I have a fear of dentist offices that usually makes my visits far and few between (every handful of years). I had pulled out some old fillings with chewy candies and needed to go in for the pain. Absolutely every single person there, from start to finish, made me feel so comfortable and didn’t make me feel bad for anything. It’s about a 40 minute drive for me, but I’ll absolutely go nowhere else. I got to wear my headphones, they checked in with me constantly and allowed me breaks. I just got my permanent crown put in and my lips hurt but I forgot my chapstick. They offered me a cute little watermelon chapstick. ? such a sweet office.

We came here because of the great reviews. The front office staff were nice. The open office concept with different technicians performing different dental tasks in lieu of the dentist really takes away from the continuity and dentist involvement in your care. You rarely see the same person twice, which in some cases is a good thing. The open office concept also allows you to hear discussions about other people's dental issues/care as well as personal conversations and even unprofessional comments or attitudes. It's not a place I would recommend. **Sorry, yes this is the correct dental office.
I'm sorry you had a less than wonderful experience on your visit, but I think you have the wrong business. What you are describing doesnt match our office. There is a business with a very similar name nearby. Can you kindly remove this mistaken review?

From the moment I called to set up new customer appointment, all the way to payment, just above and beyond. I told the lady I was having severe pain, she got me an appointment the very next day. The hygienist and anesthesiologist that worked with me were very gentle, and took their time. The hygienist was extremely informative and forthcoming. It's also an amazing place to go for all family needs; from my toddlers to my parents, they take great care in all of their needs. I can't say enough great things about this place. But to be more specific and what really means the world to me is how well they took care of my dad. He had to have teeth replaced and Dr Nichols perfected his teeth replacement process. She was honest with how long it would take, she was upfront with cost, and if the coloring or matching or fit of the partial was not perfect, she made sure it was! Best dentist in town! We have lived in Flower Mound for 20 years, and have been to several dentists. We finally ended up here, and will never leave. The office staff is very customer-focused, and the environment is relaxing. Dr. Nichols is so very sweet and gentle. If I had it to do all over again, I would’ve taken my kids here instead of a pediatric dentist. If I had to do over again, I would’ve taken my kids here instead of a pediatric dentist. For years I have feared going to the dentist. I’ve had a lot of awful experiences, one recently being at another local office. I experienced nothing but great things at this office. My dental hygienist Bethany was exceptional. You meet people in life who you know are in the perfect profession, and that is absolutely the case with her. She is knowledgeable and reassuring! The entire office is kind and happy! I had extentsive work done... one sitting being almost two hours. Anyone who has spent two hours in a dental chair knows it feels like 12 hours! Not here, Dr. Nicols and her staff made sure I was comfortable. I was given a pillow, a blanket and Bluetooth headphones so I could listen to a podcast to pass the time. Through the entire process she checked my comfort level with a thumbs up. Billing was clear and concise, no surprises. I would recommend this office to anyone. Family included. Thank you Dr. Nicols and staff!!

If you are looking for a dentist that you can rely on for years to come with a small friendly staff then I highly recommend this place. I've been going here for about 8 or 9 years. A few years ago I had to have an emergency root canal. I had a crown from a previous dentist. They were able to perform the root canal without having to remove my crown. That saved me a lot of money and time. I am not surprised this place has so many good reviews.

I wish I could give more stars to rate Family Smiles Dental. I used to hate going to the dentist as-there were no familiarity, no connections with the staff and sometimes they were just plan rude and acted like they did not want to be at work. BUT, I accidentally found Family Smiles Dental one day. I needed something done with my wisdom teeth. I had cancelled the appointment to have the removed 4 times because I was terrified. Dr. Nichols reassured me it would be no problem and there was nothing to fear. She referred me to an amazing surgeon and all is better. She is the best dentist I have ever had and she explains everything from each tooth in my mouth to the nerves and what everything does. Bethany, the hygienist, is amazing at what she does. She is careful and concerned and explains everything she is doing as well. Step by step they let you know what is happening. I have never found this in a dentist office. Now the front staff. Minnie is so sweet. I love it when she calls me to make sure I know when my appointment is. I love everything about this office and I am sad to be moving to Florida in a few weeks. If I had all the money in the world. I would fly back for my checkups just so I wouldn't have to change to a different dentist.
