked for a refund of what I already paid and she started to tell me that someone else would need to do it and I would need to wait. Luckily another lady took over at that point and started the process, however informed me that it still will be a few weeks before I would see the money in my account. Since then, I've received several emails requesting feed back on my service... At this point, I am about to start a charge back process with my bank and filing a complaint with my insurance.

Horrible I walked in at 8 am to about 12 people in the lobby. I signed in took a seat and waited 20 minutes no one ever called me the girls at the front desk were talking about their daily life with a lobby full of patients. I walked up and asked if there was any paperwork I needed to fill out since I was a new patient. One of the girls said " oh sorry here you go" the young lady called me up to give me my ID and insurance card she literally tossed them at me on the counter! She was so rude when talking to patients it just gave me a bad vibe I walked out didnt even stay for my appointment. went home will be looking for a new location.

My experience was horrible for the third time! (1)they never start on time.(2) it's a revolting door from dentist to staff! But the worst is the HEAD LADY OF THE OFFICE. I HAD A CROWN PUT ON IN MARCH 2020, I TOLD THE LADY IT WASN'T SEATED CORRECTLY, SHE SAID IT HAD TO SETTLE!! I kept calling back saying I was in pain. The (answer) get some anbesol! I did for months. The cap finally feel out with a large hole on top. What could that be from???? Biting on that 1 side because I could close my mouth completely on the other side. The head lady told me it depends why the hole was there and it would cost me $780.00 I asked her HOW LONG SHOULD A CAP LAST AND AGAIN HER ANSWER WAS IT DEPENDS! I ASKED THE DENTIST, HE SAID 5 TO 10 YEARS! I REFUSED TO PAY! SHE AND I WENT BACK AND FORTH! IN THE END AFTER TELLING HER I WOULD SUE HER, SHE DID IT FOR FREE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS????

Before scheduling an appointment with Choice Dental, I verified with the employee over the phone that: A. They take new patients B. That the insurance I have would cover what needed to be done, I was told yes. I booked the appointment. I got there and filled out new patient paperwork. After 40 minutes of waiting, i was called in. I got Xrays done and the dentist mentioned additional work that needed to be done. In which I knew my insurance did not cover. But I still wanted to get a deep cleaning because that was the appointment I made. However, I was being pressured to apply for a credit card that would make easy payments for my dental work. In which I keept dening. Finally, I was told that they would schedule me for a deep cleaning in 6-8 weeks or once the dentist heard back from my insurance stating it was "OK" to do the deep cleaning. I said ok, but I left. I am definitely not going back there because I specified in my appointment what I needed. I gave the employee my insurance information. I verified over the phone with the employee that my insurance covered just a cleaning. Therefore, I should have been set for a cleaning in which it did not occur. I thought the dentist would do the cleaning and then billed my insurance later. But I guess not. This facility wants the money up front.

Really frustrating visit. Was referred here for a endodontic procedure. Filled out paperwork online, only for them to not be able to access it when I arrived. So I fill out paperwork again. Provide general dentist referral. Sit for nearly 2 hours in the waiting room with no updates from the staff unless you ask. Finally see the endodontist to have her tell us the procedure needed cannot be done at this office. I would have been upset either way, but extremely less frustrated had the doctor reviewed our file when we checked in and I didn’t lose half a days work. Systems and service need to be improved overall at this office.

Dental office failed to inform me of cost and charges and believed I would agree for paying $2400 for services. The office had ample time to advice me before my appointment of what was covered and what out of pocket expenses would be needed. Office should be clear of what services are mandatory as well as dentist minimum requirements or limitations to their providing services. Although my insurance covered services, dentist denied servicing my child unless they had nitric gas, and white fillings. This was NEVER informed to me until the hour of my children appointment. Parents feel pressured for services and make you feel guilty about what needs to get done now. Dental office shows no courtesy or empathy.

But its cordinator is gone for lunch, and can't give anything.. even i didn't either eat lunch..? and went again to get it today..still not ready in paper, just jotted note of my check up, bc my coverage doesn't know it how much co-pay until next 24 hrs.+ coming..

My twins had their first appointment at 12:00. I came 20 min before to assure I filled up any paper work and be able to see the dentist on time. Being at the dentist could be a stressful time for toddlers and wanted to make sure their experiment was a good one. There was no space to sit and I counted more than 10 people in the waiting area. Which means they don’t care about the COVID safety measures. I felt uncomfortable because I take my measures with my daughters and seeing so many people was a safety matter. I asked one of the assistants of how long it was going to take to be able to see the dentist abs he said that it was going to take over an hour. My daughters can’t wait for long at a dentist office!!! If they kids they should know better that they need to be seen during their appointment time. I was so upset to see that they don’t keep appointments on time and most importantly they don’t care about our health. I called my insurance and immediately change to another dentist.

This is the worst dentist I ever visited. I was very disappointed with the work the done on my denture and my partial. I took off from work and went in for adjustment. I sat in the chair for two hour before the dentist came in and told me that she can’t do adjustment on my denture because she is not the one that adjusted it before. So I had to get another appointment. One my next appointment I sat in the chair for 2hours and 20 mins . The dentist start making the adjustment. He told me that he he needs to get the instruments before he could continue the adjustment. I had to sit there until the instruments were sterilized, He then made the adjustments. The denture was so rough pieces of the material was hanging on the the and the denture s was cut in my gum. So I call the cooperate office and someone was supposed to get back to me and they never did. I had to call three more still no response. I finally call and ask for the manager and told them I wanted my money back. Her response was that they can’t give me my money back. Now they are trying to reline the denture and send it back to the lab. This place cause me so much pain and sufferings trying to eat. The denture was cutting my tongue and the partial had so many sharp edges. This their last chance to fix the problem. My next step will to file action against them.?

Edit: After my glowing reviews of this place we went back and it has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. We arrived 15 minutes early and signed in, only to not be acknowledged by the front desk receptionist until after about 15 minutes, and I had to let her know I signed in. My daughter needed two of her baby teeth removed and after taking my payment for what my insurance does not cover, I was told I could not go back with her to get the procedure done. I asked if I could stand in the hallway and was told no. She is 5 years old and as her parent I am her advocate and if I do not feel comfortable leaving my child anywhere, I won't. I asked if I could speak to the dentist to put me at ease, I was told no. This didn't sit well with me at all and I ultimately refused service. I was then told it would take up to 4 weeks for me to receive my refund since no services were rendered. 4 weeks is absolutely disrespectful. I asked for something to show services were not rendered today and she told me there was nothing she could provide. I was so happy to come back to this location because we had such a great experience the first time and I was hoping it would be the same this time around. Everyone my daughter and I came in contact with was great. They were personable and kind and just plain pleasant. We will be back.

One year ago they gave me a poorly done job and at a very expensive price they charged me for an antibiotic that goes on my gums and they never applied it to me according to them because I have to pay $850 more for a deep cleaning that this antibiotic is only applied when doing the cleaning and since I didn't want to pay them more money for the cleaning because they don't finish giving me the medicine I already paid them $5400 and they still want more for the cleaning they gave me a partial which I can't use Why is it wrong to eat the partial, it seems like they are rats?

This was my first time and I will never set foot in this building again. This was for my daughter. We live in Inglewood and our old dentist was in Van Nuys - so I was excited to find a dentist closer for myself and kids. Our appt was at 12pm. for my 6 year old. They never called her back until 1:35pm. (They took a bunch of walk ins and let them go ahead of the patients who had actual appointments. Once they called my daughter back - they didn’t allow me to go back (she’s 6!!!) and then left her alone in a chair unattended for another 3 mins. Needless to say we were there 2 hours and my child never saw anyone. I went back there and grabbed my child and left. I’d rather drive all the way to Van Nuys and have a good experience. 818dental in Van Nuys is affordable and accepts all insurance. Don’t waste your time here.

Arrived on time for 2pm appointment, was not seen at all and at 4:15pm they told me they were too busy and would have to reschedule for another day. This was my third appointment there. The first two were ok. I asked the front desk attendant and then the manager to assure me that this would not happen at my next appointment - they each explained that this happens and may happen again. Debating whether to just find a new dentist that keeps appointments.

Prior to my childrens appointment I filled out the nessacary forms online to cut down time on the check in process. Only for me to still have spend an additional 15 minutes with the clerk asking the same questions that was in the online questionnaire. My appointment was at 9am which we arrived early to.I was notified at 10:15 am it'll be and additional 30 to 40 minutes wait with no form of apology for my time being wasted. At 10:33am I decided to cancel the appointment due to and previous engagements I had scheduled @12pm. This was an overall bad experience and a waste of time

Something is going on with this facility. The first dentist my son saw was phenomenal! Facility keeps changing providers for some odd reason. Every time my son goes in, no one can remember anything. He required braces. Wasn’t able to wear the braces full term due to gum swelling! Oral surgeon stated that braces had to be removed and was informed that teeth were closed in enough to receive retainer. When my son came back for a follow up, no one knew who he was. Turned around and told him he needs braces.. OMG! What the hell is going on!!!? Spent over $10,000 and you can’t remember? I feel like I’ve been over charged. Have A1 dental coverage and it doesn’t make sense that every time my son goes he gets charged for something. Will find another dentist. So disappointed

My experience at this dentistry was horrible AGAIN. I have finally decided to find another dental office. Yesterday, I had appointments for both my son and myself to get our teeth cleaned. I arrived early, filled out stacks of paperwork and then I sat in my car to wait to be called in only to get a call saying that the dentist on site doesn't accept Delta Dental PPO insurance. This is the worst place on earth. 1hr wait to get in the door, another hour wait in the chair before the “doctor” shows his face. Lost X-rays and consent forms; probably to scam your insurance. I came with pain in my gums, specifically in the front on the top... they requested treatment for only the back on the bottom, as if playing some kind of sick game. If you’re insurance provider assigns you this dentist, I implore you to call back and demand a new one. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

This dentist office has had me wait on several occasions for 2 hours or more and still no services received. They book to many clients at 1time and do not have enough available dentist. It’s a waste of time and they attempt to charge you more than your co pay. Remember to always verify the procedure code the dental office is billing your insurance. If you would like to wait hours before being seen, this is your place. My dad waited over 2 hours without being called. When we went to ask, they told us that it would take another 45 minutes. Ridiculous. If you have other options from your insurance, go elsewhere. Avoid this place. They don’t respect your time.

I also filled out all the paperwork online so as not to do it in the office. When I arrive they tell me I have to fill them out again.

Great place I was scared to let go of my baby girl we have had 2 bad prior experiences somewhere else and i burst in tears when I couldn’t come in but they were great. They reassured me everything was going to be good and my daughter was in good hands they were super supportive and did relate as them being parents. Needless to say my daughter came out happy the balloons were an extra we did come in @7:00am and ended up living until 10:00am but it was expected since it was our first time their the paper work and the approving of insurance. Looking forward to our next visit in 6 months.

I am not one to complain about service. But I will make an exception. Parents be warned. I am health care worker, therefore every time I visit a doctors office I try to be understanding. I recently took my kids ( both under 10) for routine visit. Come to find out children are going in for consultation by THEMSELVES?? Routine check up, cleaning? They don't even notify you ahead of time of what their protocol is (due to covid). They call kids in and stop you at the door YOU CANNOT COME IN. There is nothing in their paperwork that states this. You don't even get to meet the doctor face to face because all the communication is with the staff. They discuss patient plan of care and treatment in the waiting area. Umm, do they not know about patient confidentiality?? When I asked they said.. ooh the kids seem to be more calm without the parents present.. I mean what child isn't afraid of the dentist. They even went as far as to ask.. "what insurance i had" how is that relevant??? I just do not recommend this place for children.

I was looking for a temporary dentist to see my son for a missing filling. The appointment process was pretty seamless. Until the actual appointment day. The office cancelled our appointment last minute due to the Dr. being out of office. I was able to reschedule the appointment for later that week. Due to being unable to request any more time off early from my work I was 8 minutes late to the appointment. And as a result they denied doing any procedures aside from x-rays for my son. I denied giving this clinic any money even if it was through our insurance. We were under the 10 minute grace period and it was a reschedule appointment due to their inability to see us the first time but they still denied helping us. I would not recommend this place as they dont seem to care about inconveniencing their clients like they can inconvenience us.

Unprofessional and cold team starting from reception up to the Doctor. Would not recommend taking kids or toddlers. Long wait for what seemed like no good reason other than just a slow, inattentive, and distracted chit chattering team. I was already back in the chair with my son waiting on the dentist to approach, when I was instead approached by a receptionist asking me to initial&sign a document with no explanation. I asked for clarification on why I would be initialing for consent to give my 17 month old drugs or anesthesia when he was only there for his first routine check up and we hadn't even talked to the doctor yet. She didn't have an answer just tried to continue to pressure me into signing saying its just their requirements. Still made no sense to me so I said, No, rather not initial next to that line. The hygienist stepped in to explain to me that I did not have to sign there but that there was also a part of the document that I could sign which wasn't highlighted; confirming that I had been given the information and that it was explained to me. I decided to sign there instead and leave the initial blank in the spot that I did not consent to. The receptionist then took the pen and marked an X on the initial box where I previously said I do not give consent..which could also be seen as an authorized initial. So I wrote the word "No" next to her check mark...very unprofessional of her..she should've just left it blank...she cant sign my sons consent forms! That could have easily been mistaken as me signing an initial and consenting which I had clearly stated I was not okay with. Moving on to finally the doctor gets out of his chair and walks up to us asking if we're there for me or my son...He didn't introduce himself or anything. So apparently he didn't look at the chart or info before walking in to be prepared? Unprofessional. He snaps on his gloves in my sons face, again would like to point out he was cold and unfriendly. He didn't introduce himself at all. Just stuck his finger in my sons mouth and my son was terrified and started crying. He's 17 months old!! Unprofessional. He then walks away and says he's fine. Those are the few words he shared. Didn't say bye or anything. Now my kid is just sitting there crying. The hygienist came next and was a little more warm. She came with a box of toys. She tried to do a balloon from a glove. She pat him on the back. She said hello. I didn't understand why she set up a bunch of metal tools *they looked pretty old and rusted too-even though they were in sterilized bags*, but she assured me she would just be brushing his teeth with a regular tooth brush. I said okay and tried to calm my hysterical toddler down. He wasn't budging. At that point he just clung on to me and was ready to go. I walked to the receptionist to check out. I immediately start to give them feedback. I say "wouldve been nice if someone wouldve talked to me about recommended toothpaste and toothbrush options for his age, given feedback on what not to do or eat for healthy preventative care, etc...to not make this visit a waste of time" and the receptionist just stared dead at me. It was almost offensive like a bad attitude like "why are you talking to me like I care" kinda look. her response was just like okay i can make an appointment for you to reschedule for his cleaning with a pediatric dentist..At that point I said "oh that makes sense, that dentist isnt even trained to work with children" but...the point is, when I called to make the appointment they knew the age of my son and they are the ones who recommended this time/day for me and i just agreed...why wouldnt it have been a pediatric dentist in the first place? I didnt have a bad attitude or get angry or outwardly annoyed at any time. I just took the moment step by step and gave opportunity for them to rise to the occasion. They flopped. Anyway....i wont be going back and I wont be recommending this place to anyone with kids.

Did not look for ways to charge me outside of my insurance (which I’m very grateful for), I didn’t have to wait long, staff was very polite and professional, facility was clean and they made sure to practice safety precautions (especially during this time where it’s really needed!) Very very bad service. I will never come back here again I had to wait 1 hrs and 30 min just to take xray and then an other 1 hrs to take me inside the room after they took me inside the room there was only 1 doctore and had 2 patients i waited other 45 min before the doctore come and see me. This place gave me the complete run around. I had a referral for am emergency root canal to go to this office. After speaking with their office to confirm my appointment days in advance, I come in to learn that they won't see me today because there was no "referral on file". It is a weekend so they claimed that they couldn't call the insurance company to get any confirmation. I went to my car and after 45 mins I got an emergency dentist on my line who confirmed that I had a referral to see them. I called the office from my car to verify that the referring dentist called to confirm and they told me sure. And advised me that I would only be being seen for a consultation. NOT an emergency root canal. I couldn't help but to notice that many black patients were being turned away for various reason by the front desk. The staff was insensitive to my needs and didn't go out my way to help me in my time of need. I don't recommend anyone to that office, especially African Americans.

I went to get a Crown replace that broke less than 3 months the dentist told me that it was covered under warranty but I had to come back after corporate approved it. I waited months for the approval and was told it was ok to come and everything was approved. Unfortunately it took me a few more months to get to the dentist because of unfortunate circumstances. I waited over a hour for x-rays I get in the chair then they are tell me that the Previous staff that was there is no longer there and is under a whole new management and nobody written down anything about the approval from corporate which was submitted and they don't think it's gonna be covered because I haven't been there to see the dentist which cost me $850 for the broken Crown. That is totally unacceptable I don't think there was a time frame when I have to come and get my replacement Crown and they're gonna tell me that I'm just gonna give them $850 as a loss, I don't think so I'm going to fight them on this from their corporate and my credit card company. Not the way to do business besides the new management seems like they only have one dentist, I walked out didn't get anything done and they telling me I need 4 more crowns are you kidding me. Not giving the dentist another single dime fix the 1st problem.

How they operate and managing the time is terrible. After taking x-ray, just sitting in the chair without any notifying for 2hrs to see the Dr. for what I needed to do, I've told Dr. I went there to urgently fill-up my broken tooth that pokes my tung and it will take about few minutes to smooth it out, but Dr. disappeared for another 10-20min. . Then lady came over to say that I have to wait until the January for to assign them as my Dentist.... So I said, it's okay. I will pay for today and schedule for serious work later. You know what she said??? "Oh You gotta wait he has three more patients before you and I don't know how much longer it will take" OMG!!!!!! Then what's the point of take appointments!!!! Total wasted of my three hours of morning of the day.

If you’re in pain be prepared to wait. They overbook appointments and have you waiting 2-3 hours. There’s one dr and 20 assistants. Dr. Mazloomi is the absolute worst dentist I have ever dealt with! No bedside manner whatsoever. Had a few questions on my daughter's dental and he took personal offensive as if I was questioning his character. Simple question "Does my daughter need a cavity filled on a baby tooth that is about to come out". His reply "Ma'am you can do whatever you want, I already told you she needs it taken care of." I asked why he seems upset. He slammed his tool down and told me I could leave. My husband, nurse and 7 year old daughter were there to witness. The nurse felt so bad and she was trying to smooth things over and answer my question that he should have answered. I will be contacting the Dental Board to put in a formal complaint. By the way front desk staff is superb, I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with this Dentist's arrogant imperious attitude!"

So....originally went in January 2019 and was told that my new insurance would not be in effect until July 2019 and they would not be able to give me a breakdown on cost for amongst them a hole in a tooth on the upper left side. I scheduled appt for today, 7/06/2019 at 11:00. Leading up to today, received texts and emails to confirm the appt. Yesterday I received a phone call to confirm appt for cleaning. I told the gentleman that my appt was for other work. Upon arrival today, after waiting for over an hour they again started with mentioning a cleaning. I stated that I have been awaiting wirk on a hole in my tooth since JANUARY, that if I wanted a cleaning, could have done so then. They said the dentist I saw was not in, on unscheduled vacation until later in the week. They took additional x-rays and said that tooth is now not salvageable. Had the nerve to ask if I wanted to schedule another appt - told them not in this lifetime. In short, not happy at all with service at this practice. Looks like they slam in a bunch of patients and there is no good customer service! ***Update 7/15/2019... As further display of the lack of customer service, I get a call today confirming my appt for tomorrow, 7/16 that they scheduled without my knowledge.. As I stated to the gentleman on the phone, on my last visit to their establishment, I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THEM.

My son's first experience in the office was in early March he had a toothache and was able to get in relatively fast, which I liked! The front office, xray technician and dental assistant were very nice and polite. Then comes Dr. Mahzoomi looks at the xray, immediately states that he can not perform the filing as he was not comfortable because it was out of his scope of practice to work on children. He stated that my son would need to see a children's dentist. Okay, thats fine so we head to the front were the young lady tells me she will put in the referral and it could take 6 weeks to process. We leave the office, 1 month passes no word from the office 2 months pass and the 3 months, at this point I call to check in to see the status of the referral. Come to find out they never processed a referral, the young lady on the phone states due to my son's insurance "2 attempts" need to be made before a referral can be place. First, this was not told to me as I exited in March or I would have scheduled a follow appt. Secondly, no attempt was made as Dr. Mahzoomi did not even look in my son's mouth. At this point I'm livid because that is not a good representation of patient care. The young lady scheduled me an appt. For today, we go back....the same dentist Dr. Mahzoomi comes in looks at the xray, this time looks in my son's mouth and says I dont feel comfortable this is out of my scope of practice. He will need to see a specialist. It's disappointing that a facility doesn't see the seriousness of patient care, we have already waited 3 months. Now we will have to wait again for the referral to be process, if it's even going to be really done this time. Nope, not happening to me twice I will be contacting upper management to file a complaint against this facility. Patient care is huge to the success of a company. Update: I still have not received a referral for my son. Had to get my insurance company to call the office directly, and even the rep had an issue with the staff taking care of the manner.

My husband has been going to this dentist for over 15 years, I have been going for the past 5 years and will say my teeth are the best they have been in years. Since 2017 once management changed along with the staff except Daisy, who is still there and always provides great service. The wait just to get x Ray is over 2 hours before the dentist see you. Office Manager is unprofessional and not people friendly. Not coming back ever again.

Dr. Mazloomi was very thorough and so nice, as was the assistant who took my X-rays. I don't know the receptonist's name and wish I'd asked because she was terrific--so friendly and helpful. So I get there 30 minutes before my 4pm Appt and then proceed to wait to be called in at around 4:45pm juat to take xrays and basically for doctor to tell me that my daughter didnt need the treatment her childrens dentist office recommended. After speaking g with doctor he then said ok if you want I can give her a filling to take care of the issue her ortho and dentist wanted taken care of but supposedly it is cosmetic now. So what is it does she or doesnt she need the work. Also I was referred to office for specific teeth which didnt make sense for them to take a full set of xrays but of course they went ahead and did so because that means they can charge insurance more. I've worked in the dental field before and because I didnt want to drive all the way to mission hills I gave this place a try but never again, they stay rescheduling people because dr is backed up and of course that's something the front desk does to ensure they make their daily goal somehow meaning they overbook with the thought of some patients may cancel. Thank you for nothing I will never return.

I got my wisdom teeth removed here and aside from charging a ton of money to remove my wisdom teeth, I now have TMJ as a result of the removal. From the week of the removal until now, months later, my jaw pops anytime I try to open my mouth. I visited another dentist as this is not my regular dentist, and I was told that this jaw popping will probably stay with me for the rest of my life and was a result of pulling too hard to remove the teeth. It is more than mildly infuriating and I don't think I can afford treatment. Thanks. I really appreciate it, Choice Dental. Edit: My sister got her braces here and her teeth didn't even straighten that well after a few years with them. Edit 2 years later: Jaw pain. I can't move my jaw right now and I get pain all over the side of my face where the popping has been these 2 years. My jaw still pops, too. Worst dentist ever. My family refuses to go there now. We'd rather deal with our teeth ourselves than suffer the effects of malpractice. And we're working with insurance to get a new dentist

My experience started a week ago when I went in for a toothache with an abses, pain, throbbing. A full X-ray was taken and I’m sure it was not necessary. I felt as if though I was getting a scat scan. I did a walk in because of the pain I had and did not sleep the night before. I waited about 2 hrs just to see a dentist, they gave me antibiotics for the infection, told me, if I pulled it I would need bone graft $450.00 to hold the gum from collapsing.... I have never heard of that in my life. It’s a back tooth, just pull it out!!! If i wanted it saved it would be $450.00 with my insurance, I cannot begin to phantom the stupidity and money hungry office that I ended up going to. Anyway, I was given another appointment to return June 18, 2018, my nightmares, continues. My appointment was for 11:00 am, I arrived on time, waited for an hour and a half without been seen. I told them I did not want a bone graft inserted in my mouth if the tooth would be pulled, that disappointed them, they won’t make that $450.00 they wanted, so I was given another appointment for next week to see a specialist to pull out a SIMPLE back tooth. Thank goodness my mouth is no longer swollen , because I won’t show up if I were given a million dollars! The staff is terrible and the dentists are all about money. Ratings should start with a 0 star ⭐️ that’s what I would give them. They sucks! I will report them to the ADA as soon as my time permits.

I went see Dr. Turkmany for my check up and cleaning. I was very impressed and satisfied with the professionalism that Dr. Turkmany treated me. He took his time explaining my options. One could tell that he takes prides is his work and he cares for his patients. Overall the doctor was extraordinarily! I highly recommend him! The down part is that he’s only there Monday’s and Wednesday’s. He should be there every day. The only horrible thing was the wait time. I waited for more than 3 hours. They need to have an efficient system where they see patients faster. I know is not the doctors fault but the people in the front overbooking patients.

If I could give 0 starts I would too. It was my fist time coming to this dental office and the staff is very unprofessional and rude. I received the worst service ever from a particular lady who worked at the front desk her name was “Norma” she has orangishh hair and horrible eyebrows I say this because this was all I could focus on as she spoke. She used my personal information that I provided the office with when I first arrived. She signed me up for their alliance dental credit card without my consent or authorization! Which is illegal I don’t care what she thought or assumed she was wrong! .. She handed me the form to signed for the credit card and three other papers that listed their payment options and told me what she recommended then walked back to the front as I walked to the the front to get more information she cut me off and said “Your Aproved” as if I was suppose to be happy. Being approved wasn’t an issue for me at all, I just simply wanted clear information about the payment options they provide. But for her that was a problem she was very inpatient and had terrible customer service. When I told her I didn’t want the credit card she got upset and said it was to late to change my mind and that I was already approved. I don’t know if the employees get bonuses for the amount of credit cards they are able to sale or whatever the case may be but this was totally unacceptable. I literally still had the forms in my hand nothing was signed or confirmed I told her I wasn’t done reviewing my options and you seem to be in a rush is there anyone else I could speak to she got upset and said the next person will be in in the next hour and she doesn’t want me to wait I told her I waited this long I don’t mind waiting. She even tried to go back and forth with me infront of other customers she was yelling, she put her hand up as if she was giving me the hand and trying to debate all because I wanted to wait to speak with someone else. At this point I’m sure she knew she was in the wrong , after waiting another hour in a half I spoke to a guy name Luis he wasnt empathetic at all all he said is that he would have a talk with her. I don’t see how a grown women can act in that manner in the work place she clearly needs more training. I will be contacting corporate because not only did I receive horrible service but now I have to worry about my credit being effected by this credit card I don’t even want or need. Also after reading other reviews it seems like this dental office is just money hungry and doesn’t really value their customers at all as a young women who works in customer service I expect more and is deeply disappointed is the see I received definitely won’t be back.

It doesn't Make sense that you have two kids and they make the appts 1 hour apart and that my son appt was at 4 and they end up seeing him at 520pm and my other son appt was at 5 and he was 15mins late because he was stuck in traffic and they tell me they can't see him no more because he was late. So if he was there on time they were going to see him at least at 6pm anyways.. Bad service. They can take 2hours to even take you to a room, but you can't be late because they just won't see you, and when they tell me they are going to see him after I complain, the lady forgets to tell the other staff and I'm waiting 30 more mins until I get up to see what's taking so long and they don't even apologized. So now they see my second kid at 620pm.

Choice Dental has some of the friendliest staff I've ever met. Yesenia, Emily, and the other girls whose names I always forget are EXTREMELY nice, very professional, amazing human beings. Every time my daughter and I come to our appointments they know who we are, call us by name and treat us very, very nice. The dental assistant whose names I forget love my daughter and treat her like their own niece, daughter they are all awesome! I wish I knew everyone of their names to put it on here. Dr. Tartakow is awesome as well, fast and always takes the time to explain things. He always jokes with my daughter and makes her laugh. She really enjoys coming to the office even though she's scared of dentist, but he always makes if fun! This group of staff at the HAWTHORNE facility is an amazing and awesome group and I love coming to see them and talking to them. Always accommodate our appointments to our schedules. For those that say this place is awesome...They must have paid to have the good drugs. There is nothing good about this place. Went in for an extraction. I have bad teeth. I know this. I have an infection in my back bottom molar. I wanted it pulled. Very simple. They come in and try to tell me they will not just pull one. I need multiple. I tell the lady, no... I just need one pulled. She proceeds to tell me that she doesn't know how much to charge because she pulled the information from an automated system. I show her my documentation straight from the insurance broker. She says she can charge me her price. I ask if I can be refunded after they figure out that they've over charged me. Nope. The overage will be posted on my account. Ok... So you want to steal from me? Not gonna happen. She kept refusing to even give me a price for one extraction. I finally ripped off the bib and walked out. What a worthless bunch of people. They're not in it for anything but the money. And the dentist? Well...He's a piece of ish. Looked at my mouth and x-rays for all of about 2 minutes. If that! As he walked out he said "she'll be in to talk to you". I asked "what about this extraction". His reply... "Yah...she'll come in to talk to you". He had no intention on doing a simple extraction. This man needs to be reported for malpractice.

In July of 2014 I had an implant,a deep cleaning, and a cavity filled. The total was somewhere around $4400 dollars I had insurance and at that time they claimed that my insurance covered very little, I took their word. Well Jan 2015 I went in for a REGULAR cleaning with NEW INSURANCE. They wanted me to pay $272 out of pocket and tried to sell me on some cosmetic work that I had already declined before. I had to get to work earlier that day so I rescheduled for the next day and that gave me time to think about it. I called up Nu Image in Inglewood, same insurance, next day, regular cleaning. They charged me $0. hmm…. whats wrong with this picture ? Well I now can't help but think that I was overcharged for the work I had done back in July. I thought the staff at Choice was great everyone was nice and professional BUT, their pricing is OUTRAGEOUS ! Looks like this facility will not be my CHOICE from now on.

I have so much to say about West Coast Dental, including that I am so thankful to have found the best dentist in the area. First of all, the staff here is just great. I am always treated with respect, and each staff member is always extremely courteous to me, my wife, and our children. And we love our dentist! She is truly a kind, passionate, and hard-working dentist. You can tell that she takes her job very seriously, and never adds on procedures just to make extra money. Another great thing about this place is the cost! Their prices are low, but they also accept insurance and offer various payment plans. We got their dental discount plan, which is just perfect for our family.
