I did my research on the All on X before I came to the Sugarland smile center. I came in for my first consultation and the whole staff was amazing and very very nice so I decided I would let them do my dental work because I always been afraid of the dentist. They made me feel so comfortable when I had my implants done. My whole experience was excellent, they made sure that I was comfortable as possible and you will definitely loose weight during your journey! But I love that just as well, there was very little pain to no pain and that's was just when I first got them in a day or two but no problems so I feel and look good at the same time. I love it and felt like I got two in one!

I went to get 2 teeth pulled and I was in and out no issues maybe an hour there max but the teeth removal took only minutes (or at least that how it felt) with no complications what’s so ever. After years & years of traumatic experience(s) with many dentists, Dr. Ashok Kota & team made me feel extra comfortable. Something strange is going on with this office. Not to mention fowl odor which is a turn off for going to a dentist. Doctor didn’t give any insights to current dental state. Only talked about procedure and pressured to move forward quickly. I cancelled appointment and asked for dental records. See response below. Edit: per the Texas Administrative Code, Title 22, Part 9, Chapter 165.2, the maximum allowable charges for providing copies of my dental records are as follows: - Paper copies: $25.00 for 1-20 pages, and $0.50 for each page over 20 pages. - X-rays and other imaging: Actual cost of reproduction. - Electronic copies of X-rays: $25.00.
We offer free consultation, x-rays, and CT scan for our patients. Other offices do charge for these services (upto $450). When someone wants to get a copy of x-rays to get treatment at another office, we do charge a nominal fee for the records (to cover our expenses) and this fee is generally less than the fee if pt has to pay at other offices.

Customer service great, Dr. Kota gives good proposal but he does not listen to the patient, I went in asking for caps or bonding until I was able to afford the work that needs to be done and so that I would be able to eat and he ignored my question and now a not even a week later the tooth has completely cracked and has come out, if he would have just listened and bonded the 2 teeth I wouldn't be in worse pain than I was and would be able to eat. So weight loss here I come due to not being able to chew on either side of my mouth

Do not go to this office and waste your time. Had a free consultation set up on my day off. Waited over an hour. The office manager attempted to contact my insurance company. She indicated that she could not find me in the system. Contacted the insurance company. They said you are in the system. After a week of not getting any call I contacted the office manager. She said that their office connection was down. Waited since to be contacted. Nothing had happened. Stay away. I would give it - 1000 rating.

******UPDATE: I finally had my 2 front teeth crowns made. I went in and got my temporary crowns, and you do not know how happy and confident I feel!! Dr Kota and All the staff are wonderful!!! *******^^ I met Dr Kota and his staff today. I have always been self conscious about my smile ever since I’ve had missing and broken teeth. Also the fact that I’ve had previously had bad experiences with other dental groups. But after today’s appointment, I have felt that a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. And pretty soon I will be showing off my smile again!! Of course, I have major work to be done. But Evelyn, the treatment coordinator and Dr Kota, did not bombard me with outrageous prices, or a lot of overwhelming information. They kept it real. What I loved is that they printed a copy of my panoramic X-ray, (something that other dental groups wouldn’t do) so when I consult with an endo or oral surgeon for my extraction, they won’t order a new one and try to charge me again. Can’t wait for my appointment in January to recover my smile. By the way, I’m definitely referring my family to his practice!

I had a great experience here. After a root canal I had elsewhere went bad and didn’t heal, I was hesitant to seek out help but I knew I needed an implant. Staff were very professional n nice. The doctor were also very professional about the process and explained each and every option for me. They explained the pricing very clearly. The clinic is very clean and nice. I was told that the visit was complimentary while booking my appointment but they asked for my dental insurance and DL during my visit. Other than that they also check to show you options for finance. The good thing is they don't force you. I would definitely go with them if I had that kind of money.

Very clean and professional office. I like when dental offices look up to date and not look like the 1950s and have old equipment. The office looked good and they had a newer X-ray machine I haven't seen before. The staff from front to back was awesome. Especially the front desk and the lady that went over the insurance. Only thing I didn't like was it was a little wait before I seen the dentist but that's understandable. Other than that I could see this being my dentist. After my extractions next week I'll make my final determination if this will be my dentist. 10/10 recommend.

Wouldn’t do a reline on bottom dentures after discovering they were made by another dentist. Wanted me to have a new pair made which I can’t afford at this time. He just lost a customer as I would have used them later on. Girls in office were super nice.
I am sorry for your experience today z Thank you for coming in. You said your denture was loose and was made more than 5 years. Every denture needs reline every 2 years and a new denture every 5 years. You came in with a situation that your denture was loose and need a reline, as a specialist and as your dentist after doing my exam I explained to you that your denture teeth and completely worn down, which makes it hard to chew your food and hard to keep your denture in, I recommended a new denture to fit your existing jaw measurement. Also, your Implant nylon attachments for snapon Dentures were completely destroyed and that is the reason your denture is not tight, I recommended to just replace those attachments addressing your concern that you cannot afford a lot of money, I recommended that instead of doing a reline change your attachments, which will be less expensive and is an easy fix, you didn’t give me a chance to explain and help you. Relining a denture will cost you more and will take more time, where as just changing your worn down nylon SnapOn attachments will make your denture tight and less expensive. I apologize for any miscommunication but you were impatient and walked out on me. Please call our office if you think we can help you. What an amazing place this is! I’ve spent the past several months getting some dental work done that no one else was able to do. The doctor was so friendly and personable. He knows what he is doing and does it with skill and confidence. He is truly a specialist. Everyone else that I talked with was so kind. I told them that now that I was done with my dental work that I was going to miss them all and that I would just have to stop by and say hello. I’ve never had such a great experience at a dentist office— ever! I generally avoid it as much as possible. This has been such a great corrective experience. I highly recommend this place!

The office manager always seems lost and has no idea how to bill insurance services etc. It looks like reviews are skewed. I got a crown and implant done here in May and the experience after has been terrible. My crown has since broken and I had to go to another dentist to restart all the work done on my implant.

Dr Kahlon from Modern Dental in El Campo recommended that I consult with Dr Kota on fixed implant dentures. From the moment I called to confirm my appointment until I walked out the door with my contract in hand, I felt welcome, important, and their desire to help me regain my smile and eating ability. Dr Kota, Evelyn, Eunice, and Tiffany were wonderful. All my questions were answered and fully explained. Samples of product options were available. They asked what I wanted and understood my needs. They offered help every step of the way. The faculty was comfortable, clean, and esthetically pleasing. Dr Kota has his own lab. He shares the CT scans with you showing exactly what his plan is, and makes an informed proposal. If you are EVER in need of any oral prosthetic, this is the first place you should go. I doubt you would need to look further. Thank you to Dr Kahlon for the recommendation. Thank you Sugarland Smile Center. I will have a great new smile very soon and will be able to eat the foods I love. Debbie Aug 2022 UPDATE: Surgery was done just under a month ago. All-on-X, uppers and lowers. Final result will be fixed bridges on implants. So excited! Please note that temporary (acrylic) plates had to be used initially so that bone healing could happen WITHOUT stress to the implants. Lower plate is already fixed, and I love it! During surgery, it was determined that I needed bone grafting in upper jaw. That plate is also temporary and is normal full arch floating denture. Dr K and his staff has been awesome in my care. Swelling finally resolving and soft liner was put in upper plate to cushion soft tissue. Because I used to grind my teeth (when I had my God given teeth), it appears that I still retain that horrible habit. Result was fixed lower plate actually injured my upper gums and I found myself in major pain. A quick call to office staff found me an opening in schedule the next morning. Another soft reline, and I'm out the door within 45 minutes. Dr K also educated me on the care of my upper plate (soft lining requires more detailed, yet tender care) than the normal hard lining I was accustomed to. I am well into my recovery and healing process. I have no doubt that I will be so very happy with the final product. I can not say enough good things about this dental practice. The doctors that perform the procedures, the lab tech that 'builds' the product, the dental techs that assist the doctors, the ladies that handle the front desk and are first contact with public, and office manager, Evelyn (and she deserves cashews), who is there every time I have a question or need - THIS, THIS, is what a service oriented business should look like. Ask them for my number, and I'll be happy to speak directly with you. I don't know where they have been during the years I needed dental care. But I'm so grateful they are there for me now! Call them, visit the office, ask every question you can think of (and they will offer answers to those you forget to ask!). I don't think you will regret it. Thank you, Sugarland Smile Center! This is my first experience getting an implant. I was apprehensive at first, but Dr. Kota assured me and everything turned out better than expected. The procedure was painless and I didn’t even take any pain medication afterwards. His entire team is wonderful. Eunice and Evelyn are always nice and pleasant to deal with (insurance issue and appointment). Tiffany has a great bedside manner. Dr. Kota’s pricing is cheaper than what my dentist quoted me. In this tough economy, not many people can afford getting a tooth implant considering how expensive it is. I appreciate any saving I could get. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Kota ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m one of those people that avoid the dentist at all costs, but I have to say Sugarland Smile has changed my mind. Honestly, from the time I walked in, everyone from the front desk to the doctor was GREAT. There are only four words that come to mind….. I LOVE THIS PRACTICE!!!!!!!! My veneer broke, and the doctor was so great! I texted him after hours on his phone he replied, immediately re-ordered the veneer and brought me back in, and replaced it. If you’re looking for a dentist that cares, look no further Dr. Vota is the bomb!!!

I had to go to this dentist in a terrible tooth emergency!! I was in so much pain!! It was time for an EXTRACTION! ??… The last one I got .. I was in unbearable pain so I was VERY SCARED. I actually started to cry and have a little panic attack on the table. But, both Tiffany and Dr. Kota we AMAZING! Very calming and very patient. They were so kind and I was able to calm down in a few minutes. As far as the surgery……. Dr. Kota was great! I felt literally no pain at all, he was very fast and efficient. And the BEST part … is …. There NO PAIN AT ALL!! Even after the tooth is pulled and it’s open!! No pain I’m amazed and so grateful!! Definitely recommend a thousand times over!!!

This was my 1st visit to this office and I was blown away. The staff was very professional and friendly. Checking in and completing forms online was excellent no paper and pens. The facility and equipment was very impressive and up to date. My visit with the dentist was like never before he was very personable and very knowledgeable and I felt he was very honest while consulting with me. Although they do not except my insurance I am researching ways to be able to afford and allow him to perform my dental needs in the days to come. I highly recommend this dentist and his team.

Everybody there was really nice. All I got was an estimate done but the pricing was fair. The only draw back was having to pay $250 for a CT scan which would be deducted if I had the work done there, where others were doing it for free. I was told I needed to go see a specialist elsewhere but was never given a referral on who to go see. But other than that I do plan on having the work done there.

Dr. Ashok Kota is phenomenal. The Smile Center genuinely enables smiles both professionally and aesthetically. The staff at the center is excellent. The management is diligent, courteous, organized, and consistent. Everyone there is genuinely welcoming. Warmth, human touch, and smiles are available in abundance. Once may easily experience them even behind the masks. A neighbor recommended me to see Dr. Kota for my implants, and a crown. Owing to the distance, I was quite reluctant. Luckily, I got an early appointment. At 69, one takes for granted to be grumpy and even cynical. I was pleasantly, surprised on the contrary. The staff welcomed me as if I was a guest of honor. The care for hygiene, and attention to details was obvious. Dr. Ashok Kota's thoroughness, clarity of thought, a holistic treatment plan, and logic were so appealing that I felt as if I was in the company of a lifelong friend of mine. He referred me to two other top notch doctors without a slight hesitation. What attracted me the most that he is very selective. His entire focus is on delivering quality. Though he does not accept the insurance plans, which does not pay fairly to professionals, yet he is so understanding and so reasonable in terms of his prices that even people in my age and financial situation would gladly stretch their limits to get the treatment at the hands of Dr. Ashok Kota. Dr Kota spent a lot of time with me discussing my treatment plan, much more than another dentist that I had recently seen. I am immunocompromised and the entire staff wore their masks correctly and wiped down all surfaces. He is also sensitive to my current health condition and will move forward only after receiving medical clearance from my other physicians. The entire staff is very pleasant and professional. My appointment today was definitely a five star with Dr. Kota. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He explained everything to me and did not try to sell me anything that I did not need. He did show me my options. His office had state of the art equipment, He took a Cat Scan of my mouth without putting anything in my mouth that was uncomfortable and in less than 3 minutes we were looking at the x-ray in the examining room. Who likes going to the dentist? NOBODY right? I start my review off this way because I, like most people, hate going to the dentist. When I was a teenager, a dentist was surgically removing my wisdom teeth and must of not numbed me well enough or it started to wear off and I started crying and moving due to the pain. The dentist literally held me down and told me to shut up and finished the procedure. Ever since then, I've had extreme anxiety and a deathly fear of going to the dentist. Most of the time, I have to be sedated because I literally can not handle the mental state going to the dentist puts me through. But I digress.... After a front tooth started causing me pain I went to the dentist and learned I had a bad cavity and the tooth would need to be removed. Not only that but the rest of my top teeth had cavities as well and eventually they would follow suit. I was then faced with the fact that I had a choice. 1. Keep coming back to the dentist over and over as each tooth started causing me issues or 2. Get them all pulled in one swoop and get implants. Guess which one I chose? If you said #2..then we are on the same wavelength at this point! So now I'm on the hunt for a dentist that A. Understands and works with paitents with anxiety issues. B. Experienced enough to do a professional job. C. Doesn't charge a small fortune After searching and making some calls I find Sugarland Smile Center *insert angelic singing here* Dr. Kota must have to wear an oversized coat or something to hide his wings because he's an ANGEL! For the FIRST time since my horrible experience, I walked into a dentist office and didn't have a panic attack. Even my blood pressure was normal. I'm not sure why I felt comfortable there, but I just did. Maybe it was because Dr. Kota sat with my husband and I and explained everything slowly. He answered all our questions and kept asking if I was doing ok while I was in the chair. Even my husband said he was surprised I was doing so well. At this point in time that I'm writing this review, I've already had all my top teeth pulled and have been fitted with a temporary denture until I heal. Then I'll get my snap on denture now that my implants have been installed. The fact is, I'm doing quite well thanks to Dr. Kota! So if you want my true opinion here it is: If you need a dentist that will offer you top shelf service at a reasonable rate, RUN, don't walk to Sugarland Smile Center. The staff is amazing and just between me and you... ......I hear he's running a special for his services right now... But you didn't get that from me!

My visit started with a phone call about a tooth extraction price with no health insurance. The woman who answered the call, Renee, was very helpful and let me know they were having a limited time offer of a free exam and X Ray. Renee even helped me find the office after my map app gave me a slightly incorrect location. Everyone in the office was very helpful. The dentist I spoke with was very nice/respectful, but direct and to the point about potential issues with my tooth extraction, which is exactly what I look for in any healthcare professional. I’m on a tight budget since I currently don’t have dental insurance, but the dental assistant was happy to take the time to discuss possible payment plan/financing options with me. I’d recommend this place to anyone in the sugar land/ south Houston area. I didn’t plan on getting my tooth extracted there, but after my visit i was happy to schedule an appointment for my extraction. Friendly and professional staff.
