TLDR: I do not recommend going to this facility or spending your hard earned money with this office. Stay away unless you like being overcharged, wasting your time, and frustrated. If you’re sitting on the phone waiting for the dental group to help you, I’ve got a story for you below. Not impressed at all. Showed up as a new patient for a teeth cleaning at my 10am appointment. 10:08 Filled out the paperwork and submitted everything back to them. 10:41 i’m taken back for prelim Xray’s. 11:23 the dentist sees me and provides a couple options and recommendations. 11:42 an assistant comes back with the recommended Invisalign price or option 2 with night guard and some preventative treatment. I pass on the extra stuff, I just want my teeth cleaned. They inform me that the teeth cleaning and discharge will take 40-60 minutes on top of being there for over an hour and a half. Rescheduled for the following week just to get it over with. No way is it normal to spend over 2.5 hours at a dentist for a scheduled teeth cleaning. And it was super odd that they had me e-signing 2 separate documents at the bedside. Never had to do that before. ————— update 1 Update. They accidentally charged me an additional $238 after paying $106 on the first day of service. We’ll see if that is resolved, whether an accident or nefarious activity, I can’t say. Mary, at canyon dental, is working on right now, so I do appreciate the help from their staff. She promises to call tomorrow, Saturday, so I’m appreciative of them working on the weekend to resolve this. The second return date resulted in an additional $81. This was for a routine teeth cleaning for a new patient and I do have insurance and this dentist is in-network. $425 for a routine teeth cleaning is more expensive than I’ve paid at any other dentist. Still not happy. If this gets resolved, I’ll update the post, but here I am a month later and still giving this place 1/5 stars. I don’t plan on returning. —— update 2 12/3 - Almost 2 months after the initial visit and still no resolution. I reached out to the office twice, asking for the updated invoices. They sent one of two invoices and not even the one that matters. Somehow I still owe just shy of $300 on top of the $106 copay from the first visit. Don’t waste your time with this dentist, you’ll get overcharged, bait and swapped, have limited support from their facility, and still owe money and waste additional time trying to get anything resolved. —— Update 3 1/21/2025 - 4 months after the service - still no resolution. Insurance says that dentist billed for X-rays coded under medical necessity. Insurance doesn’t know why there would be additional X-rays deemed medical necessity in addition to the initial X-rays since i was a new patient seeking routine teeth cleaning. Dr’s office claimed that the dentist would call back to clarify on numerous calls, they have yet to do that in the last 4 months. However, they continue to send me monthly invoices for the outstanding debt. Insurance called the dental office for a three way call. The dentist placed the insurance company on hold. Then proceeded to hang up on the insurance company. So now we’ll start the calling process again. Currently sitting in the car going on 43 minutes for the phone call, hoping for a quick resolution. I would give this a negative star review if I could. A zero star review means that I didn’t get any benefit from this, whereas I’ve been on the phone with insurance and this office numerous times. So I’ve paid for the privilege to waste my time with no recourse against the dentists office. Update 4 Insurance couldn’t get ahold of the dental office because they kept placing them on hold. They recommended that I drive to the office and talk to someone in person. This place is a jokeeeeeeee. Update 5. 3/26/25 Waiting in the lobby to talk to their billing expert about the charges because no one picks up the phone. The bill was audited internally and reduced $75, but I wasn’t notified. They are threatening collections with no explanation of the balance.

I feel disappointed to orthodontia Dr.Douglas William at canyon dental group to refused to see my son 10 years old. We had first appointment that my son scared to death to the needle that supposed to have sedation bcoz of trauma from the fast he refused to cooperate for 2 times that day,then we made another appointmentafter2 weeks that day he is ready to cooperate he is brave enough to do the procedure they refused to see my son. Bcoz he said he didn’t cooperate them last time we there,I feel hurts but he is he has right to do that,but I wish as a Doctor shouldn’t do that,His assistant was rude I don’t see any comfort from her to encourage my son to cooperate.but the other staff front desk working there they did the best.

Run! Sleazy, sleazy, sleazy. Save your money,, I wish I can give a -5 stars this is the worst place. Gave my husband a quote for all kinds of work adding up to almost $3k out of his pocket including the cleaning which was the only reason i scheduled his appointment,,, he was told an ultimatum of he would have to get all the work done or nothing. This place is a joke.

My daughter came here for an infected tooth. The dentist named an antibiotic when we went to the pharmacy. It was not the antibiotic the dentist named. I had to call them and get them to send the right medication to the pharmacy. It Does not give me much faith in this practice and especially after reading all the negative reviews am I doing right by my daughter by taking her here?

THIS dental group STEALS YOUR MONEY!!! I am writing this review because my wife and I have not been to this dentist office in over a year and all of a sudden there's a new bill they have sent. This is actually the SECOND time they have done this. Their Accounting manager says she knows your insurance and what the amount should be. After paying for over $2,500 dollars worth of work, all of a sudden there's another bill. After I paid that one, now there's a second. On top of stealing your money they harass you every single day with phones calls to try to force you to pay. Literally every single day. I've tried to speak to anyone there but they refuse to give a call back. Terrible terrible place to go to.

Don’t come here! I was excited to try a new dentist closer to home. Went through the trouble of switching my insurance provider around. Set this appointment up a week prior. They didn’t even bother to call or text to notify me that they were closed this Saturday. When I got to the office there was no sign saying they were closed. Waited for 10 minutes until finally I got through calling their numbers. I wasn’t sure if maybe they were running late. The lady on the phone was rude. She also said that the notes said my voicemail has not been set up. My voicemail has been set up my entire life lol. All this to say save your time and money and go somewhere else. This is how they treat new patient can’t imagine how they treat someone who has been there before.

This dental office has to be the most unprofessional, unorganized, borderline malpractice ridden office I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. I have been a patient here for 2+ years now and can assure you that if you are looking for dental care, this is not the place. They have never been able to hold a regular and consistent orthodontist in their office and often times the staff would show up late to appointments. Because of the constant change in orthodontists, the problems with my teeth have NEVER been fixed, despite spending many years wearing their 3M retainers and regular check ups. First orthodontist didnt even address the the scooping in my front teeth and fit me for retainers to straighten my teeth. The second orthodontist seemed promising, as she noticed immediately some popping in my jaw - but then surprise surprise she stopped working there! The third hardly listened to my concerns and wouldnt even check my teeth when i came in for checkups, leaving me in the hands of assistants who would often just hand me new packs of retainers and send me on my way. Did i mention that the retainers cost me 3 grand?!!! Then in recent months, there was an apparent glitch in their system which charged patients the portion of their dental bill that is supposed to he covered by insurance. I got a random bill in the mail for 600 dollars!! I called immediately and was given a run around as to why i could not speak with the financial department, but that it was definitely just a glitch and it would be resolved. I called, repeatedly, for MONTHS. Every time, same answer. “It is just a glitch, our financial department is working on it, we will call you when its resolved.” Not that I am all that surprised at this behavior. Just before the billing issue, they had me in to do impressions for yet ANOTHER round of retainers & they lost the impressions! I called for weeks, asking if my retainers had come in yet, only for them to give me a similar run-a-round; assuring me they would call when they located them. It wasn’t until i drove down to the office and spoke with someone in person before they FINALLY admitted their mistake and had me do the same impressions again. I have officially given up on this place. They will not see me again, despite still having an entire box of retainers left at their office. They keep emailing me and telling me that i am overdue for my appointments, well they are overdue in some decent customer service. Avoid this place at all costs.

Totally dishonest recommended a root canal and extraction they could not explain to my satisfaction the reason for the root canal so I went to a second opinion went back to my previous dentist in Tijuana Mexico. I tried to use a US Dennis, Dennis and Tijuana extracted my tooth for half the price, and could not find the reason for any root canals I don’t feel this. Dennis is very ethical.

If 0 was an option I would select it. The first time I came I didn’t have any major issues but I did have to wait a long time and I was going for my 2 year old so it was a bit rough. They literally only brushed his teeth for 45 seconds and then told me to make sure I floss for him (they didn’t floss) and I turned down the fluoride because so things I read online and I wanted to do more research. Made another appointment for 6 months down the road. But since I had a copay I needed a copy of the receipt so I could get reimbursed from my FSA. I called them and them emailed me it and I noticed that billed insurance for fluoride, which never happened! I couldn’t believe it. I called and asked why they did that and they said he got fluoride but he was on my lap and definitely didn’t. That was a big red flag to me. I wanted to cancel the appointment after that but it’s the only dentist I can go to with my insurance without driving out of town. Well then the second appointment came up. They called and texted(twice) me to confirm the appointment for 4pm then the day of I get another text saying the appointment is at 3:30. I had to call and they did say it was 3:30. I had already updated my calendar to 4 so they said that they could change it no problem. I get there 3:50 and wait 25 minutes with a 3 year old. Then I go sit down and wait another 20 minutes in the room. The doctor finally comes in and they say it is just a visual exam and he says his teeth or fine and the doctor seemed confused why I came in for a visual exam without having an issue. Well I came for a cleaning! Then a lady tells me I can wait for a cleaning but there are “other patients” ahead of me. I asked how long she came back and said 20 min. And I said it took less than a minute to brush his teeth the last time. And she came back saying someone would come right over. Waited 5 min no one came so I just left. On the way out I asked for a print out of what was down and they couldn’t figure it out and I had to tell them just a visual. The employees were just blank faces and never apologized for the mix up. It was a bit ridiculous and I will never got back and would t recommend them to anyone.

What a shame!!! They called to let me know what I needed to be done was approved. I asked multiple times to make sure I wasn't gonna have to pay out of pocket they assured me, I got to the office and boy did that change not only the extreme price($4000) for one tooth but I showed up at 1045 fo my 11am appointment after waiting over a hour i get a chair and the doctor blamed the receptionist for telling people false info, she leaves im sitting waiting as someone passes my wife asked for some help to get started they once again put us on hold to charge us after waiting another 20 min I finally gave up and walked out....not only do I not suggest you go there but I suggest they get new employees or train them properly...nothing is worse than someone doing a job for money and have no care for the people they serve....

Idk what all these messed up reviews are about I've been coming here for 5 years and I've never had a bad experience. I'm usually late to all my appointments and still I get called in like 2 minutes later and I can usually get appointments like the next day depending on the time I call I can sometimes go in the same day. I've gotten my wisdom teeth removed here, no complaints. Yeah they have like upsells you know that insurance doesn't typically cover but I mean you can always say no. It is a business after all. I paid out of pocket for my night guard and they're very flexible with payment offering several different options. The providers are very sweet and patient even when I start freaking out about needles they're very accommodating I've never even had one give me like an exasperated sigh or anything and I've always felt like my comfort is a top priority for them.. BTW they accept ALL insurances including medi-cal(mine).... I'm pretty sure I saw a sign outside stating that once.

If I can give them 0 starts I would. From the start I was very clear I only wanted to have the procedures my insurance covered & nothing else. I was losing my coverage at the end of the month and loosing my job. I notified the office clerk of my situation, the Xray technician before he started and during the X-rays, due to the amount of X-rays he was taking. notified the doctor and the billing coordinator. All I kept hearing was yes, I have good insurance up to 2,000 and it would cover all but 175.40 which I paid out of pocket. About 3 weeks later I get 269.00 bill and a few days later another $359.30 bill I have called 7 times to speak to someone about this and they told me they would have the office manager Eli call me. Since she would need to call the insurance. When I do call She has been unable, she left early and today. She did not come in to work. I asked if someone else could help me. My bill is due on Monday and no one can help. I’m now stuck with a $630.00 bill and unable to get any assistance on the matter. My insurance said they denied coverage because of the amount of X-rays taken and because how they submitted the bill pass my coverage. Unfortunately I’m stuck in the middle with a bill that will become pass due and being affected my credit.

This Dental group has some of the most unprofessional doctors in the business. Their assistants are also very unprofessional. I guess the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Don't get me wrong, they do have some very good assistants in the practice. They also have some, not all, good receptionist. The reason for the 1 star is because of the accumulation of bad service over the past visits. I don't normally post reviews, but the service is so bad that something has to change.

I visited canyon dental group for dental specialist and they take x-ray my teeth and after they said i need orthodontist specialist and they said they don't have that on their clinic and they don't know where to refer me, also my parent did the process for his crown with them and my parents after they work he went at home and he started feeling a lot of pain and went back to the clinic canyon dental group said you need to see orthodontist specialist ,why they did the crown job if they not professional for that job i will not recommend to anyone.

I never write these, but after my visit today, I felt I really needed to... Do NOT use this dentist if you value your time. I had an appointment at 930am, didn't see the specialist until 1020am, then they need to do some other work but they're overbooked so I'm waiting around in their chair waiting for the dentist, finally get seen then they decide I do need specialist work and to just sit in the lobby and wait. I finally left after the FOURTH HOUR. I just made an appointment with another dentist and changed my insurance then and there. Incredibly unprofessional and frustrating, I will actively discourage people from using this dental group.

First time there, go in for a cleaning, they require you to purchase x-rays if you plan to be a patient there (this may be normal?) I had booked a cleaning for myself and my husband. I arrived on time, I was called 40 minutes after my appointment time. After x rays I was taken to the room where I sat for another 40-50 minutes. Beyond and hour and a half after my appointment time they still had not begun my teeth cleaning. I ask when they'll begin, they say soon, and after 10 more minutes they say they don't have the staff to clean my teeth for another 40 minutes (which would be 2.5 hours after my appointment time). I finally rebook to actually get the cleaning. They tell me I need all this work done. I get a couple cavities filled...it's been a few weeks and have pain in one of those teeth. My husabnd...had the same experience minus the long wait time. He had his teeth cleaned and a cavity filled and that filling was hurting him. They saw him right away and confirmed she'd "drilled too deep for the cavity" and the filling was hitting a nerve and that he'd probably need a root canal.... ? Neither of us had any pain in our teeth prior to using this dentist. Both were convinced to fill cavities and now both of us are experiencing nerve pain in the teeth that had work done. The whole experience genuinely felt like they are trying to scare you into more and more procedures and if that doesn't work then conveniently both of our cavities (which we'd never had prior to coming to this dentist) will likely now need root canals due to the over drilling. The front desk team is very nice. That's a plus. But I would stay far far away.

Dr. Andrabi and her staff were professional, courteous, and compassionate. While I am fine with most other medical procedures, I am pretty nervous and scared of going to the dentist lol... They helped me out here. I was in a world of pain, and they did their damned best to accommodate me, took their time with me. Taking x-rays was even difficult due to the amount of pain I was in. I had 2 tooth extractions and bone grafting done. Dr. Andrabi and the assistants working on me were extremely patient, and gentle with me. They did all they can to keep me assured that all was good, and got me through it. The post-surgery pain is nothing compared to what I went through before, its an actual walk in the park. There are mostly good reviews for this dental group, but I can assure you, the few bad reviews on here don't seem to be warranted. I wouldn't want to see another dentist now after going here. The most unprofessional office.very rude staff, very disrespectful group of employees, they don't know how to talk to people, they don't ask to do things politely they only give orders, when I was called to go see the dentist, the hygienist order me to rinse my mouth that made me feel myself so uncomfortable .The way he told me to rinse my mouth was very insulting( rinse your mouth)... I don't think they are qualified doctors or assistants, I left without any procedures because I was scared of the staff being under qualified. I don't recommend this clinic to anyone.

When it comes to be scared of a dentist...I'm it! I have been to USC Dental School for the cost, but hands down, this office is the place to be; it’s worth every penny they charge. I don't have insurance, but I am a patient for the rest of my life! I don't know how Dr. Toor did it but, I felt no fear when they were preparing me for an extraction. I had very little pain the day afterwards! Great thing about this practice is flexible payment plans. I tell everyone about Dr.Toor and her friendly staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and most importantly...the modern up-to date technologies they have!

I was a new patient Sept '23 and had 2 visits. I liked the female dentist & had consult with Endodontist (Endos typically only come 1/2x a month). I sat down with scheduler for Root C. procedure and put appt in my calendar. I went to appt and office didn't have it scheduled AND Endo was not even in that day. The customer service was very bad and a red flag. No apologies or attempts to offer solutions. I walked out. The next week I left 4 messages for Office Mgr to call me and have not heard from anyone there for 2 1/2 weeks. Another red flag. I am super angry ? ? because I tried to be on time for my appointment that my daughter had at 11:00am and we arrived early 10:45 and we did it, and then they call us at 11:45 inside she waited for 30 more minutes for her X-ray and for just a regular cleaning it took us two hours and 20 minutes We left at 1:20pm, this place is so unprofessional with patients time.

This is the most important review you will read about this place. The ending is where the main meat of the review is at. To start off The front desk staff is rude as everyone else says and snickers about you behind your back , but I was fine dealing with that in order to get proper dental treatment. The wait times are indeed long , be prepared to wait 45-1 hour for the doctor to sit you in the room then extra time is spent waiting in the chair for the doctor to actually see you. You would often hear the office manager screaming at someone on the phone from the waiting room so I don’t doubt those reviews are true. The female doctor i went to after overcoming all the bullying and wait times was actually really nice however, the male doctor I went to said instead of suggesting half crowns he automatically suggests full crowns and had done so for so long he had no clue how to put a half crown in and had to keep asking his assistant how to do it. So I’m sure the up charging claims are also true. But the main points here that would have me rank this place as negative 5 stars is the oral surgery team. Never , I mean never book with the oral surgery team here. I woke up during the procedure and he continued to try to pull out my teeth despite me crying in pain. The only reason he stopped is because he told his nurse the crying was messing him up. The person holding my head was holding it so tight It was almost as painful as the tooth extraction . all i could do was keep saying i was in pain and to stop everything yet they didn’t stop. The nurse kept angrily shouting at me to breathe through the laughing gas on my nose but i was beginning to pant heavily and almost panic from the fact that they DID NOT AND WOULD NOT stop when they realized I woke up. I kept trying to ask them i thought i wasn’t supposed to feel pain?? I thought I was supposed to sleep through it?? But I felt it as the doctor grabbed my tooth and pulled it. The nurse got so irritated with me on the verge of a panic attack and unable to stop crying she shoved a cloth over my mouth so I’d be unable to breathe through my mouth. Would she do that to her mother? her father? Her kids? I just sat there limp being smothered by my own nurse until the doctor ordered for more IV treatment. This was by far the scariest and most inhumane doctors visit I’ve ever had. And I’ve undergone other IV surgeries before. If you care about yourself, your kids or anyone you know. Do not come to this establishment. When I woke up from the second dose of IV I immediately begin crying as everything that happened came back to me. When i got in the car that was supposed to pick me up i was visibly shaking and when my pickup person asked the surgeon what was wrong….he said WOMEN often get emotional during a procedure like this…..that’s exactly what he said….I’d never in my life refer this place to anyone much less another women. And yes I’ve already tried to contact the COO of the company as well as will be emailing the contact team. This is unacceptable and I urge anyone and everyone to find another dentist provider that accepts your insurance.

It began from scheduling for an appointment for my daughter. As soon as we arrived, we were given the “first time patient” forms, however it took 2,5 hours to see the doctor. After that we WERE NOT provided the bill. We only did x-rays and simple cleaning for her. We were not told that we’d be overcharged. The overcharge was the $150 for “dental instructions”. Literally, they told us “brush and floss your teeth”. I could say it to my kid, thanks for the wisdom. Then I was calling twice a day, every day for a week trying to reach the manager. I’d be promised to give a call back. Never happened. I emailed the manager directly 3 days ago and yesterday - no response. The most horrible dental office experience run buy toxic gaslighters. I’m going to complain to the dental board. I bet I was not the only one to be ghosted with the medical bill that eventually goes to collections. Beware of this «шарашкина контора». Dishonest place motivated by money only. No service, no human respect. On the picture there is doctors name who was decent (although would make us wait after looking at x-rays because she was fixing someone else’s teeth.. when we had an appointment and after waiting for 2,5h for her to finally be available for us). Elia was the manager who would not get back to me for a week.

**WARNING**Like most of the reviews left, I too had thee most HORRIBLE experience ever. The manager Elia got in my face and was yelling like she was ready to street fight with me. The front staff have thee worst attitudes/aggression. Many reviews have been left complaining about the abusive treatment received from Elia and her staff, but it looks like Western Dental Group is not taking them serious. Instead Western is opting to paint the patient as the problem. Elia should have been fired!! She is putting the whole office and clients in a very dangerous, confrontational situation. Elia strong arms clients to get large sums of money out of them, extreme price gouging. She uses intimidation/bullying tactics if the client ask any questions regarding the pricing. Western Dental should value their clients safety and provide a non-confrontational environment. Patients should not have to go into a medical procedure with raised blood pressure because Elia is walking around like a bulldog treating them like they're in a junk yard. I guess Western Dental won't take action until Elia verbally assaults another patient and it goes bad for her. It's just a matter of time!! Avoid this dental office at all cost or it might be you next!! If I could give negative 200, I would.

Worst experience! I’ve been going here for 17 months and they have been 30-40 minutes late to every appointment but 2. They reschedule majority of your appointments or will cancel them 2 days prior because the “ortho won’t be in those days” which delays your treatment another 2/3 weeks every time it happens! (Which has happened 4 times). One time they just canceled my appointment and didn’t tell me until I was onsite due to lack of payment when they were sending the bill to the wrong address (I gave them my new address before I moved and twice after)! I even offered to pay the balance while in the office and they told me no. I’ve had 3 different orthodontists in those 17 months and at one point the ortho asked me how I felt about my smile because he thought it looked great when 3 of my teeth were still noticeably crooked… he then asked me how I’d like him to fix it. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

The staff was great, but the most important thing was how the Dentist literally gave me a dental treatment plan that no other dentist had even suggested, which makes me upset because I was seeing a periodontist & was not even told on how to prevent bone loss. Upsells and long waits. That’s what you can expect. At the start of my last appointment I said I need to get to work ASAP so please, just the regular exam and cleaning and no upsells. An hour later all I’d had done was x-rays and a 5-minute exam from the dentist and lots of upselling. A brochure on a home treatment they tried to sell me last time that’ll end up costing thousands of dollars. No thank you. Then, of course, I have pockets and need Arestin treatments. 6 of them at $120 a pop. Hmmm… oh, and I need deep quadrant cleaning for an up-charge. Now, sure, I might really need a deep cleaning, but funny enough I didn’t need one last time and that’s after coming from my previous dentist. This time they did the last cleaning, so ? And yes, Arestin has its merits and is useful in certain circumstances, but it’s also an excellent way to charge a bunch of money and, as a patient sitting in a chair, it’s a little difficult to prove or disprove the need for it. I mean, you care about your health, right? I feel like this company (and it *feels* like a company) is all about maximizing profit and taking advantage of peoples’ vulnerabilities. So, back to the visit: Now the billing rep comes to ask you what you’re buying. Fortunately they don’t pressure you too hard so you can just decline all the extras. I agreed to the deep cleaning, since they’re the experts, right? Sat around for another 15 minutes then got a shot of numbing medication. Sat around for another 25 minutes — numb, and getting angry. I had a bad feeling about all of it, and I was missing meetings at work, so… I politely left and will not return. As I walked out I saw 5 other patients in chairs, looking at phones with no one around. Believe me, I wanted it to work out. Now I need to find a new dentist. I’ll be looking for a small operation where they’re less profit-driven and more patient-centric.

I would give zero star if I can. One time I went in for a regular check up and waited one and a half hours. I wasn't even late to the appointment. I got mad when I saw a lot of people who came in as walk-ins go in for treatments earlier than me. One another time, a woman scheduled me an appointment for my due regular check up. But when I actually went in, they said they cannot do any treatments for me because I am not due until the next week. I have more stories like this but I don't want to waste my time writing here. Personally I felt the dentist did very well but they need to change the dental assistants. I took my mother to get her teeth pulled and they had given my mother a prescription to knock her out. As soon as I got there my mother had taken the medication 20 min prior as instructed, and the dental assistant had a dam attitude to start, starts questioning my mother who is clearly feeling the affects of the medication and asked who gave you the medication. Then as I walked my mother back she tells the doctor “we have a patient who is pre medicated and shook her head in front of me. When she asked my mother why she needed the medication which I’m sure is not in her job description she told me to go to the waiting room. Overall that dental assistant was very unprofessional and needs to be fired

Horrible, absolutely horrible. Office staff act like they've never dealt with insurance before, I needed a root canal after they already put a temporary crown on a tooth that had a little piece break off. They only have an endodontist once a month, so I made and appointment for that one day, which was 3 weeks later mind you, only to have that dentist apparently not show up and my appointment got cancelled last minute. So I tried to get a referral to go to an outside endodontist, and it was the most frustrating process ever. Back and forth phone calls for DAYS trying to get an authorization number from insurance to get me the referral. They kept telling me they've never done it before and that I should call my insurance myself?! Absolutely ridiculous. FINALLY got what I needed after two days and about 30 phone calls. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Oh They also text me non stop now trying to sell me cosmetic dentistry stuff, they're total scammers.

I Don’t tend to write bad reviews but this is frustrating. We had an appointment confirmed at 2pm, we got there at 1:45pm and had to complaint to the front desk in order to be sent back at about 2:45pm. Everytime we come here is the same thing. The people in the office give the impression that they are laughing and making fun of people. The lady who calls to confirm appointments is rude. No costumer service skills. Doctor is good.

My daughter was supposed to have her baby tooth pulled from the general doctor in order to continue on with her braces and brackets. I was told it needed to go through insurance for approval and that they submitted everything and I have to wait for her insurance to approve it. Months go by and I hear nothing from anyone. I ask the office what is happening. They say that whoever told me that was wrong and I don’t even need the approval and she can get them pulled. They schedule the appointment a few weeks later for her to get them pulled. I show up for her to get them pulled on her appointment and they say once again that whoever did that was wrong and she now needed ANOTHER consultation and they would have to send for approval and that it would take ANOTHER 2-8weeks. This has been a very frustrating experience for myself and my child who has now waisted so much time with her braces treatment and nothing being done. The office staff failed completely on this one and gave us the run around for months which was a complete waste of time and my daughter is completely stressed behind this inconvenience. I feel they need better command or training on what is needed for extraction ect before they inform clients incorrectly

Stay clear of coming to this place. They are more of sales team than a team of dentists/physicians. Dentist there told me that the best option for my broken tooth was extraction and implants but when I spoke to my Endodontist and she said my tooth is healthy and that I should try to save the tooth if I can before elective for implants. Turns out the implants were the $9000 option and they were motivated by money to give me their recommendation. I asked them for the cost of option1: root canal + brown build up and option 2 extraction + implant and they would only give me the cost breakdown for the implants and complained about having to do 2 cost break downs. Unbelievable. I can not recommend you run fast enough away from this place….

Very long wait for appointments- dental, and orthodontic. Dental visit/ cleaning was fine when we eventually got in. Orthodontic consultation lasted about 5 seconds, “She needs braces.” And that was it. No details. No time spent with us, as there was a long line of people who also waited way too long for their appointments. Felt rushed and lacked any attention to detail or thorough explanation. Have already found a new Orthodontist.

I just saw Dr. Andrabi. She’s an excellent dentist. I’m giving only two stars because they do not submit the proper requirements for insurance authorization of a procedure and it takes them forever - months to almost a year to get it done properly and get the authorization. I had to follow it up with them because the billers are not doing their job of submitting the requirements and one time they submitted it too late so it got denied. My husband also came with me to have another set of X-rays for the 3rd time because Denti-Cal said the X-rays are not clear. His appointment was at 4pm and they made him wait until past 5pm. On top of that, when we follow it up with the receptionist she was not even apologetic for the delay and answered in a rude manner like we were nagging her too much. They need to put more friendly people in the front desk who love their job and not someone who act like she is just forced to work and hates her job.

I've been going to the dentist for the 1st time at the end of March for extreme pain in my mouth on my left side. I saw a lady doctor for the 1st time after x-rays were done. She cleaned some of the tartar out of my mouth and said that was the problem. It didn't work the next time I was there was an april for extreme Pain I saw doctor Reyes a great dentist. Felt very comfortable x-rays were done again and then he told me that my tooth needed to be removed from the oral surge and the front desk told. Me that they couldn't schedule a consult until tell they received approval from my insurance keep in mind. This is the beginning of April. I am an extreme pain. Sick to my stomach have extrene headaches spitting up blood. such extreme pain I can't sleep my mouth hurts. It's swollen I spoke with my insurance Carrier yesterday. They said they have never received any type of request for approval ..yesterday. They expedited so I can have my tooth extracted. I was told the oral surgeon only comes in twice a month and the next time he'll be in will be June 13th. I won't make it that long I'm gonna end up in the hospital. I don't understand how this could happen I am in so much pain all. I'm asking is for the oral surgeon to handle this now or something to be done. I can't live like this I won't make it. I'm so scared.

I wish I had looked at the Google reviews before I even walked in the door. I too had the worst experience with Elia the office manger. While going over the prices and treatment plan she angrily and very loudly screamed at me to get out of the office because I asked too many questions not to her liking. I immediately filed a harassment claim with the companies customer service department. I later received a call from another treatment coordinator and was told that they would not continue to see me. I was told that the entire office staff felt uncomfortable with me. I was also told that the entire office filled out incident reports but I had no issues with any other staff member. Before I left, I had asked the receptionist if this happens a lot and she gave me a look of fear. I requested an email with full x-rays and treatment plan and only received 1 panoramic x-ray of that day of treatment. Beyond unprofessional, rude and terrifying behavior. I will also be making a formal complaint against them to the state board of dentistry. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Your Ortho department had me brought back to the area to get the new retainer measurement done for my son and then asked me if I was the patient! They had NO CLUE my son was on the other side of the building getting his cleaning and filings I finally just told them to turn him loose as soon as the cleaning is done, which was supposed to have been at 4pm and wasn’t officially started until after 5:30, which was the scheduled start of his Ortho appointment I told the lady I talked to that I’m having my mother call over here to set up / finish whatever we need to do The fact that the phrase ”the right hand didn’t know what their left hand was doing” can be used here, and after SEVEN different forms of confirmation contacts? This is the most backwards operation I’ve ever seen, and I work in pro wrestling, podcasting, and for Disney!

Reviews were right, front desk is rude and that is the only reason why we are not going back there. I can’t say that much about the dentist because I was not allowed to enter with my 7 year old, so I never met him. They stopped me at the door and just let my kid in, telling me only the patient is allowed in a very rude manner, blocking the door with her self in the middle like I was trying to break in! I have no idea of what they did or not on my kid, just had to trust on whoever came after 20 mins. And told me she was fine and they kept me waiting outside for another 10-15 mins. Not counting the waiting time prior to be called in, I would say 1.5 hrs waiting when we had an appointment.

The wait time is pretty bad. We had a 10am appt. Arrived on time, minutes to spare. We didn’t have masks so we waited in the car, we waited over 30 min, once called in I waited for my son in the car since we didn’t have masks, I had to call and see how much longer, coco really needs front desk training, but we left almost 11:30 am, he was just there for ortho. What’s the point of appointments?

My daughters treatment has been extended 6-12months due to poor scheduling and delaying treatment on part of the office. I am now told I have to pay an additional monthly payment for this. Ridiculous! This should be covered as we have gone out of our way to come in when your office is available and wait regularly 1-3 hours wait time to them have 5 minutes of work done to my daughter. We’ve had to deal with this for almost 3 years!!

Elia the office manager for Otho is extremely unprofessional and rude. I have been inquiring about a form that needed to be filled out months ago never got a call back. When I asked her in person today about the form, Elia spoke over me and in front of patients, and young children yelling and arguing with me about the reason she couldn’t call me back. Stating she was too busy. I then asked her when the form would be ready and when the doctor would be available to fill out the form. She looked at the schedule and then let me know the Orthodontist would be back in the office until the end of the month. Elia is very unprofessional. It seems like she doesn’t like her job and she’s unhappy to be at work. From her response, to her appearance. Elia is the type of employee that is lazy and definitely not willing to be of any kind of help. The office staff are rude and there’s a new Orthodontist every time you get seen.

Walked out of an appointment today after waiting over 45 minutes, and watching multiple people that came after me being called. Only after I inquired as to why I wasn’t being called, when I was on time did they call me back. Ended up rescheduling due to a meeting (after all I waited for almost Ann hour). I’ll try one more time, but another 1 hour wait and I’m off to find another dentist, there are too many options in the SCV to put up with bad service. And for the record it was not busy, there were like three people in the lobby, including me!

UPDATE: Corporate has been in contact and is willing to work with me on this problem. I've added one more star for now and I'll update the review once this issue has been resolved. PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING GETTING ORTHO TREATMENT HERE: I can't express how much I regret choosing this place for ortho treatment. They've replaced their doctors FIVE times in two years and each time my treatment plan changed. Now they say my treatment has gone over by a year and it will be $110 more per visit if I want to complete treatment. They just told me this last month and I'm supposedly over a year over my estimated treatment. That's what happens when you can't keep staff and the treatment plan is changed several times. Of course it's going to take longer. I paid $5,500 and now they want $880 to remove them. I'm filing a complaint with the state board of dentistry. Take my advice and steer clear of this place!!

I went there because I have to get some extractions done and they made it so easy for me to transfer over and the oral surgeon was nice enough to tell me that if they called my insurance company that I wouldn't be able to get all the extractions so unless I was in pain it would make more sense waiting for the referral so I could get them all extracted. Which makes way more sense to me than having to only get one or 2 and having to go back for the the other ones. So they said they would call me when they got the approval from my insurance company.

Walked in close to closing time with the wrong PCD and they called up my insurance and switched it for me so I could get treated same day. Natalie took my x-rays efficiently. I think she used a child sized oral podium for me because it was definitely less uncomfortable than the usual mouth xray. Doctor Andrabi told me that at the current rate I would grind my teeth to stubbs by the time I’m 40 which was sad but the truth hurts sometimes.

I was in need of finding a family kid friendly dentist after experiencing a handful of nightmare offices I’m blessed to have finally found this office . Went into the office today as a new patient with my 4 year old and was skeptical at first but just by walking in I could tell I was in good hands . I want to go out of my way and say Natalie was the best with my son ! He’s normally a shy and timid boy who’s scared of going to dentist and she had him talking and giggling the whole time. She definitely is the best there is, never have we ever been treated with such care and kindness he’s so eager to come back for his next appointment! Definitely recommend 1000/10 to bring your little ones and yourself to be seen here .

Every visit we’ve had, there has been a front office person who was unbelievably rude and seemed as though they hated their job. I was trying to hang in there, as the dentists are nice and there’s never been an issue with any of them, however we’ve had our last straw with the coldness of some of the front office personnel. Also, my son had a cavity filled and I overheard one of the assistants asking my 7 year old son “really? Really?”, in a very frustrated way as my son was scared and crying under anesthesia. Such people such NOT be allowed to work with children. Today my daughter was recommended for ortho. We will not be going back.

I had worst experience I have ever had in my life at a dental office. staff are extremely unprofessional, talk about personal political, beliefs, stereotype people and gossip in the office these people need to be more compassionate, work on being more friendly & educational when it comes to medical care and work on customer service and interpersonal skills! I’ve never felt so mistreated in my life we have filed with the dental bureau & considering a lawyer for lack of care. This is not the first time we been uncomfortable at the clinic but this will be the last. I never could understand how someone enters the medical field with such poor lack of intent to help people .

I read the reviews before going to Canyon dental group. Most were positive, but a few negative. I decided to give it a try for my new dentist. I'm happy I did. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Wait time to do xrays was about 10 minutes. I saw the dentists about 15 minutes after that. The waiting area had a lot of purple too. Everything was smooth, little to no wait time and everyone was so nice. It was a pleasure to go there and I will Make this my new dental office. I did not experience any of what those negative reviews mentioned! Excellent job to everyone at Canyon dental group!

I went in there for an impacted wisdom tooth along with my daughter, was advised before making the appointment that they offer anesthesia however they were not clear that they didn't offer sedation. The dr came in went through another issue that I have that I already know. Didn't ask me why I was there, told her assistant the treatment plane then went onto the next patient. There was 1 dr for God knows how many patients, she could care less why I was there, once I told her why I was there I was then advised they don't offer sedation. Dr. Andabi and Natalie Diaz were super professional and very kind I had a tooth pulled but they both did a great job and made it not such a terrible experience. There were red flags from the very beginning. I received 4 calls before the appointments asking me to reschedule. During my conversations, the staff couldn't pull up my dental chart and started naming patients names with my date of birth (which sounds like a HIPAA violation). After all the calls and the many conversations with various staff members, we scheduled three members of my family for today's visit. When we got there, one of the ladies in the front was rude. Beyond her attitude, the lady decided to "train" the rest of the team along with the whole waiting room and started naming our names loud enough for the whole room to hear. The waiting room heard names, primary on insurance, relationship to primary insured, etc., Which was unprofessional and also another probable HIPAA violation. When my daughter was called, a child, I was told I couldn't go back with her, which made me uncomfortable. Why wouldn't a parent be present to witness their child's dental experience?

This dental office are not transparent with pricing services provided. Hidden fees, until you arrive. Worse cleaning of my life. I paid for a deep cleaning and couldn't tell it was cleaned at All. I was rescheduled to come back to get my teeth polished for an additional $120. I paid $59 dollars for paying out of pocket and charged additional $180 for the cleaning. Total a cleaning is $360! I was told $60 over the phone. If this had a Zero star ? I would picked that option.

I don't know about you but I have a very uncomfortable feeling when I think of going to the dentist. My experience here was fast, efficient and as stress free as pulling teeth can be. They take walk-ins, medi-cal, and have in house financing. All of their staff from reception to their oral surgeons (only avail every other week) are very hospitable and professional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles, had all my questions answered and left with an appointment for the next day and a first time appointment packet to return with. At my subsequent appointments I waited less than 5 minutes to be seen each time. The entire process felt very clean, respectful and ultimately, I felt like I was in good hands. I definitely recommend going to canyon dental.

Where do I even begin, The Canyon dental group facility on Newhall has completely let me down they are more interested in making money off your insurance than the actual care of your teeth. Almost a 2 hour wait time with severe pain even though I had an appointment and arrived 15 minutes prior just to be told that I will be getting a prescription 2 hours later of waiting and my insurance does not cover a root canal. Asked if I can start a payment plan to start procedure even if my insurance does not cover like I was told last visit and nobody was able to provide me with assistance. It’s like I was too much of a disturbance for every person I dealt with and was told to just look else where that takes my insurance. I called the office after leaving and specifically asked to speak to the lady that explained a payment plan option with me the last visit and was told she was busy and would call me back. I waited and no call back. Terrible experience and will definitely look for another dentist with much better care and warn others of the terrible service I get here EVERY SINGLE TIME. Ladies I dealt with don’t care and are very rude. Seems to be some sort of discrimination because of the type of insurance I have. Extremely poor service. This place deserves ZERO stars.

They asked for me to let them know how can they improve, I would tell them to: Be kind, listen, sympathize, understand, explain have the decency to accept responsibility when you’re in the wrong don’t blame the patient for your mistakes. Just actually care about your patients and don’t treat them like their frustrations don’t matter. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a facility where the quality of care from the office manager to the Doctors only expressed arrogance and an ‘I can careless what you as a patient is going through’ This is how I was treated by this office except for one Doctor who I wish I could remember her name. The staff and the rest of the Doctors should take patient care lessons from her. Very sad and disappointing experience. The patient or individual must be respected and deserves quality care unfortunately this office lacked these key factors. Will be asking for my entire dental file to be transferred to another Dental office. I cannot stress enough how horrible this experience was for me. I’m just sorry I didn’t heed to other reviews (Google & Yelp) that had the same awful experience I had about lack of customer service, scheduling oral surgery before a consultation and blaming the patient for their error.

I’m so happy I found this office! My last Dentist (western dental on Lyons) was THE worst. This office has been a total 180°. I never have to wait longer than 15 minutes (if that) to get started. The whole staff, front desk, assistants, and the doctor are all super friendly and accommodating. The dentist gave me tips my other dentist never mentioned and made me feel very comfortable. I’m so glad I switched!

I wish I could give just 0 stars or something in negative. This is the rudest and greediest dental clinic I have ever seen in US. My wife got an appointment for tooth extraction and followed up with the clinic 3 times today to confirm the appointment and requested for estimate for the extract. Though she was told that email was sent with the estimate, she didn’t receive it at all. Since she was suffering with pain, we went ahead to the clinic. They gave estimate for tooth extract and lot of other ancillary services. My wife didn’t want to do other things they suggested today as she was already suffering with the pain. The moment we said we do only extract which cost us only $32, they said doctor is not available until Sept 20th. They prefer to do service only if we are ready to take their other services.which could get them more money.

I will never go back. I had an appointment and I waited almost 3 hours to be seen. The staff scheduled my appointment to have my teeth removed on 8.9.22 . I showed up for my appointment after fasting all night and I was told I had to have a consultation with the surgeon first after waiting 3 hours to be seen. The staff knew I was a new patient and never scheduled me an appointment for a consultation with the surgeon and did not tell me I had to see him first. I was then told it would be another two hours before my procedure would be done.

Make an appointment and wait for 2 hours. Stay with your child and watch what is being done. If you cancel on the same day, expect to be charged $250. Don’t pay before service completed. I could go on and on, but the bottom line for me is don’t take your child, or anyone you care about, to this dental office. And when you call to talk to the office “manager”, Elia, expect her to hang up on you when you tell her how they injured your grandchild.

I started in April of 2021 with aligners. I needed a refinement and it was requested in November 2021. After many many phone calls it was finally promised to be delivered April 2022. By that time I was moving and I had told them early February that this was the case. I was promised a refund which I never received. I am with Canyon Dental Group in Valencia, CA for almost 15 years. The quality of service of current management is EXTREMELY poor. The behavior of almost all of them are rude. They don't know how to talk with customers. They are inefficient on their work also, e.g. takes months to followup with insurance. They don't deserve to be in the front desk. I never experienced such an ill behaved manager also. The doctors and nurses are pretty good though. If it continues, will start thinking moving out of Canyon Dental at Valencia and seek for a different provider.

In the past, I haven’t had the best of luck with dental offices, due to feeling pressured and not having a connection with the dentist. I’ve grown to really love this office because of Dr. Ambreen Andrabi and the rest of the staff. She is awesome and she doesn’t sugar coat anything. She’s honest and genuinely cares about the oral health of her patients. You can just tell. Every time I come in Julio is always going above and beyond in patient care.The girls at the front desk are nice as well as the office manager. I have always hated going to the dentist but I finally found an office that is considerate about my dental office phobia. Rose is always gentle when doing my routinely cleaning and always makes sure I am comfortable during the process. I am a loyal customer for life.

This has been an issue for years. My son had an ortho appt last Tuesday. The wait time was over an hour. My husband asked why it was taking so long, there response was we are short staff. We have been there for years and this has always been the answer. If it was that bad they should have called us to reschedule. I also notice that they keep taking on new patients when they can't handle the ones they have. We have since changed general Dr. But ortho is still there because we already paid in full. Once done we will never go there again and we do not recommend this place to anyone. Staffing is a major issue and has been, way before covid ever happened. Some of the ladies in front are so rude and when my husband talked to the manager, asked her how they will fix this on going issue and she sounded very incompetent. She kept fumbling her words and DID NOT give any real answers to the questions. This is beyond any apology. They owe all their patients an answer on how they will fix this, not excuses. VERY Disappointing.

Worst experience with a dentist. Went to check my pain with my wisdom tooth and in the end they ended saying I need to get other work done first. Then later they said my insurance didn’t cover the wisdom tooth removal. I was furious because it did but all they care is to take your money. They don’t want to go with the hassle with your insurance company. I switch dentist the next day and my tooth was remove and it was cover by my insurance. Please don’t go to this place. They will try their best to take advantage of you so you pay something it’s cover. I’ve lived in Santa Clarita for 21 years and this was the worst experienced I’ve had. Scamming people is so bad and these guys don’t care. Find another dentist and stop giving away money to them even though your insurance will cover. They try to loop hole the system and scam patients.

Office is nice and staff are mostly nice, but the wait is way too long almost every time. They keep trying to talk me into getting braces for my son with every visit, but since in my opinion he has perfect teeth, I got a second opinion from a reputable ortho dentist, and he said my son doesn't need them! Also, every time we come in, my son is seen by a different dentist. That's too bad. I would love for my son to have a dentist he can trust and remember. But with a different dentist every time, that's not possible. There is no relationship! And finally, this last time my husband brought my son in, they had them wait long as usual, and as usual they took the time to have a discussion about braces (which means gobs of $$$ for them), and then they ran out of time to do the teeth cleaning, which is what my son came in for!!! So, my husband had to schedule yet another appointment which us a huge time waste, just because apparently the hygienist didn't want to stay 15 minutes extra to complete the job, in spite of my son showing up on time, the long wait and then wasted time on ortho talk! That's not cool!

Your office desperately needs to add an additional orthodontia day. It is too difficult for the staff and the patients (particularly during a pandemic) to cram all of your ortho patients into one day. Also, if this is something that you intend to do, you should alert your patients in advance of them signing up to receive ortho services through your clinic. Specifically, what it will mean with their appointment and wait times, given ortho is conducted on one single day per week. Thanks to the staff for making space for me today, but I feel this could all be avoided if you added more ortho days during the week.

Note: Check out the Yelp reviews on this place also... 8/31/21 See update below 8/26/21 We had a horrible experience here. Be aware that this office is actually a part of a much, much larger CORPORATE CHAIN OF DENTAL OFFICES called West Coast Dental. As such, don't expect the kind of personal service that you will get from a local dental office. My wife vetted a particular dentist and called to make an appointment. The appointments are made through their corporate company office - NOT through the local office (in fact, if you don't watch closely you will not notice that when you visit the Canyon Dental Group website and click on the Book Appointment button the name on the webpage will change to West Coast Dental but the page looks identical to the Canyon Dental Group page). She made the appointment by phone and requested to be seen by the dentist she chose. We filled out the forms in advance and she arrived at the office on time for her appointment. She was taken into the back and put in a dental chair where they proceeded to take xrays. After an hour of waiting in the chair with nobody telling her anything she finally walked to the front reception area and asked why she hadn't seen the dentist yet and mentions his name. They told her that they don't know who that dentist is. She would be seeing another dentist. And, they had not been able to get through to our insurance to get approval for her visit so she wouldn't be getting a cleaning that day. She would have to reschedule and come back! At that point I told the office manager, Kajal Madid, that we were going to find another dental office. She then told me we'd still have to pay for the xrays! I asked her why they took xrays if they hadn't gotten approval from our insurance. She fumbled out a lame excuse about doing it as a 'customer courtesy'. I asked her again for a real explanation (like they made a mistake and should have waited!!) but she wasn't having any of it. She absolutely refused to accept responsibility for their mistake and then refused to talk to me any more. The woman has ZERO customer service skills. I called the corporate customer service department (because clearly the office manager, Kajal Madid, at the local office wasn't going to do anything about it) and gave them a detailed report of the incident. I also told them that we and our insurance company should not be billed for the xrays and that we were going to go to another dental office. I was told the issue would be reviewed and I would receive a call within 4 days. I haven't heard from them yet. So, if you want personalized service, I DO NOT recommend Canyon Dental Group or West Coast Dental. UPDATE 8/31/21: I was told originally by customer service I would receive a callback about the problem in 2-4 days. No one contacted me. I called back today which has been 5 working days. My issue has not been resolved and they told me to wait another 2-4 days to hear from regional manager, Joseph (they said he's very busy). We'll see...

The last three visits, it’s taken on average 2.5 hours to be seen by both the dentist and ortho. In my most recent appointment I was seen as 3rd in line despite arriving 30 minutes early and signing in first. Previous to that, it took 30 minutes to be seen when arriving on time. The real issue that needs to be addressed is multiple appointments being set up during the same time frame. I’m assuming booking more patients = more money. Something needs to change with scheduling. It shouldn’t take me almost 3 hours for a dental or ortho appointment. It’s expected for any business and especially this office to respect people’s time.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesia. The procedure itself was done competently, quickly and without complications. Check in was respectful and efficient. However, the technician doing triage, who asked my history, allergies, etc., and who also turned out to attend and assist during the procedure, was rude and dismissive in that process and abrupt and unkind during the procedure. The doctor who performed my surgery was all business, but he did a terrific job and I have no complaints. Also, the place seemed well cleaned.

This place doesn’t even deserve a star. Dirty, is a dentist office, clean a little! They don’t clean the floor or chair. The dentist English is so bad, my son barely could understand what she was saying, rude service. They have so many people at the front, they repite the same thing one after another one. I took my son for regular visit, they offer sealing in his teeth, my insurance don’t cover all, the girls was so mean and rude make me feel a bad mother because I didn’t want to do it, she told do me to seal the one that insurance cover, I did that, Guess what, Im getting the bill because my insurance don’t cover, when I called the office they said it happened, well they should know before the treatment. Don’t go there, is no affordable place you could better with another dentist who’s English is good and there’s one or two people at the front and know what they are doing.

At first it was a good experience, arrived at my appt time and filled out paperwork. Getting my X-rays was good. It wasn’t until after the Dentist and Dental hygienist checked my teeth when things slowed down. I was left sitting at my chair, no follow up for a good 15+ minutes when I asked the front desk staff if my cleaning would occur shortly and was told that the person that needs to go over my insurance coverage was meeting with another patient...wasn’t sure what this was about as I would think my insurance would of been verified prior to my appt as this is what I was use to. Finally a hygienist shows up and starts the basic cleaning (she tells me that usually they wait until they are told if they can go ahead with the procedure, I’m thinking I have a good PPO and I know that my insurance covers a cleaning every 6 mos.I was there for a good hour and a half when the insurance verifier (she never gave me her name) goes over that my cleaning is covered (not that surprised) and that I will need 4 fillings done. This is news to me as the dentist did not say anything when he was with me.. was also told how much I would need to pay out of pocket... I politely declined and signed that I was aware of what was offered. I was not happy with the service as well as (What I felt) was an up-sale for work that was not needed. Again I have great insurance so the out of pocket was very minimal, however, to not have your Dentist go over any type of procedure prior to getting the info from the Ins Verifier... I’ll go back to seeing a private practice as they treat people better.

Both of our twins had a great experience at Canyon Dental. Sedation for extractions were required and I was nervous as they are only 7 years old. The nurses are very kind and everyone is very knowledgeable happy to answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend!

I scheduled a simple routine cleaning but left an hour later without said cleaning because the dentist recommended a night guard and peri-gel or something and wanted to check with my insurance before they started so I sat in a chair for 30 min waiting before I walked up and left. They tried to find another reason to bill me or my insurance without performing the standard routine service I went in for. Seems unprofessional to not even suggest that I’d have to wait, patients don’t have all day to wait around to be billed for other things they didn’t show up for. I will be going to another place with more regard for patient’s time. I also over heard the dentist speaking about how much they billed monthly/daily.

This dental office group deserves 5 stars. I was offered an emergency apoinmtment on a Saturday. The dentist was GREAT!!! He performed oral surgery to remove a rotten tooth, and he did a root canal on the adjecent tooth both housed under a 40 year old bridge that had to be cut off firsr. I felt no pain, and the bleeding was minimal. I was very nervous but they were very patient with me. I would recommend this dentist to my family and friends.

I have been coming to Canyon Dental in Valencia for a few years now. I’m happy with their level of care. They are thorough and have a lot of staff to help accommodate everyone in the office getting work done. I’ve had 2 crowns and a root canal completed. 4 more crowns to be done. Their pricing is very competitive. They will do in house financing if you can’t get approved through other options. I love my Dentist who always works on me. She is gentle. Explains what she is doing. They are VERY Covid conscious as well. So that’s a great peace of mind when having to get work done during a pandemic ? I would recommend them to anyone!

Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had. Customer service is extremely bad. I had an appointment, arrived and checked in, but was told that the Dentist in charged was not in or available. If the dentist wasn’t working, then why schedule a patient? Really wasted my time and energy.

Very unorganized and unprofessional office they don’t check your insurance or make sure they have everything they need until the day of and after they see you to just tell you that they were missing an authorization because the office did not do their job and have to end up being seen as a cash patient and having to pay out of your pocket while having insurance for a reason, I am very disappointed with this office.

Came for cleaning was told I would have to do a deep cleaning. I declined and the “insurance lady” said my prior dentist office had been “doing it wrong” all the years I was going to them when I requested a normal cleaning. Highly unprofessional to make this comment about another practice. Was told they could polish and scale my teeth as long as it was above the gum line. The hygienist came in and polished my teeth and said I was done. I then told her what I was told by the insurance lady and she said she’d have her come back in. The lady then proceeded to tell me they couldn’t scale my teeth and only polish, despite having told me they could above the gum line. I asked if this would be charged to my insurance as my biannual cleaning even though it was just polishing and she said “probably.” Cancelled my son’s pending appointment on the spot. Definitely a place that tries to upsell- they offered four different treatments to me and acted surprised when I didn’t agree to them on the spot.

It was a nightmare. They had to have 3 people take impressio s for my dentures. The first girl did 2 impressions. Then another did and she put so much plaster it poured down my throat. I had to stick my hand in my throat to pull it out. I couldn't breath. The assistant was so rude and acted like she did t do anything wrong. Then the dentist came in and took the i.pressions.Im still upset and traumatized over the treatment. I been waiting for my dentures sinc last october. They told me if I didn't like it go start somewhere else. I don't recommend this place at all.

They kept trying to get me to spend more than $6,000 on things I did not need and things my insurance covered. The office manager told me they don't pay attention to what the insurance companies say they will cover. They charge what ever they want even if the patient cannot afford it. They will make you feel horrible about not being able to pay and tell you to not come back and waste their time.

The worst dental office I’ve ever been in. An appointment was scheduled for 9am and I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment. I patiently waited over 1.5 hours, with my toddler and was not seen. I noticed that people who arrived after me, were seen promptly so I decided to leave. I was the only minority patient waiting, so I can’t help but wonder if the excessive wait time was due to my race. Anyway at 10:50 am I received a call from their office stating they are ready to see me; no thanks, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Brought my granddaughter in for a toothache. She is 9. I was told they would call me back after the x-rays were done. I understand with covid too many people etc. My problem is they told her by herself she had to have a tooth pulled without me there!! She screamed and cried and ran out to me in the waiting area. What were they thinking? She obviously was a child and obviously already had anxiety about being there. We walked out she will get the procedures done at another dentist.

It's impossible to find a perfect dental office. I've had several bad experiences in the PAST with over diagnosing and over charging me for services. This office did not strike me as one of those- Thank you!!! The Dental back staff was friendly and reassuring regarding my 5 year old's services. The pedodontist, Dr. S was trustworthy regarding her clinical findings. She went out of her way for my take care of my son's teeth. The treatment coordinator went out of her way to make it all happen in an expeditious and professional manner. I don't think they had my son scheduled for treatment, but they made it happen. The wait is long due to they booked to many patients at the same time. First visit for X-Ray and want basic cleaning but they refuse to do it but recommended deep cleaning which will cost $420 instead of free for basic cleaning. Wait almost an hour to get X-Ray and another 30 minutes see doctor for examination. When I refuse to do deep cleaning they just do the polishing which took less than 5 minutes for the lousy polishing. This is my Delta Care plan through Kaiser Senior Advantage Plus . If you could change to PPO plan pay a little more but you have more dental group to choose. I will change mine to PPO plan.

Stay away from this place . It’s all about charging medical or any other insurances , They don’t care how you look at the end . And can easily with all insurance to get you there , get you to spend $thousands . I walk into this place with no pain , They wanted to remove 5 teeth and didn’t care that I don’t have any pain on them , and yes I know the condition of them , but it been like that for years . And still no pain or discomfort . I did needed a Tooth filling , which I been told from them I can go to cvs and buy a temporary filling paste . Long story short they going after making money .. not what will work for you , your budget , or that’s priority to you , or very important to treat right now .

They told my 5yo daughter that she needs 5 crowns. Hopefully the insurance company didn’t approve it or they even didn’t send the request there. At another dental office we got the fillings with only one crown. The health of kids is not a business.

Zero stars. I have made two Saturday appointments this year, one today and one six months ago. On both occasions, the dentist never showed up and as a result my appointments were cancelled. If you can go anywhere else, it's in your interest to do so. If you've been assigned here, like me, you've no other choice. Office staff is polite but disinterested, and if their instructions are not followed to a T or you dare ask how much longer the wait will be they will become dismissive. Be prepared for cancelled appointments, long wait times, and to be sold services and dental procedures that you don't really need. Get a second opinion on any primary opinion that is generated within these walls--their favorite move is: "You need X, Y, and Z TODAY--no, Denti-Cal doesn't cover it so it's two grand."

The worst dental office I have ever experienced. I paid $60 for their office insurance and was taken to a room for X-rays. I was then told that all of their other machines were down and I would have to reschedule for my cleaning. Okay. As I waited for my exam, the Doctor was late arriving and while she examined the patient across the hall from me, they had a loud conversation about politics. I found that very unprofessional and decided to leave. When I requested a copy of my X-rays,I was told that it would cost me $25. Remember that I had just paid the $60 for X-rays, cleaning and exam. I only had X-rays taken. Crooks! And very unprofessional.

$59 cleaning is a joke. 2 hours of filling out paperwork and taking xrays followed by a 5 minute exam by the dentist. The hygienist then comes back and recommends a $150 cleaning. You basically pay $59 for a glorified brushing that they refer to as “polishing”. Worst cleaning I’ve ever had.

Be careful. Dentist left sizable wizdom tooth shard and sewed the tooth back into my mouth cavatie. After 4 days of saltwater and swishing it slips through the threads and clashes agaisnt my mouth making me think I lost another tooth. Currently worried on if they left shrapnel in the other 3 cavaties. Really didnt think I'd have a problem with this as I don't like to complain. But this has to be a safety hazard. Or malpractice of some sort. What if my skin healed over this sharp piece of tooth. Then need a real surgeon to perform surgery again!!!??

They are a friendly group of people but they are slow as molasses around this office I think it’s due to the fact they only have one actual dentist there to work on the patients. So she jumps from room to room to try to be attentive to all the patients but in doing so she leaves other patents half finished and waiting for her to come back to finish her work. They need to figure out a better system cause as of right now we’ve been here since 9 am it is now 1:08 and counting so I have spent half of an 8 hr work shift here watching the dentist jump back and forth it’s just not not very professional

I live out of town visiting my sister when I started to have pain in my jaw. she wanted to go to Canyon Dental in Valencia. i was afraid of the cost When they explained it was $59 for x-rays, exam & cleaning. I thought it was too good to be true... she stated it was a gum infection ,took care of the problem , gave me a rinse to use & the next day was pain free , I'm going to drive the extra miles to come here from now on. This is gonna be a kinda long play by play, but I habe never had an experience like this and am absolutely taken aback by how I was treated. I made an appt to be seen for an exposed bone (from an extraction) that has been a painful problem for a month now. Wait time was a little over an hour. Finally get back there, the assistant was a doll. He was very helpful and CAREFUL during xrays and the whole visit. The general dentist comes in, takes a look, and tells me it's a well healed. So, confused, I am asking her why it hurts so bad and why I can feel the bones protruding. She looks again and scraps at my teeth (and the bone) and says it is my jaw bone. I ask why I have had pieces breaking off for the past two weeks and she says "I dunno, I wasn't there". So, I go back to the bone, saying I could feel it at that exact moment. You can tell she is getting frustrated, I am just trying to understand why my mouth is messed up. The assistant goes to show her the xrays but she tells him to grab a mirror. She tells me to hold it and sticks her dental mirror in and is asking me "where is it? Wheres the bone at then?" Then again she says it's my jaw bone and that a surgeon could file it back some and storms out. Enter the surgeon. We go over the same thing. He begins to explain to me what is happening but in a really rude way. "The tooth is removed from a SOOOOCKET, that surrounds this CRRRAAATER." As if I am a child. Then I ask why it's causing such deep pain and explain that the bone isn't healing over. He proceeds to tell me to "let it heal over" (umm.... Its been like this for a month) and automatically goes to exclaim "I'm not giving you narcotics!" As in, that's what I was there for... I go to say "I'm not here for those." And he cuts me off at "I'm not..." By saying it again. No suggestions besides to "just let it heal over". No help with a healing mouth rinse, no antibiotics to keep away infection... He immediately jumps to narcotics... I dunno about you but I certainly don't like someone assuming I'd go and pay a dentist x amount of money just to get drugs. I needed help and this whole experience was horrible. Not to mention the Dr/nurse who was loudly talking about how a patient of hers was "being a di*k". The front desk ladies were nice and helpful. And the assistant was just superb, but I would not suggest going here. Super unprofessional. I am on vacation with my children and was trying to find a helpful treatment to stop experiencing my pain and enjoy our time here. Not waste my time and money with a dentist who treated me like a child and assume I was there for narcotics, and then not provide a treatment plan to follow up with.

This office is Sooo AMAZING!!!! If I could I would give them more stars. I have never been to an office where they truly care about you as a person not a number. The front office was so helpful to help me be fit in to their busy schedule. When I first went in I thought these people must be on something to be so nice and helpful. Then I met their office manager Fiorella she was so nice and helpful with explaining my treatment and cost. She even offered me payment plans to help with my out of pocket. The dental staff here is good but the billing department is not so good. I went there and was pre approved by my dental insurance to pay a partial amount for dental work. Months later, I started receiving bills from Canyon Dental Group. I went in there to inquire. I was told there was a communication error in the amount that was pre approved. Now I am responsible for a balance. This seems deceptive to me.

They are compassionate and respectful. Great attitudes. Very clean. 10/10 this is my forever spot. Dr.robert Is amazing, he explains everything throughly from what he sees to what hes doing. And how to maintain a better smile all around. The front receptionist (esp fieo) are amazing! Smiling, helpful and have sense of humor and humility. Not robot esk people. I left here SMILING for the first time in awhile with my teeth. Thank you so much!

Switching dentists after the failed to submit referrals for emergency dental work for 6 months. I called both them and the insurnace repeatedly. Besides that the Dr who was assigned to me was very rude, curt and wouldn't even attempt to do anything even though other drs in the office were able to without issue or at least try. I do have specific medical needs but I made sure they would be able to handle them before picking them as my dentist and I just feel conned. I wouldnt have cared if they were unable to help if they reffered me to people who could (which they said they would but never did). So now im in the exact same emergency dental state as i was in october because they didnt do what they said they would. Again if they were just upfront I would have been able to switch to someone else instead of being dragged along. The staff was always nice and cordial and I think if you have simple issues they can handle it but if anything is our of the norm they are unable to help. Would not recommend

Poor communication. I asked if the procedure was authorized with my insurance, they said yes but they were gonna confirm one more time. Told me the medication might not be covered but payment could be split in two, I told them to let me know right away. Someone comes in to give my son the medication, assuming it was approved i didn’t think anything of it. One minute later a lady from the from comes and says it wasn’t approved and that it’ll be 300$ but I can pay half now. At the end of the treatment when I asked to be billed instead, they tell me if I didn’t want to pay they could of done a different medication instead. THEY DID NOT GIVE ME THIS INFORMATION BEFORE HAND, otherwise I would have immediately gone with the medication my insurance covers. Absolutely uncalled for. Will not be going back.

Wait time is absurdly long. My appointment was at 4:00, I wasn’t actually treated until 5. The receptionist actually told me it would be 15-20 minutes to be seen. What is the purpose of appointments? I had xrays, then was told to sit in a regular chair while they clean the room. This place is always running behind on everything. The cleaning was sloppy and rushed. The out of pocket expenses are outrageous. Everyone is running around like they don’t know what they’re doing. I will not be coming back unfortunately. Disorganized from the start, my appointment time was changed twice and I had to call and confirm. My health information should have been in black and white. Very disorganized. Sad to watch.

After years of them calling and leaving messages that I never returned I answered one of their calls and asked them to stop calling because I’m not returning to their office. So, apparently telling them to no longer call you means they can change to mailing you “reminders”. PSA if I or my children haven’t been to your office in YEARS that probably means we found somewhere else to go that doesn’t over schedule appointments to make wait times astronomical AND then add extras to your procedures and tell you that insurance doesn’t pay for what you “need”. In reality insurance does cover majority of what was needed but that didn’t help your end of year bonus check.

Horrific. Took my 2 sons today for first appointment, I was scheduled for my first an appointment tomorrow. It took OVER 1 1/2 hours for them to take even 1 of the boys to the back, and then after the xrays was ANOTHER 20 minutes for “dr” to come in and any cleaning to start. Then the cleaning for both kids was not remotely comprehensive and far beyond subpar to say the least ( falling well below the standard of care) and only lasting a couple of minutes. This place is assembly line medicine at its absolute worst. Now I still have to take boys to a dental office that will actually clean their teeth and do the work rather than just run them through the system like a heard of cattle waiting for HOURS just to collect the insurance payment ( and it’s PPO in’s. nonetheless ). Needless to say I cancelled my appointment and will NEVER allow anyone in my family immediate or extended go there. They deserve negative stars. I thought they would be like the Canyon Dental in Corona off Compton Ave. where we were for the last 5 years, so when we moved we went here, however... they are a disgrace and not remotely close to the quality we are used to and truly fall below the standard of care in all areas configuring the dds requirements. Never again ! Go anywhere else...

Such great service. Dr. Robert and Lita took great care of me and were very patient with me. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time and made sure I was pain free during the procedure. The office manager explained everything to me and kept checking on me to make sure I was ok. Thank you Canyon Dental making me feel better. I highly recommend this office.

They dont treat low income patients. They just give them a crazy bill estimate they cant pay for so they leave. Dentical- they don't provide any services if you don't get all their recommendations. Low income people beware this place. Waste of time. I also went to ucla and they told me that I didn't need the procedures they recommended me cause I'm not in pain.

Don't waste your time! (Literally!) I had an appointment there this morning at 10am for a light cleaning for my son and I. We were new patients so I expected the paperwork and a little bit of a wait time... no problem! However, at 11:40 on the dot, an hour and 40 mins after my appointment time, they tell me to come back later for my cleaning because it will be a long time! I told her I already wasted enough time here, there is NO WAY I'm coming back when my appointment was at 10. What's the point of making appointments if you're just going to turn away your patients after you've kept them waiting for an hour and 40 minutes???? The only positive was that the x-ray tech and front desk staff were nice.

This place is terrible! RUN! They're shady like so many other reviewers stated. They WILL lie just to take your money. They will make appt that they don't keep. They're completely unprofessional at the front desk as well as in the back. They're so shady that I signed a contract with them based purely on lies and they're allowing me to break the contract so that they don't get sued! The large lady in the finance dept is horrible! Zero customer service and is even snappy with the doctors and staff! Oh, and unless you want your appt time to take 4 HOURS from start to finish...STAY AWAY!!!

The reviews on here are pretty accurate, from the unprofessional front desk staff acting like their having a party at home, unorganized and not that pleasant at all. The first thing they ask is do you have insurance, you could be dying in front of them and they wouldn't notice. This whole practice is one hot mess... I'm so mad from waiting and wasting my time, I'm on the verge of walking out. Whatever happened to professional businesses? Even the patients in the waiting room are unruly, mind you these are adults...the countdown is on till I walk out.. never even been seen...first bad impression, certainly my last visit.

So far everyone sounds pretty cool - I hope it will continue on that way for me with the ins I have and the work I need to have done - it is a nightmare trying to find a good dentist- periodontist and oral surgeon for under 4k!!!! I do not like going to the dentist ever but - i have to to save my teeth!!! Oy - let us pray please!!! I surely need it!!! I will write a review after I go but am happy to have found these people for sure and I found through 1-800- DENTIST who are to me - the best!!!!! IF the dentist does not meet you standards call 800-DENTIST and they will look into and take them off in a hot minute as they have a good rep to hold onto. So - I am optimistic!!! :)

I like them because to my experience with the waiting time was not too bad. After been there the second time with my 3 kids I was told my 6 year old needed 7 baby root canals... I was in shock. they said some of her fillings fell off but I was still able to see them. They said my 15 year old had an issue with his gums and needed medication but when I asked for the prescription they would not give me it, they said I had to buy it from them and I would have to pay $150 dollars. Almost same story with my third child. Needles to say I didn't buy any medication. I went and got a second opinion. I did not mention anything to the new doctor, I needed to know what he had to say and it turns out my 6 year old doesn't need any root canals and he had no problem giving me a prescription for my son. The feeling of feeling taken advantage of is horrible :(

Unfortunately I was here on kids day (children give me anxiety) which is Monday but Dr A was very sweet and knowledgeable and was able to start the process of fixing my teeth (many issues bc I have avoided the dentist for like 5 years). The biggest issue I had was the price I am going to have to pay which was 2,400 with insurance for a deep cleaning a couple fillings and an extraction. The pricing is probably near the same everywhere but I just do not understand how average or low income people are supposed to afford dental care these days.

Absolutely the worst! My wife had an appointment at 4pm and after waiting two and a half hours for a cleaning they said she had to wait another 30 minutes before they could see her. They said the wait was longer because she was a new patient. Absolute bullshit!!! Don't ever set foot in this place if you value your time because they certainly don't. Never again will we go there.

First time here I take my son to have his teeth cleaned. I make an appointment for 330 I get there at 315 to fill out paperwork and finish at 335. At 430 we haven't seen anyone and are told there's just one more person the dentist is with before us! If I had an appointment at 330 why am I waiting an hour to be seen? What's the point of an appointment? We left and won't be back.

I have been going to Canyon Dental Group for about 10 years and it has always been a good experience for me. The staff has always been very kind and professional and have always explained in detail any procedures that you may have to have done. I like the flexible hours when you have to work 8 to 10 hours a day. The office is always very clean with state-of-the-art equipment. I would recommend this dental office to everyone.

Waiting time took almost 2 hours to get a treatment. Regan doesn't give you a opportunity to get credit or a monthly payment plan. She ask for money for the treatment and doesnt go thru your insurance. This place is shady and don't waste your time or money.

The people are extremely friendly. The wait time was very reasonable. Under 10 minutes. The dentist took my financial situation into consideration and offered alternatives that fit my budget and timing. I had two root canals done. One was a re do from another dental office that missed one of the roots. The other was a normal root canal. Both of the teeth had previous Crowns and she was able to save both of them. Both turned out excellent and that's really the most important part of this review.

I hadn't been to a dentist in over a decade and Canyon was the primary care location my insurance set - I have been really pleased. I was able to get in and see them very quickly, they took good care of me, have fixed all my neglected teeth with great results. I feel better, I look better, and I am happy.

Horrible there is a reason they have a 1 star review and people say its bad service. Take forever, they have 'specialists' come in for 'simple' procedures racking up a giant bill. Not only that, they made a mistake on their end, said they would waver a certain bill, never held up to it and sent it to collection after never sending us a bill.

HORRIBLE service, ALWAYS over booked, wait takes forever. NO bed side manner, the first visit was marginal at best. The orthodontist told us that our daughter was "To difficult" and that he cant work on her any more, mid treatment and left. so we left. they are horrible with kids. Been here since my dad brought me in as a kid thinking it would be a cheap steal for braces. Came out with permanent damage to my upper teeth from extensive tension and pressure made by doctors during my braces treatment. I would be left in the dentist chair for hours waiting for someone to assist me while hearing the doctors laughing and stuffing their faces just feet away from the working space. AND after my treatment was finished I had moved dental and ortho offices just to get my teeth checked and was told I had to receive braces YET AGAIN because Canyon dental group can not do anything right. I gave them another chance thinking it’s been 6 years since that traumatic experience and that they could be better. NOO. They are just as awful. I came in to get rid of a permanent retainer that had fallen/ broke loose from 4 teeth to where the permanent retainer was just stuck on 2 teeth. I was told they would not be able to remove it without making me get a new retainer (for $999) to avoid shifting although my teeth are currently vulnerable to shifting either way since it is only stuck on 2 Teeth. I then asked for them to just glue the loose pieces back on and they refused without giving an actual reason as to why. This business has always had shady behavior and seems to be incredibly unethical in the way they handle business/practice and care for their clients or patients. I would honestly give them a NEGATIVE star review as they continue to be money hungry and inhumane vultures after many years. GO ANY WHERE ELSE you won’t regret it.
