Been coming here for years! Dr. Adames is amazing! Not sure what she does different, but by far the most painless treatments I’ve had. And i’ve had a lot of different procedures done here: implants, crowns, fillings, root canals, tooth extraction. My teeth were pretty bad cause I avoid dentist as much as possible before coming here. Now I never miss my regular appointments.

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed here. Honestly the best dentist i’ve ever been to the staff are so caring and the doctor truly knows what she’s doing. The recovery was as expected not to painful though. So glad I came here and will be returning.

I’ve had several concerns with this dental office. They consistently offer services beyond what insurance typically covers, which I understand can happen, but the way they approach it feels overly aggressive. Before finishing a procedure, while I’m still in the dental chair, they bring out the card machine and ask for payment immediately. This is extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. I also have doubts about the quality of care. At my last visit, I was told I had six cavities and ended up needing a deep root canal, which seemed unusual since I’ve never had that many issues before. My husband also had his wisdom tooth removed there and still experiences pain. During his procedure, the doctor mentioned the surgery might not have gone as expected, which made us feel uneasy about her confidence and overall professionalism.

This woman is SAVING my teeth. Due to various medical conditions (both mental and physical) multiple medications I take cause severely dry mouth. My teeth were decaying like meth-mouth warp speed. Dr Adames counseled me on how to stop or at least address the issue to slow down the decay. This office is run like a well-oiled machine. I get all my dental work there - from cleaning to more serious crowns and stuff. This is the place I was referred to as a doctor of dental surgery who A) uses sedation B) who also takes Denti-Cal. For kids with autism/ASD/sensory issues, this place is a godsend. I would have lost several teeth by now if it weren’t for her. EDITED to add: Dr. Adames does various dental surgery things like root canals & wisdom teeth removal with nitrous oxide. I think she is a total artist and perfectionist when it comes to crowns, though. Be advised : the dentist speaks 3 languages = Spanish, English and Portuguese. She’s honest and works with you, budget wise - meaning she will only do the most pressing work first and hold on off things that don't require immediate attention so you can save up. Multiple times, they’ve made quick alterations or gave me bonus services, gratis. So glad I found them.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I walked in and they immediately checked me in, I’m a pregnant patient and I never felt so comfortable at a dental office. A lot of dentist offices are intimidating but everyone was super sweet and professional here. I got a teeth cleaning done and they explain everything that was going on and eveyone is bilingual which is beneficial for English/Spanish speaking! Wow! Such an amazing experience getting my wisdom teeth out! I was so nervous, but I felt zero pain, felt so safe, and even now 6-7 hours later there’s hardly any swelling! I had my wisdom teeth removed and it was a pleasant experience. I only had two to get removed, so the extraction didn't take long. In addition, I felt no pain during it as the anesthesia worked great. Definitely recommend getting your wisdom teeth removed here!

Came in to get a tooth pulled out and was asking the girl assistant me about what I wanted to be done and another older lady interrupted me by giving me attitude about my insurance like if my bill was going to come out of her pocket. Called in as a new patient and they immediately scheduled me for later in the week. I got a call back and they said that they were not going to be accepting my insurance in 30 days so they wouldn’t be able to promise a follow up appointment if they found anything. I just wanted a basic cleaning and told them not being able to follow up wouldn’t be an issue. She then decided to tell me that they aren’t accepting new patients at the moment, after they were more than happy to schedule me before they found out who my provider was. I understand that they don’t want to commit to all the paper work for a new patient but that doesn’t sound like a good customer service oriented location.

I called Dr. Renata Adames for a chipped tooth. Before I go any further a bit of history. We have known Dr.Adames for over 15yrs. She was my dentist when she was in Santa Maria. When she moved to Newport I drove the 3.5hrs for her to work on my teeth. Now we live in Moreno Valley so no more 3.5hr drive. Dr.Adames knowing I dont do well with dentist. The 1st time she treated me was the 1st time anyone explainded what they was going to do. Now back to my worse then I thought chipped tooth. She got me in today and was welcomed by front staff. She repaired my 2 teeth and staff was very helpful and friendly. If your looking for that 1 special dentist that well take the time to explain what's going on and how to fix it then you need to call her office right away... Thank you all for today.. For us cry baby's she well take good care of us and you.... Give the office a call....dont wait.,..

I can’t begin to tell you enough how great Newport Smiles is. I’ve been a patient of Renata Adames for about 5 years now and will never switch to a new dentist. Not only is she fantastic, but her whole staff is wonderful. I feel taken care of at all times and even in emergency situations, she always makes a way to fit me in her busy schedule. In terms of the work she does, it’s top-notch. Her technique in the way she gives numbing shots makes it near painless. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment. A++++

I have been going to Dr. Adames for over 10 years. My trust on her is incomparable. I had lots of problems on my teeth including crowns, feeling, veneers, you named! Also I have always being very nervous over dental treatment but with her knowledge, expertise and care she helps me feel better and control my anxiety. She relocated and I still follow her because she makes it worth it. I am really happy with the high quality of treatment I receive in my mouth. During her diagnose and treatment explanations I never felt pressured on doing anything I didn’t want done on my teeth. I was always offered options and time to decide how to proceed.
