Affectionately known as Dr. H by those he treats, Dr. Hashemi is a seasoned orthodontist who pairs his comprehensive expertise with a genuine passion for dental health. A proud alumnus of Drexel University, he graduated with high honors earning a BS in biology. His academic journey led him to Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry where he not only achieved a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree but also emerged as a standout graduate, ranking within the top ten of his class.
Furthering his specialization, Dr. Hashemi honed his craft at Seton Hill University's Center for Orthodontics. There, he was bestowed with specialty certification in Orthodontics, a Master of Science degree in the field, and an MBA to complement his clinical acumen with business insight.

As soon I called to schedule an appointment for my son, the office staff made the process so simple and smooth to get ready for the visit. As we arrived to the practice, we were greeted by the front desk lady with a smiling face. The doctor was there at the front talking to the lady, welcomed us as well with a big smile. they took x rays and took us to a room where the doctor took plenty of time to explain in every detail and simple words my son's orthodontic issues and all the different options we had. But in the meantime, he was so helpful to help us choose the best option for my son. In general, I can't find the words to describe how happy and satisfied by choosing this practice.Overall, I can assert that this was the best experience I have had at a Doctor office or practice either for my self, my wife or my 4 kids combined. I would definitely recommend Altera if you are looking for honest, professional treatment for your orthodontic needs.

Altera Orthodontics is such an amazing office! Not only is Charlene at the front desk so sweet, patient and accommodating but the resident orthodontist, Dr. H, is beyond thorough and well equipped to deal with a multiple of issues involving one’s teeth. This is the second ortho I’ve brought my daughter to. She had many things going on with her teeth that needed to be addressed. The first orthodontist office we went to seemed like they were “experimenting” with her teeth. Her hardware was always coming off, appointments took forever, she was constantly getting poked in the gums or cheeks with the wires on her braces but all of these issues subsided after we transitioned to Altera and I’m so glad we did!!

I never had braces as a kid and when I met Dr. Hashemi at a community egg hunt I decided to look into it. Dr. H set me up with Invisalign and each visit he keeps me informed about my progress and the next steps. He is always friendly and willing to answer questions. There is no hard sell like with some orthodontists. My kids already had round 1 of braces elsewhere but I will be taking them to Dr. H for round 2 when they are ready.

If the way Dr.H treats total strangers is any indication of how well he treats his patients, I only wish we had gone to him a year and a half ago when our daughter had hers removed. We were selling GS cookies in front of his office in Royersford this past weekend, and he not only came out of his office to personally introduce himself and offer his waiting room to us whenever it got too cold outside, he went above and beyond. He purchased hot chocolate for not only my daughter and I, but several troops that were selling there before & after. A kind and considerate person and I have never ever encountered this kindness in the 12 years we have been doing Cookie booths. Never! Dr.H rocks!! His beautiful office, wonderful personality, and professionalism I will recommend to young & young at heart who may need braces.
